They were on time. Staff was professional and pleasant. Allowed me to have a carry on and select my seat. Very reasonable cost. Easy online check on and sms reminders. Will fly with them again.

The flight attendants were super friendly and attentive. I wish there were better entertainment options and a wider movie selection.

Pros: "Service and overall cleanliness etc. was very smooth, good and clean. I sat in seat 1A both ways and as the first person to get on and off the flight found the process well laid out, easy, clean and smooth. I also got to witness the boarding process from inside while seated. Very professional and courteous all the way. The first class cabin was sparsely filled with ample space between us and based on how many people I saw getting on, I think the rear cabin must've been sparsely filled as well. More on the comfort aspect in the "what would have been bettter section" ... in short, the seats are the weakest link in the chain."
Cons: "My only gripe is about the seats fitted in first class for this Alaska Air leg (JFKSFO). Like most, my travel frequency has dropped so much that I can finally afford to pay full fare first for the few times I do need to travel. I expect that this will more likely be the norm than not and hope/expect that more among us who can afford to pay extra for the additional comfort, do so. The airline industry will need to keep that segment to get ahead of this seismic shift in travel patterns that 2020 has brought upon all of us. I was hoping to just sleep through it. I normally sleep well/easily on flights (at times, "too well"!) but could not do so on this leg. The seats in first class are just not meant for sleeping and are thus limited in their positioning ... brief napping is the best you can do - carry your entertainment/work or plan on meditating while fully awake. The base is for all intent and purposes, immovable (maybe a couple of inches back and forth at best). There is no concept of a foot rest in the design. The back locks into one of two positions - a vertical one for take-off/landing and a second one tilted about 15 degrees or so. That makes it impossible to stretch the body out while fully supported - so hard to go into relaxed/deep sleep for those who wish to do so. The front passenger seat of a common car offers more for a five hour road trip - something to ponder on, eh? Upgrade the seats ...the extra investment will pay for itself quickly in this age of reduced travel as you'll attract more of those who are lucky to be able to pay a little more to fly in comfort for the few times that they need to. Additionally, sleeping passengers are often the easiest/cheapest to service!"
Pros: "The crew was good. The problem was our Qantas flight from Auckland New Zealand, to Sydney, Australia, to San Francisco, to Seattle didn't sync with Alaska Air. We arrived in San Francisco after a very long flight. We had gotten our boarding passes in Auckland. When we went to board in SF, there was a glitch and they wouldn't let us board. It took a long time to get that fixed. We missed our flight (with our luggage on it), and had to wait several more hours. Plus Alaska Air had cancelled a flight mid morning and the trickle down result was many people were stuck and waiting on flights. Then we had to wait for a crew to come, then they found something wrong with the plane so had to get in a new plane. It was a long and hard day for everyone."

Cons: "I did not like that the airline allowed more than 1-2 people to accompany 1 small child when pre-boarding. I happened to be able to go in with the general boarding but was one of those who was first in line within this group. My seat which was 5C already had no overheard room!!! It appears that 1 child was accompanied by 4 adults when they pre-boarded and in addition to their carry-ons, they put their foldable stroller, backpacks and totes in the overhead bin!! The airline announced a request for people to leave the overhead bin spaces for bigger carryons but does not enforce it. Flight attendants should not feel uncomfortable actually asking to whom the backpack or tote belong to and tell passengers to put those under their seats. Somehow, passengers need to be educated on proper etiquette. Also, pre-boarding should only allow 1-2 people to accompany a child or an elderly person. Pre-boarding should not be taken advantage of by all adults traveling with those needing it."
Cons: "I don't normally leave reviews, but words really can't describe the nightmarishness of what should have been a quick four hour flight from San Francisco to Washington. Seats for my wife and I were not where I had reserved. Plane had one working lavatory for a cabin of 150 economy passengers. This resulted in a line that stretched the entirety of the single aisle of the plane for the majority of the flight. The second toilet simply had a piece of paper with sharpie that read "DO NOT USE!!" There were two attendants, one of whom wore a t-shirt and was mostly indistinguishable from the passengers. Didn't get so much as a cup of water until over two hours into the four hour flight. No snack, but that's the least of my complaints really. The attendants spent most of the flight in the back of the plane discussing their new vacation lottery and where they were going to go out drinking when we landed–I know because the rear of the plane was where I ended up, forced to smell the single working toilet, in a seat that didn't recline."

Also, I like that there were charging ports... even if I didn’t use them. And there was plenty of leg room. Lastly, there was a flamboyant crew member who was really nice as well. I liked him a lot."
Cons: "There was this one older stewardess with short blonde hair who had an attitude the whole time. While she was trying to do drink orders a man had spilled his drink so he asked her for a napkin. She rolled her eyes and gave it to him. I was in an isle seat and I got hit in the back with the cart and all she said was “get out of my way I’m coming through” and it actually really hurt. I got bumped by her another three times. And by no other crew member was I hit on my side. Maybe she was just having a bad day..... or maybe she didn’t like her job.... but it definitely showed."
Cons: "In the SF airport, your crew accepted me to pay for $25 for putting my suitcase into the plane. But then, she mentioned that the flight was delayed and there was no way that I can made my connection from LA to Indianaplis. So I was given a boarding pass with my suitcase ($25 paid) only to LA. The front desk asked me to try other ways when I arrived LA to see what can be done. When I entered into the gate, your CS changed my flight to UA after I have presented my case. However, I had to pull the suitcase out from Alaska, paid another $25 to United and started the trip all over again. All the while, your crews expected me (an alien from Asia) that I should have known every thing get it through, or to claim my suitcase charges. I am really disappointed for the lack of understanding. To you, it may be something happened so common everyday. To me, I was totally lost to handle this."

The boarding to the Alaska flight itself was seemless and the on board staff were very friendly and helped stow my bag. The captain apologized for the late departure of only 30 minutes and kept us informed of how the flight was progressing."

Cons: "I arrived at the SFO at 715. I checked in and went straight to my gate. After sitting in the gate area just a few minutes, the women at my flight desk announced a delayed flight(flight would depart at 10 instead of 855) The asked that passengers come retrieve their meal vouchers. She checked my boarding pass and I went and ordered myself dinner and returned to sit down close to 9pm. I waited for the screen to change for the new flight information but it never did. The terminal was busy with music and basketball finals.lost of mumbling announcemrnt so I kept checking my flight screen and it still had the original flight. I sat waiting. All of a suddent the tv changes and it’s a different destination??? I got up and asked why my flight wasn’t posted and she told me ‘sweetheart your flight left 20minutes ago.’ I was shocked. How could this happen? She informed me i’d missed my flight that was never delayed. I was so tired and worried and she kept calling me sweetheart. Telling me there were mo more flights but that she’d put me on a 6am the next morning. With my disability I was so worried I pushed and pushed and spoke to both counter airling people. Finally, I got mad and she put me on united. I am so upset about the whole ordeal. That was a surreal awful experience that had me crying on the way home."

Cons: "Switching from Alaskan Air to Hawaiian Air in San Diego is near impossible. I got off at 9:25am and had to run out of the airport and down to another terminal, go through security again and run to gate 51 from gate 10. It is near impossible for someone who can’t sprint. I was the last one to board. Lost my window seat and luggage didn’t make it. In Honolulu I found out luggage hasn’t made it for at least three other couples flying out of BWI with these connections. This combo should not be offered when people select flights."
Pros: "The attendant who helped me was extremely helpful in arranging for me to be on the next flight to Portland, out of San Jose. She called and arranged for a shuttle to pick me up in San Francisco and bring me to San Jose at no cost, and provided me with a flex ticket so that if I missed the next flight I could be on the subsequent one. (I did in fact make it -- just barely -- onto the 11:15 flight out of San Jose, so when all was said and done I landed in Portland about three hours later than originally planned. As it was a very short trip, I'm quite glad that I only lost the time that I did.) Thank you, Diane (Diana?), for all your help."
Cons: "I had originally been scheduled for an 8:45 am flight out of San Francisco. As I was leaving for the airport at 6:30 I received a text saying that my flight had been delayed until 10:08. I ended up arriving at the airport around 9:00 and making it over to the service desk around 9:20, at which point I was told by one of the attendants that the flight had left at 9:18 and I should have been at the airport two hours early. There was no acknowledgment by this particular attendant that I had been given wrong information by the airline that had resulted in my missing the flight."

Cons: "When we make the reservation, WE TELL YOU that we have two kids ages 3 and 5 travelling with us. WHY DOES YOUR SYSTEM BREAK US UP INTO 3+ GROUPS? It just ends up in more work for your gate agents to put us together as well as you can before the flight. This happened on the flight out and the flight back. Also, on the flight back the agent and crew had to bump people who had already established themselves in their assigned seats in order to fit us in in a sane way. Also, don't make us download a sketchy app to view in-flight entertainment. There are ways to deliver entertainment that don't require installation of software for just a flight. Not that it matters to us, because entertainment wasn't available on the flight to cabo."

Not to mention weren't even all the way in the back Glad to see a few people up front able to eat..."

Cons: "I'm tired of being crammed into small and uncomfortable seats. It seems comfort is only for people who can afford it. Headrests were non-existent. I'm not extraordinarily tall but the seat stopped just above my neck and felt like a hard, sharp surface rather than something soft and padded. And, of course, there's not enough leg room. Especially once the person in front of you leans back. I don't mean to sound petty but it felt like the airline was more worried about maximizing profits at the expense of their guest's comfort."
Pros: "Was upgraded to premium economy in order to accommodate a family that wanted to be seated together. Never been upgraded in my life. The seat was very comfortable and legroom excellent. I was exhausted from a long weekend and not feeling well but managed to sleep almost the entire four hours without being bothered. The flight attendants left me a snack in my seat pocket which was very much appreciated. Almost wish I hadn't slept so much of the flight so I could've witnessed other amenities and service of flight attendants."

Cons: "my original ticket had a tsa pre-check on it,when i tried to go thru security it would not read so i was told to go back to the counter to have it reprinted,mind you the lines to go thru screening were hundreds of people long that morning,so i did. the reprinted ticket did not have the tsa precheck on it but the ticketperson said it would be fine if i just showed the original. not what happened,i was sent all the way back to the end of general boarding and consequently nearly missed my flight. also there was zero air in the aircraft,it was stifling hot,smelly and miserable.and once again zero ackowledgement of any mvp gold statis of any kind. im starting to wonder whats the point anymore? you used to be alot more ......nice,i guess. and honestly how many very old wrinkled up senior citizens do you guys hire? i dont feel like most of the crew would really be able to handle any type of crisis if there was one. sorry ,i used to be very happy with you and now have been taking Delta more often."
Pros: "The flight crew was good, and the flight was quick once we got on the plane - which was 1 hour 45 minutes after we should have!"
Cons: "I got on the second leg of a flight from Seattle to Palm Springs at San Francisco. First, the flight arrived an hour late. Passengers from Seattle said that the loading crew somehow dented the wall to the luggage area (?) and they had to inspect it before flying. When it finally got to SFO, we boarded the plane at first, and then had to deplane back into the airport because they had (over?)filled the wrong fuel tank. So they had to empty that tank and fill another I guess? Don't know if the tank they filled was on the other side of the dented luggage area. The announcements from the desk were puzzling, and tended to be every 10 minutes telling us to wait 10 minutes instead of giving a good estimate so we didn't need to stand at the gate the whole time. After about 50 more minutes we boarded again and the plane took off OK. But there needs to be serious improvement in communication between the crew on the ground (gas & luggage etc) and the pilot and the desk crew, and between all of them and their paying customers."
Pros: "I can't say enough great things about this airline! This was my first time on Alaska and it definitely won't be my last. We had some weather issues come up as we were about to take off. The pilot kept us up today on info, the flight crew brought water & anything else people needed before take off. It was a short delay but you would have thought we were going to be there for hours because they were all so attentive. It was the smoothest flight (THERE WAS CRAZY WEATHER EVERYWHERE!!) but our pilots made sure we had the smoothest safest flight possible. I could go on forever! This airline went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure we were comfortable and had a great flight."

Pros: "Service was excellent as always. I was cold and reluctant to say anything. Seemed like lots were asking for hot drinks and bundled up so the stewardess asked the pilot to crank up the heat. (No one had requested this!) At that moment I realized, many of us are afraid due to recent things on the news. I am a frequent and long-term traveller so if I felt it, you can be sure others do too. It is an industry problem, not your fault, but Alaska has to address it. Even if people don't know that they are angry or afraid, they are going to be reactive--aggressive or passive and/or resistant.... I would encourage you to bring the issue to the surface and remind your travellers on every flight that they can expect excellent service, pleasant responsiveness. Say something or do something that gets at the idea that the Alaska staff is protective of each passenger. One idea would be to have the stewardess remind people of the call light and encourage passengers to use it if they have any questions or concerns, or come see them in the back when it is safe to leave the seat."

Cons: "They weight the value of 1st leg much higher than the return AND they want to charge you $125 change fee. My grandma passed away and I needed to reschedule my itinerary. Alaska stuck to their policies (you know, those pages of microscopic text that is written by lawyers for sole reason of screwing the customer.) I just felt really abused; told them to keep the useless "credit". I booked with Delta. At what point does a company forget who they are supposed to be serving? Perhaps the people that are actually giving you money and keeping you in business?"
Pros: "The prices were decent and the personnel at the airport check in counter were friendly and helpful. The flight was short but it was nice to have the seat-back chargers to recharge my phone."
Cons: "The onboard crew seed a little stiff. They were very selective - the two flight attendants in first class & coach - with whom they greeted good morning / hello. I watched this from my seat in disappointment. I needed to ask for a seat extender as I'm currently recovering from surgery and needed a little room around the bandages and I had to ask several times even though there was not a lot of pre-flight activity. They were standing around in the aisle. I make note of this type of behavior because I fly frequently for work on a variety of airlines and this is my first experience with Alaska Air."

Lots of time on the tarmac at both ends. LOTS of crew announcements that didn’t need to be made.

The flight was ok, the baggage claim took almost 2 hours. :(

Delayed with no updates and zero taking care of passengers

Crew was arrogant and obnoxious. Wouldn’t help me pick up trash and another poured coffee on me twice, with one pathetic “sorry”. Flight attendants had so much baggage that passengers couldn’t find space in the overhead compartments causing a significant delay in our departure. In bound aircraft was late arriving from Haiti exasperating the situation. Based on this trip I would not recommend jet blue to anyone

Cons: "Jet Blue provided 5 sequential delay messages over an hour. Their inability to better estimate departure is disappointing. The real problem is that delay was caused directly by the airline's incompetence. There were no weather issues, the takeoff spots were available. They simply failed to load snacks. Although there WAS a minor prior delay bc a slightly late plane arrival, we eventually were delayed about an extra hour to supply snacks on a 4-hr flight. Given the ground crew had EXTRA time to load and also considering the tiny set of options offered, this is senseless. Further, b/c they ran out of overhead bins, they offered to GATE check my luggage. This was essentially a lie - they put it with checked bags, unlike the gate checked items I watched others retrieve. The combination of these errors led me to arrive at the car rental desk after closure. This caused me to incur a taxi fare, so spend 30 min or so working out an alternative rental the following day, and then yet ANOTHER cab to the Car Desk to get the car. This is the only time in my hundred or so car rentals anything like this has happened. I will certainly think twice (or more) before booking Jet Blue again."

Cons: "Annoying and time consuming to discover that I couldn’t check in for my flight anywhere besides the counter at JFK because I had two layovers and that JetBlue and Hawaiian had completely different itineraries for me. And then when the flight attendant who checked me in mocked my 2 layover itinerary and said there was a direct flight to HNL from JFK leaving later that morning, she at least could have tried to sell me a seat on that flight, rather than rudely laugh at me “I guess you can only do what you can do” like I was too poor or something. That was annoying. I’m bored of the JetBlue snack selection it’s been the same for years."

Cons: "To start, the plane was delayed due to inflight crew getting in late which is fine.. but our departure time never updated and the attendants were transparent but never mentioned a new time. After onboarding we got stuck on the tarmac due to traffic. Flight took off with turbulence to start and finally after 45 mins we got bottles of water. I asked crew if they would come around with more... I was starving and also have the perk of free alcoholic beverages in flight. I was offered neither and we only received chips 1+ hour into the flight. One of our TVs broke and the crew wasn’t helpful in an alternative... Overall worst Jetblue exp I’ve had to date, and I’ve flown with them a lot due to my Mosaic status.."

Cons: "When I arrived at JFK after 14 hours long flight on Emirates, the service counter was understaffed with 1 hour long lines! Un-acceptable! Especially, since all I needed is to re-print my boarding pass, because US TSA would not accept the boarding pass printed by Emirates in India. The kiosk would not recognize my name on reservation! The kiosk did not recognize my recently issued US passport! Bloody annoying! Only able to print the pass after keying reservation code - yet, again not acceptable! The other, earlier attempts should have recognized me and found my reservation! Very upset with quality of service on the ground!"

Cons: "From the time I got to the gate 90 minutes before flight to the time I got off it was terrable. Delays before boarding with no explanation then the same continued onboarding. First it was waiting for bags. Strange when there's a 2 hour+ delay that all the bags weren't there? Then waiting for paperwork followed by the part they needed was incorrect and a new one was on it's way from the hanger.. Finally departed 1 hour plus later. The plane was an old cattle car. Free TV didn't work right, so at did not recline (no it wasn't an exit row.). Most of the crew and gate attendants were rude and indifferent except for on flight attendant. The entire row of seats didn't recline at all. She was very apologetic and acknowledged it was uncomfortable especially on a 5+hour flight. She did offer us something to eat, blankets earbud. Still my back was killing me upon arrival at Phoenix. JEt Blue. Get your act together. This is unacceptable."

At no point was there a gate change announcement overhead (there were gate change announcements made for flights to Bermuda, Boston and San Francisco). During the boarding process many people stood and went in before their group was called, one agent noticed it and told the agent checking the boarding passes “all of these people are group A?” To which the other agent replied: “no, but I can’t do anything about it”. If there are group assignments, they need to honor that, as some people pay to board earlier."

That being said I was sorry to have to have experienced this. Even sitting on the runway before taking off the ride was uncomfortable as we swerved our way to the take off position. The weather was nice and it felt so strange that were going back and forth as if the path was filled with sharp S-curves. Then the entire flight was bumpy as we went up and down and all around. I would say there was about 20 mins of smooth air the entire flight. Then there was the last 90 minutes which was absolutely terrifying. I know that the turbulence can't be helped but I do feel the Flight attendants were not very accommodating during it. I sat near the back and they just sat there and chit chatted about something they were meeting up to do later while people were up and about when the seat belt sign was on. Then there was a baby screaming for many hours and they never tried at all to help the parents or anything calm them. They mostly just sat in the back, complained it was bumpy and laughed about how people were agitated because of it. I found it to be so much more frustrating that in addition to the bumpy air, crying baby and passengers just roaming around we also had to deal with the attendants laughing about how uncomfortable we were. It was not what I have ever experienced before and I truly hope I never have to experience again on JetBlue."
Pros: "The crew was great, and so was a JetBlue pilot dead-heading in the seat next to me. I liked the space in the MoreSpace seat I paid for. I relieved that the upgrade seat came with boarding in the first group. Some airlines you pay for the seat, but you're still group 3 or 4 and, meaning all sorts of anxiety about the most miserable part of any flight, the dreaded fight for the overhead bins, wondering it you'll have to check the bag and then wait for it at the destination. Thank you for removing that."

We were suppose to arrive at our destination at twenty minutes after midnight, and instead did not arrive until 2:30 a.m. You felt like the pilot got on the plane when you did with no planning involved on how to get to Austin. I later learned that Jet Blue has the worst on time record of all the airlines. And you got nothing to compensate you for the inconvenience. I am really disappointed in Kayak for not making it known on our ticket that we were flying from New York to Austin on Jet Blue. When buying my tickets on Kayak, it appeared on my itinerary that all my flights were on Iceland Air. It was very confusing to me, as I don't travel very frequently. And airport staff is not very helpful when you are in this situation. Due to all the confusion, I will probably use another airline search tool for my next trip to see if I can lessen the confusion."

That flight was delayed the following day. Was diverted to Baltimore only to find out only some of us on our flight are getting out by a rude agent. Then no information at all. Had to run to catch an amtrak. Later found out if I stayed I would have stayed another 13 hours in Baltimore. Missed work and had no one home to take care of my family. Oh, and travel insurance will not cover anything. The plane itself was falling apart. Seat was broken and dirty. Everyones lights were broken and it smelled."

In addition, I had requested a price reduction when I booked the flight since JetBlue's website is buggy and the price went up $80 in front of my eyes while other people booked the seat I wanted, and they weren't willing to give me anything."

Got to LA 3 hours late so had to deal with horrible rush hour traffic, which we had hoped to avoid had we taken off on time."

Pointed out that there was another flight that had also been delayed and therefore hadn't left yet - she agreed, put me on standby. At the gate, the boarding crew did not know what they were doing. The plane was 20% empty but crew made situation very hectic by giving standby passengers seats, taking them away, and then realizing there was actually enough room on the plane. Crew was friendly but incompetent in terms of problem solving."

The flight was delayed with an hour.."
Cons: "TSA held me up with a 30 minute bag check so I arrived for an 11:30 AM flight at 11:16 AM. I was told that because I was a minute late they wouldn't let me on even though the plane was still in the runway and connected to the terminal. I asked to speak to a supervisor and the agent disappeared for 10 minutes while the plane took off. I then went to go speak to a customer service agent who wouldn't even look at me while I spoke. She actually started listening to and talking with another agent while I was talking to her. Then when I was finished, she started arguing with me until another agent said "he's not worth it." JetBlue just lost my business."

Was receiving alerts beginning from that morning notifying of delays which continued as I waited at the airport that night. This seems to happen frequently and nothing is ever done to make it up to travelers. On the plane, the audio for the tv had static so you couldn't actually hear anything. It doesn't seem like you can turn the tvs off, which is annoying as they emit light, so if you want to sleep you have to deal with the light from your tv."

Was re booked for a flight to lax ( which was not my destination) then have to get an uber down to San Diego. Customer service was terrible and the lines were unbearable. Was my first time flying jet blue. Not sure if I would fly with them again."

Boarding was on time (if not a little early). The flight was unfortunately not properly catered for snack boxes in main cabin. This is likely a one off instance, but it’s a long flight for no food options other than pretzels and Biscoffs. Service was attentive and friendly. This particular flight offered Delta’s DeltaOne lay flat first class seats. Would highly recommend. Flight left on time and arrived early!

2hours delayed and didn't give notification right away 🤷‍♀️. I even lost my food to rush to go to the airport. Paid $60 for seafood plate ending just leave it almost halfway on my way to the airport find out the flight was delayed. I wish they have more accurate policy to let passengers knows for any problems about the flight as soon or as early they can

Anyone that purchased a Delta 1st Class seat should have access to the Delta Sky Club. My wife and I purchased 1st Class tickets for a Delta flight from SeaTac to Washington Dulles but were denied entrance to the SeaTac Delta Sky Club because we did have an American Express card.

A surprise for us was being asked if we would like to move seats from the back of the aircraft to Comfort Economy (we think it was to do with weight balance! but appreciated very much none the less). The flight attendants were very professional and helpful, as you would hope all attendants on all airlines would be. We'd gladly fly Delta again anytime."

Got back to SD 4 hours after scheduled time."

This was treated as an inconvenience. During and after boarding, flight attendants addressed passengers rudely when encouraging them to take their seats in a timely fashion. Later, when my seat mate politely asked a FA to repeat the food options, she asked, "Excuse me?" several times and seemed very irritated to have to repeat the choices for him. Also, near the end of the flight, a pillow was on the ground and a FA asked those seated in my row to pick it up. We responded that it wasn't ours and she said something to the effect of, "Oh yeah? So how did it get there?" (Maybe because someone else dropped it and we didn't notice?) The FAs seemed irritated to serve passengers at all. Each time they passed through for beverage or meal service, I felt like I was imposing on them. I have never witnessed anything quite like it. Makes me wonder why they were all so upset and and felt it appropriate to speak and act disrespectfully toward customers. (Delta, do you have any insights?) I hope they all got a good night's rest after that haul."

Luggage is checked luggage is $25; on my flight to Minneapolis, my luggage was lost for 30 hrs and wet on the inside when my daughter picked it up the next afternoon. It was not raining when our flight took off from NYC. The seats seem thinner on the cushion and if someone puts their seat in front of you, even slightly, it is very cramped. The flight was about 1/2 hour late taking off with what I counted as at least 10 planes ahead of us - most domestic - SW, other SunCountry and Delta. I have flown Sun Country periodically for the last 10 years. Now, I am done for all the reasons listed above. I have flown on other airlines this year and other than Alaska this was the least comfortable - actually it occured to me in an emergency it would have been very difficult to get out of my row. I understand this is a business - just not interested in buying from it."
Cons: "On July 7th, I was flying from JFK to MSP and then from MSP to PDX. Somewhere on the way, Sun Country Airlines lost my bag and they don't seem to have any idea where it might be. I was forced to spend my entire vacation without my bag. It's been 16 days, we called the baggage services office several times, wrote e-mails, even talked to someone in person in the MSP office and yet nobody's able to help. All we got were promises for a call back about the status of the claim, but nobody ever calls or responds to e-mails. I'm extremely disappointed and will call DOT and FAA if I don't get a response very soon."

Eventually I was told that I would have to make my own arrangements for my connecting flight and the connecting airline (Alaska-which must be an affiliate as I had been booked for a Roundtrip ticket via Sun Country) would be responsible for that. So Sun Country just left me hanging and it was up to me to work with Alaska to complete the second leg of my trip."
Cons: "Sun Country should warn the average family and business traveler if they intend to cater to drunk 20/30 yr old adults on the first leg of their Florida vacation. Instead, 2 of the flight attendants joined in the loud chants and cheers. The flight attendants attitude was disappointing, and unprofessional. Their motto should be "Party Plane". About 12 loud and obnoxious party goers made it a miserable flight. One flight attendant asked them to quiet down. Two flight attendants joined in with the partying and yelled and chanted along with them. One flight attendant ignored the situation."

Cons: "Flight 103 was supposed to be at 1:30. Delayed at 10 or 11 am to 3:08. A little in the day to have a major delay putting us into Vegas right at rush hour with higher taxi pricing and headache. Once we were at the airport the delays continued. We didn't finish boarding the plane until after 330. And then had to sit on the tarmac while they tried to squeeze us in. Then landing you could tell we were circling airport while they tried to find a spot for us to land, either that or it was a bad route because it involved a lot of sharp turns. We landed almost two hours late, which for a 48 hour Vegas trip is harsh. All we got in return was an apology. Usually other airlines will at least give you the full can of pop or something minor to off set the bigger inconvience."

Cons: "Flight was 2:00 hours late, which felt even longer because my in-bound flight on Thursday was 1:30 hours late. They didn't really explain why it was late. They just said "traffic in the NYC area," which could mean anything. I didn't get a ticket until the gate, which I hate. And because the flight was delayed, I never got a ticket until we boarded. The only good thing was they gave me an exit row, which was comfortable and allowed me to get on the plane first. But that was just luck. Probably not flying Sun Country again."

Pros: "The boarding method went the quickest of all flights I've been on for both flights. Check-in in MSP was quick and some of the attendants were friendly based on what I overheard. Staff in SAN was friendly."
Cons: "A new mom was in the aisle walking to keep her baby quiet and to stretch her legs (after the drink, snack, and trash carts had gone by) and had her back to a flight attendant also coming down the aisle. She was talking to another parent on the flight when the attendant came behind her and told the woman, "Excuse me. Some of us are still working." Her tone was suuuuper rude and uncalled for. A friendly "excuse me, please" would have been just fine and would have gotten the job done. I went to the bathroom a couple minutes later and the attendant was on her break and eating, so maybe she was hangry, but still! Seats were uncomfortable on both flights, but not as bad as Spirit Airlines. I had bad low back pain afterwards, even after getting up to walk partway through the flight. This is something I've experienced on a couple other airlines too, but the legroom on planes has gotten worse. For those of us with long legs, it's a huge pain. I'm 5'9", so I can't imagine how it is for someone taller. The legroom on Sun Country was just as bad as other flights. Probably a strange complaint, but the seat back pocket had a bar running in the hem, so when I put my water bottle inside, the entire pocket stuck out as far as my water bottle. This meant I had to choose between having the pocket rub against my knees or hold my water bottle between my thighs. Neither were ideal. The check-in in San Diego was painfully slow. There were three people standing there, but only one person seemed to be checking people in. The staff was friendly here. A Sun Country employee at MSP told a man he had to check his carry-on suitcase because the wheels stuck out of Sun Country's tiny metal carry-on test box a CENTIMETER. I kid you not. Absolutely ridiculous. I saw much larger luggage come onto the flight. The woman who checked me in was quick but I wasn't able to ask any questions before being sent away. No free snacks or entertainment which seem to be included on most other similarly priced airlines. The food for purchase (burgers and Jimmy Johns or something) made the plane smell bad. I asked for coffee with cream and sugar as my complimentary drink and was given the powdered creamer packets. Fine, okay, I understand if that's all they have, but then I saw them walking through the aisle later offering coffee and they had creamer cups in their aprons! No one asked me which kind I wanted. :("

No explanation whatsoever was given about what was going on. The aisles on the plane were so narrow that I could just barely roll my carry-on bag down it. The head of the guy sitting in front of me was almost in my lap. I couldn't even lower my tray table all the way down to a flat position to set my beverage upon because his seat was so close to mine. When the flight was almost to its destination, we had to circle the airport for awhile because Obama was landing at this time too. We were never told of this possibility until it actually happened. Why not ? We arrived about an hour and a half later than our scheduled time. With all these inconveniences to us, absolutely nothing complimentary was given to us passengers to make up for their incompetence and how our travel plans may have been disrupted. This was a bad experience and my last with Sun Country."

Cons: "From the time we were waiting for the plane, the attendants at the airport gate came across rude / and threatening when asking for people to check their carry-ons. While we had no carry-ons it was very striking as I have never heard this kind of communication in decades of traveling with different airlines. While on the plane, we sat in the absolute back seat, and also caught "attitude" of attendants when they communicated to one another about the carry-ons they were holding for the agent. Eye-rolling and tone. These frustrations should not be aired to customers."

Two meals were served in the First class during 9hr long flight! Great for domestic!!! Mai Tai drink was excellent!

Did not see any way to order a vegan meal during the ticket purchase or checkin process. There were no vegan meal options offered on the plane making the trip a long hungry one. Other than that, the crew was very good and the flight was very smooth and on time.

It left on time and arrived a few minutes early. The whole process of checking in, seating (got my upgrade thankfully!), and the meals (superb multi-grain healthy salad) were great. It arrived on time (actually a few minutes early). American continue to keep up its promise of customer service. I love being part of the American traveller family.

I didn’t like that they keep changing stuff of the trip, like the flight it self from Guayaquil to Nyc i did a stupid scale to chicago, and one dat before my return trip they change the bag polite

Pros: "Despite getting no updates, our flight itinerary was changed from a 3.30pm flight to a 9.20pm flight. Unfortunately this was after landing from Milan at 1.30 with two small children so we had already had a very long day. We absolutely never would have booked this flight itinerary had we known of the change."
Cons: "I am beyond stunned that our flight itinerary was changed from 3.30pm to 9.20pm with no notification. This is absolutely unreasonable and inexcusable made even worse that we had already had a very long journey from Milan to JFK with two small children. Evidently the issue was that we booked via a 3rd party off the kayak site and not directly with British airways. When American airways changed the flight from 3.30 to 3.25, the 3rd party company failed to file for our updated itinerary so British air/American air bumped us to the next flight at 9.20pm. We have long been loyal to kayak feeling it provides the best breadth of options and good pricing. Now we may use kayak to see all the options but I can’t booking directly with kayak anymore after this complete disaster. We ended up renting a car and driving from jfk to Boston, getting home 23 hours after our journey had started, stressed, beyond exhausted and now have to return the rental car. Thanks kayak."

There was subpar entertainment options that hadn’t been updated since at least the 90s, which was made even less acceptable since it was literally the only option for entertainment on a 7+ hour flight when none of the overhead lights worked. For a ticket that cost more than $1200, the failure of the airline on nearly all levels to provide standard services was completely unacceptable."

Cons: "The plane itself was clearly an older model, lacking many amenities I’ve come to expect flying coach. The overhead compartments were too small for larger carryon luggage, and no one on the crew alerted passengers to this. Thus, many passengers had to go against the traffic of those still boarding to find space for luggage. My seat was at the back of the plane so I had to spend close to 15 extra minutes walking back to the front against boarding passengers to find a place to put my luggage. A simple warning from the crew when I boarded would have prevented mine and many others unnecessary trouble simply boarding. During a very turbulent flight, the captain nor the crew made any announcements about turbulence, our safety, or our progress. Also during the flight, one of the flight attendants got into an awkward verbal spat with one of the passengers. Completely unprofessional and bothersome. Additionally, I had fallen asleep when dinner was being first served, but woke up before it was finished. A flight attendant approached me and asked if I’d like a dinner to which I replied “Yes”. The flight attendant never returned with a dinner for me, thus I did not eat the dinner, which I had paid for. Lastly, and perhaps most disturbing, was what transpired when a passenger had a medical emergency. With no warning, all of the airplane lights turned on and a loud “CODE RED” was announced over the sound system. Imagine being a sleeping passenger like myself, during a very turbulent flight, to be suddenly awoken to bright lights and a CODE RED shouted loudly over the PA. I’m not overexaggerating when I say that I was preparing for the worst. A truly terrifying moment that I am certain was shared with many others on board. To make matters even worse, as a flight attendant rushed to find a first aid kit (which she had trouble finding) she opened up the compartment over my partners seat and dropped a passengers ipad on her head. The flight attendant did return to apologize, but it was little consolation compared to the stress and panic the crew created. I have flown many times, and this was easily the worst flight of my life. American Airlines should be ashamed of the conditions they put their passengers in and they have lost two customers for good."
Cons: "We left two hours after scheduled departure bc 1) the plane was late from prior flight and had to be cleaned, 2) engine check delayed the flight, 3) strong winds forced the airport (JFK) to use only one runway for departures and so on top of our plane delays we were delayed an extra half hour bc of airplane traffic. No entertainment onboard, meaning no screen on back of seat in front for movies, tv shows, etc. Food options were poor, especially breakfast (too much sugar content in all contents of “continental breakfast” pack."

Cons: "Business class, Boeing 767-300 The seating configuration was 1/2/1 I would give these seats on a scale from 1 to 10 a 5, this was a very basic B/C seat, without a TV screen integrated to the seat in front of you, instead the flight crew hand out individual passenger entertainment systems, that are a pain to deal with and get in the way of everything your trying to do (ie eat, work, sleep.) I’m only 5’9 and I found when the seat was in the bed mode, the seat slopped down very slightly, and your feet would end up underneath the side table to the row of seats in front of you. As i wear a size 13 shoe, i found that space to be rather cramped especially for my feet."

Cons: "1) Biggest complaint is not about the actual flight we were on, but the one we missed, who left the gate Early, even though they knew we had landed and other people from our BCN to JFK flight made it. EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING, esp since all other flights to DC out of JFK were cancelled. 2) We were on the last row of the plane so our seats didn’t recline. Annoying at best bc the flight was so short, but would have been nice since we had been traveling for 18 hours by that point (because of the late flight, missed connection, cancelled JFK flights, etc)."
Cons: "The e-ticket did not include the terminal information. As it was an Iberia flight I went to the terminal 7 where Iberia operates. However, after waiting on line when I got to the counter the attendant informed me that the flight was operated by American Airlines and I had to go to terminal 8. I ran to terminal 8 but by the time I got to the check in it was 6:15 and they said they said the check-in for the flight at 7(which was actually at 6:55pm) was closed for check-in. I was lucky enough that there was another Iberia flight (this one from terminal 7) st 8:30pm and the supervisor was able to find me a spot in that flight."
Cons: "The flight I booked was misrepresented. I thought I was booking a BA flight only to find it was American Airlines. This changed the terminal I was to go to and the gate in which our Italian non-english speaking driver was to meet us at. This impacted seating selection, as well. Was forced to buy a premium seat when I realized the seating chart did not appear when I purchased the tickets. Also, flight was three hours late upon arrival. I understand safety is paramount and am grateful we eventually were able to find another plane, but it begs to speculate if things would have been smoother on a BA plane."

Cons: "This plane is very small for an international flight, and it does not have the proper entertainment system for long flights. To top it off, the plane was very smelly; I got a headache because of it. We also had to return to the gate due to a technical issue and ended up leaving almost two hours late, which defeated the purpose of picking this flight over the rest as it was the one that was supposed to land in Milan the earliest. I will be careful next time I pick a flight to check what kind of airplane they're using. My assumption that international flights have the best airplanes seems to be wrong :(."

Cons: "Very old plane. Had the screens every 4-5 aisles. No control over the entertainment. Very uncomfortable seats, but so are almost every other airlines. The worst part about this flight was that I traveled with my girlfriend and when I went to check in, 24 hours before, there were only single seats left and there were so many open seats together that were considered “preferred” and had to pay $80 for just one “preferred” seat just so we can sit together on an 8 hour long flight. The seat didn’t even have any extra legroom or anything, it was a normal seat. American Airlines is just trying to squeeze money out of anything they can."

My girlfriend flew this same plane and had even longer delays plus needed to divert In flight and turn around and land in heathrow on a mxp-jfk route (they were over the Atlantic). Problems continue for me 2 months later on this route and as a pattern it's incredibly unsettling. I'm questioning whether taking the return flight on a plane that's clearly begging to be retired"

Cons: "Flight delayed by 5 hours last minute, making my layover 17 hours long. The delay caused my car rental place to give away my reservation so I had to wait an additional 2.5 hours to get a rental car. The primary reason for my travel was a wedding and although I made the actual wedding, I missed most of the pre-wedding activities that I had rsvped for. The seats were really uncomfortable, particularly the lack of low back support. I was very sore after the flight and was unable to sleep despite having been awake for over 24 hours prior to the flight. We were finally given meal tickets but was unable to use as everything closed at 10pm."

Cons: "I bought travel insurance as I do with any trip. I have a complicated family emergency that forced me to call off the trip. Being that I bought trip insurance, I felt good. Well turns out they make you jump through so many hoops that your travel insurance fee is useless. I sent a letter to Allianz (the company that handles the travel insurance) and blasted them for their insensitivity in a difficult time. Going forward, I will not be purchasing travel insurance in the future. It may sound irrational but if you think about it, travel insurance is the tax on gullible people. You hear travel insurance and one assumes that if you spend the extra money on the insurance and something comes up, you can at least get much of your money back. Don't count on it! It's a 1/1000 chance they will do the right thing so the odds are not in people's favor. If you want to be smart, use the money you would have spent on travel insurance on some pre flight cocktails at the airport bar. Air travel is hellish enough without scams like Allianz!"

I had work and responsabilities the next day. TThe scheduled trip was supposed to take off at 7:45. Boarding started late and was very slow. My bag fit the meassurements and still was forced to check it (which I did not want to do as I did not want to be waiting an hour for my bag at my arrival as I had work early the next day. In addition there was airplaine traffic as it was "rush hour" instead of flying at 7:45 we departed almost at 9pm!!!! Have to pay for food Quality of tv monitors very poor And in an uncomfortable position No movie options No wifi although stated the aircraft has Non functioning electrical plug"
Cons: "The check in process at JFK was a disaster. The kiosk check in machines were constantly malfunctioning, where to line up was unclear, and staff acted frustrated. After several failed attempts with the kiosks you have to wait in line to check in at the counter anyways. It would have saved almost an hour of my time to just go straight to the counter-- had I been allowed to. I wanted to check a bag which contained some fragile items. Several bottles of wine which I wrapped in bubble wrap and cushioned with my packed clothes. I requested a "Fragile" sticker to be put on my bag. I was told "We don't do that here". So I asked if they handle ALL bags with extreme care and I was laughed at and told to go on my way. When I got my bag at my destination-- the outside of my leather suitcase was sliced to the lining. There were scuff marks and torn leather. My wine had been completely shattered. Not just a crack in the bottle, but flattened completely. My clothes were stained, my bag ruined. I don't know if putting a fragile sticker on would have prevented this, but I don't understand why they just "don't do that". We are trusting our property to the airline when we check bags. I will never trust American Airlines ever again. They don't want to know if I have anything fragile, and they don't care when I tell them."
Cons: "Our flight was 3 + hours behind schedule. We didn't get to take off until around 11:30pm when our flight was supposed to take off at 7:05pm. I have missed my itinerary and cruise trip with family members. Now I have to wait 2 days to catch a cruise and reunite with my family in Italy. It's not fear that the airline don't take consideration for this kind of situation. We understand that Things happens and the airline takes precautions to make sure everything is okay before take off. However, I'm very frustrated and disappointed."
Cons: "My family and I make I JFK -LAX reservation 4 months ago. We came to LAX three hours before our flight to make sure we get good seats. At the checking kiosk we did not have the option to pick seats , there was a message on the boarding pass that said to go see boarding agent. So we did, appreantly they over booked the trip and they were looking for volunteers to give up their seats!! Why did we have to be on stand by if our booking was confirmed 4 months ago!! They made us wait until the gate was closed and then they found us seats . This trip caused us mental anguish I will never fly American Airlines again"

Held on the plane for 4 hours, another 4 hours in terminal of the closed airport once allowed to deplane, no communication, no food or water, put up in a hotel an hour and half away despite this being NYC, terrible customer service, no compensation, unable to get tofinal destination earlier than 24 hours later missed events in final destination overall financial and personal losses due to the inadequacy of the airline."

Cons: "Delayed 1 hour because crew announced there was a discrepancy between # passengers boarding central records. Flight crew didn't do anything to comfort passengers during this. Captain made one announcement about turbulence once at the beginning but nothing else for 1/2 hour or longer long turbulence period. Crew took away tray without asking. Ran out of water. Doors did not open for quite awhile after docking but crew said nothing. Seats so small one had to keep elbows glued to body to eat without touching neighbors. Felt like cattle being driven to slaughter. Min"

Cons: "AA staff at JFK airport were rude and unhelpful. Staff onboard the flight were excellent."
Cons: "Despite paying 5 months in advance, couldn't check in online or reserve seats without paying extra. AA customer service told me there were no more "complimentary " seats!! Very tight legroom in cabin."
Pros: "The crew were beyond excellent and tried to help with the seats. They were also very apologetic for the seat issue."
Cons: "Our seats had no power and couldn't adjust. The crew manually did it for us but we never got it to go close to flat. We were on an old 757 which is such an embarrassing product for AA compared to the new or refurbished planes."
