I liked the kindness of the sraf. They helped us with every question and need. the room was cleened every day we left the room
Staff was friendly and location was amazing...it was near the most popular part in prague... Ac was not cool enough...but weather was good anyways...
The food and drink were excellent and the rooms were spacious and well presented. The service was good and staff very attentive. Heavy smoking in the bar with no area to go to get away from it.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the facilities were just what we required for our long weekend in Prague.
1. Very friendly staff. 2. Large room with all facilities needed. 3. Excellent buffet breakfast. 4. Suitably located close to Prague attractions. Nothing. We had an enjoyable time.
very friendly staff. good facilities. central location
As shown above we paid for an upgraded room which included CD player and free pay channels. I was with my daughter and as we did not intend to be out late in the evening having films available to watch was the reason we upgraded. I asked the hotel reception and was told that they were not available.
Staff were very friendly, rooms beautifully furnished and a lovely upgrade due to the fact that this was our wedding anniversary. Breakfast is excellent.
Central location. Good breakfast. Efficient staff.
We had a wonderful time at the hotel, all the staff was very nice and helpfull. I recomend this hotel to every body.
service, design, breakfast, location
The location Wifi was working very badly. I wasnt able to connect to it and the staff was not skilled enough to help me.
Excellent location, nice stuff, comfortable room.
We liked the central location with easy access to the metro and train station. Also short walking distance to Old Town area. Quiet and comfortable rooms. Good breakfasts. Efficient and helpful receptionists.
The Location is exellent. Hotel is Clean and safe for Tourist and Business people.
Excellent service from the staff and a very spacious room (by European standards). Its location is central, however, the neighborhood is a bit seedy, as there are "cabarets" on just about every corner, and men who approach you and solicit you to go to these places.
friendly , helpful staff
Fantastic location Breakfast was disappointing
Nice location Old hotel
Unfriendly staff. Location is excellent. Facility is old. Room small but adequate. Good to just sleep, take a shower and get the hell out
just the location, it is perfect. you don't need to take bus or merto to visit the historical Prague The breakfast was poor. and if you want to have a shower you shoul do it with cold water- there was no hot water!!!
The location, spacious room, friendly staff and excellent breakfeast poor lighting conditions in the room and lack of lobby
Hotel staff most pleasant & helpful. Good variety for breakfast. The location was not in a good area. "Cabaret Darling" right next door gave an indication of the type of area we were in. This is a pity for the hotel as it is very good.
We were very satisfied with the location, staff service, comfort and etc. We found the room very small.
the location of the hotel none
The hotel is beautiful. Our room was clean, comfortable, quiet, and completely lovely. fantastic location in Prague!
Great hotel in a great location.
Location, cleanliness, friendliness & efficiency of staff, good breakfast. NO
The location is very good for a tourist in Prague
Excellent value for money, Breakfast was great. Nothiung
Very nice hotel. Comfortable rooms. Free English movie channels. The two strip clubs next door made it difficult to walk to the hotel at night without getting harassed to go in. Also, large groups of men hung out in the street which was not ideal for a solo female traveler
Really loud Staff was not friendly
Perfect location to everything. Need to get better pillows
very welcoming and clean. good location
Configuration of shower is strange: you have to stand closer to the end of the bath tub, on top of big drain plug, which sticks out.
Wonderful modern hotel. Large hot breakfast buffet with a lot of variety! Very friendly reception staff. During our 5 day stay, the housekeepers did not clean our room on several occasions. We would see them smoking and chatting in the courtyard frequently, but they worked very slowly.
Absolutly everything. It was a wonderful hotel.
Lovely rooms, enjoyed the junior suite Facilities, such as ironing board, tea and coffee making etc, were not available in the junior suite to which we upgraded.
Rooms were excellent and the staff were very helpful. The breakfast was fairly low quality.
This is a quiet hotel in a good location just outside the historical center of Prague. Access to the center of the city is no problem (a 10-15 minute walk), while a Metro station and a tram stop are close at hand. The rooms are spatious and well furnished. Free wireless internet in the rooms is particularly useful for business travelers. The reception people were quite friendly and helpful. Overall a good choice for a conference trip in Prague The breakfast could be better, given that this is a 4-star hotel and Prague has excellent coffee and pastries everywhere!
Very friendly and helpful staff. Good location, close to the Old Town. Nice, newly furnished rooms
Rooms are clean and silent, but... ... service is everything - very low-profile.Small window (0.5m x 0.5m) at the top of the room does not give much light. Shower made on the opposite side of the wall is not convenient to use.
The room is big, high ceiling, furniture is new, bathroom is very comfortable, the bad was a little hard – exactly as I like. The staff is very kindhearted and understanding. The breakfast is great. Hotel location is very convenient – few minutes walking from center but still in a quite place.
The room is clean and very confortable. The hotel is not far from the city center (10 minutes by walking). The air-conditioned was not working well.
The breakfast was excellent, location was great, room was stunning Nothing all good
very nice hotel in the center of Prague. Very nice interior terrasse.Highly recommended
small and central
Central location, comfortable room. Had to change room after first - had requested double, and it was really twin. Also lot of noise from street. Second room was fine.
The location of the hotel is great. No wireless internet in rooms
The position of the hotel is very good and affords easy access to restaurants and sites. Yes. The breakfast was not inviting and the service was indifferent.
The staff were friendly, helpful and responsive. The room was spacious and beautiful. I love the frescoes! The location is perfect - just steps from the Old Town square.
The location was great and the whole style of the hotel inside and out was fantastic. The staff were friendly and very helpful i will definitley return to the Iron Gate on my next trip to Prague. Nothing
The location /cleanliness & service were excellent as was the buffet breakfast. The staff were also very helpful with local knowledge.
Excellent location in the heart of the old town. Our suite had a separate living room, comfortable furniture, excellent internet connection. Breakfasts had a great selection of items. Staff were unfailingly friendly.
large, airy room. asked for a twin ( 2 ladies) but upgraded free to a suite which had a double bed. however. hotel immediately made up the bed settee for me so in effect we had a bedroom each. staff- nothing too much trouble the bath. it was huge but also you needed a wide stretch to climb into it. it would have been impossible for some people to use and there wasnt a separate shower so no alternative bathing facilities. also there needed to be a handle on the wall as climbing out of the bath was a leap of faith with nothing to hold on to
mostly location some of the service
Great hotel with a wonderful location. 24-hour bar and restaurant were exceptional. Friendly and helpful staff.
Excellent location ,very nice staff , comfortable rooms , good value for money
comfortable , but boring , unappealing and oldfashioned without the old charm. Friendly staff
what great and in a great location.
Very helpful and nice staff! Excellent location for shopping and tourism! Good breakfust Paying wifi access unless you're on a suite.
Quality of the room, reception staff friendly always wanting to help.Quality of food.Central location. Most unfriendly restaurant staff.Never saw a smile. It seemed as if just pouring a cup of coffee was doing us a favour
Clean, great location, nice facilities, nice staff, quiet
Friendly and helpful staff. The buffet breakfast was expensive as well as drinks, juice, coffee and snacks at the Hotel Bar
We stayed for 4 nights and everything was just wonderful. Most of all was the location (right in the center of the city) and very luxurious for it's price! We got a much better room than the one we booked and even a small problem with the a/c that was making noise, the stuff fixed it right away and everyone was very polite! Everything was perfect! Nothing bad, everything excelent, we will be staying there any time we visit Prauge
Hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. We had 3 people in our party (two twins and a extra bed). The hotel room was a little tight for 3 people but we only stayed there to sleep. Location was fantastic. Everything was within walking distances to great clubs, bars, and food. I highly recommend checking out Bombay Bar and then M1 Ultra Lounge for a great night (get bottle service). The main tourist attractions were 10~15 min walking distance away. Nothing really but if i had to nitpick: Room was a little small. The elevator was slow? They charged for late check out ($30 for 2 hours - think). In comparison, we didn't get charged for late check out in Amsterdam, Berlin, and Vienna. Laundry was expensive - pricing based on individual article of clothing.
location of the hotel 1- There is no available iron and iron board in the room, whenever you need it you have to call and they bring it to you and the come and take it back after 1 hour. 2- there is no much choise in the BF.
Location is amazing! Service was good but not really 5 star.
Location was amazing and a very romantic city Street noise could occasionally be heard but this is due to central location, it's ok if you are a heavy sleeper.
The location was great and staff very helpful especially in booking restaurants etc. Great view Of old town square Because of the fab location the down side is that you could hear lots of noise from the square, so if you need quiet you would have to forgo the view!
The location was excellent. The staff were very pleasant. We could hear some noise from people in the Square during the night but this wouldn't prevent us staying here again.
Gym room is missing
Location, size of rooms, fabulous bathroom No lounge or sitting area
The location was very good and breakfast just perfect! The only thing that I was dissatisfied over was that I got a room with a window in the roof.
Hotell staff was really friendly and helped a lot with any question we had Shower was not easy to use
Close to juesh comunity A bit noisy
Good location No tea or coffee making facilities, no cafe or bar. It was impossible to get a cup of hot water for a lemsip at the hotel. Rooms were quiet cold, under floor heating in bathroom did not work. Had to request extra blankets.
The location of the hotel
The location was excellent, near to everywhere but not too noisy The hotel room smelt of cigarette smoke, even though it was a no smoking room. The Hard Rock Cafe below the hotel were advertising a beverage in lights on front of the hotel, which every 30 seconds or so went across the window. Tnis was only on Saturday night and didnt effect my friends sleep, only mine
The hotel staff was excellent. They were very friendly and professional. The location was great within walking distance of all downtown sites. Everything was good.
Very friendly and helpful front of house staff who also spoke very good English. Hotel ideally situated for visiting all attractions. Spacious room and bathroom. Room smelled of stale cigarette smoke (smoking is permitted). Pillows very flat and only one per bed.
very central only very small roof window
Great location, 10 min walk to old town square, very clean, modern, comfortable, breakfast is decent. Rude staff but above average by comparison to czech standards. Advertised wifi in room but this is not true. Only in lobby.
Cleaning could have been better, room needs more electric plugs in my opinion. Room very dry.
This is a new hotel and right now it is in extremely good shape. I like the location with easy access to shopping and all major attractions. My hotel room didn't just have hotel-like furniture, rather, it was designed in a type of art deco style. Obviously someone actually thought this trough and it shows. Of course, there is a good danger that the quality will not last. As we often see in similar new hotels, the moment the staff lets the first dirt spot remain on the carpet or upholstery, it will go down hill. But if they manage to keep their standards high, this will be my first hotel choice anytime I am in Prague. The buffet breakfast, although good, had rather limited choices.
location and beautifully decorated hotel, excellent breakfast It was like a good symphony badly played, the Aircon was poor, you could not cool the room enough to sleep under the doonas provided, the windows, single glazed, let in a lot of noise, nothing was replaced in the room in 4 days. They grabbed your bags in the foyer and you then had to tip, not giving you a choice.
Everything was almost perfect during our stay at BW Maj Plaza. The staff was nice and friendly, we had our room cleaned every day and the way how it was done was nicely with care not to tuch our thigs. The breakfast wasn't the same all the time-there was a little bit of variety. The location is also very comfortable espesially for tourists and business trips, as there are two metro station next to the hotel and it's a 10 or 15 min walk to Orloj. At the same time it wasn't noisy at all around the hotel. For short, we enjoyed our stay at the BW Maj Plaza. Well, I think, that the reason why I feel a little bit upset about my stay at the hotel hardly can be removed or improved. The matter is that there is a bad bathroom sound insulation. We didn't hear any sounds but only the moments when somebody - I mean our neirbours - took shower or bath. I could hear the water sound and the noise because of using different things at the bathroom. So sometimes I thought that our neibours had their bathroom in our bedroom. Nevertheless it would be a little bit stressfull only for those people who has a sensitive sleeping like me:)) My husband slept very well in the mornings and heard nothing:)
Well-maintained hotel, close to Wenceslas Square and Old Town, with friendly, polite staff and providing ample breakfast to suit all tastes. Its closeness to the centre's drinking establishments can mean noisy revellers on the street below on a Saturday night.
Convenient location, breakfast
good central location for sightseeing. Room comfortable. Noisy outside with early morning bottle bank collection.
The hotel was very clean, but we found its style was old fashioned. I had requested a double bed in my booking which you confirmed was available, on arrival i recieved a twin beded room.
Everything was excellant from start to finish. Great location, all the main sights were easy to reach. Very comfortable and clean, excellant breakfast. They even left a bottle of champagne in our room the night of my boyfriends birthday. I can't fault anything about this hotel, I can't believe people complain about it.
Large room and bathroom, huge and delicious breakfast included, good location at junction of old and new city. Wonderful executive sitting room with free wine and drinks and food and friendly staff. Smoking was allowed in the public bar/lounge which made it unpleasant to sit there. Also, it would have been nice to have a nightlight in rhe bathroom. ,
Everything was fine, location is especially excellent... Breakfast room was small and crowded... Some staff was very helpful but there were also some guys in the breakfast room that were not polite...
Location and convenience No Bath robes and slippers in the rooms.
I liked the attention of the staff the most beside the excellent room. No complaints
Brilliant. Staff excellent and friendly. Wide selecton of breakfast - cooked breakfast, fruit, cereal, breads etc. The room was clean and well furnished. The bed, pillows and duvet were incredibly comfy. Bathroom was a good size with a great rainfall shower. On top of this the location was brilliant; everything in walking distance. Room service charge of 200CZ for every delivery. I thought this was a bit extortionate considering I wanted something which was only 120CZ in the first place.
The location of the hotel was excellent, right in the city centre and a step away from Namesti Republicky metro The breakfast became boring, not much variety with hot food and the boiled eggs were very hard - there was no option to have eggs cooked the way you like them. The room was standard, unfortunately there were chocolate wrappers to the side of the bedside cabinet and an old pair of slippers under the bed. This was a bit off-putting. Although the hotel is ranked as a five star, it seemed more like a four star. It is still a very nice hotel and I would recommend the hotel for city breaks or business trips.
The beds were very comfortable and the room spacious (for Europe). The staff was very helpful and friendly. An included hot Breakfast Bar was very much appreciated. The location was perfect as it was the spot where most tours kicked off. Nothing! I would absolutely stay again!
the service was excellent. The staff was always happy and attentious. the building and the room were first class. The shower was too short. Thats the only thing we have to complain about this great hotel
The welcome was the best I've experienced in all the hotels I've stayed in. Both the Porter and Receptionist made sure that we were alright, and I saw them treat other guests in the same professional manner.
The situation, the quiteness, the praticality Aircondition (Functionning only on the prefixed degree by the Hotel)
Helpful staff, spa was excellent and location perfect. Included breakfast was a great addition Room didnt get turn down service and bed linen wasnt changed even when card left on bed to request this
Very comfortable stay, friendly staff, good spa/gym facilities and a small pool even, and a great location in the very centre of old Prague City. I thought the breakfast was pricey, especially when the menu was limited compared to many other Hotels of its Class !
The Hotel is beautiful, the room was exceptionally comfortable great bathroom with bath & lovely Crabtree & Everlyn products. Health club included a small swimming pool. The location is excellent, tram stop almost outside the front - which made getting around the city a breeze, fast & efficient service. Also a supermarket opposite. The Hotel is very convenient to all the sights Having to check out
room was spacious. very limited vegetarian food in brakefast and lounge
Very nice hotel in the city center, close to all main sights. Quiet room, friendly staff. They also have very good restaurant, definitely recommend! Really glad we have chosen this hotel!
Very nice staff at both reception and restaurant! Very comfy bed, nice quiet room. We will definitely come back to enjoy the night and the food at Zinc!
location main loby,
Location and friendliness Noise from construction which was not told to us prior to check in
The staff in the executive lounge were most helpful...ad the location was great for our first visit to Prague. The management attitude is very poor when it comes to assuring my satisfaction with the maatresses in the hotel...like sleeping on the floor. and I have a billing problem. They did not honor the rate you gave me of 217 euros per night.,
I had good time in the hotel the AC is not qualified
Great hotel in the very city center! We enjoyed our stay a lot, inluding the dinner at a Zinc restaurant!
The hotel it is placed in a very good location, within walking distance from the main turistic attractions. Very, very, very clean. I liked very much the breakfast bufet: good variety, everything fresh and tasty. The noise from outside but, due to the fact that I was walking all day long, it was not a problem for sleeping.
Closeness to city center Staff was not always kind
Comfor At my arrival hotel reserved from my account 40Euro as a deposit for mini bar!!!!
Loved the heated tile floor in the bathroom!
Really good hotel
The hotel is located very centrally. We liked the Hotel overall, but the management of the Hotel should probably look over the currency-rate policies, since they charge unfair rates which obviously creates a lot of irritation and disappointment among guests as I could hear. I was lucky though, since I was prepared and paid bill in cash Eur, which I recommend here!
delicious breakfasts, different and tasty fruits for breakfast, polite staff, comfortable bads. no teepots in the rooms, no fresh juices for the breakfast
a bit far from the old-town
The hotel staff, the cleanliness of the room and the comfort
The service was very god, and i was very quiet in the evening. It was in the absolut towncenter. The breakfast was very good.
sillence and later chek out
Comfortable,good location and Luxury hotel!
The hotel is in a perfect location for sightseeing, eating and shopping. banks nearby, good range of restaurants nearby. Staff helpful and friendly. Bar and Library tasteful, comfortable and relaxing. Buffet breakfast outstanding, food constantly replenished, coffee appears like magic, dirty crockery likewise. Rooms spacious and very well appointed. Rooms would benefit from provision of hair dryer and trouser press.
Superb location right in the center. We were so lucky to be upgraded to a two floor spacious room that was really great. Breakfast with champagne and good variety. Friendly staff.
The location is very good. Rate locale as a 9 out of 10. Overall, this property is a 3 star at best, but with a great location. No access to coffee in the morning until after 7:00 am. $15 surcharge for room service which was very limited. Breakfast only.
Good location Large rooms, friendly and helpful staff could have have larger breakfast selection, eg omlettes/sausages/eggs
We've spent 12 days in Europe, starting in Prague and ending in Vienna. The Ventana was the best hotel we stayed at, even better than a Relais & Chateau hotel we stayed in. And it was reasonably priced for this quality. Highly recommended.
Absolutely top class location next to the Old Town Square and all the attractions. Really spacious modern style suite with mezzanine floor and a big arched window looking onto the square, room 45. Staff were very courteous and helpful. Will definitely recommend the hotel to family and friends. Buffet style breakfast was very good, but could be improved with a better selection of cooked breakfast
POlite staff. Tasteful decor. Good breakfast.
Location, room/view and comfort
I regard this hotel for me as perfect.Nothing more to say. No
Good location, good reception, very nice hotel.
A beautifully renovated Art Deco hotel. A convenient location for the sights of the old city. Good breakfasts. The building next door was being renovated which meant that we were woken up at 7.30 for 2 mornings until we were moved to a quieter room We did not feel that the receptionist who dealt with our original complaint was very sympathetic although the next complaint was handled efficiently.
Location. Close to Old Town Square
Centrally situated. Helpful and friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. My room was very good - everything I needed. Bar area - Not very welcoming!
The decor, ambience & the very relaxed atmosphere. We also thought the breakfast room was excellent Would have liked two chairs.at least one an arm chair in the room, rather than one, seems petty but it meant if we wanted to relax either my wife or myself had to sit on the bed.
comfortable the bathroom too narrow
This hotel is perfectly located in the city only a short walk to the Charles Bridge , old town square and many many restaurants . The staff was professional and spoke english. Breakfast was a buffet that was well presented and had several choices for everyone. I am overall very happy with K&K Central and would stay again.
The fact that it was very well plced for walking, trams and underground
central location perfect for sightseeing, helpful staffs (asked for local restaurants/bars, which were all great), and nice lovely breakfast the hallway was a bit messy, smelling a bit like a smoking floor when we had asked for non-smoking room.
nearness to Old Town 5 minutes walk and the Cafe Imperial
Great art deco design with some excellent attention to detail and in a great location (if you turn right out of the front door). Room quite spacious for a city centre hotel. Bar is small - not somewhere for an intimate or quiet drink. Bar staff were often absent and never enthusiastic. Rate quoted on activehotels.com was not what was charged by the hotel - the rate was quoted in Euro and the hotel charged in Czech Koruna.
The hotel rooms are decorated very nicely offering a sense of luxury. (1) The hotel was located further away from the major sightseeing attractions than I expected. (2) The hotel staff were fine however they often seemed put out at the front desk when asked for assistance. (3) The duvets on the beds are too small, leaving us exposed (and, therefore, cold) throughout the night as we slept. (4) Smoking is allowed in the common areas of the hotel which made it unpleasant for us non-smokers.
I am picky and spoiled when it comes to hotels. I stayed in an executive room for three nights here and it exceeded my expectations and rivaled some of the most luxurious, expensive hotel rooms I have stay in -- and at a small fraction of the price!! The hotel is a short walk to everything, a train station is less than a block away, and a tram runs right out the front door. When you first enter the hotel, the lobby is deceiving because it is small, worn and, dated. Enter you room and wow! The upgrade to the executive room is well worth it. It was exquisitely appointed, spacious and luxurious with a powder room and separate full bathroom. L'Occtaine toiletries were a nice touch. The bed was very comfortable and the linen was exceptional. The room was quiet. The breakfast spread in the hotel's famous restaurant was excellent. I am glad I booked the room with the breakfast option. It was very well worth it. Bottom line: I doubt I will ever find a better value anywhere in the world any time soon. The lobby needs updating.
Helpful friendly staff and extremely comfortable and attractive accomodation
Beautiful room and very good service from the staff
Beautiful room. Very good restaurant. There didn't appear to be any routine schedule with regard to housekeeping. Sometimes it would be before noon and one day the room hadn't been cleaned by 2 or 3 in the afternoon and we refused service because we would have had to leave the room.
right in the center of the city, the hotel is walking distance to all main attractions. a very helpfull concierge and front desk. slight problem with the climatisation of the room due to weather transition period which was solved immediately by the technical service.
The staff were helpful. When I was told by the breakfast lady that breakfast wasn't included in my room & I showed her proof that it was & she wasn't honoring it, the front desk manager corrected the error The black out curtains in the room, facing the bright street were broken
Location was excellent. The concierge was most helpful with concert tickets, directions, and a recommendation for a great restaurant. Very nice breakfast. All staff I dealt with was very helpful.
Very friendly staff, excellent location for the Christmas markets
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Room cleaning missed our room 2 times due to sleeping in.
excellent breakfast, lovely large room and clean, room bathroom. the staff were courteous and efficient, well dressed and attentive. first class. there was no nonsmoking area downstairs in the lobby area though food was being served; we arrived late in the evening and needed a snack and we had to carry our food up to our room which was inconvenient. the smell of smoke pervaded the hotel. i wouldn't stay there again because of this but i would stay at a hotel in your group if there were nonsmoking facilities. also, the tv in our room was not tuned in to an english station though in the hotel guide it said that it should have been. it would have been nice to be able to watch the news at least in english; there were many german channels and one french as well as the czech channels but no english channel. i would recommend the hotel but not to nonsmokers.
Nice place, boutique style, good big room with high ceiling. 5 minutes walk from Praha 1 center. Good walking tour with Vered in Hebrew. Food is so-so.
friendly, well set out room, good bathroom
Close proximity to railway station.Breakfast included in room rate. Only limited snack menu available.
The best in Golden Tulip was the size of the room. The worst was the cleaning. They don't worry about your cups, the bathroom, etc
Amazing service kosher meals a big plus walking distance from all the great sites beautiful spa
Location was excellent. As a single woman, I had a concern with the ground floor room, and Daniel (A+:) changed my room, cheerfully. Other staff were very helpful at the front desk with questions about tours and event bookings and directions. Breakfast was good with hot eggs and meat, very well managed with good staff. My room was rather large for European standards. Bathroom nice. I was a little apprehensive upon initial approach, because the hotel was not pretty and then the entrance steps not grand with old carpet and dark hall leading to reception.
It is very close to the old town area. Location was great. The large rooms are immaculate and air-conditioned. Breakfast was fantastic. Area in which hotel is located is not the cleanest - but we felt safe walking from there to the old city area - just a minutes away.
The room was far nicer than the lobby would lead you to expect...a really nice, spacious, very clean room and bathroom! The entrance to the hotel was nothing like one would expect of a four-star hotel.....more like 2 star, but the room was excellent.
Comfortable and clean. We had a mostly comfortable stay, but there were a few weird things worth mentioning. This is a koser/jewish hotel with many conveniences oriented for participants in the religion. Most of the guests are Jewish, so if you dislike hearing constant hebrew, maybe choose a different hotel. This was not obvious via Kayak where I was doing searching, I should have dug a bit more. This did not effect our stay, was just surprised on arrival. - Our room was in the lower floor near the spa and a few service rooms. There was constant noise outside our room in the mornings. - One morning we had no water. - Our TV cable was unplugged so we just got static, had to investigate and plug it in. Just weird... - The marketing pictures for the hotel were extremely generous - border-line deceiving. Actual sizes of rooms were much smaller. - The location looks amazing, but street view it first. It's near a major intersection and highway. On the ground floor rooms you get some road noise. Overall, we were very laid back guests so these things didn't kill our trip, but these were the facts. In retrospect the price was probably not justified.
Very helpful staff. Made every arrangment you needed.
The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. The breakfast buffet had a lot of options. I had to leave at 5 a.m. and they made sure I had a light breakfast before leaving. The location is great; I walked everywhere. I assume since you book by the room that a single was not available. Travelling alone, I would have appreciated an option for a smaller room.
Fantasic location, within very easy reach (walking) of the castle, Mala Strana, Charles Bridge and Old Town Square, as well as numerous restaurants and bars. Excellent rate, as I booked in advance and got the special advance booking rate, so didn't pay full price. Large selection of food on offer for breakfast, with really friendly, helpful hotel staff. Room was spacious and modern and very clean. Loved it here and very happy to recommend. N/A
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Central location. Near to castle and within easy walking distance of Charles Bridge and Old Town Square.
The hotel was in a wonderful ancient street just below the castle. It was an interesting old building which had been tastefully reconstructed as the hotel. The staff were very helpful and very polite. Breakfast was good. There was nothing bad about the hotel but being on a steep street it would not be suitable for everyone.
Very nice hotel, staff is very efficient. Beautiful decoration, great facilities and really liked that buffet breakfast had some local products. Heating was a bit of a problem, we didin't now how to use the heater. The rooms should have real double beds instead of to singles put together or at leat have one big comforter instead of two small ones. Bigger pillows would also have been more comfortable.
Nice big room. Hotel well located. The room was hot and the wondows could not stay open during the noght because of to much noise. Next time I will ask for a room not on the street side.
The Golden Wheel is ideally located in Prague's Mala Strana area, about half-way between Prague Castle and the Charles Bridge. The rooms are immaculate and extremely modern (renovated several years ago) which is a delightful contrast to the charming exterior of the centuries-old building. An excellent range of breakfast choices is included in the room rate. The front desk staff is superb: very knowledgeable, very friendly, eager to be helpful and available 24 hours a day. The hotel is boutique size (17 rooms) but offers a level of service better than most properties that are ten times its size. My group of four friends (all very experienced travelers) spent five days at The Golden Wheel and we all agreed it was one of the most enjoyable hotel experiences we had had anywhere in the world.
I can't think of any negatives about the hotel. We had a wonderful large room with a small terrace and view of the castle. Walking distance to the castle and Old town. The breakfast was very good and the staff very helpfull. What a beautiful city. Parking was the only problem, I wouldn't recommend driving there.
The room, the facilitis such as free wifi in room no
the location is very good, friendly staff parking is expensive
The staff was freindly and efficient.
I thought the hotel rooms where a little tired and could do with a bit of an update to the rooms
Well decorated, very clean. The rooms are pretty spacious with comfortable beds, the bathroom also spacious with super large mirror. Overall, the equipment in the room was in great shape, nothing broken or overused. Very quiet rooms, we did not hear neither the street nor any other rooms, but our room was in the corner and the windows were pointing some back yard, so maybe not rooms will be alike. The bathroom had very poor air ventilation. There's no view whatsoever from any hotel rooms, the building is surrounded by another large hotel and another large building. The WiFi is super pricey, and I cannot understand why, though they do have an Ethernet connection available in the rooms, not only WiFi.
excalent service, staff were very freindly and helpful
The service in the bar was very good, hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a good location, 2 minute walk to metro stop and 10 minute walk to Old town Square. After staying at other 5* hotels around Europe, I was a bit disappointed by the rating of this hotel. At best it should be 4*. The rooms were just 'ok'. the breakfast was good, but expensive.
large and clean rooms, the location of the hotel, the concierge staff was verry helpful there werw not bathrobes, breakfast was poor, the reception staff was'n verry helpful, the conditioning air was too cold, no view from window, the windows could'n be opened
It was what I expected from a Marriott. Good room size, facilities and good breakfast. The Marriott Prague specifically > no morning gown, no morning slippers, not much on amenities compared to other Marriott hotels in Europe.
Situation was central to most tourist sights within walking distance Ouiet location but central. Decor good and a very comfortable bed at the end of a busy day excellent sevice staff very helpful in the hotel Would have liked tea facilities in room we had them in New York Marriot so missed them in the Prague hotel
Location very central and easy commute to and from airport. Small bath
everything expected from a 5* city hotel the water pressure in the shower was usually very low. also the water temp.fluctuated(maybe if somebody else also opened the taps in the same line...). this happened on both visits. may 18-19 and may 21-22, 2010.
