Rooms were clean. Great location for attending the zoo. When having dinner, the dining room was closed so we had to eat in the Bar. Service was still good. Older hotel and showing a little wear and tear.
It's in a great location only 5-10 minutes away from all the things we wanted to do in St Louis. The staff was nice and helpful with anything we asked for. The beds weren't super comfortable and we had a hard time keeping the room a comfortable temperature. The unit was set to 65 and it felt more like 75.
Easy driving location to our destinations of SLU and Wash U for college visits. Bonus close to zoo for a little down time and nice grocery, public library and simple retail (Target) down the street. Simple, and efficient business center that we used. Recycle garbage cans in room a great idea! Would of preferred simple breakfast included and a map of the nearby restaurants (local) and attractions would be helpful.
Staff and location was great. Shower was small and the shower head was mounted very low. I'm only 5'9" and it was way to low. Halls had a odd oder. They didn't keep the dining area very clean
Convenient to university area Heater didn't work. Wifi was spotty. Parking was $5 extra. Night door Lock was broken. Felt like a cheap and halfway done remodel of a modest old 1960s hotel.
Staff friendly. Location was great Room dirty. Stains in the carpet and headboards. Found a sour patch kid under a chair and plenty of dust/dirt from previous tenants. Shower head very low.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is in a nice area and seems to be a good value. It was in walking distance from plenty of little restaurants and shops. Also, very near the Barnes Jewish Hospital. Tiny Tiny bathroom!
Family friendly, easy access to restaurants and public transit system, friendly staff!
Staff was friendly and helpful Noisy at night
Modern And clean - bed very comfortable No vent in bathroom and counter too big for space
Hard wood floors, no bed skirts Noisy elevator
The experience was great. Staff was nice, clean space, wood floors make sense, excellent room / bath / bed. Would havens dread if the pool area closed later than 10.
no Wi-Fi, couldn't sleep because of constantant work being done all I heard was bbanbang throughout the nighte so I couldn't sleep at all either night
Nice room, very clean. Very nice TV. Would return! No mini fridge
Fairly close to downtown, restaurants nearby, convenient to 64-40, friendly staff.
Abnormally small room. It was a closet, the pictures were misleading.
I liked the location. The heat strips in the room took too long to warm up.
It was clean and updated. Very pleasing to the eye. Could hear people talking outside our room on their way to their room at night.
Convenient location Very small room. During our 4 night/3 day stay, housekeeping provided full service for 1 day only. Some of the staff members were very friendly and helpful, while others were not.
Close to airport, good shuttle service and parking Had a very loud group that left around 10 PM, very loud. Returned through a side entrancebetween 2A and 3A very drunk and loud. No security to tell them to shut up, walls very thin! They should lock the side doors after midnight and make everyone enter through the front!
Proximity to airport, price and availability. We couldn't get a late check-out.
Close to the airport after 1 day of travelling. Comfortable room with good shower. Staff gathering at the front desk while we were checking in. This does not give you a special welcome feeling.
Very bad, was no where near the price quoted by Booking.com.............I Will never book anything through booking>com again ! Very bad, was no where near the price quoted by Booking.com.............I Will never book anything through booking>com again !
We had to get to the airport at 6, and it was this or a 4 am shuttle for $80. The room was clean, the bed felt nice, and the staff was nice. The shuttle in the morning was quick. No mini fridge, which seems like a minimum essential these days. The walls were paper thin, I either heard our neighbors or they heard us several times. The AC unit rattled a little. The whole place was a bit shabby, with a bad paint job, dirty and hot hallways. I thought more than 3 towels should be provided for a 2 person room.
shuttle ride was helpful carpets were filthy, stains, no cold water to my room almost got burned by the shower. sheets had hairs on them. toilet paper on floor of bathroom.
Close to airport. Great pick up service. Older facility.
The desk clerk was sooo very helpful. He gave directions, advise, and answered all questions posed. Steps but there's nothing to be done for that.
Convenience of location to airport, car rental agency and close proximity to family being visited. Disappointed that the breakfast voucher for the restaurant was not open ended. As the voucher only allowed you have specific food and the restauant would not allow us to deviate from that unless we paid extra, example could not exchange a coffee for tea, tea had to be paid for at full price. A recommendation would be that the voucher would be of a certain value and allow the user to choose food they liked to the value of that voucher and the user would then pay any additional costs incurred.
The shuttle bus picked us up at the airport and drove us to the car rental place the morning we checked out. The room was clean and nice.
Old motel, new comfortable beds and furnishings. Chose it for price and was pleasantly surprised with cleanliness and new room furnishings. Provided a very nice breakfast at the adjacent Golden Pancake restaurant. (2 eggs scrambled, 2 link sausages, hash browns, and choice of coffee or orange juice). would have liked a small choice that included pancakes.
Only the Asian woman who tried to help The room: lots of hair on towels Which were on the on rack when we got int room, room smelled, refrigerator did not work and was moldy. Never had towels to replenish, thank goodness we had our own thinking the pool would be open. The pool was not open and it was not stated on website. We would not have stayed here in the first place. Kid wanted to swim.
The pool isn't going to open this year, but no notice given. Spotty housekeeping for our room. We never new if we'd get clean towels, coffee, garbage emptied, etc.
The complimentary breakfast was awful. I also ask for a room with a single bed and got 2.
I booked a room with 2 standard beds & got 1 queen & small sleeper sofa! I was not happy! The sofa was tiny & springs stuck out! I will not book thru kayak again!
Staff were friendly, quick, and knowledgeable. For the price, it was conveniently located. If you are going to a football game, the location is very convenient (if not, it is busy and noisy on game morning). Walls VERY thin, I definitely heard more than I wanted to of the room next door even with both of our TVs on. The shower was not hot. I don't know if it was too many people using hot water at the same time or what. Breakfast/coffee was taken down before 9 on Sunday morning because people started arriving to park for the football game. The place looked somewhat shabby, mismatched paint and little repairs done shoddily, but for the price right downtown that's expected.
Good location, large bed, tv awful breakfast (bugs in the bred, stuff like that) / Room service keep on yelling and knocking at your door until you open in the morning (very annoying and no sign "do not disturb") / weird shower and the door did not close / dirty carpet
After reading the reviews I was pretty nervous about this stay. We usually stay at another hotel, but they were booked up. I was definitely surprised with this hotel. We walked back to the hotel around 2:30 am and there weren't any homeless people like reviews stated. Our beds were clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and the location was ideal. I would defintely consider staying here agian on my next trip to St. Louis. Had issues wih our keys working. Only real con. This is not a luxuy hotel, so don't expect one. Its budget friendly. You get what you pay for.
