- The location. - The services. Nothing
The hotel was what I expected, and suited all my requirements The terrace restaurant and bar on the roof of the hotel is a huge disappointmnet. As a woman travelling alone I was made to feel distinctly unwelcome. Moreover, the food was not what one would expect at the price.
location Altough it has been mainteined good, the building is very old.
location, staff they cleaned our room just when we put "please make up our room" note; no russian TV channesl
Service was superb. Classic elegance and at the same time, very convenient. Access from the main Piazza and to the marina.
Excellent location - so close to thre Pantheon and walking distance from main sights.
location, view, comfort, services speed of in room house keyboard internet very slow
The roof restaraunt and bar were great. The room was small and the bed matress was very hard and uncomfortable. The rooms were too modern--when you go to Europe you want to stay where the rooms are old fashion and full of past times.
The location was why we chose this hotel. We were a twenty minute hoof to St. Peter's one way, and five minutes to the Coliseum the other way. It was a great home base from which to explore the eternal city. We were also surprised when they upgraded our room at check in. Room size was outstanding for an older hotel. We've stayed in many dozens of old hotels throughout Europe, so we are not surprised when some parts of the experience are a little ragged. It had been unusually warm. I figured the building's environmental systems had been switched over to heat for the winter, so our room was uncomfortably warm. After a shower, the tub took a long time to drain fully. The minibar was restocked before our second night. Even though we took nothing from it, we were charged for items used by previous guests. Lastly, we did not get turn-down service on our last night. But these kinds of missed details are typical for Europe, and did not bother us.
Location Small room.
Location, Roof Terrace Room was poor, not refurbished, Bidet did not work (water pressure low), dark, looking to the inner side. We booked a room directly at Hotel Minerva in December 2009 and got a much better, larger room for the same price. Obviously booking.com is getting the low-cost left-overs.
we stayed in the navona sutie and it was terrific. we celebrated my wife's birthday and they supplied us with cake, champagne, fruits and gifts. the shower was not great and could use instructions as it had many features.
Luxurious; great location and views from roof terrace Reception staff OK but not overly helpful, waiters / waitresses very helpful; expected food, drink etc. to be expensive but was actually exhorbitant
All staff were very kind The gym was not confortable, very cool and not any matress at the floor for exercices, not sauna ??
Excellent central location just off Piazza Navona. Nice rooms, well decorated. Staff friendly. Bedroom was too hot at night - air conditioning had been turned off.
Very nice hotel that managed to avoid the many modernisation gags that have destroyed the atmosphere in so many formerly great hotels - without feeling dusty, at all. Yes, the corridors and the lift could do with a new coat of paint, but who cares. My room was spacious and lovely, with a private terrace overlooking the rooftops; perfect for having breakfast while catching the first rays of the sun. It's a small hotel. Take the Danieli in the sixties, cut it up and let a small piece of it overgrow with vines in the middle of Rome: voilà, the Raphael. Staff exceptionally nice and well-trained. Location unbeatable.
Proximity to the sights
evry thing is excellent staff is excellent the hotel is away from metro you should use taxi but no broblem as the hotel is central the taxi will not cost a lot no room service after 11 pm
fantastic location, ambience and service
The staff were very efficient and pleasant. Very good location for siteseeing and shopping in the heart of Rome. Very good restaurant with quick efficient service.
Good location, modern and clean. Good rooftop bar and nice to have a spa although we didn't use it Room was small however apparently this is normal for Rome
From rooftop terrace to being able to step onto Via Giulia and walk to everything, this hotel is a fabulous mix of location and comfort. The subterranean spa, which is complimentary for guests, is okay but a little more rustic than we were imagining.
Although we did not use the staff very often when we did they appeared helpful and attentive. none
The staff could not have been more helpful. Everything we asked for was delivered with speed and a friendly, helpful attitude It would have been nice to have had a few more English channels on the TV without having to pay extra for them
The service is top notch. Everyone is so friendly. They are always checking in to see how everything is going. Breakfast is really good too. The room could be a little bigger and so can the bathroom.
Perfect location. Room was very comfortable, clean, modern, overall extremely pleased with my choice. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooftop bar and restaurant was a fabulous way to end the day and see sunsets. Will definitely stay at this property next time in Rome.
Great location. Gtreat A/C Small rooms. Minimum spa. No pool. Limited parking.
location almost perfect, friendliness of the staff, food is excellent, excellent renovated hotel. we will be back in rome just to stay in the hotel!! the only remark was some traffic in the street in the front of the hotwel, when the city was waking up.
Great staff, clean rooms Would love a bigger room
Located in a very interesting area.staff very helpful and professional.room very well appointed and comfortable. Breakfast was too predictable
It 'location Hugely over priced.
Modern, very high standards of service, excellent location but crazy expensive at €290 per night and a mind blowing €50 for room service of tea and croissants in bed! The prices
Location Graffiti and beer bottle drinkers outside nightly
Staff where very friendly and cheerful, the court yard was beautiful and the location fantastic.
Location Comfort ok, beds a bit too firm. Reception staff were cordial and helpful. Bar staff were going to overcharge for beverage until I pointed out the correct price in menu. Don't know if intentional or not, but you would think they know the correct pricing as advertised in their menu. Our room was on third level on the side where the hotel entrance is located. This area can be noisy at night, especially on weekends when people are walking on the street and street musicians (which hung out a few doors down from the hotel) are playing. The rooftop terrace is nice but the views are limited and there were many yellow jackets/hornets around the evening appetizers at the bar.
Beautiful hotel in perfect location, many fine amenities. A contemporary haven in old Rome.
Very good location Its a little pricey
Loved the courtyard which was peaceful in middle of big city. Hotel was quiet - unusual for Rome. Great location, near stacks of excellent restaurants - Pierluigi was the best ! Relative to other cities, Rome, and this hotel over are way priced.
Great location, beautiful hotel, rooms are very large and comfortable; staff is friendly - we loved this hotel !!!!
Overall very good exprience. However we did feal that some of the staff could improve their attitude towards customers Customer Service.
We had a 5th floor room with an outlook over surrounding streets and river. We were able to check in a little early and checkout a little late with no problems. Staff were helpful and efficient.
the hotel staff was very pleasant and helpful
Great location, nice big bathrooms, spacious rooms in general. Nice comfortable accommodation, walking distance to everything (including nightlife and many major attractions). Bellhops were very nice, but some of the desk staff was slightly unfriendly and unhelpful. Restaurant staff asked us to leave table (in beautiful garden) after finishing coffee to make room for other guests but there were many other tables. Guest service not the hotel's strongest area in my brief experience.
Excellent location and friendly--helpful staff. Hotel was everything we were looking for on vacation and even better.
Excellent location and great staff, right on the piazza across from the Pantheon. Room size was good and bathroom was as well. Staff was very attentive. View was awesome. Bed was very firm. Breakfast was poor.
the good approach of the staff our room was too much nosy
Excellent location in historic square. Very comfortable rooms with fabulous views of the Pantheon.
The situation across from the Pantheon was the reason for our choice of Hotel Sole al Pantheon. The Piazza della Rotonda is a beautiful view from the second floor where we stayed. Too few tables in the otherwise beautiful breakfast room.
got upgraded - room very nice beds very hard but after a day of sighseeing i could have slept on the floor and not noticed.
The location. The hotel in next to the best square in Rome. There are many different musicians that frequent the area and you can meet people from all over world. The party goes on into the early morning. No
When we eventually got the room we had requested and paid for in advance we were quite pleased with it. Breakfast was extremly poor, breakfasting room was tiny and the hotel had no recognisable lounge area.On our first night our reserved and paid suite was given to another party. The rooms to the front are noisey with frequent and numerous musicians during the day.Bottles are collected noisily from all the cafes in the square at 0800.A truck washes the streets at 0200 am. If you have an internal room and it rains then you are kept awake all night by the sound of rain falling on the canvas of the external breakfasting room. The internal cooridoors are hot. Some front desk staff barely have the courtesy to greet you as a guest.
The Staff were very accomodating, spoke excellent English and were very very pleasant!!. It was what it says on the box - a 4* hotel - not a 3* posing as a 4*!!! The air conditioning units for the whole hotel were right on top of our room, and caused the walls and doors to vibrate! The hotel stafff were really good about this and agreed to turn it off between 23:00 and 08:00 in the morning so as not to disturb our sleep! I'm sure we never would have had another hotel offer to do this! Great Breakfast (although I would suggest not watering down the orange juice). Fantastic location - central to everything! All in all a well run hotel, and a very pleasurable stay! No - it was just right!
This hotel is well situated on the P. Rotonda, in front of the ancient Pantheon in center of Rome. It is an old hotel and has annexes nearby with apartments. Our stay at the annex apartment was good, but the level of comfort was not that as in the actual hotel... and the furnishings are dated and stale. Our apartment was three star at the very best. The apartment annexes are old and stale and need a fresh up on furnishings... they are not at the same standard as the four star hotel itself, and I have stayed far nicer three star hotels in Rome.
location, view noise due to loaction
The hotel is quietly situated in a picturesque, lively and interesting part of the city away from the more popular tourist areas but nevertheless within easy reach of most of the principal sights. The staff were unfailingly friendly and helpful, and the housekeeping exceptional. Although the restaurant was not yet open, we found plenty of good ones close by.
Fantastic atmosfare, prima location and exelent staff
This new hotel is in a delightful area and is an oasis of calm and gentility. It has been lovingly and tastefully restored. There are many good restaurants nearby. The room was perfect - elegant, comfortable, with every need catered for and was kept immaculately clean. The staff both in reception and the breakfast room were very helpful, friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended. An integral restaurant would be a welcome addition and we understand this is in the planning. Seating in the secluded courtyard garden would be an advantage.
Beatifuly monestry conversion building, very well refurbished and decorated. All hotel staff were extremely helpful. Many good restaurants around the area. It was off-peak season and value for money was even better! We had really nice & quiet stay.
The hotel was fantastic, in an excellent location. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast was lovely and the room was lovely. Would definately stay again and would have no reservation at all in recommending it to anyone.
The staff was very pleasant and very helpful. The ambience of the hotel was very relaxing, historical and high quality. The cost of drinks was rather high and it would have been relaxing to have a larger bar area. If the weather permitted, the rooftop would have been very delightful. The location was fabulous as we love to walk and uncover the area and supurb restaurants. Small area for coffee and drinks. Banging shutters at night.
building of hotel, quiet kind atmosphere , style of decoration, breakfast, sigghtseeing from the roof sightseeing from windows at the reparing building
Great location, 20 minute walk from all the must see sights. Hotel itself was top notch. Room overlooking the garden was stunning, and service was exemplary. Free parking, delicious breakfast, and courteous staff. Will definitely be back.
It is a beautiful hotel located in the wonderful area of Trastevere. The staff were excellent and very helpful.
Everything! I keep telling everyone what an exceptionally wonderful hotel this is. I've been to wonderful hotels in the past but I've never enjoyed any of them as much as I enjoyed Donna Camilla Savelli. The hotel crew members were so friendly courteous and kind. Location is great, not too crowdy but still close enough to all the attractions. I will definitely come again. Nothing!
The building is beautifully restored and historic. Breakfast was very good. As I have found with most European hotels, there are no tea/coffee making facilities and no guests laundry facilities.
Great having bikes available.
romantic atmosphere poor noise insulation between rooms
The setting was peaceful and quiet and very welcome after a long haul flight from Sydney. The staff were also very accommodating and helpful.
I really enjoyed the complimentary evening buffet. The courtyard with the orange trees was very pleasant to sit and relax during breakfast. We felt the room was very comfortable and clean, with good reception for internet access. The location was convenient, however the graffitti on the walls on the way to the hotel gave it a very poor first impression. Once into the hotel grounds the hotel was lovely.
The staff were very helpful and friendly, the location is very romantic and close to some excellent restaurants. Some major attractions are within walking distance. Our room was on the small side but very clean.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, more so than you usual in a large city. The hotel was small and quiet but very handy for restaurants and for the sights. The breakfast was much better than we had expected too. Lovely 'nibbles' buffet included with evening drinks
Quiet but right in the middle of Travestere
Spent one night here at it was exceptionally clean, staff was friendly to show us a map and show us where to visit. Perfect location, 2-3 minutes of walking to the duomo and great restaurants. I would stay here again and recommend to anyone traveling to Florence.
It stole our heart. A very romantic hotel in an artesan area of Rome. Be prepared for no kettle / hot drink facilities in the room. However, this was compensated by free evening nibbles served from 5pm.
The hotel is based around courtyards filled with orange trees - lovely to sit here with a drink from the bar. In the early evening, they supply a free buffet of little nibbles to fortify you for the task of wandering out to pick your dinner from one of the hundreds of restaurants in the surrounding streets. Generally the staff were lovely - helpful and welcoming but not intrusive.
it was at a excellent location and the hotel was just like a hidden gem.
Location, friendly staff
The location was amazing - and the staff was wonderful There was a small leak in the bathroom when you used the tub. But it was minor.
location location location
Location, location. location. Staff very friendly and helpful
Great location and an excellent value
Location Our room was a little small for sleeping 4
great location, newly remodeled, nicely done, nice size rooms for Europe. Nice breakfast. Having AC was great. free wireless internet a little difficult to find on the side street, call ahead or look for the street on a mapquest first.
perfect location, friendly staff
Convenient location, freindliness of staff, characheter of hotel two single beds combined as double, i know it is common, but not nice when you are a couple
The location is this hotel's best asset. Although somewhat difficult to find at first (for taxi too). Wifi access was good. Noise in hallways from other guests (can hear everything in lobby & hallways), thin walls too, giving up your room key everytime you leave is obnoxious, breakfast buffet is just ok. Although the bathroom was clean & bed made each day, the tile floor in the hotel room was never cleaned & left the bottom of our feet dirty each day.
Staff for the most part were really great. size of the room, location of the room. Asked for double beds - got a king bed. Hard to find hotel. Shower was extremely small, hair dryer was awful.
hotel staff, hotel location, hotel breakfastand hotel beauty and comfort.I highly recommend this hotel. we just loved every minute in this hotel. no complaints
The wonderful front corner room overlooking the Pantheon and the central location in "Old Rome". Staff very helpfull-very nice. Some night noise from the square if you leave the windows open on the front rooms but with windows closed it is not a problem.
Location and the good buffet breakfast Unfrortunately the rooftop bar was closed during my stay from Oct 31 to Nov 4.
Staff was polite and helpfull, Rooms were cleaned ewice a day, Hotel bar on top off terrace was special. and location couldnt have been better
Excellent location in the old part of Rome - lots of sites within walking distance. Elegant interior decoration and surrounded by all kinds of restaurants - although not for those who want a quiet early night. Staff extremely kind and thoughtful - gave my daughter a gift on her birthday. Breakfast not really up to the same standard as the rest of the hotel.
Locaton, excellent staff. Room was incredibly small for two people. Other traveling companions, not using Bookin.com had bigger rooms
Good location & facilities with very friendly staff. When we booked we asked for a room overlooking the Pantheon and they delivered. Poor quality coffee and fruit juices at breakfast.
Excellent location. High quality hotel Bed a little too firm
The location cannot be beat! You are on the same square as the Pantheon. We walked right out the door and Rome met us each morning! It was perfect.
The hotel is in a great location to visit all of the sights in Rome (and most within walking distance). The staff could not be more courteous, friendly or helpful. The rooftop bar is a perfect place for early evening drinks as the sun sets over the piazza below. Overall, a great place to stay!
The hotel is in an excellent position just by Piazza Navona. The hotel is a boutique hotel with interesting rooms. My room was very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is served in the room which is great!
The location and the staff were amazing. It is so central to so many sites in Rome and just a wonderful place to be at night for bar hopping and eating. The staff was always cheerful and helpful in all regards...even mapping bus routes for us! The room didn't look like the photos (first time this has happened to me on Bookings and it was quite dark (the only window was half hidden behind a wall). Some rugs might have warmed up the room's ambiance (and cut down on overhead noise). And the shower stall was so small that I'd be loathe to recommend this to most Americans.
The location! Our tv wasn't working
Great location, well renovated building with stunning decore in the spiral stairwell. Staff were very helpful, whenever requested. No elevator. Thin walls (we had noisy neighbours that stayed up all night).
The location is really good. Everything was within easy reach. Staff was also most helpful. The room while small, was clean and comfortable. Nil
Excellent location , efficient friendly staff , tasteful decor , right in the heart of the city easy to walk to all main attractions , once inside hotel peaceful , comfortable and rooms are beautiful with all needs catered for.
great location, very friendly and helpful stuff, nice room. in our room was no view at all,but it was still beautiful place
Location excellent Very basic breakfast. Room very small. Shower cubicle tiny.
Hotel was beautiful! The staff great and breakfast brought to your room everymorning was a nice touch. Also the location in the Historic center it was close to everything!
In Europe, for the price, location, layout, service...Teatro Pace was a spectacular hotel! The staircase is a bit much to navigate if you're not in great shape but it is part of whats so charming about the place.
