The bed, pillows and duvet were incredibly comfy. Bathroom was a good size with a great rainfall shower. On top of this the location was brilliant; everything in walking distance.

Cons: The breakfast became boring, not much variety with hot food and the boiled eggs were very hard - there was no option to have eggs cooked the way you like them. The room was standard, unfortunately there were chocolate wrappers to the side of the bedside cabinet and an old pair of slippers under the bed. This was a bit off-putting. Although the hotel is ranked as a five star, it seemed more like a four star. It is still a very nice hotel and I would recommend the hotel for city breaks or business trips.

Cons: The hotel advertised its spa and pool facilities, however they were both out of service until further notice. Felt ripped off as we booked into the hotel on the basis that they have spa and pool facilities. We did not receive a discount for the inconvenience. There was also no hot water on the day of our arrival which is not acceptable for a 5 star hotel.

Pros: My buddy and I stayed here for a week while we toured around in Prague and in Berlin. We were very satisfied with our stay. The rooms are very clean and the heated bathroom floors are an added perk that one can only really appreciate once they’ve used it. The hotel is centrally located to pretty much everything you’d want to see. On average, I’d say I walked about .7 miles to get to a place I wanted to see.

Pros: My buddy and I stayed here for a week while we toured around in Prague and in Berlin. We were very satisfied with our stay. The rooms are very clean and the heated bathroom floors are an added perk that one can only really appreciate once they’ve used it. The hotel is centrally located to pretty much everything you’d want to see. On average, I’d say I walked about .7 miles to get to a place I wanted to see.
Cons: It’s just a European thing but the beds are much smaller than what you’d expect in America. Also, the shower glass door is somewhat odd but it’s really not a big deal. Really, the only actual issue I had with this hotel was the A/C unit in my room did not work. Luckily, I stayed at the end of October so opening a window sufficed. The staff told me they would move us into a different room, but, to be honest, I was too lazy to pack all my stuff up just to unpack it. Lol So, it ended up being on me not having a functional A/C unit the entirety of my stay.

We needed to go to a hospital for an accident, but the front desk staff was not helpful to a first timer traveler to Prague!

Cons: I missed the first two nights of my stay because of missed airline connections, owing to a medical emergency of another airline passenger. I called as soon as the plane eventually landed. I was 5 hours past the cancellation deadline at this point (5 a.m. Prague time) and the reservation staff was not at hotel. I called 9 a.m. Prague time and explained, asking they not cancel my reservation. This happened two nights in a row due to airline intransigence. Reservation staff refused to budge on refunding either night's stay, even after I had to extend the stay by one day and spend another $150. I thought this very poor customer service.

The location was great to walk down to all the major attractions, room were clean and beds comfortable and wifi worked great in the room. The breakfast was a good spread and they even make omelette or hard boiled eggs on request.
Cons: I wish they had a gym. And found the housekeeping to be lacking - one day they forgot to put back the shower gel, which was frustrating to discover after stepping into the shower. And sometimes they'd forget to restock hand towels.

The breakfast wasn't the same all the time-there was a little bit of variety. The location is also very comfortable espesially for tourists and business trips, as there are two metro station next to the hotel and it's a 10 or 15 min walk to Orloj. At the same time it wasn't noisy at all around the hotel. For short, we enjoyed our stay at the BW Maj Plaza.

Of course, there is a good danger that the quality will not last. As we often see in similar new hotels, the moment the staff lets the first dirt spot remain on the carpet or upholstery, it will go down hill. But if they manage to keep their standards high, this will be my first hotel choice anytime I am in Prague.

Cons: Well, I think, that the reason why I feel a little bit upset about my stay at the hotel hardly can be removed or improved. The matter is that there is a bad bathroom sound insulation. We didn't hear any sounds but only the moments when somebody - I mean our neirbours - took shower or bath. I could hear the water sound and the noise because of using different things at the bathroom. So sometimes I thought that our neibours had their bathroom in our bedroom. Nevertheless it would be a little bit stressfull only for those people who has a sensitive sleeping like me:)) My husband slept very well in the mornings and heard nothing:)

Cons: It was like a good symphony badly played, the Aircon was poor, you could not cool the room enough to sleep under the doonas provided, the windows, single glazed, let in a lot of noise, nothing was replaced in the room in 4 days. They grabbed your bags in the foyer and you then had to tip, not giving you a choice.

Pros: The hotel is situted in the old town and only a few minutes walk from the Square/Astronomical clock which is the hub of the area, and walking on further brings you to the famous Charles Bridge where you can join a trip on one of the canal boats (Kr.2.90, which includes a beer, coffee/cake or ice cream) and the Captain gives a very good commentary on the various points en route (and quite comical). Excellent value. Lots of walking tours to go on (I noticed some are free) and most leave the square at 11am. I was on one that also took you to a Czech cafe for an authentic lunch, which was enjoyable. The Department Store next to the Hotel was good for rolls/juice and saved lots.

Cons: We were shocked by the currency exchange rate. We had booked online a double room for 314 euros. When we went to the hotel and gave our credit card, they charged 340 euros worth of Czech currency! So be sure to avoid credit card and take cash with you there if you don't want to see a 10% increase in the hotel price. The receptionists were very rude, and they were bad in English. The view from our "very small" window was terrible. The morning we left, the receptionist offered to call a taxi. I told that we were waiting for airport shuttle. Instead I kindly asked her to call the driver to ask when the airport shuttle is arriving. Her exact answer: "You have your own phone sir. If I call, the hotel has to pay." Are taxi calls free then?

Cons: The room was nice although had no air conditioning, and as it was hot during my stay the choice was to open the windows to the noise of the Jazz club across the alley which went on into the early hours and hear the dustmen lift the bottles in the morning - or swelter! However, Reception gave me a fan to keep the room cool. Bed was hard, if you like that. And, the 2 x tiny tins of nuts they have in the room cost Kr0.60 each, not Kr0.60 for 2 pieces as they list, ridiculous, so avoid. As it happens I only went down for breakfast on one morning; not a huge buffet display I have to say, more sweet stuffs than savoury, I had some cut up tomato/cucumber, cheese and baby rollmops (the eggs must have all gone), so for me wasn't worth the bother

Pros: Excellent service from the staff and a very spacious room (by European standards).
Cons: Its location is central, however, the neighborhood is a bit seedy, as there are "cabarets" on just about every corner, and men who approach you and solicit you to go to these places.

Pros: We liked the central location with easy access to the metro and train station. Also short walking distance to Old Town area. Quiet and comfortable rooms. Good breakfasts. Efficient and helpful receptionists.

Pros: just the location, it is perfect. you don't need to take bus or merto to visit the historical Prague
Cons: The breakfast was poor. and if you want to have a shower you shoul do it with cold water- there was no hot water!!!
