On your website, it lists manager special at a certain price. Then it lists manager special electric for a different price. I chose the manager special since I did not want an electric car. When I got to Payless, they told me I had to take an electric car. Which did not work for where I was going. They charged me another $30 a day in order to upgrade for the manager special to a gas card. It would have been cheaper for me to rent direct from anybody else in this situation.Reviewed Jul 21 2025

THE LINE WAS over 50 people long and there was one attendant working the desk. I cancelled the car but it required 45 min on the phone to get it cancelled. The line would have taken 2-3 hours from what I could discern.Reviewed Oct 28 2024

We prepaid for a Tesla 3 and spent $100 more than a regular car, but instead were assigned a small Mustang that didn’t fit our group of 4 plus bags. Payless said Expedia requested a small sports car. We would up being charged $200 extra for a Cadillac sedan in terrible shape (broken parts in interior). Called Expedia and they took a week to say that since we agreed to pay the fee (we had no choice, needed a car) we would not be refunded fed any money. We will never use Kayak or Expedia again after paying close to $700 for a five day rental of the worst car we’ve ever rented. Original price through Hertz was $380 and we are sure it would have been a nisl nice rental car. Miserable experience where we were misled and overcharged.Reviewed Oct 14 2024
