I liked the shuttle service and the friendly and helpful maids. Please pay them more. And I really liked the dispensers in the shower and sink. It felt safe and quiet. I also liked the Buddhist book. I did not like that the gym had no water, that the treadmills were not well maintained, that one of the computers didn't work, that the pool didn't have fresh towels and didn't seem clean or opened until 10 am! Also the limited breakfast choices. I would like to report Johnson, a front desk staff who was unprofessional and gave misinformation based on perception. Specifically he told me that LAX has random Customs checks although I am an American. Then he made a comment that if Customs think you are a terrorist, you will be delayed so it is best to show up 2-3 hours before scheduled departure. I was very unimpressed with his callousness.
Employee thought it would be fun to tell me I had no reservation and I paid 400 for nothing, so after a 6 hour drive I was under the impression I was screwed. All for him to say just kidding. That's not something you want to joke about with someone .
No problems I would go there again
The employees were kind and helpful, and the facility would clean and confortable.
We stayed at this hotel primarily because of the airport shuttle. After waiting at LAX for an hour for the shuttle to come and pick us up we decided to spend $40 for a cab ride. There was hair all over the bathroom when we got there and a big hole in the carpet on the floor.
Price/Value, hot breakfast served, pancake, egg, fruit, etc. Clean room, everything worked, complimentary bottled water in room, really good lemon ice water in lobby Friendly staff, shuttle on time and friendly No pets, boo! pool and hot tub weren't infatuating, but others seemed to be enjoying older place under renovation, but didn't interfere with good stay
If you're on a budget this is the place! Staff is whatever. Staff could be friendlier. Overall good.
Very polite and efficient shuttle drivers!!!! Noise++++ Smelly++++ Initially front desk person told us the 6 AM shuttle was full and we could not take it. He said it was first come first serve and they were already full. Finally without any explanation told us to be at the front desk at 5 to 6. When we came down there were only other two people to take the shuttle not 20 as he said the night before.
bed was average comfort the hotel was a bit of a grungy place & a little run down. The restarurant was sub par & there was no contact phone # to get the free shuttle so I had to take an Uber to get there. Also the shuttle left early in the morning so the manager had to take me to the airport in his own car. I wouldn't stay there again.
Checkin Desk was extremely quick, courteous and helpful. Place was clean, affordable and nice. Location is not too bad and for the money is worth it. Safe!
Clean and comfortable. I slept and showered there and it more than met my needs. :) Walls are a little thin... could hear people talking in the room next to us. Nothing major though.
What's with the front desk clerk checking his smartphone messages while we were waiting to check in? Same guy had the TV behind the counter blasting on check out! Management needs to step up with general maintenance. Both room safe and refrigerator were not working! I guess that is the level guests might get for 100 dollars a night.
Good comfortable bed, free wifi, nice room size, large 42" TV, acceptable breakfast. Everything you need if you are on a business trip. Great value for money.
We really enjoyed the location of this hotel. It's pretty close to Redondo Beach, and has a lot of restaurants and stores around. It's a low key area, which was nice. The staff was also very friendly and accomadating. We were told the hotel was non-smoking, but our room reeked of cigarette smoke, I think from the room next door. We had to air it out and buy candles to try and mask the smell. Also the layout of the hotel meant that we couldn't really have our curtains open because anyone could just walk by and look in.
Friendliness and helpfulness of checkin staff appreciated. The room was large and comfortable. The free underground parking + internet a bonus.
Cleanliness, updated rooms, comfortable bed. Location. Lack of healthy food choices nearby but decent food is available if you look hard enough.
I didn't book online.. So they gave me on the first night over pricing for single room. Mean they wanted to charge me at first like suite 133$+tax for a single rom that is 67$. I compline so the insist on 103$. I am not smoking and they gave me a non smoking room that was stink from sigarets !! I had to sleep at the first night with the door open. Then to change the room was more energy from my side to convince that I can't stay there.. Also on breakfast always will be missing teams, like they don't know how many guest will attend to eat.. Very far from the beach. The room was nice with comfortable bad, but the lady who clean the room will clean it all but don't take away the used coffe glasses. Any way the motel is full so they don't care if you compline or not.
Large spacious room we were upgraded to a suite on top floor free of charge,Comfortable beds.Excellent wifi. Decent breakfast.Good security. Noise from adjacent drive thru Starbucks. Surly attitude of one member of recption staff who was very unhelpful about a late check out.Location not great for restaurants but within reasonable driving distance of Lax.
The staff could not do enough to assist, they were unable to provide a shuttle from the airport when arriving from New York when I called and reimbursed the taxi fare.I Had a late flight the following day back to Australia and they were happy to hold my luggage all day and drove me to the airport at 6 pm, many hours after check out. They also suggested a half day tour which provided some easy fill in time for the day and organised this with the tour company. The room was very comfortable and clean and I was able to prepare a simple meal having a microwave and refrigerator. The location was in a decent area, however, a little far from any tourist attractions, although the main purpose is its close proximity to the airport.
I liked the friendliness of the staff. They managed to receive my packages prior my arrival with no hassle and kept me in the loop. The manager is very friendly and helpful. Location is superb. Free parking was an add on Cleanliness! My sheets were not changed for 3 days in a row! Spot on the carpet...! And the toilet was not fully cleaned well on daily basis! Towels were not clean enough or maybe it was my luck to get a towel with a stain on! No bell man to help me with my luggage!
Plenty of it and pretty secure Wife didn't like the location and some of the activity that was going on around the hotel, facilities need updating.
I like the continental breakfast menu... The room didn't have TV working. My kids were very frustrated since I don't have TV channels in my house and kids enjoy hotel when they watch TV.My wife had a headache since lights were flickering and it took 2 hours to respond and when the technician came couldn't fix it and he asked me to adjust the bulb when it happens...Another lamp also was not working.....
The people were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good with waffles, cereal, juice, bagels, boiled eggs, and toast. Enjoyed our room and it was fairly clean. The shuttle from the airport was quick and easy to arrange. Nothing.
cleanliness of the rooms
It was ner the airport but the no smoking room I paid for I did not get!! Also their were very strange people and I did not feel safe there. Would not stay again!! Yes as I said, I stayed there because I was told there would be a no smoking room and I have very bad asthma!! I am still coughing and having to use my machine to help me breathe. I am very very unhappy with the room and the condition of the room. I told the management and they said they would call the next day and refund my stay but of course did not!!
I didn't enjoy my stay at this hotel. The room needed to be sprayed for bugs and ants. I didn't like the fact that the pictures online are very deceiving.
The staff was very nice. I booked the night online with our company card. When I arrived I had to show the card, which the owner of my company had back in SD. No where on the reservation did it say to bring it so I had to pay with my personal account. The room was filthy. There were still sticky rings from people's drinks on the nightstand. The fixtures in the bathroom were dusty. There were also homeless digging in trashcans and some men loitering near the elevators, leaving me more comfortably taking the stairs to the fourth floor.
The kids liked the breakfast and we all enjoyed the jaquzzi. It is walking distance to places like cvs, McDonalds and Papa Johns The coffee pot had a strong perfume like chemical odor that even after washing it I could taste it in my coffee. The duplicate key didn't work so we got new ones and they didn't work either.
-Breakfast was nice -A/C was wonderful -Parking was close -Good Thai place around the corner -HDTV's with low quality cable? -Bedding was hard to sleep in -Not enough charging plugs in room
3.5 miles to Manhattan Beach. 2 of the 4 front desk people we dealt with were very professional and nice. Brought a team of high school athletes for a tournament. On our first night there, one of our athletes found a bag of meth in the TV stand. They called the chaperone and one of our parents (a police officer) to come resolve the problem. I went to the front desk, furious that they would check us in to a room where a minor would find this. I demanded the hotel manager call me. I never received a call. It's an older area, but there are much nicer hotels at comparable pricing on the same street like the Baymont. Had issues with the rooms facing outside... smoke from smokers drifting into our rooms, etc.
Big beds and good wifi. The tv didnt work, bathroom door didnt close, bed was super itchy, breakfast consisted of a couple dry good options, hazardous chemicals by the stairs, overall unpleasurable experience but worth the money I guess?
The staff was extremely helpful and courteous and the location was perfect for my LA adventure. The smell of past cigarette smoke was very noticeable.
Fridge and microwave Old, no refund given!!!!!!!!!
A reasonable price for a hotel that's technically in Manhattan Beach. Room was clean if simple. Staff was friendly and helpful. No remote control in room, no soap.
My overall stay was good ,room clean and bed was conformable.
Called ahead to let them know I would arrive late. They said no problem. When I arrive they gave my room away and instead of 2 beds we got a bed and a pullout. Not OK. The first room they gave us had no water pressure so we had to move to another room. The front desk attendant had absolutely no remorse or empathy about the situation. Terrible service complete and total liars...
- Quick and easy Check-in and out - Modern and clean rooms - Great amenities for ladies (face wash, makeup wipes, etc.) - Complimentary breakfast (very good quality too) - Complimentary coffee and water machine 24/7 - Room service was very efficient - Staff were nice and helpful - Easy parking ($15/night) - Minutes from the airport - The location was good considering how close it was to the airport but I wish the area was more live at night and had more stuff to do - Gets crowded during breakfast hours (make sure to go early)
the location and being close to the airport for an early morning flight The hotel. The dirty worn out wallpaper, the broken AC units, the bathtubs that don't drain durning a shower. The hotel smelled like old cigarettes and the carpet in my room was dirty with crumbs. The pillows are all lumpy and half the size of a standard pillow. We requested different pillows but we're given the same type of gross lumpy pillows.
Friday morning there was a breakfast buffet with egg and sausage patties, waffles (cook your own) , muffins, fruit, coffee, fresh fruit and various waffle toppings. There was instant oatmeal and dry cereal with milk as well. I'm sure I might have missed a few items, but I was very satisfied with the choices. Ample tables and chairs to accommodate everyone who choose to stay there. Bring a tray from the room if you want to take it to go (breakfast in bed?). Warm room. There were too few stations on tv and only one chair in the room, but I'm sure I could have gotten another one if I asked. Wifi was spotty on 6th floor. Parking fee of $15 was unexpected.
Location close to airport, breakfast included Rooms were average, lobby more like a budget hotel, mildew in shower. It took 2 phone calls and a 45 minute wait to get picked up by the shuttle bus from the hotel 2 miles away. There was no restaurant on site, a very mediocre fitness area, and no pool, despite ads to the contrary.
I called hotel 3 times and shuttle never came at airport. I had to wait for 1 hr finally I took a cab to hotel DO NOT take this hotel if you want shuttle from airport.
Easy access, comfy bed, great amenities (tea, coffee, hot water in the lobby), friendly staff The shower head and towels need updating
Everything in the hotel was nice. Shower was clogged enough that the water reached our ankles. Unhygienic and disgusting.
Close to airport
Super amazing beds! Breakfast is decent. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Climate control didn't work in room, I don't think it worked on the entire floor so be sure to ask about it when you check in. Hair dryer was from the 80's. Parking for $15 seemed excessive.
great breakfast included. airport shuttle was very convenient. staff was friendly. bed was comfortable and everything was clean and up to date.
IT'S ALL ABOUT THE STAFF.....from our late check- in to shuttle arrival at LAX. Having limited knowledge of the vast local area, we chose this hotel because of the Wyndham name and its location to the airport. Each and every person of the staff treated us professionally, pleasantly and with a sense of real care regardless of the job description. Hats off to this team!
Clean, and luxurious feel. Easy access, and only minutes from Manhattan Beach. Restaurant was mediocre.
Everything!!! Parking charge.
Huge rooms deigned and furnished lavishly. A bit too far from any touristy attractions. Not a walking hotel b
It was a peaceful getaway for me and my wife. Very enjoyable and relaxing. Room service was magnificent.
Location and good price Front desk staff / accounting staff are incompetent They double charged for the room and then didn't seem to think it was a big deal. I'm sure it will get refunded sooner or later but just a hassle. First and last Ayres hotel stay
The room was really nice Well satisfied
The look of the hotel is very cool. The rooms were spacious and clean with a nice bathroom area.
All Pay for parking my car
The hotel is right off the freeway, and the location is amazing. There is a gas station adjacent to the hotel, which was great because we just walked right over to buy some waters.
Nice decor and great location Charge for parking which is ridiculous. Girl who checked me in was a bit rude
Clean, spacious, nice amenities. Close to freeway and airport. Lack of nearby attractions. Far from downtown and other tourist areas/attractions.
The room was ready and clean! The staff were friendly and attentive. We were only there overnight but it was very nice, quiet enough and clean (which to me is the most important feature)! Nothing, it was all good
Nice place, but not worth the Ritz premium. I would stay at the JW Marriott in Santa Monica next time I'm in the area.
the location room service food. the french soup was disgusting. There was also no glasses in the room. time it took to get the food valet parking took 15 mins to get our car
I like the avalibiliy of the staff For a younger crowd in there 25-30 age it's not an appeasing hotel it's more for older crowd like 50-60 so for me being a pro Olympic athlete and being 23 yrs old I didn't enjoy it that much
I liked that the hotel was near the water, close to a concert I was attending. I booked this hotel because they had balconies and it was near the water. The balcony was closed due to renovations. The bath tub was small , hotel was a little outdated. Not as special as a experience as I was hoping for
Staff is great, and generally a very nice hotel. Doesn't live up to our expectations based on previous experiences at other Ritz hotels. It feels tired, not as luxurious as others, and is starting to show some age without upkeep. A simple example would be the pool has cracked tiles and feels rundown.
I can't begin to find words to express how much we enjoyed our stay at the Marina del Rey Ritz Carlton! We arrived on a Wednesday morning with a sick child. The staff immediately took charge helping to get us situated with a room and going so far above and beyond ensuring that our stay was enjoyable. From the person who greeted us to take our luggage, to the valet, to the front desk staff to the wait staff in the restaurant and the gift shop (which opened up for us to get us meds in the middle of the night) to the manager who followed up even after we had left their hotel, every layer was kind, attentive and fantastic! They honestly made us feel like we were at home with family who was concerned about us. What a fantastic experience! T
Marina Totality , needs upgraded , bathrooms , amenities , need more restaurants .
Hotel staff was outstanding; from valet, front desk & concierge all the way through to pool attendants, room service and bell desk.
I booked a handicapped accessible room online and when checking in they had no record. Other than the booking problem I thought it was an excellent hotel.
Staff very friendly and accomodating. Was having work done on my apartment and needed a place to crash. everything was fine
Very clen, good breakfast and friendly staff.
I've stayed here twice. Both times were great. Clean rooms and bathroom. Comfortable beds. Pillows a little flat. Clean modern feel establishment. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Nice continental breakfast. If you have the time you can monitor the rates and save at least $20 off the normal daily rate. Love this hotel. Will continue to use as my primary place to stay. If you aren't familiar with the city it can appear to be a bad area. It's really not bad but it's definitely not Beverly Hills. All the major fast food places are in walking distance. Close to the airport and freeway. Needs to put a microwave in the lobby with continental breakfast.
One of the best Hampton inns I have stayed at !! Have stayed here 2x's and will return
We booked through a travel site and Hampton Inn staff was ill-prepared. Although we paid for three nights, Hampton Inn checked us out after the first night and I had to check us in again. Moreover, we were charged again for the stay even though we paid up front through the travel site. Getting our money back or to even get Hampton Inn to recognize the error was a nightmare. We recommended Hampton Inn to our relatives who were also staying for the Thanksgiving holiday. Because of my wife and I, Hampton Inn booked four rooms. Never again! We will never stay at a Hampton Inn again.
I had a flight in the early morning so I stayed here for one night. Room was spacious, clean, and convenient. Price to value was perfect. Free secure parking but you have to walk back down the parking lot and enter the building from the front instead of through the parking lot. The best thing is that it was 8 minutes from the airport! The area was a little sketchy and not a lot of food options near by. The woman at the front desk in the morning could have been a little more helpful. We left our car keys and room key in the room while rushing to our flight, and we had to wait for her to "finish her transaction" in order to get the keys. Breakfast eggs were not fresh and you could taste it but there were plenty of other options.
Check in was super fast. Parking was free & in a gated parking garage which gives peace of mind. Hotel looked updated and clean. Room was clean and roomy. Bathroom was telling perfect size. Wifi was free which is always great. TV worked well. The hotel room bed was super comfy. And the breakfast in the morning deserves a 5 star rating! Shower was probably the only downside.. the water was luke warm at its hottest & I didn't like the shower head water settings.
Everything was wonderful. The rooms are nice spacious and clean. The service was excellent. the breakfast was hot fresh and had many items. The indoor heated pool was very nice for the kids as we went in December and the weather was a bit chilly. Parking is free and the attached garage has plenty of space. Nothing
Friendly and helpful staff Clean Included wired and wireless Internet access (~8 Mbs up & down) Valet parking only ($15/day) Dated interiors Floors are creaky, can easily hear the guests walking around in room above
The staff couldn't have been nicer and it made the stay that much more enjoyable! Highly recommended and will stay here again!
I though the hotel's location was cool, off the main road but still tucked away and private. And the rooms were comfortable and newly renovated. I didn't like the rooms lay out. (No foyer or hallway to separate the room door from the sleeping area) You see the light leek in from under the door and the foot traffic in the hall feels very close as you lay in bed. Also the robes were only a large and fit me more like a child's robe than one for an adult.
I really thought the room was lovely--large. Things seemed updated and clean. Bed was fairly comfortable--everything worked well. Staff was warm and friendly. Cookies in the afternoon provided at front desk. First bellman didn't tell us that we could stay parked in the Handicapped Parking spot in front. Second bellman did, but a $10.00 charge appeared on the final bill. Staff took it off when I explained. Requested 4 pillows and a view as our most important request. No view and only 2 pillows on bed when we arrived. Bellman brought two more pillows after a phone call. Artwork in hallway is a series of gigantic pictures of 1950 ish dolls---creepy. Including a 5X7 framed photo of one of the doll pictures on the desk in the room. i could see one, but entire hall lined with them.
The room decor and space were both excellent. The bed felt firm in an inexpensive fashion, but was still reasonable in comfort. The real reason for the low rating in an otherwise four star establishment was the complete lack of hot water pressure at 1030 am on a weekday.
I arrived late because my flight from Miami was delayed a few hours. As I walked in around midnight, the staff helped me load up my suitcases into a trolley and directed me to where I could take my dog out for a walk. I ordered a breakfast that night for sometime between 9:00am and 9:30am the following morning, and it arrived promptly by 9:05am. The staff also allowed for a later check-out at 12:30pm to give me time to maneuver my belonging and dog. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. I would recommend. They stopped serving food for room service pretty early.
The hotel has many positives such as: clean surroundings, friendly staff, great food, free wifi, & an inexpensive valet. N/A
We loved the location, cleanliness, size of the room and price. Room service- the breakfast was awful! We didn't eat all of it because it was a soggy wet fried egg sandwich with rolls of lunch meat and wet uncooked spinach. Honestly don't get breakfast there. Also the front desk girl didn't make eye contact or smile once- not sure why but that got to me.
Very comfortable beds. Love the hip decor. Would come back again. Really Nice people. In general we really enjoyed Manhattan Beach more than other coastal cities. It's less cramped feeling and has a wonderful Beach. Valet parking. I'm guessing you could park in neighboring streets if you wanted. It's on a busy street but it's nestled back a bit so you don't feel it.
Love the idea if complementary cookies. I didn't eat any but the idea is great. Thanks. They nickle and dime you on the breakfast. $9.99 for a bowl of oatmeal. Nooooo! So sad. $30.00 for the two of us to have eggs, sausage and potatoes. Really. And the OJ was a separate charge, ouch.
Overall we loved the hotel and will go back. Very clean, comfortable, quiet. Nice restaurant/bar upstairs. Courtyard peaceful. Staff very friendly. The paintings of the "Barbie"-like girls in the hallway were odd.
My husband and I had a fabulous stay at the Marina del Rey Hotel. Our room had a amazing view of the marina, was very well appointed and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to that part of LA.
The remodel is first class. The front desk service was fine. The dining was terrible. Slow inattentive service, overdone steak, raw salmon, overpriced.
We loved the view, facilities, great beds and location of the hotel. No complaints.
Vibrant lounge with a nice view of the marina. $30 valet only parking option!! Weird odor in the room
Ambiance was great from the beachy/sea vibe in the lobby with the "flying" seagull sculptures hanging from the ceiling a wonderful scent machine in the lobby that makes you feel like you are at the beach. Very romantic setting at the outside bar complete with couches and fire pits. Beds were super comfortable. $30/day for valet parking is a bit steep when there is plenty of parking around the hotel. Give an option for people to park their own cars, even if you have to charge a fee.
Room was nice and clean Parking for $37, valet only was a rip-off!
Parking fee not included in stay
Service Rooms not ready for check in
The lobby, close location to Venice beach and the bar were quite nice. Staff is accommodating and nice. Rooms and interiors of the halls were old, carpet is definitely old, and the lounge for elite members is tiny (cramped seating). Really small outdoor pool.
It was right across from the marina. A beautiful setting. Convenient to restaurants and nightlife. The staff was very friendly. The room was immaculate and clean. I enjoyed my stay. I would highly recommend it.
The service and staff were great - hotel is very nice!
Location, room amenities Expensive, no complimentary waters in rooms or glasses (must be requested from front desk), couldn't get logged onto the wireless internet network in the hotel, loud party til 2:30 a.m.
The room was relaxing and comfortable. It was perfect for my wife and I to celebrate our anniversary. The price was a bit much for what it offered but I was willing to pay becuase of the location and it was a nice place to stay at.
We loved the location. And we loved the quiet professional attitude of all staff- everything done with a smile and curtious attitude. Extremely service minded- which made us feel valued as customers and we will definately stopover again.
Very dark and claustrophobic rooms. The colors are dark for a spa hotel. And very noisy. We don't call a spa hotel just because there is a tub in the room. more "willing to help" personnel instead of pretentious trendy ones. we request service.
- the staff were very friendly at all times - the location of the hotel was great, Manhattan beach and the surrounding area are lovely and its an easy 30 minute drive to central LA - it was very busy, the foyet doubles as the bar which was constantly busy with parties, this meant that there was nowhere for the hotel guests to relax or sit with a drink - the lighting in the room was very dark and due to being overlooked by the main road (ground floor) we could not open curtains to enjoy the sunshine, it began to feel a little depressing in the room!
the ambiance, proximity to the strand/beach, complimentary breakfast, overall service was good. it has the "cool" factor of the club atmosphere at the front desk. however, it is sort of unsettling checking in late in the evening in the middle of the club, without being all done up and all the clubgoers are sort of checking you out while you stand at the front desk. i recommend trying to check in before the night life begins there if you are at all self-conscious. i like the complimentary use of bikes and beach chairs. when we arrived our room was extremely hot - even the bellman commented on it. However, after 2 hours the a/c was still not working to get the temp down. We called to front desk at midnight and said we would like to change rooms in the morning. the next day no one contacted us to see if the problem was remedied. the a/c system is strange - it cut on and off all night. in the middle of the night it was very hot in the room but by morning it was freezing cold. the temperature never stayed consistent. it was a very disruptive 3 nights of sleep with the constant temp changes and the clicking and humming of the system turning off and on all night (approx every 20 minutes).
Staff were very helpful and location was perfect. Close to all the action yet quiet. In the evening you had to enter hotel through lounge bar which at weekends was packed so not ideal with kids.
THe desk staff was very attentive and accommodating.
For a "budget" hotel this close to the airport, they don't have to try as hard as they do to make you comfortable. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We even got upgraded to a jacuzzi room for no reason!
Bed Air conditioner not working unfriendly staff
The comfortable beds. Having to pay $10 for extra guets to park. Very thin walls. I could hear the people next door and on top!
The room is cosy and facilities are good like internet, microwave oven, etc. I would go there again if I have get the opportunity. no complaints
The rooms were decent sized Bad neighborhood, the shuttle driver didn't drive our shuttle bus time because he wanted to finish his coffee, the beds are very uncomfortable, we bought an executive room and they don't tell you until you get there that instead of having smoking and nonsmoking that they just stick an air purifier in the room and call it good.
the room, services and confort are vety good. The staff is friendly.
The room was excellent and in perfect condition. The bed was terrific. The room was quiet, even near LAX. The driveway area in front is very small. They need a sign: "Park in undergound garage and take elevator to lobby to check in."
I choose this hotel based on photos online , however they must have stolen the pictures from another site as the building nor the rooms were anything like the photos. It wasn't a terrible stay, but when I think the hilton was the same amount I should have just stayed there instead. Especially when this hotel charged for parking as well. I wouldn't stay here again unless it's around $65 dollars.
very good value for money, excellent continental breakfast available, room was very clean and tidy, lovely decor. The pool and spa made for a relaxing wind down. Small brekfast room
it is close to airport and staff is kind. no regular shuttle to airport except on request, it is not easy for people who doesn't drive car as the communication in south CA is poor.
Close to LAX. Clean hotel. Great breakfast. Free parking. Water pressure could be a bit higher
I liked the overall setup of the room. I found it to be very accomodating. The front desk did send someone upstairs; only to find out the person screaming had a mental condition. I was told that had the hotel staff known other arrangements could have been made. In the meantime; the screams continuad off and on my entire stay. I found it very disturbing and wondered how the hotel could have it differently.
location is a little bit far from down town but it's not big deal to you. and the price is very reasonable. I went to there with one girl and two guys. The hotel was very comfortable and even staff is very helpful and kindness. so if i have a chance go to the LA, i would book there again.
Service, room size, and breakfast. Not enough soap for us to shower
The staff was the best, the beds were excellent, the candy at the front counter........will be my choice always in LA......very close convenient to airport.
Clean, good size room that looked somewhat modern. Elevator was really slow but I can wait a bit
We stayed here with a couple friends for a birthday weekend celebration. Jesenia was really nice and calles us when we were able to check in early. The rooms were great. My cousin checked in early but didn't get the king bed she booked. So later she called Jeff and was able to get a better room. A suite! The rooftop lounge during the day was great. The bartenders was nice. At nighttime, the waitress we had was btichy. The lounge areas were nice but even for hotel fuests we had to reserve on opentable.com. the problem was we had a big group. They provide blankets so thats a plus but we didn't stay up there long. Lastly, Valet/parking was $32!
It was close and convenient to my son who lives in Venice. Stayed there in Dec. in the newer rooms on the top floor which was much nicer than the room I had this time. Also, I think the 6th. floor room was about the same price as the room where I was this time.(5th floor) Yes, I opened the sliding door during the night for some fresh air. It was difficult to sleep because of the noise(homeless sleeping in the alley) that my room overlooked.
The hotel is realy gret. Great staff, wonderful instalations..... So I really could live there. The price and the cost to park, once the garage is inside the building of the hotel.
We were planning to have our short, informal ceremony on the beach and then enjoy the rooftop; but, our view was so amazing, we had our ceremony right on our patio deck! Also, when I mentioned to Billy that we were getting married that day, he sent a bottle of champagne to our room! Unbelievable guest service! We will recommend the Erwin to friends & family.
Great location, very new, and very nice staff! Perfect place in Venice.
Was given great upgrade; rooftop is fantastic Absolutely everything was great!
The closeness to the beach and water and how close we were to Venice beach all the interesting people and places we saw was just amazing can't wait to come again The only thing I didn't really like was the view from our room
Miguel was fabulous and helped us in many ways, he went above and beyond. The entire staff was friendly and helpful The music on the roof did keep us up, and the ear plugs cost money
The tiny sign on the door entrance in the corner.. Stating that there were chemicals in the building from which you could get cancer from.. Was not clear when I book the hotel that the building is a health risk.
We loved the new and greatly designed rooms, as well as the young atmosphere of the hotel. The rooftop bar will take off - it is a great place. We will be back! The staff needs some more time together to make everything run smoothly. But they were always very nice and friendly - thanks for a great time with you!
Hotel Erwin is perfectly located on Venice beach, the staff is excellent, restaurant serves excellent breakfasts, nothing to complain about.
the suite was awesome! The rooftop bar was great. Blankets were clutch. Friendly staff!
Excellent service, good decor and layout of hotel plus indoor swimming pool. Staff friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Need to ring the hotel for shuttle bus when arriving at the airport, which is not handy when you have a non US phone
When I had first arrived at the Embassy Suites Los Angeles--International Airport South, I was mesmerized by the beauty of the hotel. I enjoyed the less busy location of the hotel as well. The hotel staff were friendly and comforting. There was no selection of expensive champagne. Kristal or Dom Perignon would have been preferred.
It was excellent & more than fulfilled our needs. Instead of just being a 'kill time / stopover place' we discovered a spacious suite, good bistro food, friendly staff, amazingly efficient check out system & free extras - free internet access, free drinks & nibbles early evening, an excellent breakfast included in the price & a no fuss free extension to stay in our room til our free transfer to airport was due. All more than we expected & reasonably priced. Highly recommend this as a place to stay if waiting for connecting flights at lax or just a family get together in la! Nothing to complain about - all excellent.
I thought it was lovely. Furniture was lovely and the room was spacious and spotless. The pool area was lovely and the free internet access handy. I would stay here again and would happily recomend it to others.
I had a long day and became stranded in LA overnight. The manager did a great job realizing my situation and helping make me comfortable and ensuring that I had all I needed..
I had a Christmas eve and Christmas day unplanned layover in LA. The girl at the front, Jordan really was sweet and nice. Helped my stay start off right.
location; airport shuttle; coffee in room; no valet parking
The bed was new and comfortable. They allowed late check-In. There were young prostitutes everywhere and the staff just let them.As well as Pimps outside. The staff even talked with Johns to arrange room visits with the prostitutes. It was uncomfortable atmosphere. The suite had several holes in the floor , under the carpet. The tubs drain plug was broken. But we said nothing since I was too afraid to open the door again.
Very pleasant environment. The suites are large and comfortable. The all inclusive breakfast was high quality. A clean, interesting and family friendly place.
Staff staff staff ... excellent staff,, very helpful also the room was very luxurious, hotel had plenty of amenities e.g. complimentary shuttle to my test center was very nice indeed of them. its location ,, as for me it was perfect for my main purpose which is being near my test center but once um done with my test theres nothing near by ... nothing to do it gives the feeling of an out of town hotel
I booked a room with two beds, when I showed up they did not have any rooms with two beds available. I had to book an additional room at my expense.
Extremely courteous and helpful staff and comfortable amenities. Indoor signage for pool/spa is lacking.
While being close to the airport you don't hear much from the planes.
The hotel was nice enough. I was in town on business and searching for places to relocate to in the area. This has always been my go to when I am on business travel and was excited to bring my girlfriend and show her where I stay when I travel to LA. Unfortunately we had some items come up broken after we were gone all day. Management never came to see us after they promised that they would. Nothing has been done about it. I am not trying to get anyone in trouble, but at least give me the courtesy of attempting to make it right instead of constantly saying sorry. Sorry doesn't fix it, it admits fault which further enraged by the lack of effort to make things right
Great staff, very friendly and a nice location close to LAX. Pool needed a bit more service, eg towels.
Good location. Close to LAX, not far from the beach. Room was great, very clean. Friendly staff, free parking was a huge plus.
Comfortable King size bed and a clean bathroom. Very slow Wi-fi connection and the noise heard from opening and closing of room doors at night.
Good price, clean, nice, friendly staff, convenient shuttle, nearby restaurants, very comfortable. no complaints
Hotel wass very clean & all the staff was very nice and courteous. Free breakfast was excellent- no waffle maker but there was a wide selection of everything else and a selection of teas which you normally don't see at any other hotels. There is some family friendly fast food locations very close by & parking garage was also very close Nothing to complain about except the rug in our room was stained so we wore shoes in the room the entire stay.
all inclusive. Not a very good area.
The room was pleasantly cleaned daily. Adequate workout room. Weekday staff was pleasant and accommodating. I PRE-PAID for a week and upon arrival was told there were no more rooms available for that which I PRE-PAID. After much discussion, they found a room. The room key kept deactivating, even though it was no where near our phones. Around July 4th - it is a VERY busy hotel, lots of large families. For us, overall, it was too far out from Santa Monica, however, there is a shortage of mid-range hotels closer to Santa Monica.
Did not get to experience hotel Did not like treatment from staff. There was a misunderstanding due to hotel staff misunderstanding me and using hotel jargon, assuming that I would know what she meant. When my husband and myself got to the hotel at 1am, we did not have a room to sleep in for the night and was forced to pay for another room in another hotel because of the assumption of particular staff member. When problem bought to person that created it, the next day, we were told that there was nothing that could be done about us being wronged and staff showed no sympathy and did not apologize. We then cancelled our reservations and would not again book here, being that we felt customer service was not good and did not like area of hotel either.
My honeymoon flight home was delayed and whenever i realized we wouldn't make it to the hotel that night I called to cancel. Was told that the rate was non-refundable. I am a Gold IHG Rewards Club Member and am pretty unhappy with their indifferent attitude towards their customers. I have NEVER had a problem like this before, hence my continued patronage to their hotel chain... so I'm not sure if this was a site-specific policy or a Holiday Inn hotel chain policy. But it sucks. It is truly bad business. Definitely rethinking my brand loyalty.
Same variety of breakfast items everyday
