Anonymous, Jul 2021 - Hilton Garden Inn San Diego Old Town/Sea World Area
The only good thing about this property is the location. Other than that, nothing. Worn out Hotel in desperate need of a renovation. Stained mattress, broken chair, liking bathrooms, mold in many parts of the bathroom. Bad service from the front desk. This property does NOT operate like all the Hilton Garden Inns I have stayed at. Not up to standards. Stay somewhere else.

Pros (+) Water offered in the lobby and safe parking. The location is fine in the old town .
Cons (-) Bad smell in all the three rooms I tried. Also, you feel that they are doing you a favor for anything such as the Wifi and parking space which was suprizing as it was indicated that parking is abalible, but once you check in, the front desk tells you that you need to pay $20+ per night for a parking space. The repetition of Hilton is down in my mind for the experience I had.

Pros (+) The common areas and rooms were very clean. The lobby was big and beautiful. Nice Spanish theme.
Cons (-) Original reservation was for one King bed. They have me the keys and we headed to our room only to find two Queen beds. When we went back to the front desk, they said our King room was no longer available because another guest needed to extend their reservation. They said they didn’t have anymore King beds available and there was nothing they could do even though that’s what my reservation was for...

Cons (-) Parking garage parking spots are a bit tight.

S., Apr 2017 - Hilton Garden Inn San Diego Downtown/Bayside
Pros (+) Location is great by Little Italy. Comfy beds, new hotel.
Cons (-) I didn't like that my phone rang with an unscheduled wake up call at 5:30 every morning. I spoke to the front desk the first night, and they assured me it wouldn't happen again, but it did. I was compensated with breakfast and bar tab, which was appreciated.

Pros (+) The hotel was modern, clean and comfortable.
Cons (-) The parking charge is ridiculous. I'm staying at your hotel. I shouldn't have to pay for parking, especially $40 per night. If I knew about the parking charge before I booked, I would have gone to a different hotel.
