Cons: "The fact that the lack of knowledge regarding international travel visas by the counter staff and supervisor meant that two days of the vacation were lost. Upon arrival in China the 144 hour travel visa was granted with no problem within minutes, but the U.S. staff was completely befuddled by the possibility. The interrogation was completely stressful and resulted in a reschedule of the original flight and during the second attempt at flying even an email from the U.S. consulate with a link to the Shanghai/Chinese government immigration site was deemed "not official enough". i will be expecting proper compensation. I was once given an $850 travel voucher for voluntarily giving up my seat, and was flown first class to Hawaii, given 4 star accomodation and then flown first class on to China within 48 hours. This was an involuntary bump from our chosen flight time, all because of a lack of knowledge about current visa regulations and international law on the part of the check in staff. We have been loyal Delta users for over 15 years, and this was the biggest blunder ever. Also humiliating and extremely frustrating, stressful and a big problem with fulfilling our travel plans between son and father."

Pros: "I am 6'6" 300 pounds ... So I regularly book first class for trips over 2 hours in length ... Delta remains my #1 choice for both value and overall experience in first class. The difference between Delta and all other domestic carriers is just overwhelming. United and American/US Air could learn a lot from Delta. I could have flown this trip direct on United, but chose to fly through Atlanta on Delta for less money and a better experience from the baggage check to the gate to the in-flight experience."

When we boarded they said the pilots had landed. 60 minutes later they arrived, 30 minutes after that we took off. Missed connecting flight in Seattle. Poor communication during delay."

Lousy service ast attempting to resolve situation. Given a choice, I do not choose Delta as a first choice airline to fly."

We boarded slowly, partially because people STILL refuse to check bags that are not carry on bags. We left late. Why have zones at all? Why have carrying rules that you don't enforce? Why did we pay $25 a bag if you don't enforce this? Food choices are funny, especially the "tapas". Whoever thinks THOSE are tapas should Google the word tapas. Delta reportedly earned 746 million in the first quarter and you charge for everything and still can't come up with decent food for us to BUY?"

The plane is old and no individual TV. The food choices were very limited. I felt like cattle rather than a relaxing flight. Flying use to be fun and exciting and part of a great trip. Now it is endured to get on a trip."

Cons: "After being in DFW airport for 10hrs all I wanted to do was watch a movie on board and sleep. Go figure, my TV didn't work. I called the attendant and she said she would reset them. The "resetting process" took a while. She attempted, and the other stewardess did as well. They said that the TV issue that *some* of the people were experiencing wasn't able to be fixed by them and only by the company that provides it's service. So there wasn't anything that could be done. I know that at least the two guys that were traveling next to me had issues with the tv monitors as well. It was just driving it home that I will never fly on American Airlines again. I don't ask for much these days while flying, it's not like it's a luxury anymore. But the saddest part is that customer satisfaction is completely out of the question. Just pay the extra money and fly another airline. -Deidre Fugate"

Pros: "I did not like have to stay in a hotel room when I could be sleeping in my room I'm on medication I don't even have my medicine with me because American Airlines had engine trouble in Dallas we went back to the Terminal 3 times before they ever got it fixed slit throat me late getting into Seattle and I missed the flight to Yakima I don't feel that this was my fault I didn't nothing to delay the airplanes and I walked as fast as I could to the terminal on in Seattle so I didn't have such a pleasure to little trip but your airline get put me up in a hotel but it's still not does not change the fact I have my blood pressure medicine and about 10 other medications but my blood pressure is the biggest and I will think twice before I fly Alaska Airlines again"

She asked for a wet towel and the flight attendant was snarky but went to get one without even looking or asking to see what the problem was. Her entertainment console wasn't working so they reset it but instead it reset mine (two seats over) they did this again and I let them know it was resetting mine. I was told that I was not in the seat they were resetting for ...I inquired if perhaps they should try to reset mine and see if it would, in fact, fix hers..it did. When she slipped off her shoes the carpet was soaking wet. This was a really crummy, crummy flight."

Cons: "Charlotte to Seattle flight: The food served in first class smelled awful. Seated in premium seating just behind first class was unfortunate due to the atrocious odor that lasted for 3+hours. There was no option for food service for the rest of the plane. Which was unfortunate as I was very hungry. Due to inconsistent notification that the plane was delayed / on-time (kept switching the notification) we opted to not get dinner in the airport..... To which the plane was was an hour late yet we were told to check in every ten minutes to see if we were boarding. There were no blankets. The plane was incredibly cold. The suggestion I received from the flight staff was to turn off the vent above my head (which I had already done.) I had brought a jacket and was wearing pants. On a 5.5 hour flight, the crew served beverages 45 minutes into the flight (per usual) and handed out a pretzel pack. They didn't come back through with water or beverages again. On other airlines, they promote water at least once an hour to keep swelling and dehydration down. Since I am a pretty frequent flier, I bring my own water. Still, coffee would have been nice. Suggestions: increase beverage service to at least twice / 5.5 hour flight and provide blankets upon request. Food choices and entertainment would also be good. Don't cook stinky dinners in first class and allow it to pollute the rest of the plane."

So our flight departed a whole day later and we missed a day of our vacation (we arrived at 7pm instead of 7am). I understand things happen but this was not weather related or a mechanical issue. This is simply poor personnel management. They should have a back-up plan if an employee falls ill. One that doesn't involve flying in an employee from another region of the country, let alone another state. The inefficiency continued on the return flight when it took a whole hour for the luggage to come out! Will avoid flying American again at any cost."

I'm considering using a different booking site. The experience was the worst I've ever had. Kayak Alaska and American are getting bad marks from me!!!!"

The flight times were poorly arranged, as we had to wait 14 hours to get on the next flight. Also, I purchased two boarding passes for both myself and my girlfriend and somehow I ended up in a later group than she did after checking in."

Cons: "The email i received was from Alaska Airlines but what I didn't know was that it was for an American Airlines flight. Normally this is not a big deal, but in Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport the two airlines are in different terminals which required a fair amount of time to travel from one to the other. Had I not arrived at the airport early, I may have missed my flight. The confirmation email I received was labeled as an American flight, but since I received it from Alaska, I assumed I had reserved an Alaska flight. Also, the confirmation email I received from Kayak had me listed as a passenger on an Alaska flight. I'm assuming I originally booked for an Alaska flight, but later on in the confirmation process I was somehow changed to an American flight via Alaska. While I don't see this as a problem for Kayak, I think this is a situation in which your feedback could be useful to help avoid confusion for passengers in the future."

Cons: "Roundtrip flight to Seattle with a layover, first flight went without incident, so far so good. On the flight back (during a layover) literaly 5 minutes till boarding the plane, the pilot is ready to go, the people are standing in line, United decides it wont make enough $ on the flight and gives it to an Ontario flight. We are canceled and now have to wait 4 additional hours in the airport. Was told it was air traffic control that messed up, not United, which was not even possible and an obvious untruth. Was offered a complimentary bottle of water for the trouble. Classic united."

This could also cause a problem for people on the landing side when they need accommodations... luckily, a CSR got to the bottom of the discreptancy for me."

The power outlet under my seat did not work, so my phone died, and my armrest(left) was missing it's headphone jack so I couldn't use the in-flight entertainment, not that it would have mattered anyway, the fat man beside me was so huge, his fat covered my armrest so I had no access to the remote. The guy on my right, in the window seat, while not fat, wasn't small either and hogged two armrests, leaving me with none. I had to hold my seatback with my left hand the entire flight because there was nowhere to put my left arm without either holding it straight out in front of me, or laying them on the fat mans stomach which was folded over the armrest to my left. At one point I called a flight attendant and asked if they had any kind of a pillow or something to help my situation because the position I was forced to sit in was horribly uncomfortable and did not support my back, she looked at me confused, said they have nothing like that, and immediately vanished without any suggestion of a seat change or anything, just confused stare and then bolted away. All in all a pretty traumatizing experience, worst flight of my life."

Pros: "The crew and staff were patient with so many situations out of their control. The Huston maintenance are on top of their game."
Cons: "1st plane was taken out of commission because there were loose/missing rivets from panels 2nd plane was taken out of commission because hot air was was coming through the vents and causing sensors to go off 3rd plane was taken put of commission because there was issues with cabin pressure. 4th plane had a row of oxygen masks down. The flight was delayed until a tech could come in and service it. The flight was further delayed because there was a missing receptacle in one of the lavatories."

Cons: "Flight was super delayed. Missed our connecting flight. Ruined my plans and trip"

Pros: "The seating was way to tight, the leg room cramped absolutely most uncomfortable. It was over booked and people were left behind. It was also very bumpy ( I know not your fault) so therefore seatbelt lights were on for most of the flight"

Cons: "We are two active duty members flying to take our son to our parents for us to get ready to go on deployment. When we arrived there the line was almost an hour and a half just to check bags we almost missed our flight. When we got to the counter ans told him we were both military flying on orders and asked to be tsa checked he had no clue what we were talking about so this kind woman helped him do his job, needless to say he was a manager. Once we got out tickets the seat assignment said see agent so we did. He hands us our tickets and we are a plane length apart. Let me mind you we both just left our child for a 8 month deployment overseas. We asked the guy if it was possible to get seats together wouldnt even acknowledge we were speaking to him. So we tried again he held his hand in my face and told me he serviced me and to please step back. Ive been bawling 2 hours straight from having to leave our son. So we stepped back. Then in the line this couple comes up and they were looking for seats together, i kid you not he gave them seats together! I will NEVER EVER fly united every again. Thank goodness for this kind gentle to switch me seats on the plane because i was crying i had to leave my fiance after i just had to say goodbye to our son for 8 months!! I was so shocked!!! I will tell every single person i know to never use united! You guys should be ashamed of our company! I will inform every active duty member i come across!"

Cons: "The airplane was dirty. There was stuff on the window, the tray table. I get you run a tight schedule but if I didn't have Purell and a Kleenex I would have been really disgusted with the food and coffee or pop splatters all over the window and tray table."

Cons: "All my flights were delayed due to weather in airports that were not a part of either my destination or point of origin. Not a single United employee apologized. There was no one to talk to on the 800 number, no one in the airport. No offers for any sort of vouchers or compensation was offered. The United website did my give accurate updates for when the flights would be rescheduled and there were two representatives in the airport to handle several hundred customers. When I finally did get on a flight, the flight attendants pushes the beverage cart right past my seat without offering anything. I asked one of them if I could have a cup of water and her reply was a very curt 'no'. Rude flight attendants on top of everything else? And the final straw came when a mechanical error delayed my flight home and I missed my ride from the airport and had to pay for an expensive cab ride. The airline representative I spoke to once we landed told me "you should be grateful you even got home. I don't care if you have to spend money on a can, you look like you can afford it." There are no words for how absolutely unacceptable your employees behaved, and how unaccountable and disorganized your airline is. I don't care if it costs me hundreds of dollars more, I will NEVER give your company another dollar."

Cons: "Everything. United is the worst everytime. I will never fly them again!!"

Pros: "The ticket agent boarded military service men and women with priority. For the delayed flight, free in-flight entertainment and wifi was offered."
Cons: "The flight was delayed taking off two hours. Once boarded we sat for an additional amount of time. The flight attendant offered the option for those that wanted to deplane at some point and when asked how much longer we would be sitting she said it was another 30 minutes waiting on 15 people."

Cons: "I wasn't assigned a seat and the line to talk to the agents was long with only one guy and the he didn't help anyone til it was almost time to board. Probably one of the most stressful flights"

Pros: "Was in first class and food was good however I don't think the crew knew when to set the alcohol off to a few people"
Cons: "What I didn't like about the first class was the fact of the crew gave out a little bit too much alcohol to a few people and at which point they became belligerent and bumping into people and Isles just a little to satisfied with that and would hope that would change in future"

Cons: "Man at security made me check my bag even though it fit in the test structure. My suitcase handle was then ripped off and the fabric was ripped when I picked up at baggage claim. Additionally, another person on my flight had the same first and last name as me and we had been assigned the same seats. Luckily there was another seat but it was obviously a bit mistake on uniteds part. I really dislike united. Their employees are stressed, rude, and entitled. There's no need to say things like "hurry up" or make people check bags when they don't need to...I used to fly United a lot but I will now make every effort to not fly this airline again."

Pros: "I liked the distance between my seat the seat in front of me. Hands down, this is one of the most spacious planes to fly on in economy class. I also appreciated the attendant giving me the entire can of club soda rather than pouring it over ice. Staff was communicative, and the pilot provided us periodic updates on our speedy progress and early arrival. Cleanliness of the plane was also well appreciated. Even the bathroom towards the end of the flight was in satisfactory condition. Above all, I loved that there wasn't a television in my face the entire flight. Nice to have a break from seeing screens."
Cons: "There were signs on our tray tables indicating that charging stations were under our seats. They weren't working. Although the flight attendant came on the intercom with the pilot stating the charging happened in a wave around the cabin, this was a lie. Both my neighbors in my row had devices plugged in the entire 5+ hour flight and they didn't charge a bit. It's disappointing that a small half ounce bag of peanuts is too much of an expense for the airline nowadays. Given the amount of time in the air, I believe a full meal provided by the airline would have been closer to meeting basic needs of your average metabolism. United fell far from expectations on this aspect."

Cons: "I had a carry on but they said the over head compartments were too full. So they grabbed the bag from as I was boarding. They then lost my bag. Now United is refusing to send my bag even though it has been found by the airport lost and found police in a city that was not my destination."

Cons: "While the tv on the plane is something that I could see people enjoying, the controls are located right where an arm rest is resulting in flipping channels changing contrast and all other things I had no idea what was going on, as nobody passed that information."

Pros: "The flight attendants were great and flights were on time with no delays."
Cons: "It's was -20 below zero on the plane, the seats SUCK, and they CHARGE for everything!"

I didn't expect having to pay $57 for a carry on and it was even more expensive than the checked bag option. I found their jokes to be weird and annoying how a number of them were jokes about accepting our valuables to sell."

The scheduling calendar had me confused which required a flight change. Change flight fee was robbery. Check in and flight were uneventful. But lost bag on the way back has added insult to injury. Never again. Sarcastic comment about the age of the age of the aircraft on return flight caught me off guard."

Cons: "They charge extra for everything. That great price was quickly eroded by add on charges for luggage, seats, water, and as soon as they can figure out how to meter it, they will charge restroom visits by the pound. Worst airline ever."

Cons: "Your seats are uncomfortable. Seats that recline are needed. None of the announcements from your flight attendant was audible and clear. Those from the captain were much better. The added costs for seating and bags are ridiculous."

Pros: "The price of the ticket was cheap, the boarding process was quick and easy, everyone was very friendly and courteous, while the seats didn't recline or were overly luxurious, I still had plenty of space to not feel cramped in my seat and I'm 6 feet tall. I don't need many frills. A great flight to get you and yourself there."
Cons: "The snacks are not free (though I knew this going into it) and horribly overpriced. If you don't do your research you will come to be surprised by the fact Spirit charges you for everything - your carry on, your checked baggage, being able to choose your seat, a fee to print your boarding pass at the airport (CHECK IN ONLINE), etc."

Cons: "Five other people and I were unable to board our flight from las vegas to seattle because we received numerous notifications that our flight was delayed, and we were all sitting at the gate at least and hour, one group 3 hours before departure, and did not hear the announcement for boarding because the flight decided to leave 30minutes earlier than we were told. When I went to check in, the plane was still attached, but the attendant would not let me on the flight. Further, this airline does not accommodate for arrangements since the next flight isn't until the next day, and the next flight the day after that. Missing this flight would not be so frustrating, had this airline not only had one flight per day, and we're on standby, we don't know if we will be able to board, we may be stranded for days. So moral of the story, you get what you pay for, and I'm now willing to pay and extra $100 for a more reliable airline so i don't get charged for every little thing and receive better service. This is not the staff's fault; they were all very friendly, this is a corporate issue."

Cons: "I spoke with a customer service rep and requested to cancel round trip from Seattle to Las Vegas; I was told that they had to be cancelled separately, so I did this and was told that both were cancelled and because I had called in a timely manner I would not be charged. This transaction was friendly and helpful; however, apparently not completed accurately. Three weeks later: Only my one trip TO Vegas was cancelled; my return flight home was not. When I again called Spirit, Jenki (sp?) answered the phone and told me I hadn't cancelled in enough time and would be charged for the trip and could not cancel the return leg home. I protested and was told they would review my phone conversation. They did not call me back, but I will be calling again later today to see if I can get credit (although I don't want to use them again in any case). Very disappointed with the service."

Cons: "Had to cancel my flight two days before. Was charged $100 cancellation fee per ticket (x2). That left me with a $20 Spirit Voucher that I have to use (actually travel, not just book) within 60 days. What a rip off off!! The cheap fare I got was not worth the lack of flexibility and high fees. I will never, ever book a flight again with Spirit."

Cons: "You have to pay for carry-ons and checked bags! Minimum of $40 each, even if you pay in advance. Check in online the day before was also difficult and is only possible if you have a Spirit Airlines account and password. They charge a la cart for EVERYTHING - seat assignments, early boarding, printing your boarding passes at the counter, and on the flight - soda, snacks, coffee, tea and even WATER! They only came through once with beverage service and I was coming back from Vegas (so thirsty and in need of hydration) and legitimately had zero options for a drink in the last 3/4 of the flight!!! The seats are like lawn chairs, but harder. And there's no little pocket to store magazines and whatnot. And the most amazing of all - you get like 1/4 of a tray table! Don't think about using a laptop or working on one of these flights 'cause there is zero space for your stuff!"

Really.. Come on.. $3.00 for a Coke or water??? Really??? The flights are cheap, but they stick it to you with there added fees as mentioned above!!!"

We didn't know that you have to pay a fee for a carry on bag and charged us 100$ even though it was small and fit the length criteria. If an issue arises be aware. You'll get sucked into their 24-48 hour policy to do nothing before beginning to process your concern. Only they'll try to turn 48 hours into 60 hrs and force you to pay."

I missed my flight and spirit said I had to buy a new ticket. They charged me extra to book the ticket with an agent even though the main reason for calling was customer support. Never again"
