I rented a BMW X-3, I was given a very small Cadillac SUV. It fit 2 bags, there were four adults. we rode with bags on our laps.

Bussiness hours are not right. First flight at hobby airport is at 6am , so if they open at 5, I have to check the bags, go thru the check point and then walk to the gate. I almost lost my flight.Move back the operating hours to 4am. Thats my suggestion.

Friendly fast service - didn't have the Ford Expedition but they got us into a Chrvy Tahoe instead. No issues.No complaints.
Ran out of vehicles and had get van instead of requested car. The van was dirty and was pretty rough.

Pickup took an hour waiting in line. Took 5 days from dropoff to get my receipt (needed for expense report). Dropped off a day early and they still charged me full price. Not a good rental experience, would recommend to rent from somewhere else.

Staff was friendly....Trying to find the pick up/drop off location was not easy....the hours on the web site are different than the actual hours... was stuck at the airport at 8:00 p.m with my 6yr old son with no ride to get a car because they were closed... but the web site said they were open to 1a.m..and when I called to change the hours I rented the car for nobody mentioned the change in hours!!!! I called two days before I was to pick it up!!

PICK-UP WAS HORRIBLE. WE WAITED OVER 2 HOURS TO RECEIVE OUR RENTAL. AFTER RECEIVING OUR RENTAL WE WERE GIVEN A CAR THAT WE DID NOT REQUEST AND WAS BEYOND OUR CONTROL AND WAS CHARGED FOR THE ADDITIONAL PRICE. Agents at pickup were very slow and seemed like they couldn't care less about providing service.
Didn’t like anything. The lady at the counter was rude, my reservation was for 11am but I didn’t get the car until 1:19pm. The restrooms were out of service so I couldn’t even use the bathroom and they gave me a minivan that didn’t even have Bluetooth.

We booked a car two weeks in advance but when we arrived with our group of 12 people, they had no car for us. When canceling the car on kayak to get our money back, we had to call multiple times and fight for them to return our money even though they didn’t have a car for us. We will not be booking through kayak again but will book directly through the rental car website.

I flew to Houston and ended up at Intercontinental instead of Hobby. When I went to the Thrifty counter I was told I was not in the system because I rented through Kayak / Priceline. My choices were, rent a car where I was or try to find a way to Hobby and rent the car I had reserved. I was in a hurry and figured i could get a refund from Kayak / Priceline once I explained my issue. I WAS WRONG. Called the number on my paperwork and after being on hold for almost 15 minutes was told no refund, no changes. NEVER AGAIN will I use Kayak or Priceline....

Our battery died and we had to wait an hour in the cold for someone to show up, and the mechanic who did told us the battery in the car was old and not good and that we’d be “lucky” if we made it to our destination without another issue. It was so scary!

I asked for just the basic insurance but was charged for an upgraded insurance. I was stressed trying to get home after my flight was canceled and didn't catch the error until I received my final receipt. I'll know to pay better attention in the future!

Thrifty ran out of cars. They informed us who were waiting in line for 20+ min. They wanted to put me on a waiting list for hours. But I had a work meeting to attend so I had to catch an Uber. Now I need to call kayak and priceline to get a refund.
It ended up being Dominique at National car rentals that saved the day. Our plane was late, and it was impossible to reach the Enterprise desk by phone to find out what to do before they closed once the plane was on the ground but we were still sitting in it waiting for a gate. We spoke to an off-site person via the given phone number who did not know the situation at this particular airport and did not have access to a phone number for us to find out. As it turned out, Enterprise hands over to National at closing time, but nowhere was this explained--we were worried about getting stuck at the airport with a person in a wheelchair and the rest of our group. Only a dire warning to be there 15 minutes before closing time, which we could not do. We got the car easily, once we knew it was all fine. Unnecessary stress before that. Thank you Team National.

Only car company that never has anything ready to go for reservations. I had to wait two hours and then instead of a full size SUV take a horrible old minivan with no features that was scary to drive then they wouldn't even give a discount. They are weird A F and wanted to take selfies on pickup too. Would have had to wait what looked like another two hours at least if I wanted to hold for what I actually reserved two months ahead of time.

The air conditioning was very nice on such a warm day.I could not get the car because I didn't have a physical credit card. My replacement card is in the mail but apparently they have to have the card to swipe. My virtual card was not acceptable.

We had an amazing trip to Texas and the minivan we rented was comfortable, spacious and held all our things, surprisingly. All the staff at Hertz Rent a Car were helpful and the drop off was quick and right across the street from the Terminal. We loved it!

When I booked on Kayak, it was one rate. But when I got the counter the Hertz rep insisted it was a much higher rate and forced me to take a $25 a day upcharge for a different vehicle. Very disappointing.

It looks like they close the pick up center at 11PM and we were there at 11.02PM. They had closed down for the day and it would have been bad for us out there hanging out with the kids. Thankfully the hertz employee agreed to help us and get us our car quickly but the information about the closure should have been made known to us ahead of time.

Office was closed when we got to Houston so couldn’t pick up our car. We had to take Uber to hotel and then another one back to pick up cat. You shouldn’t be allowed to rent a car if place is closed. We tried calling hours before we landed. But no one answers the phone. Will never rent from here again.

We rented for 2 days, but had to exchange the first car(Nissan Altima) out because of a bad vibration, that I’m hopeful someone knew about before we rented it. The tire pressure on the tire that wasn’t vibrating was 10 psi over recommended. Not sure how that was missed. The second car was the only one available and was just bigger than a smart car( Ford eco sport). Very disappointed with that but we made it work. Did come in handy when parking, but thankful we only had 2 adults and not our grown children with us.

Was given a form to mark damage on car prior to trip but wasn't given a pencil to fill it out
Staff were very friendly. Bus ride to the pickup location was quick and easy. Drop off location was a little difficult to find at first but once I found it, they made that easy too. The whole process was much quicker on both ends than I'd expected.

It took over an hour to get the car line was wrapped around inside the building and only two people working the counter. Then finally 30min a third person shows up but then one of the original two decides it's her break time and leaves. Ridiculous the amount of time people were standing there waiting for a car that 90% of everyone had already booked.

The car drove smoothly however the customer service was trash and this is the second time that I’ve used this company within the month and have been charged hidden fees I.e… brought the car on full and got charged $54 for a fuel fee… the last time I was charged for a car seat that I didn’t request and a late fee! I will not be using this company again, it lacks integrity and honesty.

Need to check out the cars better first one had a flat second one when we were half way to ou destination we noticed it only had one wiper blade
I was arriving to the Houston Hobby airport in a car with a friend. I could not determine how to get into the lot to get my rental car. The interior of the car was clean except for the piece of bacon on the emergency brake. The exterior not so clean. The interaction with the person at the counter was great. The drop off at Charlotte airport efficient.

The car was a beater. Dents and scrapes all over and the “see maintenance” light kept coming on. Upon return our location didn’t exist, along with several others. Nobody at these “drop off locations” knew anything about Avis returns. The customer service line wasn’t much help either. Made for a very stressful evening.

When I arrived in Houston, myself and a group of other people were told that there were absolutely no cars available. This information not only ruined my trip but I felt it was very unprofessional for National to relay this information through the shuttle bus driver rather than a manager. The next day when I called to see if a car was available, I was told that if there was one, my total was be 159. That was DOUBLE my original rental price for half the day. I am extremely dissatisfied with National and will NEVER book with them again.If I had gotten my damn car!

The staff/ Manager was absolutely rude and not helpful. She claimed the vehicle I reserved (full size SUV was not available upon my arrival at my reservation time. Asked if I wanted to wait or downsize my vehicle for what’s available. No wait time provided. Said it can be 5 min. It can be 45 min. Worst experience ever.
