Convenience for business meetings
The view from my room, and the room service. The minibar wasn't filled up totally some times basically on first days...
It was close to the Tube station and on a well connecting main road. The room was very clean and the range of toiletries very impressive. no free wifi and it was expensive for 24 hours
Location, across from subway station. Only one stop from Chamartin train station. A supermarket is very close to it. Liked the fast food restaurants on the subway station, very convenient for a quick breakfast or dinner.
Location Room standard was not on par with price
A decent hotel which you not write home about. Very small rooms. Low value for money
The jacuzzi was nice. There were a lot of products in the bathroom. The receptionists were talking and kept us waiting. They didn't understand English very well. I asked to repair the shower twice which they didn't. The taxi driver was waiting for 10 minutes before the receptionist told us that he was there.
near metro and also renfe station, clean and comfortable no free wifi
convenience to metro system quiet clean rooms great staff nothing
quality of hotel no tea / coffee making facilities in room
Location right at the train and metro station. In 20 min you are in the center of town. The staff does not speak any other languets as Spanish not even the reception.
The hotel has a very good location. You just come out of the metro or train, and it's there. Only 3 stops from Bernabeu Stadion if you are interested in football. We expected more from a 4 star hotel, but for the price it was ok. It was not so clean. The room needed some vacumcleaning and fresh air.
Travel convenience. Located above a major train and metro hub. Early accessible. If on business not appropriate to receive clients. Rooms were very noisy between construction going on at the hotel and the rooms not being carpeted. Way too noisy
I needed a location near the Chamartin train station. I would only recommend this hotel if you need to be near the Chamartin train station. Aside from that, the hotel is far from the center, very basic, a bit shabby for the price and utterly impersonal.
room was clean, breakfast huge, very good location in business quarter noise from street, noise from inside of the hotel (shower, toilets from other rooms), cleaner comming in the room at about 8 o'clock
Check in was easy. Web-site was easy. Internet access was good. Check out was efficient. Staff were friendly although language was an issue but we could communicate effectively anyway. Location was very noisy. Kids blowing up fireworks outside and partying in the street. Not the hotels fault but still made it hard to sleep. If any real criticism it would be that in comparison to the usual 5-star hotels this one was not the most pretty I've ever stayed in but for Europe it was more than adequate.
The staff were more than willing to help with questions and provide extra service.
The room was comfortable and always clean. A/C worked well. Nice shops right below hotel in public transportation center.
Location to railway station No access directly from the street
lovely friendly environment with easy access to any kind o transport especially metro, train 2 times we asked for wake up call at a certain time. 1st time we didn't receive a wake up call, 2nd time it was late 1/2 an hour.
Central location and rate
Very quite...the staff was around 24h...cleaning was very good and the rooms are huge..i'll definitely come back again.
I wish the Hotel staff especially at the front office are more educated wrt tourists locations and also speak english.
The room and bathroom were spacious and the bed was comfortable I chose this hotel because of its proximity to the railway station but had trouble finding after a 20 min walk we were so lost that we got a taxi from another hotel. We walked to the station from hotel once we had got rid of our cases but it took us about half an hour. We got a taxi back when we were leaving
i have stayed here before and but this time the quality was not consistent, the internet connection did not work, but wireless was made available. Also my colleague required an Iron, but there was none to be had only an ironing service. We didn't think it was too much to ask
Confortable and quiet. Good value for money. Sapacious rooms and friendly staff. I did't use any of the food and beverage services. The dark windows don't let the sun come into the room. Rooms could be brighter. A/C difficult to use.
Great location, metro station is near. Rooms were clean. Some members of the staff were not that friendly and helpfull. Airconditioning was not on though the days were quite warm.
Comfortable modern hotel better maintenance oversight.
clean, well equipped, free wireless LAN available from the room N/A
Cheap price Beds were very hard, staff was not very helpful, rooms were very noisy due to hard wood floors
Was not expecting such an amazing hotel for the price I have paid...room really big, tidy, clean, even bath with jacuzzi and breakfast was fantastic. Had dinner once that was really good and the same price you would pay in any normal restaurant in Madrid. Just did the calculations wrong and add extra for breakfast when it was included but once I called the atention they appologized straight away and correct the mistake.
Small hotel, great facilities, great staff No
The staff was helpful with directions getting me a taxi and other requests. I was a little disappointed that I had the room over the street, by the hotel's sign, as the hotel did not seem to be full.
The interio design, clean and well designed rooms, romantic, aristocratic atmosfere facade :) which makes bad first impression
Everything was OK No
The stuff was very friendly, attentive and responsive Breakfast could have been more diversed.
Friendly helpful staff. The Metro is just across the road which is very useful in enabling newcomers to the city to get around. Breakfast was good and served until 11am- ideal for the lazy tourist (me). Madrid in general has alot of traffic and you wouldn't leave the windows open at night in the Don Pio, especially if your room is at the front (thankfully ours wasn't). The open lobby/ dining room onto which all room open generates noise especially early in the morning when breakfast is being prepared and served. For the above reasons, the Don Pio would not suit a light sleeper.
Spacious room and good location for my business affairs One of the two bedside lamps did not work (burnt bulb)
beds were too hard. rest was Excellent.
Really good value for money and so close to public transport system and large supermarket. We chose this location because a friend lived nearby that we were visiting, for some people though it maybe a little far out of city centre. Don't be put off by that though because metro stop is across the road and runs an excellent service. We had room on ground floor and other guests in the public lounge area could see into our room when we opened the door.
the staff were very helpful and we were very pleased and happy with our stay
The location of the hotel. It was closed to a metro station as well as a railroad station, making traveling around Madrid very easy.
Late at night there were large groups of teenagers drinking just outside the hotel (botellon). That happened every other day, no problem for us though.
steep steps at entrance to hotel
I like hotel staff, all servises, including meal, are good. The room is comfortable, the bathroom include all things for hygiene, what I want.
The hotel provides really good food. The laundry service was excellent. There was a misunderstanding about why the A/C didn't work and later one or two staff members made sarcastic references to the matter right in front of me, assuming that I didn't understand them speaking spanish. Well, I understood them and thought making the issue a personal one was very unprofessional.
comfortable, clean pretty far for the centre, the staff could be more kind
its a very big and nice room and very clean.
The staff and the quality of the room were great. In addition, the view from my room (on the 11th floor) was fantastic.
Only advantage is the location to the metro when you can figure out where you are. However, the metro closes at 1:30am and you are forced to take a taxi and they can't even find the place. The taxi ride from town is 20 Euros and the people are not friendly. Even the taxi cab drivers got lost three times. Not a good location to see Madrid and would never stay there again. Manager was rude and charged for calls that did not even connect. Their other hotels in the heart of Madrid were even lower in price and they would not move us. The restaurant next door is terrible and a lot of street people under the train station at night and did not feel safe.
The room is nice..very clean and comfortable.
Room furniture, breakfast
Proximity to the office. Price.Low external noise. Only Spanish TV! Cleaning - linens and towels should have been changed at least every second day instead of not at all. internal noise from room neighbors. Meals only through room service and expensive.
the hotel was convenient and easy to reach the airport.I found all the shops near the hotel
The hotel location, spacious and comfortable room (our daughter had enough space to move about), welcoming staff, tranquility of the place.
The location, the comfortable and spacious room, the tranquility of the place, the decor of the rooms and reception area.
Very inconvenient time of the beginning of a breakfast
Reception staff was just superb! Even with few English they can help with everything.
The officials there are very organised, on standby and caring. This being the second time to visit stay in the hotel (1st time was in Nov 2009, and this time again Nove 2010). I plan to come back to the same place next year at the same time. I think I have nothing to report about what I didnt like during my stay in Aristos. To me everything was just excellent. The problem I usually find is the insistance to use credit card - master/american, etc, for registration. We, from the 3rd world such facilities block our ways. If my card expires would it mean that next time I wont have the chance of coming over? Yet I usually come with cash and pay without a problem? Please, do revise that procedure of requiring a card, or online registration methods.
