TERRIBLE! After landing waited 2 1/2 hours in line to be waited on. Tried to give me a car when rented SUV, finally got it-was dirty inside. Talked in to getting prepaid tolls, never was on a toll road. Told agent where was going and he said should do the toll thing-huge mistake. By time everything was done I was in the rental car place over 3 hours!! Will never rent from budget again!!!!Reviewed Sep 27 2023

My only annoyance was a "change oil required" message on the dashboard. As it turned out the car had been recently serviced but the computer not reset. Unfortunately, we couldn't find this out over the phone so had to waste half a day of our holiday going to the nearest Budget location. Otherwise, we were very happy with the car. Message to Budget: make sure the car's computer is reset after servicing!Reviewed Sep 19 2022

The downtown location was horrible. The guy working the counter was great. But they made me walk up the ramp to the 4th floor, walk through a bunch of cars that were parked in the driveway that were very close to each other. Then my car was so tight to the next car I don't know how I even squeezed my body into it. Hurt my back doing so. My paperwork said the car was full but it was 2/3 tank Then I had to drive the wrong way down the ramp to leave the garage. Drop off was very confusing once I got to where they were in the garage. They just had you leave the keys on dash and walk away.Reviewed May 8 2022

Pros:Pick up AWFUL! Drop off was easy.Cons:PICKUP: It took 2 1/2 hours to get my car due to the LONG line at the Budget rental at SEATAC. Budget was the ONLY car rental place to have a line. Too few people working the desk (it varied from 1 to at most 3 people). Plus, a long time per each customer (averaged 15 to 20 minutes each. I timed it)Reviewed May 12 2021

Pros:yes, but the car sent messages that that the engine needed service. We were in the middle of our trip from Seatle to Processor Washington. We were in the middle of public forests. We continued at slower speeds onward to Processor for my brother's funeral. It made a bad situation even worse. We feared being stranded and missing the funeral. We finally reached Processor. We contacted Avis/Budget at the Pasco airport. We drover out to Pasco and exchanged cars. We eventually returned their car to the Seattle airport' At this time I am not sure what will be the total charges for both cars. Pros:The workers tried to help.Cons:Their rental desk in Seattle was closing at 1 AM, but I was not made aware of this during my rental, so I almost missed the opportunity to pick up my key. Once I had my car, I was unable to leave the parking lot since the barricade/gate was across and the power was somehow turned off to that portion of the exit. I sat in my car for nearly an hour while the staff and security worked to find a key or way to manually remove the barricade or find another way out of the rental car area. Eventually power came on and they were able to release me and my rental car at about 2 AM.Reviewed Feb 17 2021

Pros:The staff member was not pleasant. Tried to sell and after declining he refused service.Cons:Fire him. Clearly he was having a bad day or just doesn’t like his job. He should be fired or put in the back where he is away from customers.Reviewed Jan 27 2021
