I was surprised to see that the short-haul flights had better screens than the long-haul flights. I was on a 3 1/2 hour flight each way from Dubai/Delhi with beautiful screens but the long-haul each way from Dubai/Seattle had the crappy screens."

I am most disappointed in their lack of effort to assist us in getting home and they really showed no concern. I will never fly this airline again."

All throughout the duration of the flight no one go for the extra mile to assist me as I was alone with a toddler. I have to ask for the bassinet 3x and it took them a long time. No one gave us the toddler meal which I ordered previously. I thought emirates was a better airline than qatar airways but I was gravely mistaken. Even China southern can do better than that. Horrible."

We have not traveled very much internationally and wanted to schedule our flights to arrive close to the time my daughter and son-in-law were arriving from Colorado to Cancun on their flight. We had booked this flight especially because of the closeness of the two arrival times. When we got to the airport to check in for flight we were told that the flight was overbooked and that we were being put on a Aeromexico flight that had to go through Mexico City with an arrival time in Cancun that was 4 to 5 Later than originally planned. My daughter and son-in-law were just about to board their flight in Denver to Cancun and had to scramble to arrange transportation to be able to meet us at the airport so that they didn’t have to wait for five hours in Cancun for us. We were only compensated with $14 that expired the same day to use in the airport for a wat later than originally planned. I did not like that I had to offload some of my belongings out of my checked luggage. This was especially inconvenient as I had to deplane in Guatamala and go through their customs and security procedure all to get on the same plane 3 not so easy to get to gates over. And me with a broken toe, you can see how this would be not fun especially because I did not have any boarding pass or other information even telling me what gate I should be boarding at. It was really a small miracle that another passenger found someone to ask and I overheard the gate #. Stressful."

First, flight was delayed until 2pm, then 4pm, 6:30pm and finally 8:15pm. They could have told us to leave and come back at 8pm.We were there since 8am and many passengers even earlier. I was with my 6 year old daughter. I got tired of requesting a charger for my cell to be able to use it for work reasons and they kept IGNORING me and would not even make the effort. Never again Avianca."

Cons: "The landing was horrifying. After being on many commercial flights over the years I have never felt this way about a flight experience. The pilot seemed very inexperienced nor skilled at landing. The plane first took a plunge leaving everyone grabbing their seats in fear. The plane was going way too fast as we then continued descending while the plane tilted to the side and then the nose of the plane tipped downwards. To best describe the situation, the plane was completely out of control. Everyone around me was frightened and talking about the awful experience. Flight attendants nor the pilot made any mention of what happened nor did they make an announcement to make passengers aware that there may be some difficulty landing. Therefore passengers were left to wonder what really happened but it seemed as if this was the first time the pilot had flown a plane. After the landing I was sick for the rest of the day with nausea. I would like a refund and will report this matter to the FAA for answers and I believe they should investigate what happened on this flight for safety matters. I did not feel safe at all, and I have never had an experience like this. I'm afraid to ever fly AVIANCA again."

On my way back from barranquilla to miami, i was excatly 4 minutes late, they refused to let me on the flight, which was not even boarding yet (1 hour away from flight time). They forced me to buy a one-way flight back, with connecting flight, for $550. I don't know if this even going to make any difference, or even be read, for that matter, but i thought i would relay that to other customers who are thinking about flying with avianca."

Cons: "I have no complaints about the actual flight. My problem is that I flew from Miami to Barranquilla Colombia. I checked one bag which had a lock on it. Nobody told me to remove it. When the bag arrived in Barranquilla it was wrapped in a plastic bag. Upon opening it the bag was open and my belongings tossed around. The lock was gone, one zipper was missing and the other zipper was damaged. Couldn't close the bag. Made a complaint in Barranquilla at the Avianca desk. They gave me another bag. Made another complaint over the internet at Avianca.com. Let see if they reimburse me."

Cons: "My office in UK needed to change my departure day electronically. She was told she needed (for complex reasons) to go to London to do this - ridiculous as we live on the Isle of Wight. The other option was I needed to go to the airport to change it and pay supplement. Luckily it was only a 30min taxi ride from my hotel. The desk staff could see the issue and resolved the problem within 20mins - extremely helpful. A shame this could not be sorted in UK by phone and email"

Cons: "When my flight with American Airlines cancelled, I felt so panicked because I needed to be in Florida on Saturday night. But thankfully, lady who works for American Airlines solved my problem on the phone in couple of minutes easily. After that, when we were boarding to the aircraft, there was a cabin attendant lady. She came to us and ask me and my mother if we can talk English.I answered her with yes we can, but she demands to talk with my mother. And English is not her native language, but it doesn't prove that she doesn't know it. She tried to ask questions to her like, "where were you today?" so we couldn't really understand the reason for her to ask those questions in the first place. So we couldn't really say anything. While we were talking about my mother's English, the all aircraft was watching us, and trying to figure out what was going on. After all, she made us to sit there and wait her to replace us with other passengers. We waited the whole aircraft to be seated, then she took us to another seat with my mother. I can understand that it is her job but I'm not sure, if it had to be that much discomfort. We got pretty upset about it and it affects our flight quality. Plus, while cabin crew serving beverages, they didn't really ask us anything. We needed to call them for our order. To be honest, I would never flight with Delta. It was a disappointment."

Upon boarding they didn’t let me board because I needed a paper ticket and a QR code nobody told me about. Your employee decided to just take me out of the flight instead of fixing the issue. She put me on a red flight. That alleged QR code Could have been completed on the plane since I am fully vaccinated. Horrible experience throughout. Your employees are on our parent and rude"

He was requesting a document aside from the required negative covid test results to enter the US. On the first leg, a shorter flight, there was a screen on the back of each seat for easy viewing. On the next leg, which was the longer flight, there were only occasional drop down screens that were more difficult to view dependent upon where you were seated."

Then we were told we could get a Copa voucher to use for other Copa flights for having to cancel our booking and rebook with another airline as a 48 hour change to our flight made flying with Copa not doable for us. But the website kept telling us we had a voucher that was sent to our email but despite repeated attempts it never came through. And spent hours trying to get through to someone on the phone to sort it out with no success ever getting through. My advice. NEVER EVER FLY WITH COPA."

We did not see a regular "high placed" sign for Copa which caused us to make two circuits until we saw the street side sigm which is in a nondescript area and easy to miss. My entertainment touch screen was not responsive and sticky. It froze twice. However after bringing it to the attention of the crew, they did make the effort of resetting it. In this regard I highly commend the very tall FA who was a credit to his profession. It still had problems but did work somewhat. I will add that in all my prior experiences in which this problem occurs the FA's are too busy, or forget to reset the entertainment system, so I happy that he did. The interior did not seemed to be very clean there were food stains on the pull out tray and no in flight magazine in my seat pocket. the cabin crew was nice, youngish but did not have enough personality to tell off passengers doing things that they shouldn't out of common courtesy like the passenger seated next to me playing Chinese language videos out loud on his i phone. The same group spent a lot of time burping and then spending an inordinate length of time picking their teeth with wooden toothpicks which did not make for a pleasant scene. I almost lost my appetite seeing which what vigor they went at it, what were they expecting to find? They would then spit the residue in the air making me a bit nauseous. The food was dire especially the two melted cheese/beef/chicken sandwiches served near the last third of the trip. The main lunch ravioli meal served earlier was not bad. The bottom line is that the flight was uneventful with nothing to note, but there is definite room for improvement."

There was more leg room than most other domestic air travel companies I have been on. There was no upgrade charge for every little thing, such as blankets, pillows, etc. We were fed on each flight, and alcoholic beverages were at no additional charge. The exit tax to leave Costa Rica was included in our ticket, which I was not aware of until I was leaving the country. (nice surprise). Over all, most other airline companies in the USA have made changes that improve their bottom line, but they have completely ruined any favorable aspect of traveling with their airline (American Airlines, Frontier, Southwest, Delta, etc). Copa has done a great job of providing great service and cost for travelers. Please do not change your business strategy by removing some of the above mentioned benefits I enjoyed in order to improve your profit margin. It is refreshing to know there are still air carriers out there that retain the service that is hoped for by most travelers. Also, Roxana and her entire flight crew were outstanding. Thank you , I will fly with you anytime I have the chance."

So stressful!!! 2) In transit passengers catching connecting flights, Copa to Copa, have to go through their security again! What, why?? We cannot eat, drink and relax at the gate because no fluids are allowed AT YOUR GATE. We are not talking ourtside security, you are already in the security areas. Even to go to the bathroom you have to go in and out of security, again! Stupid!! We didn't leave the terminal, and you're making us miserable!"

Pros: "The fare was relatively low so I was not expecting much beyond safe transit between Costa Rica and Panamá. I was pleasantly surprised by the robust flight crew that all seemed knowledgeable, very friendly, and professional. I particularly enjoyed the quick and easy check in, no extra charges for my very large checked item, in flight entertainment via headrest screens, ample leg room and storage, and the ability to charge my phone during the flight via USB. Even though I was a passenger in coach, we were provided a light snack and free alcohol and beverages during the short flight. All in all, even as a very frequent traveler, Copa surpassed my expectations. I will definitely fly with them again."
Cons: "The only thing I felt could be improved was the boarding process and signage. I was originally in an exit row seat but was unexpectedly relocated as I boarded. The explanation was quite vague, even though I asked the gentleman to repeat himself twice, but overall the change was fine. I only wish I had been notified earlier at the check in desk rather than holding up the line of passengers behind me."

I sat there for 15-20 minutes while he moved the ropes around (for the line), set up his mouse, found a mouse pad and set that up, found signs to put up at the desk and made sure they were in the right spot. He was on the computer for a good 5 minutes writing notes on a paper. I waited patiently, but was getting really annoyed that he couldn't look up my seat quick and then go back to setting his desk up. Finally, he took my ticket, did not apologize for my wait or thanked me for being patient, and just said he had no seats. I waited 20-minutes, which then I didn't have time to eat before we boarded the plane. I was extremely disappointed in him telling me he'd help, did not communicate that I needed to wait for him for that long and then wasn't nice enough to thank me for waiting. Incredibly disappointed in this service."

There was confusion and all the families rushed the gate. could have been managed much better."
