Complimentary wine ; bed comfortable; quick check in: room was nice; location; Temperature in the fitness was far too warm: could not adjust. Called staff but no response
The motif is a great place to stay. I went to Seattle with my boyfriend to celebrate his birthday. It was the perfect location as it is in the middle of downtown Seattle. We didn't have to go far to get a bite to eat or to have a few drinks. It's a nice hotel, the rooms were clean and it was very spacious. Coffee and water in room. They upgraded our room since it was a special occasion. Overall I had a great time and I will stay there again when I go back to Seattle.
Very nice room when we finally got what we requested. Really helpful staff. Loved the daily wine tasting. On site parking was awesome. Perfect location. Didn't have the bay view room we requested (overbooked-not ok) so we were stuck on a lower floor the first night which was incredibly noisy. Also it was Gay Pride weekend so it was crazy there. The next two nights we had a top floor bay view room which was awesome except there was this random really loud noise (elevator grinding or something ) that woke us up several times each night.
Great hotel overall. There is a bar area on the terrace thats a great place to hangout and have a few drinks. Friendly staff, comfortable beds, even helped me out with my toothpaste i forgot at home. Close to pikes market and everything down town. Nothing, it was a great experiece.
Employees are great and helpful! Great location. More of a business hotel. I booked a partial view of the bay room and it was just that. Expected a bit more than what I was hoping for and was let down. Unexpected charges.
Location is great....rooms are small but comfortable. Bathrooms are extra small. Staff is friendly and amenities are nice Amazing to find free wifi at a hotel these days
This hotel deserves a high rating! the location is great so close to everything, approximately a 8 minute walk from several places. If you are taking Uber there is an easy drop off/ pick up location right in front of the hotel. Very Modern and a great view! Staff was so sweet and they all wanted us to get the most out of Seattle. The staff will change your towels only if you make it obvious, they will restock and clean but towels were the only problem. Also the bathroom was nice but a bit small.
Great hotel - reasonable for downtown hotel Everything was great
The location was excellent in the center of everything. Two blocks to convention center. Five to Pike's Place Market. Close to numerous excellent restaurants. Walking distance to Space Needle and Frontier Square. Rooms a little tight for more than a couple nights.
-location -black hair in the sink -red hair in the folded towels -mold on the ceiling -lack of communication about when our room was ready
Great location, nice modern design inside, reasonably comfy beds. We arrived around midnight and needed another set of towels so we could all shower. They said sure, they'd send them up. An hour later, no towels. Called down, asked them to leave them in the hall so we'd at least have enough towels in the morning. They said sure, we'll do that, sorry for the delay. Morning comes - no towels.
Great location, friendly, helpful staff. Only stayed one night so we didn't get to sample all the amenities. Bed wasn't as comfortable as we are used to.
The staff made sure we were accommodated during our stay, they even welcomed our small dog with no added cost. We were having issues with our home and needed to stay in a hotel local. I'm so glad the Sheraton is where we picked.
how helpful the women at the desk who were juggling multiple task and were able to find us a car in the 9th hour.
reservation process easy and hotel wonderful.
The bed/bedding was amazing Having to pay for room internet
Would've appreciated prior information on airport shuttle, but got nothing. Concierge Couldn't locate my reservation. Got a handicap room, okay, but right next to the elevator, so very noisy. Paper thin walls, could hear the people in the next room talking as if they were in my room. At least put insulation into the shared door! Hair in the shower when we arrived. Toilet was running non-stop. Maintenance man came to fix it twice, both times came unannounced. Closet sucked, hangers weren't even high enough to hang a dress shirt without hitting the floor.
Nice, well-kept up. Good location.
The location was perfectly located to walk to the Seattle Aquarium and the other downtown shopping, food, and tourist attractions. The staff was fantastic as well! Our hotel room didn't have a great view and the beds were not the most comfortable. The guide on the tv didn't work so we struggled to find child appropriate programs while we were in the room.
Vey clean rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Great location in the city. Love the view. And very affordable Nothing
The clean place and very good view ! No microwave . And I can not get warm water when I get tummy ache .And we hope next time we can see it there:) and no free wifi. The lobby wifi is good but upstairs have no wifi connection . .........do we really need to write that much and hope right now the word number is good enough to send
Cleanliness, great linens and mattresses, accommodating staff All good Was under the impression I could self-park my car.... Had to pay the exhorbitantly priced valet parking for my stay. $43.00 a day. Really?!
Good location Conceiger was unhelpful. She had zero interest in assisting.
Although we like the convenience of the location, the parking ramp spaces are too narrow. Someone hit our vehice during our weekend stay. We filed a report, but no one has followed up with us. Very disappointing.
The view is nice and close to everything downtown. Not a bad walk to the stadium - we were there for an event. Easy to catch a taxi. At busy check-in hours they did not have all the desk staff available and there were long lines for check-in. Took about 30 min to get through the line. There were many young drunk 20 year olds in the hotel that night. They stood outside our room talking at 1am until I asked them to please go in there room. They then spent the last couple hours being loud and running down the hall banging on everyone's doors until I finally called security at around 3:30am. This is not what I would expect from a high end hotel with the amount of money they charge. At check-in we wanted to self-park (not worth the $25 more per night for valet. The gate for self-park was closed with a sign to go to the main entrance location (this causes a 6 block detour with the one-way streets). When we returned the valets told us that self-parking was not being allowed due to an event (which we were there for). So they were only allowing valet (to rip us off another $25/night). We were then told we had to go another 6 blocks detour to the only self-parking option if we did not want to allow them to park our car. I would have been fine with the location we parked at if it had been clear. The process made it clear that they made it super difficult so that everyone would just do the valet parking. Once you get in line to check in you have no way out due to the valet only. The hotel also charges very high prices for wi-fi per day. I would expect for a hotel that hosts events and such would allow free internet access or at least a decent price. For a slower speed for download up/down than I get at home they wanted $29/day. I would not stay here again and would say that it is not equal to a 4 star hotel. It felt as if they were not staffed appropriately and felt ripped off at every turn.
Everything except the exorbitant amount of cost for items in the room that were set to a weight sensor. I bumped the fridge and was worried that they charged my card that night. Nothing went through, thankfully. Other than that, everything was excellent!
Location is central, walking distance to everything. Very clean. Super comfy bed. Everything is extra. Need wifi? Pay extra. Parking? Extremely expensive. Staff are confused, rude, and seem that they don't want to be there. Parking was a huge ordeal as reception didn't know anything about it. Had to go back and forth to reception to get key activated. Check in and accessing the parking took over an hour. Calling reception feels like you have disrupted them from something important and have no time for you. Rooms are beautiful but any notice on walkway echoes inside, at all times of the day/night. Very noisy.
The View, large windows. Comfortable Beds. Setting and Decor of the Rooms. Location.
Pros: Located within short walking distance of shopping, transit station, monorail, restaurants, and Pike Place Market. Staff friendly and helpful. Soft, comfortable beds and pillows, like sleeping on a cloud. Beautiful views of the city. Cons: A single staff member at the concierge desk treated us as if we were bothering her and wasting her time after we had patiently been waiting for 5 minutes or so for her to finish with a phone call before helping us, as if us waiting quietly near the desk to ask a question was somehow an annoyance to her.
really liked the shower
I liked the views and the Relish restaurant food. There was no hot tub. I did not like that I was asked when I planned to check out.
The staff was very helpful and accommodating to a large party. It would be nice if they had a hotel shuttle.
Everything was fine All other hotels in this class usually provide free internet. Even if one has to pay I don't understand the exorbitant cost. Shameful gouging!
central city location this is not a luxury hotel. The pool is barely adequate.
We booked this for our honey moon. Nightmare Small room. They then upgraded us yo a suite and chafed us a fortune. No sorry, no offer to make our stay better. So upset will never stay again. DR. Brian Bledsoe
A little outdated
beautiful indoor lap pool encouraged exercising; large comfortable rooms with excellent mini-bar and tea pot (so often just a coffee maker and I drink tea); great location - easy walk to tourist sites and waterfront
Great location, short walk to Pike Place Market. Wifi is not included in the room price.
Close to business district, restaurants, and entertainment... Given the room rate, free bottled water should be supplied...not $8 per bottle.
The Fairmont was the perfect romantic weekend getaway. Walkable to coffee, wine bar, excellent resturants, several theaters and Pike Place for breakfast at Lowell's. Service was top-notch. Staff was personable and attentive. I didn't like having to leave.
Great staff. Great location. what could be better? It's the best
I am a member of the presidents club and the morning of received an email to allow me to check-in prior to leaving my home town. I clicked the link, put an arrival time and how is was arriving etc.. a few hours before my expected arrival I received an email informing me that my room was ready and to pick up my key from the doorman. Also in the email were driving directions from my location. I arrived doorman had my welcome packet and I went right to my room.........slick! cant think of a thing that I didnt like
Hotel and service were both great. Would stay here again. We had an unexpected guest stay the night with us and apparently due to fire codes we could not get a rollout bed delivered. We were in a suite so I don't know what type of room it would have fit in.
The steam room, spa, cafe, bar, and 24 hour room service with quality food were all great perks. Jaime No complaints.
It was my girlfriend and I's first trip to Seattle. The hotel was within walking distance of anywhere you'd wanna go. The staff was super helpful and we were able to squeeze everything we wanted to do within the weekend we were in the city. Whether it's shopping, a concert at the paramount, the space needle, the farmers market, or just wanting to explore the city, the Hyatt gives you the opportunity to do all these things without needing any transportation other than you two legs.
Hotel is well appointed and the staff is excellent!
Good location in downtown that is walking distance to most downtown sites. Lobby restaurant had great breakfast. Thin walls allowed voices and tv to be heard from neighbors.
My whole family of 6 loved this hotel the staff and location
Lap pool & spa were outstanding. Room service coffee was inconsistent.
I liked the staff, the ambiance, and the room's modern amenities. The weird bathroom door.
Good location to walking downtown and easy to get to from the airport using the light rail. The hotel wanted to charge for wifi, that should be free these days.
Didn't you read the headline⬆
I found the bed and pillows to be most comfortable. The bathroom and room itself were quite spacious. I found the hotel staff to be friendly and accommodating to my needs. N/A
Great location and super friendly staff. We were glad to be here without our kids. My only gripe is that the tv channels are very limited and you have to pay a lot extra for every tiny thing, even internet. In this day and age I think everyone should be giving out free internet!
I forgot an item in the room, and calling to hotel 3 times trying inquire how it can be picked up. One time redirerected to vmail with no follow up; second time it was suggested to call at different time; third time waited for fairly long time and gave up.
I only liked how close t was to my destination Options were given to the type of room I would like. I chose the quiet room option. Promptly at 7am in the morning all 4 days I stayed there they started construction from what sounded like in the adjacent room. When I brought this up to the front desk they acted confused and acting like I was crazy and tried figuring out an explaination for the sounds other than construction. Said they"would send someone up to investigate" I was so peeved about this I went down stairs to complain directly and they informed me that they are indeed doing construction and they're supposed to start at 9am. While I was down there I complained that when I took a shower regardless of the length of time I was in the shower. The water flowed freely into the bathroom and filled it up with water and I had to use 3 out of the 4 towels given to me to soak up the water. The front desk person said they wouldn't immediately send up more towels. And never did follow through with their "solution" for the problem. Lastly. The tv had a high pitch whistle whenever it was on. This increased and decreased with the volume.
The bed was uncomfortable. The bathroom was very small
Terrific location, nice & clean.
I loved the room service options, and that you can order it 24/4. I also loved the in-house breakfast ordering. The food was delish, the room was clean, great pillows, view, and friendly staff. You might freak out over their expensive parking ($39 a night) But if you're staying for a short visit like we did, it is actually great. They let you keep your car there till 3pm, even though check-out is 11. So we were able to walk to Pike Place, aquarium, and do all that fun stuff without having to move our car and pay for more parking.
The elevators are fast and the location is perfect for Seattle sightseeing- Space Needle and Pike Place Market are blocks away. We loved the close proximity to the best restaurants in Seattle: Lola, Dahlia Lounge, Dahlia Bakery, Etta's, Palace Kitchen, Serious Pie. The room was comfortable and large. We liked the split bathroom with bathtub/toilet on one side and sink/mirror on the other. The heater was inconsistent- when it was blowing, the room was too warm, but when it turned off the room was a bit chilly.
Great location for good price. Very nice, up to date, clean, and top notch. Lovely bar! Nice restaurant . Ask to borrow an umbrella at front desk! Don't need to bring your own...
I was charged $16 additional parking for coming to the hotel 2 hours before check in. On top of the $30+ I was already paying for parking there.
Great service; good meal value; good location, nice view. Room keys didnt work sometimes
Good, clean rooms. Good happy hour in the bar. Helpful staff. Gym is below basic.
No water in vending machines, $6 for bottle water in room
The location was perfect. You're walking distance from the space needle and pike place market. The room was clean and the bed was always made when we got back at the end of the day after going around the city. You're only a few blocks from the Westlake light rail station which takes you throughout the city and as far as the airport which is convenient.
Love being so close to everything. Went to a concert at the key arena and the taxi rides were really cheap since we were so close. Within walking distance to pikes place and the water. We wanted a bigger balcony. I proposed on the night we stayed there expecting a view of the Space Needle and room on the balcony to do it. The balcony was barely big enough to stand on.
Location was superb and easy to reach by Light Rail from airport. Hotel is charming and staff friendly and accommodating. It was the hotel of choice as we knew its reputation. Room was small but the price was very good for DT Seattke in summer. No view but we only needed a place to sleep for a few nights.
There was an old musty smell
historic hotel; restored- excellent job on restoration- well maintained- very friendly & personable staff; in the heart of downtown location n/a
Beautiful well kept property in great city location. Wonderfully friendly and helpful staff. Plus "Oliver's" bar makes the best Martini's in Seattle. Nothing
The vintage quality throughout
Awesome hotel close to Pikes Place Market. Easy walk to restaurants. Macy's (hotel discount) right across the street. Friendly, helpful staff. Will stay again.
friendly staff too expensive
everything first class
Everything. From the moment we arrived, the Valet was superb, the doormen were excellent, the front desk staff were fantastic, and the room was great. Every touch point with the staff was top notch. No
No tea coffee making items in room expensive to buy a cup of coffee
The room was very nice and modern, bed was comfy, and the workout facilities were excellent! Nice to have a Starbucks, deli, and sushi restaurant attached to the hotel. Didn't like that I had to pay for access to the internet. $10/day for low speed, $15/day for high speed. A nice place like this shouldn't nickle-and-dime its customers, especially when even the cheapest Motel 6 usually offers free wi-fi these days.
View and room was very nice. Great service. Bedding is not very comfortable. Feels like all you have is a sheet on your bed. Super short bath tub.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. I reserved a king suite and the bathroom and tub were amazing. I also liked the push button shades that allow you to completely darken the room. For breakfast one morning I ordered room service and it arrived on time and was delicious. The pillows were comfortable. Starbucks is located right downstairs! Two of my "clean" towels had a lot of hairs that were not mine. In fact one had a big hair ball folded in it. That was kinda nasty to find after taking a bath. The bed was not very comfortable and made my back hurt. I thought since it was firm that my back would love it but I was wrong.
Clean, comfortable, and spacious room. Courteous enough staff. Impressive building, with great location. Despite the high price of the room, they nickel and dime you for everything. Parking is not included in the price, even though the Hyatt owns the adajecent parking garage - hotel guests pay the same rates, if not more, than the general public who uses the same garage. Not a single movie channel (hbo, etc), so that you will have to buy their on demand movies for $20. Room service is overpriced and mediocre, with small portions.
Nice rooms and common areas Hotel is very large and because of on going conference elevators very slow
Want a spa on location
Should provide free drinking water
Fantastic and clean rooms, and amazing staff. Would love to visit again.
Nice quiet room, large very nice bathroom, helpful friendly staff, overall an excellent 4 star hotel. Winter rates are very reasonable, summer not so much...Good food and shopping with in walking distance, all except for breakfast, never did find a "good" breakfast despite paying $45 for two. I'll be back. Parking. Valet $45 / Self $30. Saturday nights self parking is full.
Location is good. Staff is extremely disrespectful and not willing to help.
great bed and view from the 29th floor. staff was very accommodating. up the hill the first time was a little tough but it really wasn't that bad. the hotel lobby smells like the restaurant which can get a little overwhelming when first walking in.
The staff was friendly We had dinner at the hotel and were not mentioned any of the specials going on for New Years so that was poor I thought and the hotel and our room smelled like chlorine, which is not something that you want to smell in your room, also when your paying for a room you should not have to pay $32 for parking, when we paid for the room and dinner.
Fabulous views from our room. Very convenient location. Parking valet is inconvenient and expensive.
good beds old room, no hot tub
The location was great, we had a huge room, and the staff was exceptional. We were able to check in early -a blessing- since we had just finished a cruise and had no where to put our bags. We were also able to leave out bags for free after check-out when we has several hours to kill before heading to the airport. I wish there had been a pool, and the restaurant prices were 10% too high for the quality.
Renovations at the restaurant caused slow service for dinner, location a bit further from eateries than thought
Parking attendants were not friendly; made it very uncomfortable to valet park my car. It also became annoying when they were not readily available.
Close to all the life of the city e.g. water, restaurants, shopping, etc.. I had booked for three rooms and when checking in the front desk let me know I had booked for 5 rooms? I showed them my booking and they said I would have to go back to booking.com
Your staff is professional and friend. The location is convenient and the facility is good. I would recommend your hotel to my friends and colleagues. The hotwater system needs to be upgraded.
The room was spacious! Breakfast food options and service were terrible and to make it worse, I had pre-booked it for three mornings... It was one awful meal experience!
Friendly staff and central location. Having to pay for internet!
The rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean. The concierge(s) were very helpful and friendly. The location was pretty good- walking distance to many attractions. I was not informed when I checked in that a fee of $150 would be held off my card for the duration of my stay at the hotel. I checked out yesterday and have not had the money return to my account yet.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Renaissance. We especially appreciated the free room service breakfasts. What a treat! The room was very nice and we were very comfortable. The television could have offered more selections. We wanted to watch the Huskies game and the station that the game was on wasn't available.
Staff always made us feel pampered. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast buffet was good. Well-maintained, very clean, nicely designed and decorated. Convenient location. Construction noise from the skyscraper going up next door. Said skyscraper also blocked view. Unfortunately, neither is within their control, but did cost them a star overall.
Convenient to my meeting and public transit.
The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. You felt welcome from the time you walked in the hotel until you walked out. The location was excellent with easy walking acess to Downtown Seattle. Nothing negative about the hotel during my stay.
excellent service and attention to detail by staff. Lounge and restaurant very inviting areas and R View (restaurant on 28th floor) has a phenomenal view! 5 to 6 blocks easy walk to shopping and restaurants or Pike's Market. Free breakfast or parking on weekend. Breakfast is hot and has a great menu (not continental). Menu at R View is limited, and a little pricey for the small amount of food served. Parking is $30 a day. Some people not in good physical shape might find the walk from the hotel difficult and long.
Clean hotel. Nice weight room. Wait for check in was very long. On a Friday night at 6 PM there was only one receptionist checking in patrons. We waited almost one hour in this line. Expensive parking (~40 per night.)
the comfort of the room.
The location and views of Puget Sound/Seattle are amazing. And the staff was friendly and helpful - the concierge team was especially knowledgable for visitors like us that wanted to truly explore! The lobby seemed outddated (looked like there were about to start renovation though), and the under-building parking seemed antiquated. Next time, we will just use Metro transit and taxis.
Location and how nice the rooms where The hot water was a problem... Barely could get any and allot of times I got burned. I called to have them fix it and nothing changed.
Very pleasant and friendly. Great location! Extremely clean. Perfect for our trip!
Location is central. Walking distance to everything. Room was spacious and my bed was big and comfortable. Front desk staff was helpful and very accomodating. All in all, I enjoyed my stay and would love to stay in Paramount hotel again the next time I visit Seattle. None
Staff, beds and location
The room actually exceeded my expectations, based upon price and photos. The bed was comfortable, the room was just the right temperature, and LOVED that the shower stall was bathtub sized without a bathtub. The toiletries provided were top quality, as well. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and had me checked in and out with light speed. Definitely will come back and am already recommending the Paramount to my coworkers who travel in and out of town. A stocked refrigerator would have been nice, but all I really missed was cold water to drink.
Rooms and facilities were clean and quite luxurious, great location and very friendly staff.
We like that it's so close to the theatre The wet towel in the tub
Staff was very attentive and helpful. I was able to check out and store baggage until later in the day when I got my vehicle out of valet parking. This allowed me to attend a meeting without concern for moving my car. Saturday night was a little noisy on my floor. Too much St Paddy's Day celebration I suppose.
Great location, comfortable bed and nice tv. No gym
The location was right next to the event I was attending. The room was quiet and clean. Housekeeping didn't even knock and just came into my room in the morning a few hours before checkout. I was sleeping at the time but it could have been potentially very embarrassing for us both.
Great location. Comfortable bed. Very friendly and helpful staff
The location was great Too dark old Hotel needs updates not your average W very slow at getting Baggage From storage room that faces the parking garage feels like a dungeon
Very nice hotel. Friendly front desk. Beautiful lobby. Concierge could have known more about local restaurants. His advice was good, but could have been better. The locals gave excellent restaurant advice. Otherwise, it was great.
the atmosphere was very cool and swanky. the bar was a nice little place to hang out at the end of an evening. the cool corner king room was a nice size with a lot of windows. we were first put in a cool corner king room on the 'garage side' of the hotel. it was horrible. we were moved quickly down some floors but on the other side of the building. i wouldn't have recommended this hotel had we been booked on the garage side of the hotel, especially in a cool corner king.
The location is excellent and the information provided by the hotel was very good as well. The gym was also first rate.
The amazing sheets!! The view of the parking lot and super dark hallways.
The location is great and the room is very nice. The front desk check in person mixed up our check-in information and even though our booking was for 2 nights, she insisted that we were only booked for 1 night. She wasn't apologetic at all about the mix up since we used a "discount booking agency" (her words not mine). So be aware of the hotel staff's snobbiness when you book through a "discount agent" (i.e. travel websites).
The service was great. People were really nice and I got a free upgrade. I didn't particularly like the beds at the W. They felt lumpy. I stayed in The Westin the day after and I LOVE their beds! I also didn't really like the dark, club feel and the loud music in the lobby. I just wanted to relax and felt like I couldn't at the W.
It's a nice, clean hotel with quiet rooms in a great downtown location. Their pillows may be the most uncomfortable thing I've tried (and failed) to sleep on.
Boutique vibe, comfortable bed, trendy decor. Room was a little rough around the edges, didn't have the luxury feel I'd expect for $300+/night. No coffee or microwave in room.
Bed was soft Dogs next to us barking all night No gym as advertised Room couldn't get colder than 66 degrees
We had a great time! Very nice hotel, though I think I expected the rooms to be more extravagant, but they are very nice. I almost stole the bed...slept like a rock. Very cool NYE hotel...they held a party downstairs that was all part of the hotel price for the night. We had an awesome time and this will likely become a tradition for us. Staff is extremely professional and polite. Right downtown, equidistant from the stadium/ball park and central part of downtown Seattle, so most things are available to you by foot. For such a nice hotel, the fitness facility was pretty cramped and awful. We've stayed at Hotels that charge much less with much better gyms. Other than that, super nice place!
Location Ridiculously high parking charge, no coffee maker in the room, no onsite jacuzzi, no club room. I would probably choose one of the other Seattle Starwood properties in the future.
Kimpton hotels have yet to disappoint me. It costs more, but is sooooo worth it! They have small details that make you feel welcome and that they are truly glad to have you. Just the price. But it's worth it!
I loved the very friendly and helpful staff. The food in the hotel restaurant was very good, and quite affordable. Also liked the option of opting out of housekeeping, I always feel I need to pick up all of my things to make their job easier. Was great to just let it be, more relaxing! I would definitely stay there again.
I loved the decorations and the comfortable "living room" downstairs. We sat and read while the kids played chess for about an hour. They also have a wine happy hour but we were always out. We received an email the day before we checked in giving us some choices on room location, early check-in, bed size, etc. One of the choices was "spacious room" which we asked for because there was 4 of us. We weren't expecting an upgrade but sometimes some of the rooms have a little more space than others. We literally got the smallest room available. There was this big huge wall right next to the window. The other rooms had two windows and the additional space. We really wouldn't have thought much of it except for the fact that we requested a spacious room when asked. My point is, don't ask me and then give me an even smaller room than normal. The other problem was there were only 3 towels in the bathroom. Again, there were 4 of us…We called twice to request additional towels. Finally, my husband found a staff member in the hall and asked them to get us towels. The next day the cleaning person left us 3 towels again. Called to request towels AGAIN, no towels. Found the closet in the hall unlocked and got some towels out of there. I also don't like the fact there is no coffee maker in the room. I don't want to have to get dressed to go down and get coffee. For the price, I would like to have someone respond to my requests.
From start to finish Ethan and the team at Hotel Monaco were phenomenal. They made my girlfriend and I feel like the most important people to them. Nothing. It was all great.
It was clean and accommodating. The staff was friendly and helpful - we would stay here again.
The place was clean and beautiful... staff was friendly and informative... free wine was the highlight :) food was delicious and well worth the price... it was a really amazing stay and they had lots of extras if you chose to get or do something more I was really looking forward to sleeping in since the check out was noon... but the maid service started its duties at 9 am... so there went my sleeping in... also... my staying in (do not disturb) card got put under the breakfast menu and I had the cleaning crew come in into my room before I could stop them... even though I had the tag of "conserve and decline maid services" hanging on my door
We paid for an upgraded room on a high floor with a city view but our only window faced an office building about 50 feet away across an alley. We could see nothing else.
The staff was great and the hotel was perfect. The only issue was that I purchased the breakfast package for our room. The hotel resturants was being remodeled. So the hotel staff said you will just get it to your room, which I thought was great. Well it wasn't I played phone tag with room service for about an hour and every time I called front line staff they said they will have them call us. We received one call and they hung up on the other end. So we didn't get breakfast, but the hotel did comp valet parking because of it so still worth it.
I enjoyed the friendly service, fast elevators, starbucks coffee in the morning, and the over all cleanliness of the room. I also enjoyed how quiet everything is from the a/c to the bedroom door to the elevator doors in the hallway. Everything was quiet. The mattresses could have been better quality. The linens were nice upgrades but the mattress felt like a cheap budget line mattress. Also, the robes that were offered in the closet were gross to the touch. They should be replaced immediately with new plush robes. I mention that because plush robes are advertised as one of the luxuries of staying in that room.
The rooms were pretty and very spacious. My friend and i went on a weekend girls trip and it was very central to all of downtown. Room was clean and neat. It took us 2 hrs to get our room. I got a text in the morning from Kayak saying the room will be ready for check in at 3pm. We got to the hotel a litle before 4 and they said theyre backed up and it'll be roughly 20min and they'll call us when its ready. My friend and I leave our bags to go grab food at Pikes Market and come back because we had a 5pm rental car. We didnt get a call til 5pm that it was ready. I didnt appreciate that the room wasn't ready by "check in time" because that's 2hrs of our money wasted away in rushing and waiting when i could be in my room already...
Everythin was perfect, decoration, staf, location everything
The staff was extremely helpful, friendly and welcoming! Even though we arrived very early in the day, they were very accommodating by handling our luggage and making some excellent suggestions on nearby things to do and see while we waited to check in. I really, truly cannot say how absolutely impressed we were with the staff, their positive attitude and attentive nature. It was perhaps one of the best hotel stays we've experienced and it was all because of the people who work here!
The size of the room was good and the decor was young and hip. Also the hotel staff were all friendly and helpful. Perfect for travel
