Boarding was a breeze. I like that they offered to check carry-ons. Considering we already had checked luggage it just made things that much easier. Drink options were good. I especially liked the bloody Mary mix with the lime packet. That was so delicious! Used to traveling other airlines where they have individual screens for each seat. Alaska does it different and you have to have your own device in order to access their media content.

It was my first time flying with Alaska and it was great. The best landings!

Flight attendant in first class could be more friendly .. she looked annoyed throughout the flight and didn’t seem like she wanted to be. Need work in the customer service department. Same for my outbound flight. Otherwise the flight was on time and got to where I needed to go.

Very disappointed and unprofessional so disrespectful

The WiFi on the plane didn’t work despite them having 100s of movies and shows that would’ve been really great to watch.

No dinner was service

Pros: "Check in and flight had ample space. Very relaxing."
Pros: "Almost everything. Some highlights: Seat comfort and its design elements for smartphones and tablets, cleanliness overall, legroom, quality of service, timeliness, terminal/gate in LAX."
Cons: "I’m nitpicking: the mid-cabin economy restroom is too small. Its rubbish bin was also full and had clearly not been emptied in LAX. There weren’t any sweet snack options."
Pros: "Good chill crew"
Pros: "Efficiency"
Cons: "Having pens to fill out information upon Mexico arrival"
Pros: "Good snacks"
Cons: "Seating was no good"
Pros: "Organización y rapidez"
Cons: "Un cafe"
Pros: "Yes"
Pros: "yes"
Cons: "Pilots were 50 mins late"
Pros: "Blue, dim lights"
Pros: "Everything"
Cons: "In checking in the staff was no helpful"
Pros: "Crew was great, plane was very clean, seat did not recline that easily but no one was next to me so I cant complain."
Cons: "1) The economy section needs phone/device chargers. 2) accessing the entertainment is not easy and finally when I got to the screen to select a movie, there was this window in the middle of my screen with junk running that I couldn't get rid of so I gave up on the entertainment,"
Pros: "Plane was clean, spacious, entertainment system was great, lots of food offerings. Will fly this airline and aircraft again!"
Cons: "About time economy class has more space"
Pros: "Crew was nice Plane was comfortable, although seats were a little tight. Ordered food was good."
Cons: "Seats were a little tight. Only offered drinks one time on a long flight. Snacks for General Cabin were okay."
Pros: "We left on-time, without delays."
Cons: "There was a loud child behind me, but that has nothing to do with the airline, unless they enforced a silent cabin more."
Cons: "So, this plane was a Virgin America aircraft taken over by Alaska since the merger. My fiance and I were on a red eye non-stop to Philly from LAX. That said, the plane was in terrible condition. The seat back in front of my seat was broken and hanging down on my knees, there was no opportunity for entertainment unless you brought your own plug in headphones (none on the plane to use or purchase), we purchased upgraded seats and when we checked in the night before were told they were not available and we would be in economy (still waiting for that $200 refund 7 days later), the arm rest between our seats was broken and would not stay up, the headrest of my seat was broken and there was exposed metal, and when we purchased champagne to celebrate our vacation it was warm. One other item I noticed was the woman across the aisle's seat would not sit upright. She was asked to move to another seat for both take off and landing. Not sure if this was a Virgin America crew of Alaska, but terribly disappointed iin the crews lack of care and would not fly them again across country if this is what is to be expected."
Pros: "Everything was comfortable"
Cons: "Carry on storage was limited but the staff was accommodating"
Pros: "Flight was quick and smooth"
Cons: "Airline stewards we're not very attentive"
Pros: "The Flight Staff was incredibly kind, and in-flight entertainment had a great selection of content"
Pros: "I would definitely fly Alaska airlines again!"
Pros: "I loved that the flight was on time, service was great and everyone was friendly and informative."
Cons: "The morning flight didn’t have much food available. The headphone AUX Jack was broken, so I couldn’t hear the movies available. Coach seating was tight."
Pros: "Everyone is so nice. Easy & reasonable price."
Cons: "Nothing."
Pros: "I liked the price of my ticket. I liked the app. I felt like the plane was clean and very comfortable."
Cons: "I didn’t like that both my flights were over booked so boarding took a lot longer then I expected. I didn’t like that the on board ordering system offers free earbuds, yet the flight attendant said they did not have any. When I boarded my return fligh, the flight attendant that was supposed to be creating us was scrolling through her phone didn’t even make eye contact. When I was getting off of the plane. That same flight attendant was sitting in a first class seat scrolling through her phone again, she did look up to thank us though. Overall the plane was nice, but the I wasn’t disappointed with the flight attendants service"
Cons: "After going through full service to pay my pet fee, I get told at the gate that I need to buy a different carrier because my pet could not move around. I have had this same pet carrier for over 5 years and have been traveling with it. My pet is only 4 1/2 pounds 5 at its max sonthe carrier I have works perfectly fine. I was told to step out the line....made wait til the very very end til the plane was about to leave to be let on. This was an inconvenience as I was all set to go."
Pros: "Service was great! Everything was on time!"
Cons: "I was so comfortable that I fell asleep and missed the snack cart go by."
Pros: "Clean plane Polite staff Punctual"
Cons: "Nothing"
Pros: "It was excellent. They even waived the baggage fee!"
Cons: "Nil"
Pros: "I was very sad to see Virgin Airlines was bought by Alaska Airlines but I’m happy to see they are still using Virgin planes. The planes are spacious and we love the onboard entertainment! Thanks Alaska Airlines!!"
Pros: "service excellent"
Cons: "Alaska lounge sub standard"
Pros: "Nothing."
Cons: "They separated my seat with my 2 years old son, far far away. My 2 yo son got the seat in row 13 while mine was row 23. Then the front desk staff could only help to switch to row 12 and row 13. We’re still not together. That’s horrible. Then when we got on the plane, I asked people around if they don’t mind to switch their seats, but still not working well. The flight attendants didn’t help at all. Just saying, “this is the best we can do.” What did they do? They didn’t even help me to work it out. Then one of the front desk staff came onto the plane and help me out. My son and I finally sit together. But the overall experience sucks! Alaska Airlines needs to train their crew to have more emphatic to the passengers."
Cons: "Flight was delayed and while watching a movie, there were many interruptions ( announcements )."
Cons: "It was a good flight, can't help mother nature with the turbulence. Asked for headphones, and they didnt give me one. Couldn't rate the food because there were no meals given."
Pros: "Comfortable flight; free meals/snacks and beverages on premium economy."
Cons: "None that I can think of"
Cons: "We arrived at the airport 5 minutes (NO more than that) after the one hour check in time to fly international going to Mexico. We were told we had to wait in line to speak with someone to print a boarding pass. There was an extremely long line with only two employees helping. We then asked if we could get our money back being that if someone has specially helped us with our case only being 5 minutes late to check in, but they declined. We had to book an entirely different flight and still have not gotten our money back. It was very stressful and unprofessional and had someone actually helped us, we would’ve arrived at our destination at the proper time we worked so hard for. I know my boyfriend and I weren’t the only people with his problem because two other families ran into the exact same avoidable problem. It felt very unprofessional. It ruined a familys vacation and caused the poor children to cry because of the lack of accommodation. We would love our money back but not sure you guys will even do so. Very disappointing."
Cons: "I didn't make it because the flight to LAX was late and despite being told by an Avianca employee there was a later flight from LAX to PDX (at 11:45 on AlaskaAir) which I would be put on, once I arrived I was told I was on a 6 AM on Delta with no arrangement to get me a hotel or anything. I bought a separate ticket on that 11:45 flight on Alaska Air to PDX instead. Extremely unhappy with this service and will never again use it. I will also tell everyone in my social circles, in person and online, to stop using it."
Pros: "Flying Alaska airlines is always something I have a bittersweet relationship. I love almost everything that Alaska does to improve their airline. Their wifi is some of the best in the US and its very affordable. Their "picnic box" snacks are awesome and unique, better than what you will find elsewhere, they have USB and full AC outlets at every seat, and their rewards program is the best in the business. By all accounts, AlaskaAir would be my favorite airline out there. But the staff that Alaska hires is just so terrible. Everytime I fly with them, they have simply the worst staff. Pair this with some of the best features of any airline and it leaves me scratching my head on whether or not I want to fly with them or to fly with an airline like Delta which might have fewer frills, but offers much better staff to help you."
Cons: "The flight attendants were maybe the worst on any flight ever."
Pros: "Well, since you're asking, what I truly liked and enjoyed was being able to sleep comfortably undisturbed on this early morning flight from blast off to splash down. Comfy seats, no yakity-yak seat neighbors, no pesky flight attendants waking me to offer coffee, and a tidy restroom when needed. Just a happy flight. There, is that 50 words?"
Cons: "What I don't like is having to tell you what I like and don't like about taking a trip on an airline. Suffice it to say, we made it and that is never a small accomplishment for which I am always genuinely grateful and appreciative to the pilots, the crew, the engineers and builders of these large metal tubes with wings that continually and mostly consistently manage to defy the laws of gravity by propelling groups of human beings across large stretches of land and over water. Why wouldn't I be happy?"
Pros: "Good plane on time"
Cons: "I’ve got the latest iPad and software but entertainment system could not connect Only snack food for sale on an evening flight"
Pros: "I love the upgrade option to Premium class and the snack box that comes with it is great! Staff was friendly and efficient."
Cons: "Only one thing: when using the kiosk to get my boarding pass and upgrade, it doesn't specifically state to insert and quickly remove my credit card, so I'm waiting waiting waiting and nothing is happening and I start over and still nothing, so I go wait in line at the desk that solves problems only to learn that small detail and then the clerk said he couldn't take care of it for me and sent me back to the kiosk! What a pain! I'm sure I'm not the only one this has happened to. How hard is it to put clear instructions on the screen? please and thank you!"
Pros: "Alaska Airlines continues to do it rite! To my surprise, while checking in my 60 lb bag of surfboards, I was only charged $25, not the already low price of $75 I am usually charged. This new discounted price enabled me to save $100 round trip on board charges. Unlike other airlines that charge $100 Per surfboard, Alaska Airlines has implemented a program that serves the sports enthusiasts. From surfers, golfers, hunters, fisherman, and so on. Our gear goes with us for a fantastic price. Also, the food is actually pretty tasty too & the flight attendants treat you well."
Pros: "Found the crew to be friendly and relaxed. The plane was fairly new. Overall, it went fine as long as you understood it was going to be simple offerings."
Cons: "Apparent aggressiveness to get as many carry on bags paid for by the ground staff measuring with a measuring tape all bags. I've never seen anything like it. My bag was fine. Then, when they started to take fees you had to come back and pay. It wasn't done right then. The ground staff was minimally helpful. Flight amenities or not, pay for headset and having more than 2 TV shows and 2 movies cost you an up charge even on an overseas flight. One choice for dinner.- pasta so it was vegetarian. Breakfast was a sad roll, one small piece of cheese and ham, and fruit that was that questionable. Overnight flight, pillow no blanket in Economy. Seats hard and leg room was tight. Their Economy plus and business looked a much better way to go."

We couldn’t check-in online. Even though it was booked through American Airlines, none of my AA benefits carried over. The Wi-Fi and entertainment didn’t work the entire flight. The flight crew said something about a voucher but I didn’t hear anything else about it.

Annoying that every short flight is delayed over 40 minutes consistently . Why am i taking a 1 hour flight when it becomes two hours plus airport and uber time? Maybe we should all just drive??

Great experience

The worst costumer service

Like: entertainment, stewardess were nice Dislike: delayed flight, shuttle was inconvenient

Pros: "The crew was very hospitable."
Cons: "N/a"
Pros: "Nice crew. Plenty of legroom"
Cons: "The time to get the luggage to baggage claim was way longer than expected."
Pros: "Seat comfort is better than many airlines but I still felt boxed in."
Cons: "Flight crew was mediocre at best. Very abrupt and snippy when offering drinks and snacks. Flight attendant who gave disembarking instructions had difficulty with language and stuttered and stumbled with words."
Pros: "Crew inside the plane was friendly and warm, particularly Craig. Very inviting and reassuring."
Cons: "The almost 2-hour delay and gate change due to “airplane maintenance” was terrible. It did not feel as if the guests were going to be accommodated. They made few announcements about it."
Cons: "Despite the delay of almost 3 hours (which we were informed much earlier than getting to the airport at) the plane was 40% empty so can’t complain at the end of the day"
Cons: "Movie selection was minimal at best and my tv screen kept malfunctioning. Volume and brightness would turn all the way up or just shut off completely"
Pros: "It was a smooth flight"
Cons: "More food options"
Pros: "The plane was really old, possibly JetBlue's oldest still in service? Frayed around the edges, the setback TVs were really old and tiny, the trays stiff and aged."
Cons: "The interior of the plane was not updated."
Pros: "Leg room was amazing, WiFi was great and entertainment selection was wonderful."
Cons: "Our flight was delayed about 30-45 minutes. Would have been perfect if on time."
Pros: "Great entertainment, good snacks, attentive personnel that go beyond their normal duties to make your flight pleasant"
Cons: "Comfortable seats, courteous flight crew. Easy boarding and organized."
Pros: "It was my first experience & I couldn’t had enjoyed it more ! Words can’t explain"
Cons: "Nothing everything was great"
Pros: "Jet Blue planes are always great. Super clean and comfortable."
Cons: "They should have scheduled pistols for our flight. We had to delay the flight for two hours until they arrived."
Pros: "The Hawaiian themed meal/snacks"
Cons: "More free entertainment!"
Pros: "You can always count on JetBlue for good snacks and free WiFi."
Cons: "But the snacks and free WiFi is not enough to payback the delayed departure experience. Just a week prior, my JetBlue flight was scheduled on time and then three things delayed thre flight for three hours right before we took off and now this! I was told it was due to needing to replace a crew member from another delayed flight. How can that affect so many people? The seat was also super uncomfortable and the back of the cushion was rolling forward, which made it hard to sit for that long. we also didn’t have a gate when we landed so that added on an extra 30minutes. Really disappointed."
Pros: "Crew was nice. Took off on time."
Cons: "A little wobbly on the landing. Felt like I was going to be sick. Crew could maybe enforce opening up path to the gate a bit more. People that get in the way of those called to board."
Pros: "The flight crew was very nice"
Cons: "The fact that I was 3 minutes late to check my bag (due to a line and walking to the wrong counter the first time) and they would not allow me to go on my original flight and route my bag on another flight. This resulted in me and my bag getting pushed on two new flights and my overall travel time going from 4.5 hrs to 11 hrs which with a 15 month old is an eternity. Many other airlines will allow you to make exceptions when checking in late (I was still nearly 40 minutes prior to flight departure) and let me still check a bag OR allow me and my baby to stay on the same flight without the bag."
Cons: "It really comfy and safe"
Pros: "N/A"
Cons: "All"
Pros: "Free WiFi but couldn’t turn off the white screen in front of my face after done using it"
Cons: "Lack of professionalism with crew. Could not understand the overhead announcements from the one stewardess. Sounded like she had a mouthful of marbles Picked up trashonly once at the very end of flight (5 hr flight). Offered drinks n food only once. Had no earplugs for WiFi"
Pros: "The staff and good selection"
Cons: "My entertainment system did not work and the person sitting next to me took up part of my seat"
Pros: "Great crew and movie options."
Cons: "The passenger in front of me was rude, but that's not the Jetblues problem."
Pros: "I LOVED the comfort of the ample seating space and leg room, compared to American and free WiFi and movies with the individual monitors on the seat backs for every passenger. I flew Jet Blue on my return flight from LA to Boston to attend our son’s USC graduation. The flight from Boston to LA was on an American Airlines flight. The seats were super narrow with very cramped leg room. To add insult to discomfort , I learned just after take off on the American flight to LA that our dogs got loose at home and the person caring for them was frantic. I had to purchase in flight WIFI ($16/ hour $18 for the entire flight) to attend to the Lost dog issue (hugely stressful) only to learn after the flight that $300 worth of fraudulent charges occurred during the flight that my bank’s fraud department claims occurred as a result of entering my card information to purchase the internet access. That depleted the majority of our travel budget. (We live paycheck to paycheck and had pinched & saved to be able attend this special event) I was so apprehensive on the returning flight and can’t describe my relief to learn the WIFI was free. My fears dissolved as did my aching head and back as I settled into a wonderfully comfortable seat with far more leg room than my prior flight. Thanks Key Blue! You have a fan for life!!"
Cons: "Not one thing I didn’t like!!!!"
Cons: "The flight took off two hours late. We were suppose to arrive at our destination at twenty minutes after midnight, and instead did not arrive until 2:30 a.m. You felt like the pilot got on the plane when you did with no planning involved on how to get to Austin. I later learned that Jet Blue has the worst on time record of all the airlines. And you got nothing to compensate you for the inconvenience. I am really disappointed in Kayak for not making it known on our ticket that we were flying from New York to Austin on Jet Blue. When buying my tickets on Kayak, it appeared on my itinerary that all my flights were on Iceland Air. It was very confusing to me, as I don't travel very frequently. And airport staff is not very helpful when you are in this situation. Due to all the confusion, I will probably use another airline search tool for my next trip to see if I can lessen the confusion."
Cons: "Sat on the runway for over half an hour waiting for our gate to open up in Austin."
Pros: "Entertainment was great! Great selection of movies!"
Cons: "The earbuds are terrible, I personally don't do well with that style - i would do research to see what the most universal type head phones are used because these were the worst. Also the control to my entertainment was on the right side, where the middle person kept changing my channels and volume. I would have liked for it to be on maybe the left side where no one else could touch it. (I sat at a window seat) The guy next to me fell asleep and so it was super hard to get to my controller (although there is one on the computer, he was still messing with it with his elbow)."
Pros: "Everything was splendid as usual. Except for the flight attendant "serving" the bulkhead, which costs an extra $90. He consistently effectively told us to shove it when we needed the slightest thing. Never had a bad experience w/ JetBlue employees at any time. My two seatmates suffered the same rudeness, in addition to a broken tv."
Cons: "Only the aforementioned flight attendant. rkbarnettphd"
Pros: "I like only 1 thing wi - fi is working good."
Cons: "I don’t like anything. It’s a worse airline ever i take I would like to suggest never ever fly with jet blue . I go through so many problems so rude employees working at help desk . Especially steven he said he is supervisor then he says he is only shift leader instead of helping he just talking so mean guy . This is really a big story i try to put in small words ...i fly with them on march 2nd LAX to JFK my finale destination is amritsar in India because of their fault i miss my next flight . The lady help me in morning she is very mean i wanna talk to supervisor she say I’m supervisor but she is only shift leader.i forgot her name . When steven told me he is supervisor i was like"
Cons: "Everything was smooth, great flight, great entertainment, but it took over an hour for our bags to arrive at our baggage claim."
Pros: "We got to our destination on time, and fare was fair!"
Cons: "5 minutes before boarding, they announced they might be sending our airplane to another gate for a different flight and they would advise of our new departure time. This has happened 3 out of the last 4 flights we booked with JetBlue. Thankfully, they didn't switch the equipment and our flight departed with a minor delay. We've learned not to fly JetBlue if we have a connection or really need to be somewhere at the time advertised."
Pros: "The crew. The plane. The space. Everything"
Cons: "I forgot my headphones so it was a bummer to have to buy them but other than that everything was amazing! I love Jet Blue!"
Pros: "Leg room because I sat next to the emergency exit"
Cons: "Everything except leg room. First, your team never offered beverages. When I asked them about it, they said that they didn't want to wake anyone ... really? Like the whole plane? It's a red eye flight ... I'm sure most would take at least a water. Meanwhile First Class was served every two minutes for everything they wanted ... and us folks that make up the rest of the plane ... we don't count? So, everyone basically went to the fridge to get drinks. Water wasn't even offered ... huh? Also, your seats were ridiculously crammed ... extremely uncomfortable. Other than that, I'm glad we made it to New York."
Cons: "The night before my flight from Austin to Orlando, my flight got canceled. JetBlue could not get me to Orlando and I had to quickly find another flight to Orlando with another airline company. Very displeased with JetBlue's decision to cancel my flight the night before when no other airline company canceled theirs."
Pros: "I arrived 3 hours early and was able to switch to an earlier flight."
Pros: "Everything was on time. The plane was clean. Most importantly there is more leg room of Jet Blue than on all. the other carriers."
Pros: "the seats were more comfortable than many other airlines, the snacks were more plentiful. I only saw one flight attendant doing anything in coach, he kept very busy and was pleasant. There was a female attendant around but I did not see her doing anything - maybe she was first class."
Cons: "First, the pre-boarding announcements were very difficult to hear and understand. The attendant spoke way too fast so that combined with the lack of clarity of the speakers made it almost impossible to understand what was being said. I have a hearing impairment so I need my husband to tell me but he too had trouble understanding the announcements. This was somewhat true during the announcements on the plane also, but less of a problem there. Let's face it, the audio systems really make things sound garbled so it is very important to speak clearly and slowly enough. I don't know how I could travel alone."
Pros: "Very friendly crew."
Pros: "The customer service was amazing!"
Cons: "The flight was about an hour delayed."
Pros: "Never again will jet blue get a penny from me - worst flights ever !!!!!"
Pros: "The crew was fantastic as usual. I love having my own screen to watch."
Cons: "Flight was delayed a little bit but having a ton of places to plug in iPad was great."
Pros: "Nonstop flight always a plus. Ground crew at baggage check, etc. we're super helpful and friendly."
Cons: "Flight departure was delayed from JFK over an hour and returning flight from LAX delayed departure as well. Very inconvenient for the high fare price. Seems Jetblue has a history of poor time performance. Would probably not book with them again."
Cons: "The ambient lighting used throughout the cabin was too bright and stimulating to let me fall asleep in an overnight flight, should have been dimmed more or turned off. The seats did not help the comfort levels either, should have been able to recline a tad bid more. The carry-on-bag situation is getting out of control, you should crack down on people who bring too many bags or oversized bags that should be checked in instead."
Pros: "The crew kept us well informed and were extremely calm."
Cons: "We were stuck on the plane for 9 1/2 hours for a 5 hour flight. We weren't allowed to land at JFK, so we got diverted to Richmond, VA to refuel. Miserable experience."
Pros: "Mostly a great experience. I appreciated the choice of snacks, free wifi, and prompt boarding, allowing us to depart on time."
Cons: "The crew was generally unfriendly. Little acknowledgement beyond simply taking orders and following procedure - no eye contact or attempt at good service. It was the end of the day, but they made little effort at being nice."
Cons: "Not having anywhere to store my bag, or put a cup or anything. Couldn't stretch out legs under seat in front as usual. Cramped. No warning. Uncomfortable. David Shenk."

There was an enormous line at LAX trying to check in and check bags. Fortunately the staff were accommodating and allowed us to check our bags even after the deadline had passed -- but it was definitely an extremely stressful experience!

We flew First Class to LA from Denver on the Delta-branded contract airline - Sky West. On the way back, we flew First Class on a Delta Airlines owned jet, and the experience was so much better. The flights should have been comparable; but unfortunately cost-cutting by Sky West was evident.

The terminal on my ticket was different than the gate number. We went through security and had to take a 15 min shuttle to a different terminal. Why not just go through security there? There were also no attendants at the gate to discuss seat assignments. My husband and I didn’t have seats together. Try on board crew was great, but the airport experience was lacking.

Pros: "Crew"
Cons: "More arm space and leg room for cabin"
Cons: "The check in process for Delta was a chaotic mess. There was no one to assist passengers, lines were crazy long. I overheard so many people complaining about missing flights and they could not get any help. I also think the amount Delta charges for luggage was insane."
Pros: "Crew attentive, professional, appeared to be enjoying job with full plane."
Cons: "The mew food boxes in furst class taste terrible."
Pros: "The entertainment"
Cons: "The boarding"
Pros: "it's the second time delta breaks my checked bag"
Cons: "it's the second time delta breaks my checked bag"
Pros: "The crew."
Cons: "Nothing was mediocre about the crew or delta. The other passengers around us made a 4 1/2 hour flight feel like 8 hours of hell."
Pros: "Great crew. Entertainment options were good."
Cons: "Should add weather/radar to the flight tracker"
Pros: "The crew did a good job in announcing the arrival of the flight and where we are at and how far we are flying overall did an excellent job"
Cons: "If they had orange juice lol"
Pros: "The crew was amazing"
Cons: "The plane change in LA was confusing & not very clear."
Pros: "Easy boarding and very nice crew"
Cons: "Food"
Pros: "yes"
Pros: "Social distanced seating"
Pros: "Delta is the airline to fly if you have to fly (like I did) during a pandemic. They made sure at every turn we felt as safe as possible. They had passengers distanced from each other the whole time, handed out sanitizing wipes as we walked on the plane, made sure folks kept their masks on, gave us individual little baggies with snacks and water bottles that also had individual hand sanitizer packets. I felt so much more safe flying Delta on my way home to Hawaii in July than I did when I flew American Airlines on my way to the mainland in June."
Pros: "Crew was great, flight in general was okay"
Cons: "The plane itself and seating was filthy, some unknown substance fell on me from the vent above, there was a bunch of crumbs in the seat buckle that fell out all over my lap when I fastened it. I'm not sure the tray table was wiped down, or at least not very well. The in-flight tracker was completely incorrect, I was on a 4-hour flight and it read 14 hours and counting throughout."
Pros: "They left the bags at LAX. We we’re driving to Sun Valley and don’t have our ski clothes and equipment"
Cons: "Get our bags to us in the morning"
Pros: "Entertainment"
Cons: "Flight wasn't full. I could have been seated somewhere else since passenger next to me was quite large and invading my personal space"
Cons: "Good"
Cons: "... on top of that I kindly requested to speak with a supervisor and i was denied it. As a customer I deserved that. I would a ticket with Aerolineas and nowhere it said it was delta. I followed the baggage allowance explained on kayak website and on Aerolineas Argentinas. I took a bicycle which is free and i pay $100 to packed it as Aerolineas wanted. When I arrived it was a Delta flight and they told they don't allow bicycles and that i had to play $150. Aerolineas website and kayak clearly says that bicycles were free on my flight. I show the agent my ticket and that no where it said delta to consider what he was saying since it is an alliance but i was not informed about it. He said no and after wait there for a while before boarding i kindly ask to speak with a supervisor and the denied it and disappeared. I request a refund of my fee to you for providing incorrect information."
Cons: "the flight was delayed by about 90 minutes and the gate was changed two times."
Pros: "We boarded close to on time, no hassles. Allowed my husband and me (retired military) to board early, thank you."
Cons: "LAX security is awful. We never left the airport (arrived LAX from Sydney AU) yet were forced thru security again. Had to remove shoes, was scanned and "frisked" by TSA to get to Denver. To go to Australia, Denver TSA waived the removal of shoes, skipped the scan for the metal detector and no one touched me, ditto for LAX on the trip to Sydney. Where's the uniformity or standards for TSA?? Why did I have to be subjected to this garbage on the way home?? This is why I despise flying. It makes no sense to me. This ruined what was a great vacation."
Pros: "The plane had more leg room and felt less confined because of higher ceilings."
Cons: "The 2 bathrooms in the rear are VERY narrow. I'm average size and barely fit. Also, the waiting area in terminal 3 at LAX is very crowded and noisy and the options for charging portable devices is minimal. I will definitely avoid Delta if I have to go through LAX."
Cons: "It was a late flight and didn't see the flight crew much at all"
Cons: "We had to wait at the customs for nearly 1.5hrs, then pick up our luggage, then check in again!!! We were running and got on the plane 10 mins before the departure. Super stressful!!"
Cons: "-"
Pros: "The flight was nearly full, but I lucked out. One person in my row did not show up, so myself and the other lady in my row had the benefit of having an open seat in between us. The crew was cheerful and accommodating. They did the normal beverage service, but also brought complimentary water and coffee 3x during the rest of the flight. This was greatly appreciated, especially after 5 days of drinking and partying. My buddies and I spent two and a half days in Las Vegas for a bachelor party followed by two days in the LA area for a wedding (yes we did it Hangover style) :) Thank you Delta!"
Cons: "My only complaint was that the flight was delayed out of LAX by about 30 minutes due to the flight in-bound being delayed. However, the captain made up most of this time in the air so it ended up being a non-issue."
Pros: "Boarding was on time and the process was efficient."
Cons: "The flight attendant could not serve coffee or tea due to "no potable water" onboard! The electric outlets at each of our first class seats were not functional, both the USB ports and the electric plugs did not work so we were not able to charge our phones during the flight. When I mentioned this to the flight attendant her response was that she had not received a report that the electric was not working. No other assistance was offered. There was very little legroom even though these were sold as first class seats. The plane was old and dirty, the armrests were sticky."
Pros: "I liked the fact that were were able to watch movies complementary, staff was very kind and looked good and for the most part the air craft was spacious than United Airlines"
Cons: "I disliked the fact that their weren’t any charging station, I wasn’t able to to charge my telephone device previously but I thought I would be okay sonce air crafts that I have boarded have out lets to charge devices, was an inconviencesince I wasn’t anle to contact family. Also there was complementary movies to watch but there werent any head phones that were given, united aire lines provided us with head phones for entertainment."
Pros: "The attendant was most helpful. Because the flight was not full, she allowed us to sit in the exit row, window and aisle, with no one between. I'm a tall person, so the extra leg room was deeply appreciated. I give her and the airline high marks."
Pros: "Nice equipment for the ride and pleasant staff"
Pros: "Food was ok."
Cons: "Flight attendants could have been a little more friendly and helpful."
Pros: "Had to cross terminals and the pathway was closed due to an international flight landing (poor planning on LAX part) so had to exit and reenter terminal through TSA. Flight delayed an hour then cancelled due to control panel failure. 10pm flight became 12am bus (and originally told it was 11.15pm bus which was "stuck in traffic" when google map traffic was all green). Got back to SD 4 hours after scheduled time."
Cons: "missed flight bc of delay with first flight. jad to wait 5 hours at lax"
Pros: "The flight was on time."
Cons: "This was an almost 6 hour long flight, LAX to OGG. The aircraft was older and for a 6 hour flight, they really should use a bigger and newer aircraft. The entertainment systems on the back of the seat worked sporadically and the PA system was too loud and every time the PA system was used while we had our headsets on, it was excruciating We had no warning in order to remove our headsets before it blasted into our ears. We were amazed that after paying a considerable sum for our tickets and being in the air for 6 hours, there was limited meal service and we were required to purchase a sandwich in order to eat. I fly Delta frequently and this was by far the worse flight I can remember."
Pros: "Great Food. Good entertainment. I recommend the aisle seat if you have to go top the bathroom frequently. :-) I felt that the flight attendants were concerned about our comfort on the flights."
Cons: "I would have liked more of a music and movie selection."
Cons: "To be clear, I do not have an issue with overweight people. That being said, I was put in an extremely uncomforatable position on this flight. My seatmate was a woman who easily weighed 400 pounds without the slightest exageration and was 5'7 at best. She carried all of her weight in her midsection and behind, which was truly uncomforatable for us both. As she attempted to squeeze into the aisle seat it became apparent that with the armrest down it was not going to happen. She raised the armrest and finally maneuvered into her seat and part of mine also. Not only was her bottom in my seat but her stomach was resting on my entire right leg. It felt like a toddler was sitting on my lap. This was beyond uncomfortable and embarrassing for us both as it was clear that she knew how intrusive this was and kept apologizing. My leg went to sleep after about 15 minutes so I asked to be let out. I approached the flight attendent and requested that my seat be changed to which she responded that the flight was full. I know it wasn't because I could see an empty seat about four rows in front of me. Finally I sat back down but every 15 minutes or so she would get uncomforatable and get up to stretch. The first time it was a welcomed break, until she came back and flopped in her seat with so much force that it felt like someone had ran and jumped in my lap. This occurred 4 or 5 times during the flight. I am not sure what the policy is for obese passengers, but it should be relooked. As a passenger I should not be put in a position to address another passengers weight. I also should not have to pay for a seat and only get to use 2/3 of it. Lastly, no one should ever be allowed to put their body parts on top of another persons lap and that be considered ok."
Pros: "Free movies helped the time fly by. Stewardess, or whatever the PC word us now, Britt was awesome"
Pros: "The flight was quick and quiet with a kind crew and captain that had a great smile."
Cons: "I didn't like the food."
Pros: "Crew was very good and nice on the flight"
Cons: "Flight terminal was changed about 30 to 45 minutes before boarding Flight was delayed due to AC problem Configuration of the plane was terrible. Little leg room but the windows did not align with the seats so a window was shared with two rows making it challenging to open or close a window without disturbing the passenger in the other row with whom the window is being shared. No charging outlets in the terminal or on the plane. Plane had no food to offer for purchase. Expected better from Delta."
Pros: "Hassle free left on time arrived early San Jose nice airport and drive to red wood city picturesque Staff friendly and cookies great"
Cons: "On this occasion I actually enjoyed it all"
Pros: "First class crew was great! Smooth ride, arrived early"
Cons: "Lunch option on LAX-AUS wasn't that good (chicken salad or meatballs), also was pretty sparse on the meal itself compared to other airlines"
Pros: "My Delta flight was a code share with Virgin Atlantic. A pleasant flight overall with my first impression being an airline with current popular music playing in the background and flight attendants cheerful. Since I was traveling alone, I opted to not purchase my seat prior to my flight date, instead I chose my aisle seat within 24 hours for free. I checked in my one bag and found out I had pre-checked so my security check went so smooth at the new terminal 2 at LAX. Looking forward to my flight back on June 15."
Cons: "Had a toddler behind me crying and screaming the last 40 minutes of landing into Heathrow because she couldn't sit on her mother's lap and made it quite unbareable for all of us in the vicinity. Wondering if there was an alternative way to handle the situation."
Pros: "Seating was nice...comfortable. Lighting was good, captain wasn't too chatty :)"
Cons: "This flight attendant was just terrible. Wish I could remember her name for this review... She had about half of the First Class cabin offended as soon as meals started getting served - I didn't see ANYONE around me that got what they asked for, and then when people stated the issue, she didn't respond very well. I tried to take things in stride (first world problems?) but it is a bummer to pay extra for the first class treatment and then to not have that great experience, especially on back to back 5ish hour flights."
Pros: "Worst experience ever."
Cons: "While my experience with Virgin Australia was good, I will not book with them due to the co-share with Delta Airlines. I missed my connecting flight from LAX to JFK due to additional security screening. As such I was advised to head to the Delta terminal to be booked onto the next available flight to NYC. After waiting over an hour in line to be seen by a staff member, I was told that they couldn't change my ticket as it was a Virgin flight. The same staff member didn't seem to even understand the concept of 'co-share', and also told me that because I booked through Kayak and not Delta that they could not help me. This makes me think that booking through a third party is a risky move. I was told there was absolutely nothing she could do, and that I would have go to a Virgin Australia Counter. This involved taking all of my luggage from Terminal 5 - all the way to Terminal 3. I was assisted by Virgin Australia, where they apologized for my experience, and confirmed that it was Delta's responsibility (and that they were capable) of rebooking my flight. Virgin booked me onto a later flight, but I still had to walk back to Terminal 5 (Delta) to give them my checked luggage. I was once again told that I didn't have the right ticket (details listed Virgin and Delta flight number - so this was way too confusing for them). Finally they printed my a boarding card and took my bags. I then ran through security and to gate in time for my flight. Flight was fully booked, due to a many people no doubt experiencing the same thing. Food was awful. Was a big step down from the Virgin flight in every aspect. There was not a single Delta Staff member who would even try to understand or be helpful. I will never fly with Delta again."
Pros: "Clean plane, good service. on time departure, early arrival."
Cons: "I did not like the way the plane was boarded- people could not get into their seats because others blocked the aisles - so chaotic. Passengers were not being rude to one another, it was simply that the process is poor. Could the zones instead reflect both location of seat and area of plane, so that those with window seats at the back board first, then middle seats, then aisle? That way if aisle seats fill first, seated people are not stepping back into the aisle to accommodate others needing to get a seat in that row, while everyone on the gang way must wait for the aisle to clear."
Pros: "What they offer is OK."
Pros: "This was a code share flight on a delta ticket but a virgin airline, the entertainment was great with the seat back selection, the seat comfy and the staff friendly."
Cons: "Firstly check in was a nightmare, travelling on a Virgin Australia Flight from LAX - BNE and a connecting flight BNE - PPP (Proserpine) all with Virgin Australia, and they claim they don't have the ability to tag your luggage the whole way through??? (I understand I have to collect it on arrival into another country and then take to a bag drop) but with the same airline they claim they can't do this? I travel a lot and with many other flights internationally and I can tag my bags with different airlines all the way through, but NOT WITH VIRGIN WITH THE SAME AIRLINE ALL THE WAY THROUGH? They can't do it? Then 2 hour delay on the tarmac after taxiing out from the gate at LAX, which got us in late to Brisbane. The food on this leg LAX-BNE for the vegetarian option was terrible, which was strange as on the fist flight over from BNE-LAX it was the best vegetarian food on any flight I've ever had. Strangely 6 months out from our flight I tried calling Delta to upgrade our tickets and was told they had no way of doing it as the Delta computer system isn't linked Virgin system. Then calling Virgin to upgrade I was told I can't as it is a Delta ticker. We tried again a week out from the flight and got the same response and told to try at check-in. We tried then at check in and told they have no idea how to do this as only so many seats are allocated to Delta tickets and they can't access the Delta system?? So very frustrating and we could never upgrade?"

After a mechanical issue caused a change of plans, we were boarded on the new plane before it had been refueled causing an extra delay. In these situations, since the fueling situation is easily predicted, boarding could’ve been delayed a little bit so passengers can enjoy the comfort of the terminal rather than being “sardined” in the plane for a longer period than was necessary.

Cons: "The fact the my connecting flight was delayed 3 hours making us miss the last leg of the flight to Bahrain. I'll never use kayak ever again"
Cons: "Flight was 2 hours late. Missed my connection."
Pros: "When we did get in the air, the flight seemed to go quickly and we got there fast."
Cons: "I upgraded to 1st class for both flights but the plane seating was very dismal and hadn't been upgraded in either of these planes for a long time. After we boarded the plane we were told that no drink, snacks or food would be offered. The attendant shut off the lights as soon as we got in the air and kept it dark in the cabin until 10 minutes before we landed. She never came around to check on us once or ask if we needed anything. I was so thirsty when we landed. I have decided that I will either go back to United Airlines or check out the 1st class options at American Airlines better next time. This might not have been their fault, I'm not sure what it was, but the flight was late landing and we took off an hour late as well which really put me behind schedule."
Cons: "No screens, poor WiFi connection and an hour late for mechanical issues. Things happen but waiting on a mechanic for almost the entire time to get there and fix it in 5 minutes isn’t acceptable."
Pros: "Easy"
Cons: "All was good."
Cons: "Dalay"
Pros: "Love main cabin extra"
Cons: "Just a cookie for a 3 hour flight"
Cons: "The plane was cold!"
Pros: "Boarding was fast and crew was friendly."
Cons: "I was extremely uncomfortable sitting in that seat. I injured my tail bone about 4 months ago and I thought it was healed at this point, but those airplane seats made all the pain come back."
Cons: "No delays"
Pros: "Crew was nice, entertainment was good"
Cons: "The food was terrible, no options, Boarding was disorganized and not in sync with what was on the screen."
Cons: "The seats, are getting Narrow. Very constricting."
Pros: "On time. Warm greetings from the pilots. New aircraft, clean, great entertainment."
Pros: "Seats we fine"
Cons: "Delay 2 hours"
Pros: "Had a bulk head seat with no one sitting beside me and we landed early!"
Cons: "Maybe a gluten free snack option"
Cons: "They need to have better policies for morbidly obese seat mates who feel entitled to lift the arm rest and take over a good part of the neighboring seat. With a full flight, the attendants couldn’t change our seats and said that they realized I was out a horrible situation"
Pros: "N?A"
Cons: "Comfort level of plane."
Pros: "Free entertainment"
Cons: "If it departed on time. Flight was supposed to depart at 8:06am and didn’t depart until after 1:22pm!! I missed 2 connecting flights and had to catch the last one out for the day."
Cons: "It would’ve been nice if we made it to fort Meyers!"
Pros: "I specifically flew today to catch their Boeing 787 while it's on its test flights. New plane, obviously clean and great entertainment in seatback."
Cons: "Delayed multiple tomes"
Pros: "Plane was on time, good service, main cabin extra is nice with my knees"
Cons: "No problems"
Pros: "Service"
Cons: "I could not pre-check or request different seats on the CP website. I think that this was because of issues with the website, apparently due to IT system communication between American Airlines and Cathay Pacific.......on all six flights. On the transfer in San Francisco, Customs was closed when we arrived in San Francisco and we had to haul all of our baggage from one terminal to the other. There was no direction on how to handle this issue of Customs being closed while on the flight to San Francisco. I had to explain the issue of to the CP customer service crew in SF. The CP desk and they had never heard of it. American Airlines was equally poorly trained. I will also say that while at the CP customer service, there were three young adult males that we're not busy at the time and the watched us unload the baggage carts onto the scales and conveyor and then reloaded on to the carts to push to the AA terminal. We handled the bags two additional times because the CP staff did not know what to do and how to handle it. Other passengers were confused as well."
Pros: "The inflight entertainment. They had a touch screen with a great selection of movies, music, and TV shows to kill the time with."
Cons: "No peanuts."
Pros: "Great films and tasty food"
Cons: "Had to run to gate after two buses to reach correct terminal. Saw info that flight was closing. Held up at gate due to confusion with my boarding pass. Limited leg room on flight. End of flight huge queues at Dallas airport for security. After a long flight a passenger does not need to be corralled through excessively long winding lines."
Pros: "I had a connection flight to JFK I came before the time about 15 min and crew saw me but she told me, sorry someone took your seats I lost around 4000$. This happened at Dallas airport."
Pros: "Better-than-expected legroom and comfort. Plane was clean, well kept. Much newer aircraft, so the enhanced entertainment features were great!"
Cons: "Poor boarding experience due to long line and plane capacity. Felt bombarded by American Airlines marketing schemes for their airline credit card."
Pros: "The flights were on time and the staff was very friendly."
Pros: "Delayed and no AC working..."
Pros: "Great service great entertainment to make long flight bearable"
Cons: "N/a"
Cons: "I was on a flight to Dallas on an American Airline flight which arrived late due to weather conditions, and the connecting flight didn't even wait for me although they know why I couldn't make it on time. And I was only late for about 5 minutes."
Pros: "On time. Comfortable seat. Courteous crew. Easy transfer."
Pros: "On time flight, as comfortable as can be hoped for."
Cons: "Non-economy plus seats are too small. Boarding frequently complicated by passengers who create issues with overhead space and carry ons."
Pros: "Flight left late, due to mechanical problems, but managed to arrive only a few minutes late"
Cons: "No food available, even though flight departed at noon"
Pros: "The food was great!"
Cons: "The new baggage rule limits you to two bags in business on international flights☹️"
Cons: "Multicity trip was cancelled because I was not able to take the first plane."
Pros: "Movies in flight."
Cons: "That I was rebooked and lied to at first as to why, and when getting another ticket the the ticket agent said the flight was rebook because "the crew didn't want to come to work". Not cool, I didn't react I simply got my ticket and just wemtnonw but there was no apology like they didn't care what I missed having to be rebooked I also wasn't given any sort of military discount no seats no baggage. Other airlines I've flown the past months always do something for military."
Pros: "smooth check in and boarding etc"
Cons: "Wifi wasn't working so no entertainment"
Pros: "Landing at destination"
Cons: "Plane, food, seat, entertainment and missing flight crew"
Pros: "The entire fly, connections, food and both crews excelente. Flight on time."
Pros: "Headrest entertainment systems"
Cons: "Lack of comfort in the seat, pay for every little thing, departed late, 90% of all passengers seems to be lumped in "Group 6" making boarding extremely annoying. I suppose any other group costs extra."
Pros: "nothing really good to say"
Cons: "American airline is late most times. I don't really like flight attendants on AA flights. Not polite. I only fly just because it was available I"
Pros: "That i was able to apply my delta sky miles account to the reservation"
Cons: "That it was actually an american flight, not alaska. Agents at desk tried to tell me i couldn't hang my hanging back and had to roll it up and put it in purse. Internet connection is horrendous. Flight attendant not willing to reimburse me after i paid $34 and received no internet. Will avoid flying American going forward at all costs."
Pros: "The pilot and crew were considerate that it was very early on a Sunday and so they kept interruptions to a minimum."
Cons: "The legroom seemed particularly tight on this flight. Not sure why. I fly a lot. Maybe this plane was diffferent - or I was particularly interested in napping and it was hard?"
Cons: "No clear info was available when flight was delayed 3 hours"
Pros: "Fastest flight I've ever had!"
Cons: "It was delayed for about a half an hour. Other than that it was great"
Pros: "Everything was very good!"
Cons: "Seats too close, can hardly turn around!"

There was no snack or anything but drink.

Be on time

Pros: "United Airlines is putting customers and employees at risk. It is an insane and absurd as it is disgraceful. During boarding you will see painted arrows on the ground urging you to be "6 feet apart" from fellow travellers. You will then enter a the plane and be 6 inches apart as the plane will be FULL. Fly Delta where they block off middle seats and social distance. United CEO Scott Kirby does not care about customers or employees. The absurdity of the juxtaposition between the "6 feet" signs in the boarding area and the COMPLETE ABSENCE of distancing on board tells you everything you need to know about United."
Cons: "Practice social distancing on the plane. There's a pandemic. This is the NUMBER ONE thing you should be doing to assure safety of passengers and crew."
Pros: "The flight was great. No complains to the crew."
Cons: "The drop-off bags at LAX is a mess and you have to stand in two separate lines to drop off your bag. First you have to print the tag and then go to another long line be with 2 employees only to drop it of instead of having one place to print and drop off at the same time. Poor system. Moreover while there was plenty of time my bag did not make it on the same flight. It will arrive on the next flight hopefully. I had to wait in another line for 30 minutes to arrange the delivery and verify all my information. I truly believe that to make a trip great both arms - the airport and the flight experience should be perfect. Unfortunately the ground experience does not allow me to give a higher rating."
Pros: "The flight delay 12hours, due to no reason"
Pros: "Cost"
Cons: "Aircon too cool"
Pros: "The check in process at LAX was very efficient and smooth. and the crew on the plane was very considerate. And the tv system on some of the planes is very enjoyable."
Cons: "There was a technical issue on the plane so they had us get off and wait hoping they could fix the problem. It turned into a 3 hour wait. They covered a meal for us which was good and gave us $50 off our next flight. But I’m not sure I want to book united again. The lady at the service desk was not very patient (which is understandable since a loy of people had to rebook their connecting flights). But I was smiling at her and just asking how to go about changing our connecting flights and she seemed a little bit ready to get rid of me. And the next plane we got on, one of our tv screens didn’t work. And the connecting flight was delayed also because of a technical problem."
Pros: "We arrived on time despite leaving 45 minutes late"
Cons: "LAX now buses people to the planes. We stood on the bus for 45 minutes and then drove for 10 minutes on an active taxi way. The crew for united just does not seem motivated anymore on any flight. Even in first class we were offered water only 2 on a 5 hour flight. The crew just sat in the front and looked at their phones. The food made me sick for two days - so it is better to just not eat it and bring your own. It is sad as I united used to be a great airline and now they just seem to focus on what new fee they can charge."
Pros: "United seems to have simplified how it separates the boarding groups, so getting on the plane was well organized. The 787 aircraft was spacious and comfortable, which seems to put both passengers and crew in a good mood. Lots of entertainment options were available, so the three hour flight flew by. And we arrived early! A great experience on United."
Cons: "Not much choice of good movies"
Pros: "Very nice people working and good service."
Pros: "We did not crash. Eventually we got to our destination."
Cons: "All flights were awful. None were on time. I paid for economy plus aisle seat but was put in economy middle seat anyway. Asked for refund and was sent to 3 different people. The final person, a gate agent for my departing gate, Peggy Hunter, told me that she has 35 years experience and she knows everything about United Airlines’ processes. Told me the only way I might get a refund is to submit online but that paying extra for a seat upgrade doesn’t mean I will actually get one and that I should read the fine print on the ticket. Had previously spoken to another gate agent who had told me that I could ask for a refund at the departing gate. Wifi didn’t work. On one of three delayed flights had to beg for water to take my medicine. I will make extra efforts to avoid using this mediocre airline."
Pros: "Flight attendant where very nice and courteous"
Cons: "Entertainment took a while to upload or kept freezing on screen"
Pros: "On a recent trip it was very good to be in the new dreamliner and with staff that were enthusiastic and being able to deliver a good product, food and comfort wise was a big bonus. Thank you"
Cons: "The movie not updated. No chinese movie. Love the pillow and blanket at business flight."
Cons: "we received email for the take off schedule changed to one hour early. End up when we arrived LAX and it got delayed 1 hr for take off due to air traffic. So when we arrived at SF, originally we only have 50 mins to catch on the next route to Osaka. There was no gate # provided on our boarding pass and we have to look for the international terminal for boarding. Due to first delay in SF, the time was so tight and the international terminal was so far away, we had to run like HELL and we almost suffered from heart attack. We barely made it and there was no one to help ever. we had to figure out on our own. This was very bad experience and was not acceptable with such poor arrangement."
Cons: "Seats were small with not much leg room"
Cons: "2 of the flight attendants were not friendly and one was flat out rude. They handed out some form that needed to be filled out before we entered Hawaii. When I asked for a pen she said they don't hand out pens and to start asking neighbors, which didn't have any either., however when she came back around to pick the forms up and some people didn't have them filled out she reprimanded everyone and kept saying you had 5 hours to fill these out. Her communication skills were not what I expected and her lectures were not necessary."
Pros: "We had arrived a little ahead of schedule"
Cons: "For an almost 6 hour flight, they chose a very small plane. Probably because they didn't sell enough seats on the flight so they downsized. Anyway, lots of people who boarded towards the end weren't able to store any carryon luggage. And as I listened to the crew talk to them, they weren't very nice about it. Sounded as if they were saying it's the passengers fault. We are allowed 1 carryon and 1 personal bag. For any flight that is longer than 3 hours, I believe the airlines should at least allow passengers to have 1 free check in. Then maybe we wouldn't be trying to carry everything on with us. Our flight to Hawaii wasn't very comfortable either. We had purchased economy plus but it didn't seem all that comfortable. Maybe because it was a smaller plane. I think it was a 737, not really sure but it had 3 seats on each side with no middle row. Food is for purchase! Outrageous."
Pros: "The flight was on time. Nothing else was acceptable about the travel on this plane."
Cons: "I was made to check in my carry on bag because United made this Economy Basic ticket where they fly the over head bins empty. They charge 25 for the checked bag and only allow a personal item on board. This idiotic arrangement wasn't even clear to me during booking. And i don't understand what sense it makes to create an entire class of passengers stripped of their luggage. It's definitely not customer-centric approach. The wifi was dead. It is ALWAYS dead. No entertainment was provided. I'd prefer the flights from the 90s where i could watch a film on a shared screen with headphones."
Pros: "A 3-hour stop over for the connection was not enough!!! The flight to San Francisco was delayed another 90 mins, causing me to miss my 15-hour flight to Singapore, although we arrived 10 minutes before the United Flight! Ten other passengers missed the flight! A travesty! Worse, with "no hotels available", I was rerouted to Chicago for a flight via Tokyo at 1300 the following day! In short, a 30-hour trip became 48 hours of hell and of course an 18-hour delaed arrival in Singapore. But there was more: my luggage was "lost" and thus arrived two days late!!!!! The only saving grace: friendly and helpful UA staff in San Francisco and especially in Chicago. Wow! I deserve some compensaton, wouldn't you all agree?"
Cons: "Please see above!"
Pros: "The direct TV was free on this leg of my trip"
Cons: "I brought a small carry on backpack with my duffle bag and was told I couldn't my small bag on the carry on, had to manage to stuff it in my duffle bag, when I get to check in ladies with purses bigger than my small bag were on board. Besides this unpleasant 15 min of worry everything was great."
Pros: "Very meticulous pilots, very friendly and accommodating cabin crew"
Cons: "When we made reservations in February we opted for economy plus seating 8C and 8D on an Airbus A320. In June we received notice of a schedule and equipment change to a Boeing 737-300. I was not told or given the option to change seat assignments, and we were assigned middle and window seats 28E and 28F, which were torture, so narrow and almost no legroom. Why weren't we automatically assigned economy plus seats? Adding insult to injury I had to apply for a refund for the seat upgrade, which again should have been automatic. Seeing as how the return flight was code-shared with AirCanada, United did not give us the option to upgrade seating, so I was forced to call United, waited almost 40 minutes so that they could give me the AirCanada booking reference number which then enabled me to upgrade seats via AirCanada's website. Lucky thing too because there weren't many economy plus seats left. I consider myself to be a savvy traveler, but there were too many unknowns and hoops to jump through in order to get proper seating. Plus the extra fees for premier access and baggage are exorbitant. Finally, I bought an egg white flatbread snack which was awful. I don't see how United gets away with this treatment, it certainly doesn't make for an enjoyable experience when vacationing. In fact we are seriously considering not taking any more vacations requiring flying. We're happy that airlines are profitable, but not at the expense of comfort or navigating options that require very sophisticated knowledge."
Pros: "Sadly, I am unable to find anything positive to say, aside from one customer service agent at LAX of the 7 I dealt with"
Cons: "The lack of accountability. Rude staff. The TSA was even more welcoming. Any time I had a question, I was pawned off to another agent, who would ignore me. I had to walk back and forth from gate to gate and was charged $310 for luggage."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Told the gate attendant I was flying home for my dad's funeral and if there was anything they could do to move my seat from a middle seat to aisle seat he said not without charging me but I could ask when I boarded the plane. Once the doors were closing I asked the flight attendant if I could move up one row to an open aisle seat she said no not without charging me. I said there's no one in that whole row and I'm flying home for my dad's funeral and could they make an exception I would show them the obituary and funeral brochure if needed I just wanted some space. She got another gate attendant I explained the same thing and he said no. He said the seat will have to remain empty if I wasn't willing to pay for it. I told him r u serious? U r that inconsiderate and heartless as a company. I've already booked 2 flights w United and u can't make an exception as I was in tears he said no nothing. And walked off the flight. This airline is heartless and deserves all the bad publicity it's getting. Horrible horrible service. And the flight attendant Beth did nothing about it after he left."
Pros: "I received a meal voucher for a five hour delayed flight which was extremely helpful."
Cons: "Flight was delayed five hours. I was with an infant so it was a bit challenging. We did also have to switch gates four time. I completely understand it was not the crews fault as they did handle it very well."
Pros: "Once airborne it was like any other flight."
Cons: "The absolute waste of my time and seemingly not caring about that fact."
Pros: "this was my first time flying alone and everything went smoothly"
Cons: "Roundtrip flight to Seattle with a layover, first flight went without incident, so far so good. On the flight back (during a layover) literaly 5 minutes till boarding the plane, the pilot is ready to go, the people are standing in line, United decides it wont make enough $ on the flight and gives it to an Ontario flight. We are canceled and now have to wait 4 additional hours in the airport. Was told it was air traffic control that messed up, not United, which was not even possible and an obvious untruth. Was offered a complimentary bottle of water for the trouble. Classic united."
Pros: "Really friendly staff, communicative, helpful. Gave good directions. Plenty of leg room on flight."
Cons: "Beyond the control of United, but LAX is a nightmare of an airport. Traffic control caused delays, airport staff more of a hindrance than helpful. Border control mumbling and barking orders at people like they're cattle. Not the best way to welcome tourists, but at least United Airlines crew made up for it with their smiles."
Cons: "I had a seat that had a monitor that was steaming code in front of me for 6 hours. It couldn't even be turned off. The only thing the crew offered was a piece of cardboard to cover it up. "If you download the United app you can pay to stream movies." I hate United and I don't use that word often. I would much rather give praises than complaints. Pay extra for food, entertainment, emergency isle seats... not that the tickets didn't already cost me a fortune. Crew even gave me grief about hanging up my suit!?! I flew to Thailand recently for less than flying to Texas, and everything was included, comfortable, and FRIENDLY. NOT UNITED."
Cons: "Arrived in SFO late due to delay from SBP on flight 5022. Rushed to the gate for flight 5992 which was scheduled to board at 2:00 and depart at 2:25. Arrived at the gate at 2:12 with 4 other passengers, 3 of which came from flight 5022. Found the door to the jetway closed and no airline employee to be seen. One fellow passenger ran to a neighboring gate to ask an employee for help and was told they could not help us. Another passenger called united customer service and was put on hold. At 2:23 the united employee emerged from the jetway and told us that we had gotten there too late. When we told the employee that all 5 passengers had been waiting at the gate for ever 10 minutes, the employee argued, insisted that we were lying. This was not only extremely unprofessional but also added insult to injury after we had missed this flight due to fault 100% on united's shoulders and none of our own. I am completely baffled how an employee could not wait just a few minutes when you have 5 passengers rushing in late. The employee could have looked in the system and seen that we were already on the ground and coming from a near by gate. I was rebooked on flight 1889 at a later time. After boarding 1889 a maintenance issue was detected requiring all passengers to deplane. It is beyond me why this issue was not discovered until after the flight had been boarded, when at that time the plane had been sitting at the gate for over two hours. After being delayed over an hour we were on our way to Austin. Ultimately I arrived in Austin 5 hours after my original arrival time due to the incompetence of united airlines. I was disappointed by the lack of professionalism and compassion by united employees throughout the ordeal."
Cons: "Ran out of the food that i wanted... settled with something that wasn't great."
Pros: "Love the stroop waffles."
Cons: "Partially at fault of late arrival, but we only landed 10 minutes late, and were immediately rushed through baggage claim and customs to re-check our bags for the next flight. There my bags were scanned and all the guy said to me was "ooh that's too close" and walked away. I then stood in a line that did not move for over ten minutes, with only three people in front of me, while 6-7 desks were empty and doing nothing but talking amongst each other. I then called the guy that scanned my bags back over to ask why I was still standing there while my next flight was about to board and he told me I'd been rebooked!! I didn't want to wait for the next flight so then had to sprint, with my bags, from terminal 2 to 7 (which if you've ever walked through LAX you'd understand how unpleasant that was alone). I did make the flight, but just, thanks only to the girls at the checkout counter who were actually willing to help me, although not eager to."
Pros: "Gate and customer service agents were kind."
Cons: "Gate agent and computer decided to give standby seating to terminal traveling customers after a weather delay pushed our original flight past my connecting flights departure. E.g. The airline could have let me make my connection, since other guests, who had no connections to make and were also stand by. In addition, customer service refused to offer a hotel voucher, instead offering a third-party 'wholesale price' coupon to participating hotels. The discounted price is more than the flight! Perhaps United could acknowledge the priority conflict of causing overnight delays and offer a flight voucher..."
Pros: "The crew on board the flights were always friendly and Stern with unruly customers. Very good job in that department."
Cons: "I am 5'10 and 155 lbs I wasn't so cramped in the sets that when the person infront of me put there seat back I couldn't cross my leg or sit comfortable. I can't imagine what a person any taller or larger then me felt. Oh also the average size man sitting extra to me was spilling over my seat. Luckily he did not smell and was very apologetic. The only reason I booked through united was because of how cheap they were. But with Lon delays. Rude check in emoployees, bad snacks, zero in flight entertainment 7.99 to watch tv? Come on you have us trapped already. (returning to Hawaii) and one of the worst seating set ups of my life. Yeah I'll gladly go back to delta."
Cons: "It was a good trip. I liked it a lot"
Pros: "They double booked my seat and forced me to sit in an emergency exit row. Pretty sure this is against FAA regulation."
Cons: "I was bumped from my confirmed flight and had to sprint across the airport to catch an earlier flight where they put me in the back of the plane in a middle seat with an entertainment monitor that didn't work. The flight attendant said she'd try to reset the monitor and then never came back the rest of the flight. I also was not compensated for agreeing to take another flight than the one I booked, paid for and successfully checked in for. I also got into Austin later than I wanted with this new flight I was forced to take. Overall this experience was a terrible one unfortunately."
Pros: "The attendants were absolutely wonderful and made our flight tolerable. Thank you again to the crew for working so hard and making our flight so much easier."
Cons: "Lack of communication - after we had checked in at the airport (under 2 hours before our international flight time) we were notified that our flight was delayed by an hour and 45 minutes. After waiting about 4 hours everyone started lining up in their respective rows and that's when the terminal United employees decided to inform us all that all passengers need to get in line at the desk first in order to get their passports inspected and get an approval stamp before lining up. Could have easily been done in the hour and 45 minutes of delay time we had. It's now 11:30 am, 2 hours past the original flight time and 15 minutes past the original delayed time, and we were all still in our respective lines to board the plane. The delay was due to the catering cart that had not yet arrived. So we were all waiting for about 30 minutes in line just to board the plane. During this time United decided to promote their Entertainment onboard and alcohol available for purchase once we are airborn. Finally when we were on board and about to be airborn is when the first apology was heard from the crew. This could have been managed much more effectively and professionally."
Cons: "Heavily delayed, kept getting later"
Pros: "the afternoon coffee, not offered by others"
Pros: "We had economy plus seats, so I could still feel my legs and didn't have a near panic occurrence. Good news! The dents in my husband's knees from the previous flight are gone! A/C worked great."
Cons: "United flight attendants could use a good Dale Carnegie course. The attendants on our flight exuded "GO AWAY!" Our row mate (aisle) had a broken seat that she paid extra $$ for & she asked to be seated elsewhere. Attendant said there are no more seats. There was at least one seat in first-class; we could see it. She also asked for more pretzels......2 1/2 hours into the flight...the attendant said I gave them out already. One pack of pretzels? I wasn't offered any pretzels at all. And the movie choices....what?!?!?!?! I can't even begin to describe the disappointment that your "selection" of movies caused. This isn't a hop to Hawaii. It's long haul. Oh. And my feelings are still a little hurt I at being subjected to the SMELL of baking chocolate chip cookies that were being served in 1st class. Really? Superman vs Batman, Captain America, Barbershop II, Jungle Book, etc., AND having to smell cookies I can't have? It's just too much to take in on a 5 hour flight."
Pros: "Everything was fine"
Pros: "Nothing. The gate agent didn't really know how kayak works when it comes to hacker flights.Told me to call customer service. Customer service does not give you the option to speak to representatives. The phone system just loops around with out giving any options for to speak to a person. After I was on the phone with an agent he told me my money would be refunded. I have been charged two flights and I'm still sitting at home."
Cons: "Kayak did not confirm my seat. Was not able to get a flight. Called customer service and they told me to rebook. My card was charged twice. The airplane had faulted hardware. Waited in line for 2 hours to get a different flight. All flights to Phoenix were full. Didn't make the standby list. Couldn't make the rebook flight. Worst day ever Now, No one can give me a refund. mind you I took a day off from work this was a last minute. The reason this trip was so important to me is because my grandma is in the ICU. I hardly ever complain about any customer service experience. Overall to get a hold of customer service is awful. Now I have to spend more money and I have to drive 12hours."
Cons: "No free wifi. No free entertainment. Smaller than a kids small fruit snack bag of trail mix for a 4+ hour flight. Gate issues delaying our boarding-resulting in late take off.- and delayed transit home to last available route of the night- thank goodness!"
Pros: "The flight landed safely and was only a few minutes late after delayed departure of 25 minutes."
Cons: "A problem passenger ruined the flight for me and several others. He continually left his seat when the seat belt sign was on. I figured he was back smoking or vaping in the lavatory as he came back smelling strongly of after shave, bit seeing him weave around he must've been drinking. Then he stood in the aisle and poured more after shave down his shirt and outside his shirt. The smell was so strong it gave me a headache and make me sick to my stomach. Then he left his seat and sat behind us somewhere with a woman. A flight attendant told another man to come up and sit where he had been sitting. After the man went to sleep this guy came up and kicked him out of his seat. Then he asked the guy by the windows to switch seats with him which the guy did Kama then he proceeded to make him move several times as he had to get out and get out of his seat looking for something. I'm not sure how these things are handled normally but this guy really ruined for me. Aren't there consequences for ignoring all the rules? I probably won't fly United again."
Pros: "The flight was on time, and the attendants courteous."
Cons: "However, the seats were so cramped, it was pretty miserable, even for just a 2 hour flight. With no snacks even offered because of turbulence, and no working wifi or seat back TVs, there was nothing to distract from how uncomfortable we all were. Plus, Austin's airport layout requires travelers to walk awfully far to get bags and then a rental car. Don't dare be disabled or feeling unwell--you'll never make it! Of course our gate was furthest from baggage claim, & someone's has to be. Nevertheless, it's a terrible layout, w/ pedestrians pushing through boarding queues and where others are lined-up to buy food."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "have been stranded by Air Canada in Toronto en route to Tel Aviv for what will be at least two nights. Let me preface this by saying that I travel regularly and have never experienced anything like what has transpired over the last 36+ hours. I've been unable to get to my work and unable to return home to my two young children, stuck in international limbo. The thing that really galls about my whole experience, though, has been that the actions as well as tenor of the interactions with almost every single Air Canada customer service representative has been deplorable. No one has even apologized for the inconvenience, let alone taken ownership of the situation to fix it. My experience as a customer has been reprehensible. I was scheduled to travel from Los Angeles to Tel Aviv through Chicago and then Toronto. The problems started in Chicago. My layover in Toronto was scheduled to be brief and I became concerned when the flight in Chicago did not board on time and no information was given. Some time later (maybe 20 minutes, although, to be honest, I was not concerned enough at that point to be checking) we were told there were maintenance problems. I immediately went to the counter and asked about other possible routes to Tel Aviv as it was clear that I would not make my connection. While missed connections happen all the time in travel, I have never encountered airline personnel who were so disinterested in helping. My immediate stop was the Air Canada service desk. The man there started to look for solutions and then passed it off to someone else as he got frustrated that it was not a simple route. She in turn asked if I could find someone else to help. But this was the service desk! So she begrudgingly went back to it. She put me to the side to help other passengers and told me to go get food and not to hover. I stood to the side and checked back and she had not come back to the task. Neither had the man I first worked with. By this point well over an hour had elapsed and they conceded to help as another family in the same position came up and also asked for assistance. They began trying to reroute us and then the flight cleared and we were able to board. We did not want to but they told us that there would be someone waiting at the jet bridge to expedite the connection to Tel Aviv and that we had made it just in time. We did not trust him and said so and he assured us that they would hold the plane for our flight. This did not happen. The Air Canada agent flatly lied to us. There was no one waiting to help get us to the gate. They did not hold the plane. I ran through the Toronto airport at sprint speed and left the other family to try to hold the plane for us all. They had already given away my seat despite my having checked in, paid for an extra legroom exit seat, and begun travel on the original itinerary. Thus did I miss the flight to Tel Aviv."
