Loved the rooms and the tasty breakfast
Friendly staff, clean hotel, nice room, lovely food.
Central location and local transport links. Only 2 minutes walk to main shopping area. Breakfast was a bit disorganised. They regularly ran out of items such as bread, butter, marmalade, juices, cereals etc.
The convenience to the station and MEN which is why we chose to stay there, its cleanliness was spot on and the bed and pillows were fantastic
Location, and the quietness through the night
Excellent breakfast, nicely designed rooms Rooms weren't as clean as they should have been, Bar staff were very unprofessional
It was very central for the MEN and for shopping and the leisure facilities were brilliant
Chosen only due to its relative comfort and city position. No redeeming features. Lack of breakfast - given the inflated city room price.
Excellant modern hotel. Friendly staff 1 person dealing with checking out on a sunday morning after a full hotel the night before due to a big concert
Bed and bedding comfortable. Perfect location for a visit to the MEM Arena The catering staff's inability to understand basic english, very difficult to communicate.
The location of the hotel for concerts in the MEN is excellent. Nice to be able to eat in the hotel late in the evening. Limited menu but what e had was good,
Ideal location for men and a little shopping, double beds were great.
Hotel site convenience. Pleasant staff. Breakfast.
Staff friendly. Radio in room was very poor.
The location is excellent for the MEN Arena, Arndale shopping etc.The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. Good secure car park. Procedure for collecting car park pass is difficult especially if arriving alone and having to park on double yellow lines. Sleep was disturbed from 4:00 - 5:30 in the morning; initially thought this was guests leaving; however it seemed to be staff talking too loudly with alot of door banging.
a black tie ball was held which we attended for the price we paid breakfast wes not included
The size of the room was excellent and the quiet bar for a drink late on. The bathrooms could do with modernising
Didn't get to stay there as the event we were attending was cancelled very belatedly.
It was clean and comfy ,breakfast was very good plenty of choice ,and very handy being right in the centre of Manchester
Good room facilities, excellent bathroom, good location for shopping Conference facilities pleasant When checked in I was not told where to park in the car park so I ended up paying ncp parking charges Car park a bit lonely and passages to room very quiet and lonely for lone female
comfort of the rooms and been handy for the shops
i really enjoyed the bedroom it was very comfartable and i liked the design of the room. it was a good price for the room. it was a little pricey for a pint 5.30 for a pint of perroni.
Good clean room, good room service at reasonable prices. Nice big comfortable bed. Standard room had no bath but was set up for disabled use. Car parking away from the hotel. Long wait at busy times for the lift.
The staff were very helpful, especially the Irish chap (can't recall his name) who assisted us with our bags on arrival. The room was very clean and the presentation was lovely. The side of the wardrobe was broken but other than that everything was perfect.
The actual rooms we stayed in were luxurious, as regards decoration comfort and the bathroon was lovely as well. The food (breakfasst) was awful!
the rooms are at a excellent standard and compare favourably with five star n/a
Clean, warm and comfortable - a good base for a couple of days visiting Manchester city centre, and the MEN arena. Only concern was that although the water was hot as it came out of the tap, it rapidly cooled in the bath, so a good soak wasn't possible. The shower was excellent. It was very cold whilst we were staying there, but the room was warm enough.
We booked the Crowne Plaza on the way down to manchester on the booking.com app, was a great price and everthing was just perfect.
Clean(always a bonus in my opinion) and modern hotel, would recommend this hotel. Staff friendly and helpful.
Modern hotel in a brilliant location. Rooms were fantastic and extremely clean.
Clean, efficient, good location Thought breakfast was a little expensive
Proximity to city centre Room was described as executive twin - did not match up to this description. State of bathroom very poor.
Rundown, shabby Everything
The location. Ideal for Picaddily station and the airport train. Much better than airport hotels as the whole of Manchester centre is yours for the night. My favourite pubs, Marble Arch and Jolly Angler both close by. The room itself. When I entered my first thought was that the curtains were the same design as the wallpaper. Then I realised that it was wallpaper and there was no window. Practical though.
The man on reception who was very polite, very patient and tried his best I did get my supposedly up-graded room changed back to the originall lower graded room which wasn't nearly as bad. The room - bath filthy (I mean it) and broken, room very very smelly and very cold with no functional heating. window overlooked filth and razor wire
central location Heating doesn't work dirty bathroom damaged tap on bathtub flush lavatory doesnt't act up
the central location the air conditioning control unit was not working. The room got very hot! (room 207)
The hotel had all the facilities that a visitor to Manchester would need and I found the staff helpful and courteous and the central location is a big bonus, breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of food and in the evening I had dinner in the restaurant and the waiter was considerate and polite The hotel could do with some investment in the general decoration nothing was in a bad state of repair, just looking a little dated. In the evening I had dinner in the hotel and was I little disappointed that the one item on the menu that I wanted was not available.
The location Staff attitude - damp and dated interior of bedroom - decor/repair of floor finished to very poor standard. Room was not ready at 2.30 although we were told it was (communication problem) then given a smaller room to what was paid for that was ready. Maid very rude at 10.10 in the morning, saying she wanted to clean the room - when i don't have to leave the room until 11am. This was reported to the reception who apologised and said that they would have words with the cleaner.
good location friendly staff
I thought the hotel was an ideal situation for the Arena and for shopping. Good for a one or two night stay. Clean and friendly. The only negative was the size of the food area it was very frustrating because it was terribly congested and too narrow. The food was good for the price but didn't like the experience of getting the food on my plate. Ideal location with helpful friendly staff. I would use the hotel again
Location of the hotel was really good. You were by foot really fast in the center. Hotel was also really quiet, you were not able to hear neighbors or traffic although close to this hotel there were many pubs and restaurants. Breakfast was horrible, absolutely below standard.. There was almost none of healthy food available.. No cheese, ham, vegetables, porridge, berries.. Rooms were ok but there was no minibar, no storage facilities to clothes and bed was really soft which for us was not the preference -> Difficult to sleep long time since lower back was hurting after few hours..
The rooms were spotless and very comfortable , needs a bigger bar and dining area. Drinks were very pricey.
Very central Lovely decor Very clean
All staff excellent, hotel overall very comfortable, meals enjoyable ,Lack of air conditioning during a rather warm spell as no windows to open , only one fan to use for cooling down , however it did not spoil a very enjoyable stay
Booking requests for lower floor were given locality
Large room, comfortable and quiet enough for a good sleep. Very close to the men arena - easy walking distance Hairdryer in the room didn't work
location was good for access to shops and entertainment. bar was cosy and staff friendly. The pillow on my bed was too deep. When asked for an alternative thereh was no other options.
we stayed for two days and the service was excellent.breakfast was exceptional for the price.
I liked the price and the room was clean and decent for price with excellent location Having brkfast and seeing staff never wash their hands and handle not only used plates where people where coughing but laying out Slices of bread, with no tongs. Completely oblivious to cleanliness and safety. I was terrified to eat my food and never came back to breakfast.
Staff were very friendly and accommodating. No bin in the hotel room nor was there a full length mirror.
Clean and tidy. Not new, but great value and our Standard Double Room with a bathroom was well kept and gavel us no complaints. Close to lots of shopping and right next to the Cathedral. Great value and easy to get to from the free Mertoshuttle. WiFi was slow but our phones (Vodafone and O2) had full service so that was no issue for us.
cafe very good car parking very secure
Excellent welcome at reception. Agreed to request to change rooms
The bar staff were very helpful My room was freezing and it took almost 24 hours for the room heater to make it comfortable
it is convenient and has parking. The £55 a night price for a double is more appropriate than the £65 we paid last time
The breakfast was good. The hotel is very basic and very tired! Would not stay again especially at £ 80 a night!
proximity to MEN
Hotel was conveniently situated for MEN Arena Hotel staff were not very friendly
Location and parking
Within walking distance of mena & city centre; polite staff; comfortable room
The hotel was quite conveniently sited near Manchester's Deansgate and Arndale Centre - a 5 minute walk only. The staff were very helpful and courteous. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful. It was great to have free wifi in the room - that was worth any inconveniences. The room was small. There was no bath. The hotel was right next to a very busy road and the cars didn't stop 24/7. The road back from Deansgate was possibly unsafe for single female travellers; it was quite deserted and passed through an industrialised area.
