Cons:

EVERYTHING! Rented car through Kayak/Priceline, but the location rented from in Savoy had ZERO cars available - at all - and could NOT honor reservation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The vehicle was fine. There was a lot of external damage (paint chips, dents and scratches) that we documented before leaving. When I asked if they needed to see the photos at car return our service person simply replied no, so I am hopeful I won't have to address this again. Overall the pick up and return process was straight forward. Both staff members that helped us were mediocre ( didn't provide much information, seemed bored with their day) and could have added to a more professional experience. They did the job adequately, just nothing to write home about.

Staff was friendly, but did not have car I reserved. They offered to rent a larger car for more money. I ended up using Lyft instead of renting a car.

I had a terrible experience with Avis at Willard Airport in Champaign-Urbana. Despite booking months in advance and confirming twice, I was left without a rental car. The manager, DeAndre McPherson, assured me the keys would be set aside for my late arrival, but on the day of my flight, I was told this wasn't possible, and he was on vacation. I tried to resolve it with another rep, even becoming a preferred member, but nothing worked. Avis failed to inform me of options ahead of time, causing major travel disruptions. Terrible communication and management.

Pros:

Our confirmed reservations were not honored. After driving for over an hour to location to pickup car we were told there were not available. Confirmed reservation were worthless.

Cons:

If we had gotten a car per our reservations.

Everything was fine. It was quite inconvenient that both spouses had to be present for both to be able to drive the vehicle; I’m sure there’s a good reason, but not everywhere has this requirement, so we’ll probably go back to rental services at CMI airport next time. Had to rearrange our whole afternoon last minute and bring our too-young-to-mask-or-vaccinate child in to the building. Drop off would have been better with a prior heads up or better signage regarding leaving the mileage report in the car; I put the keys in the box, then read that I was supposed to put the paperwork in the (locked) car. The car worked out great. Thanks.

Pros:

They allowed me to book and didn’t have any cars available. They called me 20 minutes before I was supposed to go pick it up asking me to wait until the next day to MAYBE get a car . I just flown into Champaign and I was left stranded

Cons:

The organization and the staff . It was a terrible experience never again
