Good experience overall
Pros: I had never used Sixt and was worried that they would be a step down from the larger car companies. I was wrong. The checkin process was pretty smooth. They did not have the car I had reserved (midsize sedan), so they upgraded me for free to a luxury sedan. That was a nice touch.
Cons: A good deal of upselling during check-in, which I politely declined. Dropoff was slower than other companies, but not horrible.

Need a human to talk to
Cons: Had to cancel due to flight cancellation and it took hours to reach a human. Plus I had to go to a supervisor in order to get it done. The girl working the phone had a huge attitude! This company is hard to work with.

Good, quick, clean
Pros: The car was absolutely pristine, less than 4000 miles on it (Toyota Yaris). Picking up the car (SeaTac Rental Facilitiy) was easy and fast - gave me a water bottle for the road and simple map of the area I would be around, warned me of toll roads, etc. I called when I realized I would have to extend my rental a few hours (drop off was 7AM, wanted to extend to 7PM). Since I picked it up at 7PM, the customer service rep on the phone told me not to worry since I was dropping it off the same day, prior to the 7PM pickup time - so no extra cost. Dropping the car off, I simply followed the signs and dropped the car off, signed my name and left. I was a bit wary, but I was not charged anything out of the ordinary. The invoice/bill was fairly clear - I would have appreciated a little explanation of some of the charges, but there was nothing I didn't expect.
Cons: Not much to say bad - I didn't have any issues or extra requirements, so I'd say I was an easy customer. GPS would be a nice feature to be installed in ALL their cars, instead of as an extra charge - it would only benefit them in the long run (rentals are usually for tourists/out of towners - accidents are much more likely for those looking around instead of concentrating on the road).

Pros: Dude at sixt was great.
Cons: Mixup between airport pickup and downtown Seattle cost me 4 hrs in arriving at destination.

Pros: Used Kayak and selected that I wanted to pickup car at airport to find out that car was booked at the downtown location which was a $50 uber ride and 30 minutes away. In route I asked location if they would stay open an extra 5 minutes (it was 6:35 and they close at 7) and the employee rudely says "we close at 7 sir but will be open tomorrow morning at 7" which left me stranded looking for an alternate solution and loosing out on the pre-paid rental.

Cons: The worker was nice, but the process to checkout was pretty inefficient. The cars are parked in a garage across the street of a busy intersection, he doesn't walk with you to check out the car since there is only one employee working. I found several scratches that weren't documented and had to go back to the office to have him come document them. Their app makes them take a picture of the license plate for every item that needs documenting, plus 3 photos of the damage. Isn't there a way to optimize this? It took me over an hour to pickup the car and finally leave even though I was the only customer. I had some questions 2 days before and was unable to get in touch with anyone on the phone. Prices are cheap, but you get what you pay for with the customer service experience. Will go with one of the bigger brands next time.

Pros: Great price, nice vehicle, great service...everything was as expected.
Cons: I had to change my vehicle and reaching customer service was very difficult. It took quite a long time but once I reached them it went very smoothly.

Pros: This was a solid rental experience. We got the rental for a good price at had a ever easy pickup and dropoff experience. The customer service desk personnel were quick and efficient. And the vehicle was as advertised, new, clean, and met our needs.

Pros: The customer service was great. I picked up my car in the airport and everyone was very nice, no hassle and gave me a free water bottle for my friend and me. I returned the car in the downtown location and I got lost couldn't find the place,I called the location and they were so nice to direct me and tell me where to park.

Didn't honor my reservation price
Cons: I wanted to extend my rental but they wouldn't do it. They wanted to charge me almost double and wouldn't honor the price I found on Kayak

Best option for a premium vehicle!
Pros: Pricing was great, options were also! When we returned our vehicle the service was incredible!
Cons: Our vehicle had dirty windows, not a huge deal but frustrating to have to go buy glass cleaner for a car you rented is frustrating. The girl who helped me at the counter was demeaning and unkind, but that's not the company...we all have our days.

Pros: When my daughter and I checked in - we found out that the car we had reserved had apparently been in a wreck so we were granted an upgrade to a different car. HOWEVER -----
Cons: The upgrade cost me more money, the car they gave us, was yes, a Mercedes. I've never driven one....My daughter who is 5'4 and myself who is a little taller, CONTINUALLY hit our heads on the doors trying to get in and out of this car. Wasn't worth the money or the upgrade. Please do not send me a voucher to rent from you again...I'm not traveling anytime soon.

Mercedes C-Series with Sixt
Pros: Sixt agents were professional and polite. The reserved model was available on schedule, and the rental process was simple and fast.
Cons: A huge series of hidden fees added another large expense. Luxury vehicle was unclean on rental. GPS system had been disabled or removed by Sixt to be rented for additional cost.

Stressful and frustrating experience. Nerver again
Pros: The car was clean.
Cons: Stressful and frustrating experience. Said I needed to pay $500 deposit on a credit card, which I didn't have as I'd booked it on my debit card. Offered to cancel my reservation and re-book it a greatly increased fee. When I said that was unacceptable they downgraded me to a lower tier car even though I had to pay the same as my original booking, just with a $200 dollar deposit now. A shrug and 'what do you want me to do' from Ms Cowley at the counter. So I call their 'customer support' who register a complaint but 'can't do anything for me as they can't over-ride the branch'. Branch manager calls and refunds me $20 but is unable to do anything else as I booked it through a third part (Kayak). Such a joke and typical of rental car companies. Enough with the bullshit nickle and dime fine-print bullshit. Just give me the car I booked at the price I paid for it at. Why is that so hard?! Won't use Sixt again.

Pros: LADY AT COUNTERS AND RETURN WERE AEWSOME.
Cons: OVERSELLING THE NEED TO HAVE TOLL ROAD ADDED TO THE SERVICES WHEN THE AREA I WAS IN DIDN'T NEED IT.

Terrible pick up experience
Pros: Rented an SUV and the Suburban was perfect for our needs.
Cons: The pick up experience was among the worst ever. Far worse than your worst Dollar Rent a Car experience! Took more than an hour to get the vehicle and to add insult to injury they tried to charge me $150 for two days of insurance. Crazy bad service. The staff clearly need better training and support if Sixt int new to stay in business.

Pros: Fast friendly service.
Cons: I rented a SUV but when I picked it up they said it was a front wheel drive. I had to have a all wheel drive so they upgraded me but it cost and extra $118 for 5 days. If they don't have the car that is reserved it needs to be a free upgrade.

Excellent car for excellent price
Pros: A Benz for $100 for three days? Seriously, it doesn't get better than that. Sixt was easy. No complications. Friendly staff. Car pickup and drop off was cake.
Cons: My experience was great. No negatives.

Bait and Switch
Cons: I ordered a Mercedes GSA and when i get there they didnt have one right away so they got me a Land Rover Discovery instead. The Discovery is a bare bones model that didnt really have any "luxury" features at all. I was mot impressed at all with the Land Rover dicovery and feel that Sixt got me into a cheaper car when I was supposed to have something better.

Pros: I liked that they had a car available.
Cons: You name it. Poor service, problems with the car, returned the car only to have left my phone in it. Returned to the car in 20 minutes and NO One had seen it. Not even the person who cleaned the car. I phone pinged back to their kiosk. ????????? No need to give you the rest of the details.............

Extremely difficult to reach a person on their pho
Cons: Sixt was extremely difficult to reach over the phone while on our road trip. We were needing to reach someone to extend our rental so that we would not accrue any unnecessary fees, however we were not able to reach anyone after 2 hours of trying to navigate their automated system. This was unacceptable, as we were forced to return our rental in late, just hoping that we would not get charged extra fees aside from another rental day.

Pros: The car was great.
Cons: I was emailed that i could skip the pickup line if i filled out a form online. I did that but was still required to wait in line for more than 1 hour to get the car.

Fast and easy
Pros: I was unsure how this would go based on another review I read. There was no line and plenty of people ready to help. The ladies that helped me were nice and prompt. The car was ready early. The car was new and clean. I loved it.

Dirty car and poor customer service....
Cons: Car was dirty. Getting the car took forever and dropping off they were super rude. Rent cars almost every week. First time trying sixt and last. My advice go to someone else.

Someone Else Rented That Car On My Credit Card
Pros: Nothing about this experience.
Cons: 1. I didn't rent through them, I actually was on vacation some where else. 2. When I called them to cancel the reservation that was made in my name by my credit card, but not by me they redirected me to the online service that supposedly charged my credit card that service never answered their phone and the next day it was disconnected. 3. Over all experience was not good. Not sure if Kayak compromised my card or not, but probably last time I use kayak or sixt

Pros: Car return process was quick.
Cons: Still didn't get the final receipt of bill and car return by email. At the time of return in garage agent show me receipt in small device that she is going to send me but still didn't received email. I checked my junk email. At the time of online booking for van "SIENNA or similar" Actually they don't have any Sienna in fleet as per booking agent. If you don't have don't say.

Make sure they note sctratches
Pros: Everything except the damage policy
Cons: I told the guy in the booth there was three scratches on the hood and he assured me they were recorded then upon return they want to charge me for thrm.

Best Car Hire Yet!
Pros: The car was reasonably new, clean and well looked after. I had the car for 43 days and the charges through Kayak were very reasonable. I would most definatly use this service again.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER
Cons: The lady at the counter lied to me and told me she didn't get my reservation. I knew she was lying to me because when I gave her my reservation number she told me it's for 2 pm. I never told her that information but she knew. It was 12 pm at the time so she couldn't have known that it was booked for two. Then she totally switched and said oh no I don't see it. She was just being spiteful I could tell because she had something against me since the moment I got there. She was dismissive and very unapproachable. She was the African American woman working there at 12 pm on the 11th of January. Please hire people with better attitudes. I ended up going with Alamo and still have the car. I wanted a luxury car and ended up paying Alamo $1000 for the car. You should learn how to treat your customers. I have been a sixt customer in Dubai too where I rented a Mercedes GL. Had a great experience that's why I came back. Never coming back again.

Pros: Ended up with a SUV (GMC ACADIA) that was large enough for Four adults with luggage. Great rep in the garage helping to resolve a terrible mix-up. Easy to find lot on pick-up and drop-off.
Cons: I requested a large Volvo 90 and called to confirm I had it. This was affirmed. I called again three days before pick up and was told they did not have them (SEATAC OFFICE..) This was AFTER I called the national office (very nice representative) and was then referred to the local office. There was no answer and after 10 minutes it looped back to the national office. The national rep agreed to send an email to the local office with a summary of my issue. Later that day a local SEATAC office rep called . When we arrived on the pick-up day the desk rep told us the VOLVO 60 would not be large enough and we should upgrade to a Mercedes for an ADITIONL ten dollars per day! We upgraded BUT when we got to the upgraded Mercedes we found it was no larger then the Volvo 60. Thankfully we were able to work with a terrific young woman in the garage who was able to get us a SUV which met our needs very well. It is sad that this could have been resolved at the very start .

Pros: The helpfulness of the staff and the straight forward terms. It was also an excellent value!!!
Cons: I reserved a Mercedes and was instead given a Volvo. Not a big deal though, as they gave me a higher quality model and only charged me the original price.

Pros: Excellent car! Often times when you rent a car they give you the entry model. Our Volvo XC60 was brand new fully loaded with all upgrades.
Cons: We arrived at the airport the car was not ready. They asked us to wait 15 minutes, but there was no waiting room and it was very cold in the garage. So we went to a covered area in another floor, and after we returned 20 minutes later it was still not ready, we had to wait some more.

Kayak price VERY misleading.
Pros: I liked the VOLVO XC60. I don't know that has any benefit for Sixt.
Cons: I DID NOT like that I had to take an ADDITIONAL shuttle to get car. I DO NOT like the ADDITIONAL charges. EVERYONE was rude and did not wanna come out to assist in the rain. Kayak price VERY MISLEADING!!!!!!!

Pros: We were told we could drop the car off at a location in downtown Seattle instead of the airport so we went there because it was more convenient. When we did that, we were then charged a $150.00 one-way drop off charge which we were not informed about previously. Both the guy working the desk, Terry, and the manager, Shelby, were very helpful in correcting that extra charge and we were credited back the $150.00. Overall, Sixt was very good to work with and the car we had was great. I wish they had a rental store in Fort Myers, FL because we need a car there next month!

Pros: Customer service was swift, friendly, and accommodating. I rented a standard and got an upgrade to the next level because of something I thought was not a big deal( it took a few minutes to pull the car around). I ended up getting a luxury leather seated dream car with navigation-which helped tremendously while driving in BC, Canada. Loved it.
Cons: Not applicable. There was not one thing i would have changed. I enjoyed it all, checkout was easy and every one on staff was friendly and accommodating. They made the whole process really easy for me. The price was great too.
