I wish I would have gotten more information from the person I picked up the car from. I'm not upset that I got charged to cleaning fee, I'm upset that it wasn't explained to me in the first place especially when I told her I was riding with the dog.Reviewed Dec 2 2023

Had a windshield crack the first day (due to a chip impact certainly done during previous rental) and my car was changed without problem. Excellent support and I recommend taking the optional assistance.Reviewed Oct 22 2023

They oversold their cars and had none available when my flight landed despite my having prepaid for the rental more than 24 hours in advance. I waited for more than an hour and was finally told my only options were to wait another one to three hours to see if a car was returned (something they could not guarantee), take a $70 Uber to my hotel and come back to the airport the following day to pick up a car, or pay an additional $120+ for a higher class vehicle that they had promised to someone else. The man at the counter was rude, disrespectful and unhelpful. What a horrible experience.Reviewed Oct 15 2023

Pros:We were upgraded to a larger car at a decent price which we very much appreciated as we were traveling in a group. Staff at check in and check out were very friendly and helpful.Cons:We were given a car that made a terrible grinding noise when the brakes were applied. It was very worrisome given that we were driving through mountainous regions and the terrain was very steep. We tried getting ahold of Thrifty for 3 days to complain about the car, sometimes waiting on hold for an hour and a half at a time, before we were finally able to reach a representative who could help us. During those 3 days, we estimated that we spent collectively 7-8 hours on hold trying to reach someone who could help. It was a non-stop barrage of automated systems, transfers and holds. Very frustrating to deal with when you are on vacation. They ended up bringing us a new car which was much appreciated but we would have preferred not to waste so much time on our trip worrying about whether the brakes in our rental were going to give out.Reviewed May 25 2021

Cons:Classic “bait and switch” - booked the largest sized Land Rover- 7 Seater Discovery - well in advance. Put me in the dirtiest “beat up” Chevy Tahoe. Told me it was the same “class”. So much for ‘Covid Clean’ - it wouldn’t meet anyone’s standards of minimally clean. Don’t expect anything but LESS than you book!Reviewed May 17 2021
