When I called the customer no service line they told me i have get that done at the airport. I got to the air port early and they said you have to get that done at the gate but you can upgrade if you want. When i went to the gate they said you have to wait until 30min before the fight but you can upgrade. These are just shady sales techniques."

Pros: "The one good thing about this unexplained ordeal (the flight was delayed for 5 hours, causing me to miss my connection) was that, after a few hours of hearing nothing (no emails or texts from Delta), I finally saw some options for different flights pop up, so I was able to book a new flight without calling India. Also, I got an exit row seat on my new flight to MSP."

Spent 30 minutes trying to find a number to someone at Delta to check in & select seat. I was in Australia & all Delta offices were closed because it was Sunday. Although I had an internationally calling plan, no calls to Delta US would go through. finally found someone through a back channel that would help me. We boarded an hour late, and staff would not answer any of our questions about what was going on or how late we would arrive (they sped up the fight so that we landed on time). Flight ran out of drinking WATER after the first service. Half of our section (Economy Plus) was skipped for snacks. An unruly child was allowed to scream for almost the entire flight & was running up & down the aisles. NOTHING was said to the parents by staff members. Was absolutely the worst behaving child with who I've had to fly."

I therefore was unable to board my flight on time, got switched to a new flight and the new flight was delayed for 3.5 hours."

Pros: "I'm an American ex-pat who travels to and from between the US and Australia. I do whatever I can to fly on Australian rather than American airlines, as they are always much better in every regard. But in this case it wasn't feasible, and I found myself on a Delta flight. I'd say the overall experience was somewhere between okay-good. Nothing major to complain about, but nothing to rave about either. The entertainment options were decent. I appreciated the variety of newly released movies. However, I would have liked a greater selection of TV shows, and the availability of more episodes. I also appreciated the availability of internet access, but I don't understand why it has to be quite *so* pricey. Surely they could make a bit more on greater volume if they dropped the price a bit. I didn't purchase access, but I would have if it were 40-50% cheaper. The comfort of the plane seemed the same as any of the alternatives. Boarding and deplaning were as they should be."
Cons: "The service from the crew though was simply ok. They were just friendly enough not to be rude, but no more than that. Virgin Australia and Qantas consistently have much happier crews, who make you feel like a dignified guest, even in economy. The food was average at best, and they served two meals where the Australian airlines would serve three on the same flight. They also offered less in the way of snacks and drink refills. It seemed like they were cutting corners here, which I don't appreciate on a 15 hour flight. Also, they said they "proudly serve Starbucks coffee". After drinking it, I don't think they should be proud of that! Again, overall it was a decent experience. Nothing flashy, but nothing too bad either. If the costs are comparable for your flight, you should certainly choose one of the Australian carriers. You'll get better service from the crew and better food. The one caveat, however, is that Delta has WiFi, whereas at the date of writing this, the Australian carriers do not. While access is exorbitant, if you really need to get some work done on the plane, you might choose Delta for this reason alone."

When I first received my boarding pass, the pass listed gate A24 as the one where my flight was scheduled to depart. The plane destined to depart from Dallas to LAX did not show up. However, a few of us were kindly offered a cot and blankets to sleep on. The next morning I folded the cot and the blankets and found an American Airline staff member who swiftly rescheduled me for another flight to LAX. She did state that the original flight had departed at 11:15 p.m."

There was never a flight to depart from Gate 24 to Los Angeles. I believe the gate may have been changed and for some reason, those who were at Gate 24 were not informed. Also, the travel instructions on the advertisement for scheduling the flight mentioned the ability to carry on luggage for no additional charge. When I received my boarding pass, it stated I was only allowed to carry on baggage that would fit underneath the seat and not in the overhead bin. I had to pay to check my baggage that I thought was free. In spite of the changes, the flight was a good flight. Thank you"

Several minutes later, they announce that there's a medical emergency and EMTs are on the way. Said EMT comes down the aisle with a wheelchair. I assume they took that passenger off the back, because they didn't come back by me. We finally leave the gate only to find that the weather we were supposed to get out ahead of had now rolled in, and we're stuck on the taxiway for an hour and a half. Once we finally got airborne, things went well. When we arrived at LAX, we parked in a remote area and had to bus to the terminal. So, while none of this was really anything American could have prevented, it made the flight more of an ordeal."

Didn't have buttons for fast forward or rewind, so had to guess on the timeline when I wanted to see something I missed. Then the flight map kept resetting to a mode other than what I wanted. I know these are first world problems, and they in no way affected the safety of the flight, but I expect more."

Overall, I don't think it was the airlines fault but the airports fault at LAX, however all of these thing combined made it a less enjoyable flight/experience."

This causes huge problems for already cranky travellers and slowing down your process of clearing your planes. No wonder air rage has been in the news so much lately. Loud crew with obnoxious lights on during a very delayed flight that became a red eye. Why pay more for seats near the loud crew who doesn't take in the fact that we're all tired. You want to sell food? Choose better items. My $3.99 coffee could at least have more than a powder non-dairy creamer. Flight price is so deceiving when you charge for everything on top of it, including where I sit. Lame, awful, corporate money grubbing mentality. I'll stick with southwest (I later learned they had had fewer options for once because they actually considered that a runway was closed)."

Pros: "I am an easy going person and thought my expectations for air travel were low enough but this flight proved me wrong. After paying for the flight, then paying for your bags, and then paying to choose a seat, an extra $120 later, you are finally on the plane. The new seats are paper thin, the trays are the size of a trashy paper back novel, the arm rests are hard chunks of plastic that barely allowed room for an elbow. Being six feet tall I often feel a bit more cramped than others, i expect this, but this was the worst I can remember. In addition to the seats being the thickness of a potato chip, they do not recline (I was told they are "pre-reclided") and the seat backs are short which left my head bobbing well above the back of the seat. Meanwhile, my knees are firmly smashed up against the seat in front of me, preventing me from slouching at all to allow my head a place to rest. Then there was my polite request for a cup of water, "we have bottled water for $2". All beverages are for purchase only. There will be no sleep or comfort on this 2 hour flight, enjoy and thanks for flying."

Cons: "I was helping my mother - in - law check in and board - she needed wheel chair assistance. We were in line to drop off a bag that we had checked in online an hour before the flight. There were 5 people in the line with only 2 reps helping. Since I hadn't printed the boarding pass, I tried to print the pass at the self-help kiosks getting the message that I needed to see an agent. The cut-off for checked in baggage is 45 mins before the flight, however the reps were making no effort to expedite the service. In 15 mins they had helped 2 people making us the 3rd in line and the line had grown to an additional 5-6 people behind us. 45 mins before the flight they refused to take in any bags for checking - in. Since I was able to take the checked in bag with me, I asked that the agent print the boarding pass for my mother in law and call for wheel chair assistance. The agent called for wheel chair assistance but refused to print the boarding pass! The one thing that the ticketing / check in agent should be able to do is to print a boarding pass for a reservation that is fully paid. Because of this my mother in law had to miss her flight and we paid an additional $99 to get onto the next flight. I was so taken aback when the agent refused to print the boarding pass, that I did not even know how to convince her to do her job. This is probably the worst experience I have ever had with any airline!"

We took an Uber to the airport, waited in security for over an hour, and made it to our gate. Were there for about 5 minutes then Frontier said our flight was cancelled. They knew from the start that it was cancelled and they wasted our time. We could have been at home trying to reschedule our flight. They also could not get it us to Los Angeles. We had to reschedule to Las Vegas, rent a car there and drive in. DON'T FLY FRONTIER. I have heard so many similar stories. They also nickel and dime you for everything. Their seats don't recline, they charge you for any drink, I'm surprised they don't make you swipe your credit card to go to the bathroom."

Cons: "We were at the Houston airport almost 3 hours before flight time, but no one was at the ticket counter. 45 minutes later the ticket agent arrived then told (not asked) us to move aside so they could check in passengers on an earlier flight. I completely understand the earlier flight thing, but common courtesy goes a long way! The gate agent was quite curt in his attempts to board people by boarding groups. The flight crew was tired, bored and just doing a job. Frontier will not be at the top of the list for future flights."
