I happened to be able to go in with the general boarding but was one of those who was first in line within this group. My seat which was 5C already had no overheard room!!! It appears that 1 child was accompanied by 4 adults when they pre-boarded and in addition to their carry-ons, they put their foldable stroller, backpacks and totes in the overhead bin!! The airline announced a request for people to leave the overhead bin spaces for bigger carryons but does not enforce it. Flight attendants should not feel uncomfortable actually asking to whom the backpack or tote belong to and tell passengers to put those under their seats. Somehow, passengers need to be educated on proper etiquette. Also, pre-boarding should only allow 1-2 people to accompany a child or an elderly person. Pre-boarding should not be taken advantage of by all adults traveling with those needing it."

Several people with a connection were very upset and it was an unpleasant experience. Also while up in the air, it took over an hour for seatbelt sign to go offf making it hard to wait for bathroom."

However, I had to pull the suitcase out from Alaska, paid another $25 to United and started the trip all over again. All the while, your crews expected me (an alien from Asia) that I should have known every thing get it through, or to claim my suitcase charges. I am really disappointed for the lack of understanding. To you, it may be something happened so common everyday. To me, I was totally lost to handle this."

Cons: "My flight was delayed because an attendant had to be swapped out, then the replacement was stuck in traffic for an hour (why not have all attendants ready on-airport?). Comically, we taxied on the runway for over an hour, which caused more delays with the plane needing to be de-iced. Figured I'd put all that behind me, but then the flight experienced one of the worst turbulences I've been in. We jerked through the skies many times, and the pilots weren't reassuring. Thankfully we landed okay, but not after being late by multiple hours. Also, JetBlue needs to invest in its planes, esp. its Couch section. I felt like a pretzel with on room to breathe."

That was annoying. I’m bored of the JetBlue snack selection it’s been the same for years."

Got to LA 3 hours late so had to deal with horrible rush hour traffic, which we had hoped to avoid had we taken off on time."

"I liked that once up, things ran more smoothly and we still landed on time despite a 45+ minute delay leaving the gate. The boarding process was another story. With the demand for proof of a negative COVID test prior to boarding by the US, Air France had just 2 staff members checking these tests results, collecting a paper affidavit of sorts also required by the US, and checking boarding passes and passports for an entire Boeing 777 full of passengers. There were other staff around This seemed preposterous. Then, when I finally boarded, the luggage was still be loaded onto the plane at 1:50pm for a flight schedule to leave at 1:15pm."
"I wrote a review to Delta already expressing my dislike of the fact that I could not get a seat assigned upon checkin or even at the airport until maybe 1 hr before my flight. The cabo representative (not part of the flight crew based from Los Angeles) was rude and not accommodating, so my wife and I had to sit separately, which was frustrating to say the least, given I had followed the entire online check in protocol, including uploading digital copies of my negative COVID-19 test."

I didn’t even have to sit down to smell the alcohol on him. During the flight he tried to place his head on my shoulder and tried to get close to me. I was too worried to call for an attendant because he was intoxicated but when the attendants would come and offer us food I tried to make it clearly visible that I was anxious and uncomfortable and NOTHING. To make it worse they continued to serve him alcohol!!"

This is a practice I have never seen on delta and haven't seen in aviation in almost 20 years in the US"

We were given blankets and pillows. The best thing was the ground staff getting rude after all passengers complaining. They were basically saying we should get stuffed since we were booked for a flight next day same day. This is shameful! Needless to say that I will not fly this airline again!"

I understand flights cannot wait, and I would have greatly appreciated being saved the trouble of running to a different terminal and instead taking that time to change my travel plans. And the WiFi movie scheme is way more painful than it needs to be, requiring you "check out" movies using your web browser, then switch to a separate app to actually watch the movies. Clearly the product of a company mindset whose ONLY concern is "can we check some box", with absolutely no interest in "how can we delight our customers?""
Cons: "So we get the same entertainment system all these flights use: some ghastly totally non-optimized Linux setup that was rebooted three times during the flight, took 20 minutes for each reboot, and never worked correctly after any of the reboots. (The only movie my system would ever play was the very first one, and none of the on-screen controls worked. The seat next door could choose multiple movies, but each movie froze after 40 minutes). The amazing thing is: why don't they just install a damn iPad mini or Android equivalent in the back of each seat? Would be lighter than what they have today and would work FAR better. You'd need some co-ordinating/provisioning software to provide for OTA announcements and movie updates, but basically it's not that hard... At the very least, hire a Linux-head to optimize your startup scripts! It's just sad to see this 20 minute startup process (all dumped on the screen) with its constant repetition of time-wasting startup steps that just generate errors on this plane's particular hardware setup..."
Cons: "Everything that could have gone wrong with my flights, went wrong. On my way from LA to Raleigh (through Atlanta), I was affected by the weather conditions at Atlanta. I understand that the weather is beyond Delta's scope of control, but customer service is not. I had to wait in line at LAX for 8 hours to even get information on what had happened, and what solutions were available. The customer service call center was collapsed, and at the airport counters at one point there was ONLY ONE DELTA REPRESENTATIVE serving a line of more than 100 upset customers. This IS Delta's fault, and it is unacceptable. This definitely was under Delta's control, but in order to save a few dollars in overtime for emergency staff Delta was willing to let its customers make terribly long lines, miss their flights, their connections and consequently their commitments. It is disappointing to observe how Delta believes that a few dollars saved on extra staff and emergency measures can offset the irreparable long term damage to its business due to upset customers. My way back from Raleigh to Los Angeles was also a disaster. Without any type of explanation and nothing more than an email announcing the change, the nonstop flight I bought was replaced by a 1-stop flight with connection in Atlanta. This was NOT THE PRODUCT I PURCHASED. There is a reason I paid a premium for a nonstop flight, and Delta did not hesitate in providing me with a less valuable product without any explanation or refund. Delta prioritizes its operational metrics - an obsession to fill and overbook its capacity - over its customers' experience, one again under the foolish belief that short term savings in any way offset the long term damage of disappointed and alienated customers. I will NEVER FLY DELTA AGAIN. I will do whatever I can to transmit my experience to everyone I know. At a time where major airline carriers are in the spotlight due to abusive practices (i.e. the United passenger case), I still find hope in knowing that alternatives such as Southwest still put their customers first, over the ethereal benefits that a few-dollar savings in operational expenses can provide."

It was finally 9:52pm before we even took off from SFO. While idling, the cabin started to reek of jet fuel, and people started coughing and sneezing. Upon landing at LAX at 10:46pm, we were told that there was no gate for us, and that we would have to wait for an amount of time that kept changing every time there was an announcement. The toxic jet fumes started to permeate the cabin again, and people started coughing and sneezing in response. Ultimately it is 11:21pm by the time we reached our gate. At this point, the jetway was broken/failed to open, but despite this, the air conditioning was switched off and pax crowd the aisles without direction. Finally we managed to escape at 11:31pm."

The LAX SPIRIT team made me consolidate into one bag (which I did earlier) and then charged me an outrageously high fee for a small, 18" roll on that fits under the seat! SPIRIT is inconsistent in their service/policies airport to airport. They have lost me as a customer based on how they nickel and dime their customers with inconsistent policy enforcement of their policies. This industry continues to bulldoze the customer and makes air travel beyond painful."

I woke up at 5:00 AM, left the house at 5:30 and got to the airport, attempting to check in at 6:18 am for a 7:00 am flight. I was told by an extremely rude agent, that the cut off was at 6:15 am. I was floored. My plane wasn't even boarding yet and there was barely a security line at that point in the morning. Also, I was only three minuntes after the cutoff. She looked at the clock and told me, well not it's already 6:22 and we cut off the check ins on time. You can take the next available flight. At 7:00 PM, for an additional $99. It was Monday morning and I ended up missing half the day of work and spending an additional $230 to fly Southwest out of Burbank. I didn't even get a refund or credit for my flight. I've never been treated so rudely (I spared the details) and I've flown many times back and forth between LA and the Bay and never missed a flight for any reason. I will never fly spirit airlines again and I've told all my friends and family (and ineveitabke my coworkers as well given the circumstances) and many of them are also not going to be flying inn spirit any longer. The airline is not even a discount compared to southwest flights and its way less convenient, on top of the terrible service and credit card pitch once you're onboard. Tasteless, cutthroat, and intentionally confusing and punitive with charges. You might think you are getting a bargain with Spirit, when actually you are getting way more BS than you bargained for."

The plane was full, the air was hot and stanky, and there was no air circulation. Add to that their thin crappy seats that had to be designed by Josef Mengele, and the cabin crew who were more interested in selling us snacks and Spirit Air credit cards than our comfort... Lesson learned. Stay away from Spirit Air. Never again."

And when I got to the airport with a small carry on bag ( only half full at that . ) I was forced to pay $55 to carry it on. My ticket was $98 to start. On the return I was a little wiser and only paid $45 for the carry on bag.... But do the math.... This "cheap flight cost 100% more than I thought it was going to. And at $200 for the round trip, I was just stupid not to fly at my primary airport direct to LAX. Thus I ended up paying more, wasting a lot of extra time, being pissed off and now my return flight is delayed by 2 hours on a 1 hour flight. All in all, this will very likely do more than cause me to look at the fine print...."

Cons: "For my outgoing flight, my front pocket magazine holder in front was pretty covered in some stain that I couldn't recognize but was sticky to the touch. I knew they hadn't really cleaned the plane. I didn't really open that magazine holder because it was covered by this large stain. My return flight was changed several times due to mechanical issues but I appreciate that Kayak sent updates via email. It was 70% likely not to fly but ended up flying maybe 3 hrs later (good that they made sure to be safe than sorry) but I just couldn't wait to find out overnight that it would be cancelled at the airport, so I had to reschedule my flight for the next day and find housing and transportation again. I overheard other passengers complained out loud even on the initial flight to OAK airport that they would not travel with Spirit again, but I had more issues with my return flight than my outbound flight. All in all, I think you get what you pay for but this was probably not the best experience."

(It is also ridiculous that they would charge to print a boarding pass at the airport or to reserve a seat, luckily I avoided both of those things). The agent kept trying to hang up on me before I was sure the issue was resolved. I am only 5'6'' and my knees were pressed against the seat in front of me. I did not enjoy the frequent verbal or visual ads during the flight. It was the worst airline I have ever taken and I will never again take a trip with them again or recommend them. I feel cheated."

Cons: "Customer service skill: NONE I was already warned about that airline... I regret not listening to my son about how bad they handle issues... NEVER AGAIN WILL I BOOK THAT AIRLINE!"
Pros: "Cheap flight, just don't bring a carry on.. anything that fits under the seat is not charged. (purse, back pack etc) but if you use the overhead it's 40 dollars or up to 100 dollars if you don't pay in advance. Checked in suitcase booked online was 35 dollars, it must be under 41 pounds. So if you know all these things in advance, it's a GREAT deal! 35 dollars from Oakland to LAX one way. Flight was on time, I brought my own water bottle on board. Great for low fare, short flights. Don't expect anything, folks for a cheap flight. I would sit on the floor for a cheap flight to L.A!! who freaking cares."
Cons: "I had my boarding pass on my cell phone, but the security gate scanner cannot read Spirit passes electronically. I asked an Spirit agent to print my boarding pass, and she DECLINED to help. We went into a 20 minutes argument, and at the end, she called the boarding gate and told to leave since I was unable to pass without my boarding pass printed. The superviser showed up, but was of no help. At I needed was a boarding pass printed, to be able to pass the security gate. I lost my flight because of their incapability."
Pros: "the cleanliness of the aircraft"
Cons: "all the added fees- the seats were uncomfortable- the gate agent was terrible in Oakland- not even water was offered as a complimentary item and the ticket price didn't make up for all the extra costs."

Cons: "Was extremely shocked and disappointed that we had to pay $55 per carry-on...no warning when I booked. I knew we would be charged for checked bags but I have never heard of being charged for carry on...,at $55 per bag next time I'll book a bigger airline that doesn't charge as by the end of it the cost is the same...Need to be more clear up front what the charges are..."
