The rental location was extremely hard to find. The car was not available at our reservation time, so we waited 3 hours to pick it up. We were assured that the car had wi-fi, but it did not. The GPS system was mediocre and in French. Turning the car in was extremely difficult with no staff person at the garage. In summary, the worst car rental experience I have ever experienced!!!

Had to wait 20 min for a Bidget shuttle while 7 (yes seven) shuttles for Alamo, Enterprise and almost every other rental car passed by. When we got to the rental car building the line to rent wrapped clear around the building. Serious 75 yard long line. It was unbelievable, the longest I’ve ever seen for a rental co. And it moved at a snails pace. Hours. Absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable

Everything good except for the 1 1/2 hour wait for picking up the car it was ridiculous it was like 3:00 am also dropping off was annoying hassle you need more employees if your going to have over 40 people waiting on line with only 1 employee

Cons:

Not a fan of NISSAN cars. Dash isn't intuitive and not the best car to drive. Found trash under the seat from a previous driver.

Cons:

The agent offered a upgrade for a fee for a jeep cherokee. I had an issue with my card and had to call them. I walked from the transaction to call the card provider and was assigned a Nissan Rogue. I have hated every Nissan I have driven and would never pay extra to drive one. It was past 9 pm and I still had to go home and load up before leaving on my 800 mile drive to be with my mom who's husband died the next morning. My back still hurts from the low quality nissan seating .

Cons:

We rented for a month an SUV in order to go from CA to FL. The internal electrical stopped working on our way there. When I called to alert the problem in California, they told me to go to the nearest airport enterprise location in FL. Here, their first answer was that I should take it to a Firestone store to get it checked. I called the nearest Firestone and they told me they couldn't touch the car being so new and low milage; it was the dealership's problem. I called enterprise again and they told me to take it to the nearest dealership. At the dealership they told me that they can't service a car brought in by the customer. With enough frustration built, and the original San Jose office shinning by their absence, I demanded a simple swap of the car but they made me call 4 different enterprise locations in FL looking for an SUV replacement. An assistant manager in Daytona finally managed to put us in a minivan, but all of this took 20 calls and 3 days of painful dodging by their representatives. I will definitely be dodging their service in their future. Not recommend.

1. Someone picking up the phone (called two open locations, no answer, one said to leave a message). 2. Being given instructions for one-way drop off at airport at time of rental or at least posted in rental car drop off lot. I had to call Enterprise to find out what to do once I parked the car as there was no attendant (Medford, OR). 3. Receiving revised receipt. There "special" car was a huge, double-cab pick up truck. Basically, no trunk and this was an airport pick up. So, I upgraded to a Toyota Corolla. When I dropped off the car, I was told a receipt would automatically be emailed to me but I never received and had to contact customer report for a copy.

Pros:

Drop off was a nightmare. I dropped it off at another location as the original reservation was, but I was not registered in the system when I picked up the car. The manager and staff did not know what to do and couldn’t assist me. They could not get a hold of the original airport I rented from to finish my registration so they could close my account. I had to call enterprise customer service personally standing in the enterprise office to speak to customer service to help. I spent nearly 2 hours there just trying to drop off my car. Staff and manager were not helpful and did not apologize once.

Cons:

The car was great and clean, no issues there. See above for why I am rating a poorly.

Car rental was fine. Don't use affirm to pay as sixt requires you to use the card you paid with for a deposit upon pickup and was not able to process it so I had to use my own debit card and now I'm trying to dispute the charge with affirm since I paid out of my own pocket

Pros:

Staff was inept and inexperienced to handle a simple situation. We liked the car model.

Cons:

The car was not cleaned at all. Surprising they rented out without cleaning and sanitizing in COVID times. After bringing this issue to the agent, he said he could not help it. I was mad but had no option but to take it. Myself and two of my family members cleaned the car inside out for two hours before starting the trip. Horrible experience. Won’t rent from Avis again.

When we arrived at Oakland Airport to drop off the car, one of the workers saw that we were traveling with a toddler, a car seat and a lot of luggage. To save us the trouble of having to unload everything, carry it and wait for the shuttle, he drove us directly to the airport terminal in our rental car, and then returned the car for us. While this is not normally part of his job, he went above and beyond to help us. This made our day and was a great start to our Christmas holiday.

The Hertz company has a very poor standards (don’t want to use worst words). They only kept my reservation for two hours, unfortunately they didn’t specify it at the time of booking, and don’t respect flight delays. Also “extremely” poor service.

Pros:

The pick up location (And drop off) were not at the airport, but at a remote location that required us to Uber to that location from the airport for an additional expense.

Cons:

Hertz itself was fine, but Kayak should have highlighted that the rental location was not on the airport property.

Final billing. In the final bill email, I was charged the weekly rate for the daily rate and had to rush back to the rental car desk to get adjusted after I had gotten to my airport gate. I could not get a person on the phone to help me and had to go back in person. It was stressful.

I was able to choose the exact car I wanted and was even able to reserve a cooler and boogie board to use for the week. The car was in like-new condition. The free shuttle was convenient, fast and the drivers were nice. The location was a little bit further from the airport, but it wasn't a problem.

It was the first time we rented via Turo, so I don't have a good base reference to compare in general, and can only compare to car rental experiences with commercial fleets (like Budget or Enterprise). In general it was okay -- we made it to where we were going and back, with no major issues. It's doable. However, there were some "surprises" where things didn't quite got as we expected: * We made rental reservation with expectation that we're picking up at the airport. When we got there, it turned out that the car is not at the airport, and the address given to us turned out to be what seemed to be Portland's airport Fire Rescue Tower (where, obviously, we can't even walk to or be at). We called the owner, and turned out that the car is at some house that's "not far" from the airport, and gave us new address. So additional expense of taking Uber/Lyft to get to the car (and apparently that address exists in two neighboring towns, and somehow Uber/Lyft took us first to the wrong one, so we had to take another ride, but that's not a Turo issue, just more expense as a consequence of car not being at the airport as promised). * When we got there, we called the owner to get the keys: "-- Keys are under front door's floormat. -- Nope, they're not there. -- Then try mailbox? -- Yes, they're there." The owner wasn't there, which is okay to do this all remote, but would be nicer if owner was in general "on top of things" such as where the car is and where it is expected to be picked up, where exactly are its keys, etc. * Then owner requested that prior to return we take the car to be washed and cleaned inside and out. We neither planned on looking for car detailing places in Portland, nor for time that it would take away from sightseeing, nor for extra substantial expense it would be. We pushed back and the owner backed off saying that he'll let it go due to confusion with pickup location (and apparently he didn't send some email that he was supposed to send, or something along those lines). * And while the car wasn't too dirty, it wasn't clean to begin with (which made detailing request that more amusingly odd). Crumbs on floor and seats and luggage compartment. Worst part was that windshield was dirty on the inside that was minor unpleasant at daytime, but as driving progressed into night time, it was quite significant as it was blurring lights and affected visibility substantially. * We also added additional driver thru Turo and let the owner know. The owner requested that we send him picture of drivers license directly to him. We refused (as it didn't seem right, given that Turo is the one that manages that aspect) and he backed off. * Of course, additional expense of Uber/Lyft after return drop-off as we weren't dropping it off at the airport as originally planned. So all in all we probably spent additional $50-60 in Uber/Lyft for getting to and from cars location instead of it being in the airport, and lost about 3+ hours for dealing with additional unplanned travel. The rest was okay. Car drove fine and didn't give any problems.
