The AC was good, there were extra pillows and blankets. The location was okay; it wasn't in the center but still walking distane The elevator was wierd sometimes it said that the maximum wight was reached when it clearly wasn't
Nice and clean room, good location. Very noisy, you could hear people talking and walking outside or water flushed in a neighboring room. I also booked a double room but got a twin room instead
Very clean, staff extremely helpful and excellent location Only thing we thought was lacking was tea/coffee facilities in our room
the location the hotel staff
Good location, easy acces to the center. Clean. We could hear everything from the rooms next door. One evening when we got back to the hotel we found the door of the room open, left like this by the maid I guess. Went down to the front desk complaining and all they did is tell us it happens.
Good location and nice simple interior design. Noise from the hall and the other rooms hearable, hairs from previous guests in the bathroom.
Nice, spacious room on the quiest side. Breakfast
The room was very pleasant and we were delighted to find that we had a very nice balcony, The hotel was ideally situated being walking distance from all the main sights of Madrid,
It is very close to historical places and known areas in the centre of Madrid. I also prefer to come this hotel again. Breakfast was perfect and had various fruits and foods.
Good situation for sightseeing in Madrid. Helpfulness of all members of staff.
Location / room comfort
Fantastic location on a street that has many great restaurants and bars! No fitness Center
Walking distance from pretty much everything (bars, restaurants, palace, etc) but the museums (Prado and Reina Sofia). Good taste in the choice of furniture and design. We had a room that was facing the interior "courtyard" which is in fact the hotel restaurant/bar, which makes it really noisy, impossible to sleep before 2am if you're lucky even with good earplugs. Sometimes it seems that the restaurant staff makes more noise than the clients. There is also no space reserved for the hotel clients such as a lobby or anything.
No Frills hotel: friendly staff, nice room + bathroom, nice price. The neighborhood around the hotel is not very interesting. It's a stroll to the metro and city center.
In the reception the was excellent in english in the Bar/Cafeteria the only spoke spanihs - very difficult to order a breakfast
Staff at this hotel were terrific, very friendly and always helpful. The hotel is very comfortable, clean and well located in a good area close to plenty of Tapas Bars and restaurants. Handy to two Metro stations, La Latina, and Puerta de Toledo. Easy walking distance to Plaza Mayor and Gran Via. Would happily recommend it and will definitely stay here again when next in Madrid.
Very nice location, friendly staff and overall good services We were placed in the room which had a leak on the ceiling from the top floor and had to change the room after the first night. It looks like administration knows about the problem but still puts people in this room when the hotel is fully booked (e.g. weekends).
Nice clean bright room. N/A
High cost of parking (20 euros per day). Double rooms small. Scruffy area .
Convinient location for sightseeing and clean and new facilities Couldn't find any. There was a ashtray which seems no smoking policy in the hotel. However, I couldn't smell cigarette.
clean, close to metro station the noise from the street
Staff friendly, idea location for sight seeing No tea or coffee facilities in room, street noise from people leaving club at 5-6am in the morning due to having a room at front of hotel.
Very good location, 10 mins from Plaza Mayor walking; 5 mins walking from Palacio Real. 2 mins walking from Basilica San Francisco El Grande.
Air conditioning was great, as was the clean and modern bathroom. The location was quiet but central to the city centre. Felt safe. Staff friendly.
bathroom, location double room - very small, in reception nobody speak english, 1star hotel? too much!!
I liked because my room was clean and the location was excellent. I didn't like because there was some echo in corridor, but I could sleep. And the staff didn't speak english.
clean too small
nothing is good in the hotel everything was terrible. it vas very dirty and bad smelling, it was impossible to sleep on those beds. ı never advise to anybody. my only recommendation is to the Booking.com that, they should expel this awfful hotel from their diroctory.
Good location. Clean rooms. Nothing. Everything was good.
The hostel is clean and not far away from important touristic objectives in Madrid. The only thing is that the rooms are small, but they are clean and you an have a good sleep. The personal do not speak English, but you can find ways to communicate. And the price was quite good considering the location.
The room, although small, was very clean and safe. Its aircon unit is new. The hotel's location is superb as it is walking distance to major tourist destinations and the underground metro that connects you to other parts of Madrid. Perhaps a more prominent signage of the name of the hotel can be placed on the building or the main entrance door, particularly on the buzzer, so guests will easily see which button to press to contact the hotel's receptionist in opening the door.
Spotlessly clean, excellently located, extremely friendly staff. Room was quiet despite overlooking a busy street, as there were double windows and sturdy blinds. Couldn't wish for more, and, importantly, the price was extremely low. Nothing comes to mind.
Bathroom of decent size and good water pressure. owners did not speak english so charades was necessary to convey info, and as someone sensitive to smoke, the owners were constantly smoking cigars in the lobby area.
