On the return flight I was give. A huge hassle because I had a carry on and a personal article. Avianca wanted me to check in my carry on but my flight landed in Miami at 2:30am. The reason I took a carry on was so that I would not have to wait for suitcase. Would never fly with them again. They can keep their credit as far I am concerned."

Cons: "The original flight was booked to dec 11th 2016 at 10:20am. On dex 9th at about 10pm i got a text message and email telling that my flight was rescheduled and asking me to call Avianca. So i did, and my new flight was booked to leave 2:18pm, arriving in Salvador at night. I asked for options, they offered me a flight at 6am and another at 8:30 am. I said that i would talk to my party and return the call, and we choose the 8:30 flight. When i called back, they said this flight had only 3 seats (we were a party of 6 adt, 1 chd and 2 inf). In the avianca site they were offering the flight for the whole party, but, of course, with a higher rate that i paid in june. The person said she coulndt book it for me, and i should call the SAC (client service) to try to solve the problem. I called the SAC and after 40min in the phone they were able to put everybody on the desired flight. I felt that they were trying to rebook us on a cheaper flight, letting the seats with highest fares to be sold to someone else. Since it was their fault the flight changing, i think it was a bad experience in my first flight with Avianca. Probably will avoid them in the future."

Pros: "There were many delays and cancellations due to bad thunderstorms at LGA. Despite a few hours delayed (because the airport was closed due to the storm), the flight was still schedule to leave! I was very happy about that. They did issue waivers for those who could not make the later time. Once delta got the ok to fly.. The flight left the gate very fast and we arrived and exited the plane super fast too. The process was so efficient and quick, I did not feel the waiting period. The flight attendance were so happy and positive, they made he flight very enjoyable. Great job delta!"

My pregnant wife and I made it to the gate 4 minutes before the scheduled departure and they told us the plane was already gone and there was no way for us to get on the plane. Our bags did make it to Sioux Falls, so my wife didn't have her prenatal vitamins, , we had no clean clothes and we were forced to spend the night in Atlanta. The saddest part of yet another terrible experience with Delta was that they offered us a "discounted" room at a terrible Howard Johnson for $72. I looked online and the same hotel was $65 to book on Kayak. So basically Delta was trying to scam us after they screwed us. Thanks Delta! Instead we paid $200+ to stay at an airport hotel. Every time I fly Delta I regret it, yet occasionally I get forced to take their awful airline to get somewhere I need to go. It never fails to add another bad Delta experience to my long list of failings from this SAD!!! airline."

Cons: "The flight attendants were uniformly rude and nasty to passengers from start to finish. As I boarded, I asked for a piece of art to be stored in the wardrobe compartment. This was treated as an inconvenience. During and after boarding, flight attendants addressed passengers rudely when encouraging them to take their seats in a timely fashion. Later, when my seat mate politely asked a FA to repeat the food options, she asked, "Excuse me?" several times and seemed very irritated to have to repeat the choices for him. Also, near the end of the flight, a pillow was on the ground and a FA asked those seated in my row to pick it up. We responded that it wasn't ours and she said something to the effect of, "Oh yeah? So how did it get there?" (Maybe because someone else dropped it and we didn't notice?) The FAs seemed irritated to serve passengers at all. Each time they passed through for beverage or meal service, I felt like I was imposing on them. I have never witnessed anything quite like it. Makes me wonder why they were all so upset and and felt it appropriate to speak and act disrespectfully toward customers. (Delta, do you have any insights?) I hope they all got a good night's rest after that haul."

To make matters worse, the gate agents didn't make announcements even if just to say we know this isn't good and we will update you asap even if just to tell you we are still waiting on word. Total silence and seeing the gate agents laugh and talk amongst each other was pretty bad."

Also, the chair (maybe because it was the exit row) would not recline. This was pretty terrible for a red eye flight. I asked the flight attendant if I could switch seats, (well before take off) I didn’t mind if it was a middle seat, just somewhere I could have my bag with me... she rudely remarked that the plane was late and I needed to sit back down. Terrible service, it was a simple request. I’m sure someone with long legs would have been happy to switch with me. I also don’t like that my carry on bags had a weight limit."

Pros: "The flight was a Delta code share. It said non stop even though we had to change planes in Monterrey. It was unclear which terminal the flight departed from. A fellow passenger was given a boarding pass JFK to Guadalajara. In Monterrey they wouldn’t let him go through security. We went to the gate to find an agent to help. Of course there wasn’t one. I asked security to,page an agent. One arrived several minutes later, seemed to understand, and escorted him through security. On our return, the email I received to check in for the flight said we were flying JFK to Guadalajara. In fact we were flying the opposite. Clumsy and confusing. The food was dreadful (at least there was some?). The service onboard was courteous but not friendly. All four flights departed and arrived late. The jet bridge wouldn’t work on our arrival back at JFK and we were stuck on the plane another 30 minutes."

At one point before boarding, asked if we could be put on another flight and reimbursed and could not get a straight answer. Big part of the delay was luggage being sorted out to remove the bags of passengers they oversold flights too. It's been one of the longest days ever."

Many people lost connections and it was not clear by Aeromexico crew where they needed to go to get their new tickets."

Cons: "Took 2 hours for the bags from our plane to get to the belt. Landed at 10:30pm and didnt get our luggage until about 12:45. There was 2 planes that landed right after us and all their baggage was on the belt within 10 minute!"

I stuffed my arms in my shirt and let my hair down for warmth. Also, I learned my lesson. Pack my own blankie for comfort. I checked my carry on in Aruba due to overhead capacities. My bag had my sweatshirt and the blankie Delta bankie I acquired when I flew from SFO to ATL."

Even the boards showed the 8:55 pmflight had already departed.... At 5pm. Finally made it to customer service and they gave us the gate number and confirmed the flight didn't leave until 8:55. Then the flight got delayed 20 minutes. No problem, but after boarding we sat in the cramped and poorly cushioned seats for 45 minutes before takeoff because the plane needed servicing. Air jets would not turn off and my husband, who had a window seat, was freezing due to cold air constantly blowing around his feet. When we got off the plane he could barely feel his feet."

Arrival time was meant to Be 10:30pm and we arrived around 1:30am."

She said 300 pesos or 25 U.S., and when I told her to charge my visa in pesos, she said it was going to be charged in U.S, which comes out to more. She never gave me a receipt for the charge. When she was checking my boarding pass and passport, she didn't even look at me or acknowledge me."

Cons: "Disappointing and awful. My flight got 5.5h delayed before even leaving. I was not even notified about that. I hope to receive a refund because it was the biggest inconvenine Air Canada has ever caused me."

A customer complained about a small child and the child and parent were moved to behind my seat. After an hour of the toddler kicking my seat I asked to be moved to any other seat on the plane. Was told too bad, nothing they could do. Spent the 8 hour flight being kicked and listening to yelling."

Cons: "I get it, weather happens, but airlines should have figured out by now how to make any issues that come from that as painless as possible. Air Canada did not have it together. There was little communication and coordination. People had to wait multiple times in ungodly long lines while agents spent way too much time with each customer. There was misinformation and lack of information given by agents and at times no one to help at all. When there's weather it should be all hands on deck until the effected customers get to where they need to be. Otherwise it's an aggravating and nearly intolerable experience. Commercial airlines have been around for 60+ years - figure it out already."

Pros: "The flight was one of the more uncomfortable flights I've taken across the Atlantic, and I fly multiple times per year. The flight attendents were nasty, sarcastic, and unkind. I heard them bickering between themselves throughout the flight, which was very uncomfortable to hear as a passenger. The kosher food was barely edible. The seats were small and uncomfortable. I am under 5'5" and on the small side, and I could barely fit in my seat. I will think twice before flying Air Canada again, and I will tell other people about my experience."

Cons: "Did not fly Air Canada from Phoenix to Toronto; flew much cheaper version "Rouge". Flight was delayed more than 40 minutes in Phoenix while cargo rearranged, making us late for connection in Toronto (1.5 hour layover initially). Stewardess told us we could make flight if we ran through airport, but when we got to the gate, we were told that we had been rescheduled on another flight 2 days later! Crew on flight did not tell us this. We did manage to get another flight to Frankfurt 2 hours later on Air Canada, then to Barcelona on Lufthansa, arriving 8 hours later than originally scheduled. Rouge flight had fewer amenities than Southwest and less legroom. Did not know what were getting when booked flight -Will never fly Rouge again!"
