Great friendly and helpful employees. Would have been nice to have breakfast included in the cost of the room , i.e. Hampton Inns.
Loved the central location. Staff friendly. Clean. Great cookies. Shower curtain smelled like mildew. Wish beds were queen, instead of double.
Every worked well for us. Needs refrigerator in rooms.
Pay extra for parking. Should be included. This is the highest priced hotel in town.
Hotel staff was friendly, room was clean and comfortable, and the cookies were delicious upon check-in and check-out. I wish the room would have had a bathtub/shower combination, but it only had a shower. The ice machine on my floor was not working properly, but they sent someone up promptly to fix it. The only real complaint that I had was that I was double charged for my stay. I was charged once through my booking site and again at the hotel. I still haven't received my refund yet.
Everything , overall, except ........ Powdered eggs for breakfast
The location was better than most, as it got me to my appointments in about 10 minutes. Easy parking, very quiet Everything was surprisingly clean, almost unheard of in most of the hotel chains. No unpleasant surprises here. Staff was indifferent, breakfast didn't seem extraordinary., but I only viewed it.
Great linens. Great location for sightseeing. Friendly, helpful employees.
The rooms were very large compared to other motels I have been to, No swimming pool and the breakfast, had poor quality food and very limited choice.
Where it is located Our door broke and they easily broke into my room they did give us a new room but acted like it was no big deal that it happned
Convenient location and inexpensive, good parking Noise from train, tiny bathroom without exhaust, dark colors-not Like pictured
The hotel was older but clean. It was close to the railroad tracks but it didn't go by too many times in the night, about 10:30 pm and 5:30am. The train is very loud. My room was on the outside of the hotel next to a boarded up house.
It was comfortable & walking distance to all the attractions. The train was disruptive to my sleep several times a night. Horn going late at night.
Nothing. Everything. This motel is full with roaches. every where. Receptionist person was rude and very unhelpful.
Bed and pillows are comfortable. To noise, train to close, shower very small, and the room smell humid, so moist,,,wifi to weak didn't work at all,,old TVs,, I really don't recommend this hotel for the price, pictures are different than real,
Price was fairly affordable compared to many of the other hotels in Springfield. Room was adequate, bed was comfortable. Liked having a fridge and a microwave in the room. Within a pretty short walk from the Amtrak station, and I came in via train, so I could just walk over on arrival. Saved a taxi fare. Liked having a free computer with Internet in lobby for guests. Outdoor swimming pool was big, and seemed quite popular, though I didn't try it myself. A few things: -- Front desk is not staffed adequately. The desk seemed deserted for fairly long periods, and no staff appeared even if the bell on the counter was rung or people called the number of the hotel on the phone -- the phone just rang and rang, with no one responding at the desk. One lady was standing at the front desk and told me she had been waiting for someone to appear for 20 minutes. -- There was no coffee maker in the room, despite the online site saying it had one. -- There was no clock radio in the room -- first time I ever saw this anywhere. The clerk said maybe it was stolen or defective and not replaced. Not good. -- It would have been nice to have some movie channels in addition to basic cable -- HBO, pay-per-view, anything. -- The location isn't ideal if you want to visit downtown, the government area, etc. It's a pretty far walk. There are also very few restaurants nearby except some fast-food places, and those are about 6 blocks away.
