Up to date, clean, all amenities. Super friendly staff.
It was clean, and the location, while not in downtown, is close enough that if we didn't have a 2.5 year old kid, we would have walked everyday.
The rooms are loud (you can hear TV's and doors shutting down long hallways, the bed sheets don't fit (I think they use a queen fitted sheet on a king bed, every single time we ever got into bed the fitted sheet would literally 'pop' off...Location is not as bad as people make it out to be, the rooms are clean, there is no noise insulation (I had to turn the air conditioner on to mask the noise of the TV's we could here), the pool is nice, the beds are not comfy at all (sheets didn't fit, and the beds didn't feel like they had any support), the front desk staff are nice. The noise is a big detractor though, I shouldn't be able to hear a TV or doors shutting on a constant basis all, ALL, night long, very frustrating. Overall, if you stay here, you probably wouldn't hate it, but 3 nights here was rough with...

Funky old character. Jan the owner I terrific. Free wifi in the rooms
It is not a modern business amenity hotel if that is what you seek. No tv, no in room coffee maker or irons. Bathroom is shared and down the hall from the bedroom. It's how it was 100 years ago. Pike's market is also a 20 block walkIt is exactly what is it advertises...a 100 year old property that is looking to stay that way. It's priced well for downtown seattle, and close to rail link to get around by train
Staff is very helpful, great complimentary breakfast. It's a historical building with a lot history behind. Like living in a museum...
The restrooms are one per floor, each room has a sink only. The hotel has an air of an old building.... more

It was located right next to where I needed to be
Yes! There was blood spots on my nightstand, the curtain and on the shower curtain..when the guy came to look he just sorry plus the house keeper walked in my room twice while I was sleeping. When we complained about this it was like it ahhh to himFor the price we paid I should not had to deal with blood all over my room
Convenience of location of where we needed it to be.
The fact we were not notified the entire building is surrounded by scaffolding for repairs/upgrades. One of the three elevators wasn't working and the other two were so slow. People were taking the elevator up to go down it took so long to get one open.Free internet was good, did not use any of the other services. Over priced for the service & room. Would probably not stay there again or recommend.

Beautiful. Centrally located to all major attractions in the downtown Seattle are. Very good restaurant located adjacent to the hotel, as well (Juno). I even recommended to locals!Charming history and great character. Excellent customer service.
Loved the character and charm of the hotel. Loved the special touches like the french press coffee bar.
I'm sure it was an oversight but cleaning missed my room one of the days.Hope to get back there again to enjoy!

I've stayed at a Kimpton before so I knew what to expect. However the valet and bell service gentlemen were very pleasant and helpful. The decor is very modern chic with an nouveau art touch.
The parking was outrageously expensive and we did not appreciate that the only option was to Valley our car. We arrived at check in time and our room was not ready so we had to wait 20 minutes. When we arrived, the first lady at the front desk (cont'd)Said she would look into how long the wait would be and asked us to sit in the foyer. After five minutes I saw her leave for her break without even letting us know what she found out or passing us on to another Co worker to continue helping us. I wasn't impressed by that incident.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Stylish furniture rather than comfortable.

They were very accommodating. We had just returned from a cruise and arrived at the hotel around 10 am. They were able to allow all 4 couples check into our rooms that early.
When booking hotel, doesn't say parking fees will be $50 ($40/night plus tax). Hotel wouldn't budge on price of parking even $5. They are definitely not taking in consideration return business because they were flat out 'don't care'.When parking fees are involved, especially at $50/night, there should be some way to communicate this in the price of bidding. We would have definitely stayed somewhere else. The check-in staff is definitely matter of fact and we don't care, to bad, go somewhere else if you don't like it.

The location. Close enough to walk every where without paying $--- a night.
We booked 2 room for 7 people and only got 1 bed in each room. They would not help us with this issue. Parking was $40 a night that should really be stated somewhere. 1 elevator wasn't working leaving just 1 For both guests and staff, we had to use stairI have stayed here often in the past I will not stay here ever again though.
