Cons: Stood in line, and after 15 minutes, the lady told me she was closing and to go downstairs and someone would help me with my reservation there. I waited another 45 mins for the lady downstairs to assist the person in front of me. I reserved a full size SUV, but when the Fox employee pulled up my reservation, she said all they had were mini vans. I paid more for the full size SUV when I had reserved it the month prior, and didn't want a mini van. She said that's what I get. I would have selected a different car rental company if I knew they were falsely advertising that price for the car class I selected.

Read and think about it before you book
Cons: Slow service to check in then found out they didn't have the type of car requested despite reserving AND paying weeks in advance. He did comp my gas -- had to keep telling the drop off people to "check the notes" though they did and eventually honored the note. Check in girl to return car very rude - no greeting and "hey, move the car back here." Geez. Got the promised car two days later. Having to drop an additional $150. deposit and now have to track the return to make sure it happens and fees for early return, late return, etc. make it a poor/mediocre experience compared to other agencies. Other staff were okay but not very friendly, customer service oriented.

Worst car rental experience ever
Cons: After arriving at their facility at Sea-Tac airport, they told us that they have run out of cars. There were about 10 customers in line who had reservations, but Fox had run out of cars. So they (3 people) handed numbers out to us and took us to basement where cars usually are and they drove to some location and got 2 cars at a time. We reached their facility at about 12am and it was almost 3:30am when they got me a car. Well, I had booked a standard size and they gave me a Chrysler van. I didn't want to drive a van, but didn't want to wait any longer and hence took it. I needed a toddler car seat too. And they only had 1 toddler car seat and that also had only 1 strap. So basically a very unsafe car seat. So they had to being me a different one. Finally, we were ready to drive away with this van that I didn't want and the tire pressure light turned on indicating the tires have low pressure. I told the attendant and she started tell me "you have 2 options..." and I stopped her at that point. Having waiting for almost 4 hours now, getting a car that I didn't want and basically unsafe car, I didn't want to hear any of their options. So I cancelled my booking and booked a car at Dollars, which was twice as expensive. I got a mini-SUV for $95 a day. Horrible experience. about 10 customers suffered like me. It is a shame that Kayak would even offer this car company. They have pretty bad reviews.

Pros: Nice car reasonably priced
Cons: I stood in line.for 1 hr to get the car. There were 30 people in front of.me in line. Loved the price but my time is worth something also. Lots of other rental companies at same location with no lines.

Cons: I made the mistake of booking two days extra. So, after spending a hour and half on hold with Fox with no human contact, we decided to address it at the rental. They claimed it was a $20 per day early return fee! How would early return require a fee? That means that they can rent the car two additional days. We decided to swap the $40 fee for a $100 "upgrade" charge to a larger vehicle. The car was absolutely disgusting. We had to take it to get vacuumed on our own dime. Then to top it all off $57 for a quarter tank of gas. Never again will I chose Fox.

Overall it went well, a little misleading
Pros: The line was pretty quick, there was an issue with a lady's reservation who was ahead of me but it sounded like they were working hard to make it work well for both parties. The process was pretty quick from the time I got to the front of the line all the way through getting the car and driving out of the parking garage (SEATAC).
Cons: There were a few things: 1. Misleading: I put in a for a mini-van, when I got to the front I was asked how many were in my party, I mentioned 5-7 with luggage and was asked if I wanted a full size SUV upgrade instead of the mini-van. I took it thinking it was an upgrade only to find out it was a standard SUV which could seat 7 but with no luggage. Two of the party ended up getting rides so we didn't try and switch back. 2. Return: I pulled in to return the vehicle and ended up waiting 10 minutes while other vehicles that came in after me were checked in. I don't know if they were special members or something else, the person that finally helped me apologized but no explanation on the extended wait was provided.

Pros: That I was able to get a car from another seller
Cons: The line was incredibly long. After 35 mins and no movement, I went to another vendor and was able to get a car in under 3 mins for the same price.

The FOX rental bait and switch
Pros: I like how they duped me..bravo, won't happen again.
Cons: I reserved a Chrysler 300, so I approached the concierge desk with piece of mind thinking that I would receive a comfortable car to transport my mother with a herniated spinal disk. Instead I get immediately told that the car I put a down payment on wasn't in stock. I get a Kia Soul with complementary carpet French fries(disgusting). It was not comfortable and not my choice. The cherry on top was my bill, EXACTLY THE SAME PRICE AS THE CHRYSLER I WAS SUPPOSED TO GET. I'm appalled by this business and I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT. BUYER BEWARE.

Lots of hidden fees
Cons: When we checked in, there were a lot of additional fees not included in the initial rental agreement. We did opt to pre-pay for gas but upon returning, it was a good thing I asked because they were going to charge me the non-prepaid price. The person helping us check out our car initially was very rude and unpleasant also.

One hour wait in line...
Pros: Good value. Cheaper than other companies by a long-shot.
Cons: Spent at least an hour in line waiting for my vehicle. It might have been longer, but other people ahead of me gave up and switched to other companies.

Pickup took 1h+
Pros: The car was nice and dropoff was pretty easy and quick
Cons: We waited at least 1 hour to pickup the car. I had to change an appointment because they took so long, and so did several other people in line. There were 2 employees working, and 3 empty computer terminals that could have been used, even though reservations specify when rentals will be picked up. The company knew there would be that many people. Once I completed paperwork I wasn't given any instruction on where to go to find the car, so I had to prompt the employee to tell me what to do. Then I had to ask another employee where I could find the keys to the car. Next time I'll happily pay more to avoid such a pickup mess.

Cons: We were told the car we would be renting had navigation, and it did not. had to use our phone data to get around Seattle. The checkout process took longer than expected

Too good to be true?
Pros: Price advertised was the lowest of all companies.Turned out it was a joke.
Cons: At the Seattle Tacoma international they send us downstairs saying they can write contracts there so we all went after waiting in line like 20 min. We had a reservation and so did other people. There were 5 parties waiting to pick up their car and the person behind the counter actually told us that his computer was down and that he would help us negotiate a better rate with the other rental companies. So the gentlemen took off with the first customer in line. After 45 min the customer came back alone , she looked confused, but the Fox employee never showed. We called the upstairs office and asked if they knew what was going on. They said computers are back up and they don't know where our person went so they will send someone new. No one came. After another 25 min we went to E-Z and were on our way literally in 5 min. Unbelievable that the rental company Fox would allow such things to happen. With other rental companies when computers are down they simply take down your information and put it in when it's back up. This was going to be first time with Fox but now it's last. Would not recommend to anyone.

Better price, same car
Pros: Fox was dramatically less experienced endive than all the other rental companies for this trip. We got a car, it got us where we needed to go. No issues with the car or service, no hidden fees I saw reported in other angry reviews.

Pickup was a disaster
Pros: The car itself was fine.
Cons: Upon arrival there were no cars available/left from Fox despite having reserved one a week before. As a result Fox "referred" me to Pay Less Rent A Car, where I was charged approximately $100.00 more than the rate I had I had booked online through Kayak. The Fox employee told me that I would receive a reimbursement check for the difference within 2 weeks but I have little confidence in this actually happening due to the amount of disorganization and confusement at pickup.

Pros: We set our pickup for 12:00am on Thursday. Our flight was late by an hour and by the time we got to the fox rental desk they had given away our car and had no other cars. I had to spend an 2 hours trying to find another one and had to spend double the money because it was last minute. I will never use fox again.

Cons: they overbooked, and ran out of vehicles..we had a reservation that they dismissed with out so much as an explanation. We were walked to a competitor Payless, we were told there would be no increase in price...bottom line, we had a reservation from Fox at $360.91....our final cost after the run around... $539.00...a $179. 00 difference with no mention of compensation or even an apology for the 2 hours we stood in line.

Slow check out, dirty car
Pros: The price was more than reasonable for the type of car being rented.
Cons: Despite having reserved the car for a specific time to pick it up, we waited over an hour for it to be cleaned. Even then, the cleaning done to the car was very poor. There was so much haze built up on the interior of the windshield that it was impossible to see out of it when sun light hit it.

Watch out for damage
Pros: All went well until the return
Cons: Return agent claimed damage to windshield, noting pits the size of a pencil point. Issue resolved when it was pointed out that car had 40.000 miles and was delivered wet in dark garage. Marred otherwise reasonable experience. I have never had someone claim windshield damage and I rent cars 25-30 times per year.

Cons: I ended up paying more than twice as much for hidden "taxes" the day of pick-up. I paid around $90 for the car for two days on kayak ($60 for car rental for two days and $40 for taxes - which were not mentioned until check-out). I ended up paying an additional $80 of taxes when I picked up the car. The staff were not friendly.

Pros: Picking up the vehicle was super easy, they were flexible with my pick up time and allowed me to take the car two hours early. The car was clean, size I requested.
Cons: While in Seattle I had to use a toll road, one day one time one way. When dropping off the car I alerted customer service to this. The initial woman checking me in was a nightmare. She kept repeating to me their "only" policy on fees associated with toll roads. I began to get frustrated because I knew there was a second fee structure that involved me paying less than $90. When I kept asking her about the other program she kept continuously explaining the same program. She then looked over to her associate and requested that she helped me, because she explained things clearly and didn't know why I wasn't understanding. The other associate directed me to s gentleman who was able to effectively assist me. Not my ideal customer service situation. Read the toll road policy for yourself! Provide your own customer service!

Pros: I did like the vehicle it was clean and adequate for my needs
Cons: Due to traffic and a few other things. I was running a couple of hours late ( still the same day) so I called and was on hold to talk to somebody for a hour which I then hung up. When I arrived I explained my situation and was still charged a whole day for a couple of hours. Would not recommend using again

1st time renting
Pros: It was our 1st time renting a car and I have to say we were pretty satisfied with the service and the car. We were not used to getting into a car so low but everything else was really good

I'll be back...
Pros: The customer service rep that checked me and was fabulous. Very personable. Very easy to rent online through kayak. The only thing is that they required $150 deposit which I was not aware of. Maybe I missed the FinePrint. Likely I had the money. Despite that, everything was fabulous!

Pros: The pickup and drop-off went smoothly. Vehicle ran well.
Cons: The original vehicle was not the 'type' of car that was listed on the website - it was smaller; even the 'upgrade' was small. The vehicle itself was a typical rental - it had dings and scratches and was the basic no-frills package. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR VEHICLE FRONT-TO-BACK and fill out the 'vehicle check list'. It was difficult because of the poor lighting in the garage, but write down EVERYTHING.

Pros: Decent car for price, had a handy ice scrapper in trunk. Service friendly. Liked that they allow half tank gas purchase which was all I needed.

Nice new camery
Pros: I liked the car and how simple things were
Cons: When I got there reserved acad similar to camery but they said all they had was a van at no extra charge. There is no way I was taking my clients out to dinner in a mini van, so after a few uncomfortable moments, the gentleman called down to see how long it would be for a mid size, and they had one ready

Cons: Checking in on 5th floor was the furthest possible away you could be from pick up. Bus from seatac too much waiting between stops

Pros: I liked the woman at the counter, since we were from out of town, she explained the toll system to us and was very clear about how to avoid getting charged for tolls.
Cons: The maintenance light came on about halfway through our trip. The car had low milage so we assumed that it was for an oil change, but it was disconcerting.

Pros: Dropping the car off was great. Didn't really have to do too much.
Cons: I didn't like the fact that you did not tell me about the deposit. So I had to use a different card to begin with. When I brought the car back we were able to put it on the card I wanted it on, but I had to wait a day to get my money back from the card I used to begin with.

Pros: Drop-off was easy
Cons: Had car for 3 days plus 3 hours. Charged for 4 full days and charged a late fee for being over 3 days. Got them to drop the late fee since they charged me for 4 full days. It was 50% more money than my Kayak booking sheet said.
