Well situated in centre of city, not far from the Gran Via. Metro and buses outside hotel. Friendly helpful staff, giving immediate attention when nescessary. Good double glazing, so no street noise. No refreshments at hotel, however it is self catering and there is a grocers shop 3 minutes walk away. Plus local indoor market. Will definately use again. I had no problems with the hotel. However the cooking utensils were very limited. It has no disabled access. The lifts are on the ground floor but there are 3 small flights of stairs to negotiate first. other then that .Nice hotel.
It was well located, easy access. Old and poorly furnished :Not really apartments, but hotel rooms with kitchenette. Didnt reflect the cost.
it's very close to city center, to the street of bars and shops. Available cost, good cleaning service in hotel.
Optimum position, two minutes by feet from the metro "tribunal". Very good staff. It should great to have a better snack for a Quick breakfast. Only two "croassant" is not enough for 2 people for 2 days. Rooms are a little bit in "retro" style but I think it's ok for visiti.ng the city
The room was basic but in a good location.
We could have visited all the most important objects in Madrid by foot. The location is very nice. /
Very well located next to the subway and walking distance to all the great attractions of Madrid. Also, the staff was very helpful and even spoke our language, English. Felipe and Iolona (not sure if that is spelled correctly) were both extremely kind. We especially appreciated how quiet the rooms were throughout the day and night. We also liked that the rooms had kitchenettes, free internet access and that the cleaning staff was very accommodating. This was a great hotel and good value for the money. One thing that could have been improved though was the air conditioning system. It shut off a couple times in the day and could make the room quite warm when it was off
Staff at reception very friendly and helpful. Location was excellent and adjacent to Tribunal metro stop.
To my point of view, best situation and room for the price we paid. Really confortable to get a mini kitchen to be independant ! Fridge and kitchen a little bit old... But we can't wish 5 stars equipment for 50 euros a day.
Room and lounge are pretty old fashion. But it is cheap and very close to the metro, walkable distance (20mins) to the central area, what can I ask for?
Family run hostal, good location near the Gran Via, very helpful owner. There was no room with private bathroom when I arrived, however the owner asked whether I would accept a room with a shower and basin for a lower rate (I was happy to). She had been ready to find me another hostal, though, so I have no complaints regarding the service.
Great location, comfortable rooms, warm welcome, value for money Entrance to hotel doesn't look great but don't let that put you off
Nice place, staff is helpful. Very clean room, safebox in room (costs €1 for each close/open, only such coins accepted). Air conditioning is good. Wireless internet quality is OK, password is easy to find. A bit hard to find for the first time, when going by metro. For older people it can be hard to climb upstairs when coming for the first time, but it's not a problem in my situation.
the rooms are middle sized, we were travelling with a 1year baby and we have fit, even if it was a little tight. the owner of the hostal is very nice, she speaks english and helped us whenever we needed. the location is very near to center but not noisy at the same time because it is little hidden from the main streets and traffic. the entrance to the hostal is a little scary :), but once you enter it is fine and evertyhing seems new.
Friendly staff and cleanliness of room and I met lovely girl to share the room with ;-))
It was very clean and the location was very good. The landlady was very nice. it was a little bite noisy
Very clean room. Brand new and clean bathroom.
Room is very clean. Friendly staff. Excellent location.
Very helpful personnel. One of the cleanest hostals equipped with new and good quality furnitures A little noisy / Small room
The hostal is situated in the part of the Malasana quarter close to Plaza del Sol and is quite interesting for nightlife and afternoon shopping. I liked the cleanliness of our room and bathroom, the room was equiped with airconditioning and tv. The room was quite small, and the nighborhood gets a bit unpleasent for walking during the "siesta"
The staff were extremely helpful and made all efforts to ensure that our stay was great.
Helpful staff. Comfortable room.
Perfect location, close to all major plaza's and more than enough nice tapas bars and restaurants around the corner. A bit thin walls, you could hear everything they talked about in the room next door.
Good location, 5 minutes walk from Gran Via, that's why it wasn't really noisy) Good and polite people I was travelling alone and I had a room for 1 person. the room was really tiny.
Good location, nice, clean room, very friendly staff (though they don't speak much English) These were not really issues for me, but others may want to be aware that there is not a hair dryer in the room and there is no breakfast. Also, the walls are a bit thin so you can easily hear the TV in the neighboring room, etc.
The staff were very friendly and helpful There did not seem to be any non-smoking rooms in the hotel. Non-smoking rooms just had the ashtrays removed and were probably smoking rooms if the demand was there.
Good location in nice area of Madrid and hotel personel spoke good English it works well
Room is clean and light. I have a fair space with two separated beds. And a nice bakery is in the first floor. convenient! It takes a while for me to find the hotel location. It is in forth floor.
central location, close to metro/shops/dining places Singleroom facilities were inadequate- bathroom was too small, heating was indadequate in room
Very clean, very accessible It wasn't a double bed as promised, but a twin.
It is very conveniently situated to the city centre of Madrid and easily accesible to the nearby metro. Clean and airy rooms with helpful staff. Only concern was that as it appears to be right in the centre of the red light district, we felt slightly intimidated when we had to leave early on our second morning to catch a train for our onward trip.
good location, friendly staff, very comfortable and value for money thin walls but if you have a stable nervous system it won't be a problem
Excellent position to explore the city
This hotel was a great value. Close to everything and very safe. Staff was friendly enough. Didn't speak much English, but it wasn't a problem. Rooms were very clean. Windows kept out street noise but walls inside very thin. Excellent hotel if your expectations are not real high and you just need a place to sleep. We would stay here again. The beds were very hard. The walls were very thin.
Clean, in great location and free WiFi No phones
Clean hostal, kind staff, very good position; I suggest it.
The location is very good. By walk can you reach all main attractions. The room was clean. The staff don't speek any foreign languages, but they helpful.
the location is very good, next to metro and many nice shops around. the gentleman at reception was helpful. quiet and value for money. the cat in the hostel is lovely too!
