Location is great, price was fair, view was good and bed was pretty comfortable. Room setup is kinda funky... The shower is open to the room with clear glass doors all around which would be a bit awkward depending who you're traveling with. There's a curtain to divide the room but it still weird... Cleaning is sub-par. Bleach stains on the floor never look good. Sink wasn't draining which was an easy fix for us but the faucet was hanging on like a loose tooth. Overall the room we had needs a good once-over. That was one of 1000+ rooms available so that might be different than many others.
Very good location. Close to everything Rooms are a little small
location, close to shops and public transportation checking in reminded me of Las Vegas. Very slow and long lines. Rooms were very small. Toilet in closet like room next to shower with glass.
Location was great.... Loved the spa. The rooms are very comfortable. No free internet.
Excellent location with access to the trams, S and U bahn. Comprehensive breakfast that was more than adequate. Awkward transparent walls around the shower with only a white curtain surrounding it. Makes it a bit awkward if traveling with a friend.
Stay on an upper floor for a great view of the city. Arrived early on our first night and even though we were staying 2 nights, charged 2 euros per bag until our room was ready. 8 euros total. Also the internet was not included in the price.
The location in combination with a room with view The price of the WiFi use is crazy!
The Internet connection was not good. The speed was low and the connectivity was lost every now and then. To begin with, for a hotel like yours, it's already unacceptable that the Internet is not included in the price.
Price, location, view, breakfast. It was very warm in the hotel room. Too warm. The bathroom tub didn't drain well, and it was a hassle to get in/ get out of it. Concierge was not very helpful.
Staff was extremely helpful. Location. Great view. Tidy no fuss rooms. Price. Wifi sucked. (plus it cost 9€ a day— they were apologetic and did make adjustments.)
It didn't take me long to figure out that customer service was not a main priority. I had to ask to have my air conditioner checked three times before they moved me to a different room. It was clearly an inconvenience 2 the customer service desk to do this. They also had me pack up all of my things and bring everything all the way down 28 floors before they would tell me where my new room would be. It would have taken a lot less time just to know and put my things on a cart and go directly to the room I was being transferred to. They did not say sorry for the inconvenience or anything. I even checked out a day early and they didn't even say anything about it. It was almost like, they looked at my situation as though it was my problem and why should they do anything for me? The fact that the staff did not care. The hotel is completely surrounded buy a square that smells like garbage and urine. There were protesters and police officers everywhere. Until late at night I could hear chanting over and over about Middle East War.
The staff, the balcony, the room and the aquriam.
Great location near the museum island and Alexanderplatz. Friendly and helpful staff, original setting with huge acquarium in the hall. We had a double bed but it was actually two single beds joined together, uncomfortable gap between mattresses, not to be expected for a hotel of this level.
the aquarium is spectacular and the hotel at all is very modern; location is very good but still quiet (Museumsinsel) and for two to three nights the place is nice, many different restaurants, excellent breakfast rooms are small, no luggage service (you need to get your suitcases up yourself... and out again to the taxi... 5 star??), atmosphere of the main hall is like a 'railway station' - very strange acoustics and a kind of cold,
aquarium Staff not as professional as I would have expected - we arrived early and left our bag, were told they'd phone when room ready so we went for walk in snow and never got call. Also concierge tried to charge us for free internet.
service staff was very helpful and polite, above expectations room could be warmer
We loved the hotel...great location, beautiful decor, comfortable and clean, plus the Aqua Dom view was outstanding! We'd stay here again in a heartbeat (and we will be back!) Nothing!
the fact that a 5 star hotel did not include slippers and bathrobes in the room, and that the furniture was at ikea-level standards
The atmosphere and ambience of the hotel was amazing. All the facilities where top class, in particular the spectacular 15m high aquarium within the lobby area. this is well worth a visit alone.
The magnificent aquarium, very helpful and polite hotel staff, very close taxi station, nice ambiance of the lobby the room temperature can be warmer, not enough english channels on the tv
Staff were efficient, friendly and accommodating. Our room was very comfortable and well designed. Room service and breakfasts were excellent.
Location was amazing. Lack of air conditioning, though I gather that's usual for Germany.
The view of the aquarium from the room was super! Good location. The bar was a little pricey!
Location, Comfort Parking is expensive
BREAKFAST WAS GREAT. THE ROOM WAS VERY DUSTY.
Very clean modern hotel, ideal location for our 1st trip to Berlin, would not hesitate to stay there again.
Great location only five minutes from metro and train stations, shopping centres and restaurants. Hotel clean and comfortable. Reception staff very efficient. Wifi extra charge (very expensive) in rooms and only free in reception area. Hotel expensive.
Nice hotel and fantastic location, free wifi and helpful friendly staff.
The location is really good. Breakfast excellent, good price. Room interior was really nice and bed was super. Next Berlin trip I will also stay with you.
The hotel was great - the staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast was good, the rooms were remarcably clean. We liked the concept of the hotel.
Comfort and security.
H2 hotel fully booked on arrival, upgraded to Ramada next door, so this review relates to the Ramada.
Getrenntes Wohn- und Schlafzimmer (mit Kleinkind ideal). Großes Badezimmer mit Badewanne, Waschmaschine und Trockner. Küchenzeile gut ausgestattet. Alles sauber. Ideale Lage für Städtereisen. Bequemes Bett. Sofa war sehr unbequem!
Nice to make a quick meal and eat on the balcony. The Nesoresso machine was overpriced and capsules were not replenished as promised.
the situation, comfortable beds, clean, good breakfast and timetable
The position of the hotel is great and the room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast we excellent.
Spacious room. Quiet. Location not quite near busy metro.
central location, reasonable price no bath tub, internet expensive
Welcoming, very good location indeed (1 minute from S-Bahn, Hackescher Markt, Alexanderplatz, bus stops, cathedral, etc... yet extremely quiet), comfortable and quiet room. Room was a bit small, but it was a single so I'm used to this kind of thing and it was better than most.
Location and price Furniture ( looks cheap)
location, quiet, breakfast our second room (for our friends) was dark and small but quieter
Very convenient for transport to sites, shopping etc. Very close to good restaurants, bars and other evening entertainment. Staff were friendly and helpful and the meal we had in the hotel was really good too.
Convenience to museums and S-bahn You insisted on 50 euros for a 2-hr delay in checkout, which we chose to avoid at great inconvenience to our departure
Good location (in 3 minutes away from museums' island and Berlin's Dome), very tasty breakfasts, responsive staff
Reminds me of a Kimball or Westin chain - chic and comfortable. Great location in the heart of everything. Friendly staff gave me a complimentary beer.
Service by all employees, front desk, restaurant and housecleaning Good Restaurant with fair prices Good breakfast Nice modern room Good WiFi Easy access to public transportation It would be rated excellent if the Air Conditioning cooled the room! The room was too hot at night even with the thermostat set to the lowest position and fan to the highest. Made it difficult to sleep.
The location is very convenient to the Hackesher Markt train station, shopping and restaurants. It is also not too far to walk to Alexander Platz.
Loved the breakfast spread, rooms were very clean, staff super helpful. The location is great with lots of shops and restaurants near by.
Rooms were spacious, bed was comfortable, and everything worked well. Also really liked the 24/7 food area on the top floor. Breakfast was good. Fitness center was disappointing - more of a spa layout than a place to get a good workout in.
It was different from what a standard hotel is and the experience was great.
The rooms are large and comfortable. The breakfast room/lounge area has a great view of the city and has a really nice ambiance.
Good design hotel with cool service concept.
Nice design (for creative people), good bed (possible to get enough sleepl), friendly staff, near the center of the city no
Location close to heart of Berlin with a short the major museums, Unter den Linden, the S-Bahn. Immediate neighborhood is lively, interesting, and fun has much to offer in the way of shopping, cafes, markets, historical sights. Everything is within easy walking distance. Hotel staff is friendly, helpful and well informed. Upstairs cafe which serves breakfast and healthy all day snacks is a real bonus, as its adjacent self-service bar, computer stations and comfortable lounge area all with great views over the neighborhood. We thought that the shower and bathroom at the window side were brilliantly designed with worked well as office/dressing room/bathroom combination. We appreciated the many electrical outlets. Free internet worked well.
clean hotel and rooms friendly, cheerful and helpful staff great breakfast buffet great self service bar, restocked in real time the gym was closed for maintenance
everything! amazing design features, really great staff, good size room, good breakfast. nothing.
The location is great, the staff was very friendly and tried to remedy the problems that occured. The business lounge is very comfortable, has a beautiful view and offers drinks and snacks 24 hours which is very convenient. The design of the rooms is good, but not always very functional. Given that so many problems had occurred during my stay, the manager offered to invite me for a free stay next time. The heating did not work, it was cold in the room. I was offered to move into another room, but the staff could not find any free room where the heating functioned. The tiles in the bathroom/toiled are not heated and cold which is very uncomfortable. The room I moved into, had no slippers, the tv screen was blurred, a plug hang out of the wall and the toilet door knob fell off when opened. I drew this to the attention of the staff - I got some cheap spare slippers (not the original camper ones as foreseen). The hotel is quite new, but for the image the hotel wants to give and the room price, it was too many problems that the staff should have noticed and not the guest. Also, the bill should have been reduced significantly out of courtesy.
Close to restaurants, shopping, public transportation, Museum Island. Rooms are good size. Roof top restaurant-area has free snacks all day. Good breakfast with hot entrees. Room is a bit dark. Television doesn't have enough channels in English.
The staff were outstandingly helpful, the rooms clean and comfortable, and its central location was excellent for sightseeing. Many attractions were within walking distance and there were bus and rail stops nearby. Outside rooms are noisy and the rooms overlooking the internal courtyard are more expensive.
Location, warm and polite attitude of staff. N/A. Everything was fine!
Very helpful staff, very pleasant room (for nights 3 and 4) and excellent breakfasts. Small and noisy room first 2 nights (hotel was full)
Good position, very clean, nice staff small room, bed on the corner
Helpful staff Good location close to centre and S-Bahn Tram depot outside front door means noise for rooms at front, double glazing fine, but if hot, need windows open!
The central place of the hotel. The very kind personal. A wonderfull breakfest.
I had a very good time there. Love the breakfast in particular!
nice location/ good beds/friendly people
location was great, breakfast was very good, and staff was very friendly
location small room
Nice location, wonderful design, very clever staff, I liked the 24h breakfast concept a lot! wonderful bed. home like atmosphere in the bar. Egg and bacon cold when breakfast served at night
Very good location, innovative 'high tech' decor and facilities, very helpful and friendly staff with good english if needed. Liked iMac and nice washroom / shower. Room had some lack of storage for clothing and no bedside table in rather unconventional design. Relatively expensive for drinks / breakfast.
the bed in room was the high light, staff behind bar were very help full the room are to small with very poor wardrobe, the apple was hard to use with the staff not bothering to show the room or facalaties
Great design hotel with lovely and helpfull staff
Excellent location, very friendly staff, comfortable room, great design. No problem with early arrival, i.e. I got my room about three hours before the official check in time. The tiny Weinmeister street gets clogged with traffic in the mornings and is noisy (yet location is worth it). Breakfast is a la carte only (I prefer buffet). Some may dislike the absence of minibar in the room. But these are not serious complaints, all in all the hotel is really great.
It was calm, clean and comfortable, and the staff were welcoming and helpful. Felt that the supply of tea/coffee bags was inadequate, they should have been replenished each day. We also felt that the breakfast was mean and overpriced for a hotel of such a category.
Great location for Mitte district, travel, shopping etc. and very good hair salon downstairs. Staff were not at all helpful when asked to assist with restaurant bookings/recommendations or usual requests that you might expect to be met e.g. a telephone call when the room is ready as it was delayed when we had arrived. Furthermore, we paid for a balcony room but did not get one. When we complained about this upon receiving the bill, we were told that some superior rooms had no balcony.
Near Alex Platz and nearby bakery and minimarket.
I was a bit disappointed as I expedted a better design/ quality. I booked a superior room but actually got a 30m2 double room with just one window. Also the traffic noise during the night was a bit ennoying. I would not recommend it to others as you can get better accomodation for this price, e.g. the "Q". Please see above
My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights and we had a wonderful time, we stayed in the executive suite which was large bright ,modern and clean all in all we enjoyed our stay at Lux 11 and would definately stay there again as the location was also good! A couple of the reception staff were not so friendly and they forgot our morning wake-up call, luckly I woke up anyway!!
Excellent location. Staff are friendly & helpful. Design of room is very modern, amenities used are of good quality "Aveda".
Great unique and hip hotel for young travelers, fantastic location. Poor option of late night food & staff did not mention breakfast was extra (appeared as though it was included).
Location of the hotel is good. Many restaurants and shops around the area. The hotel staff did not give good instructions for public transport. The tap in the sink is very low makes it very inconvenient to use. You may not want to share your room with a friend that you are not too familiar with because its a open shower and sink area which is right next to the bed.
everything was very good, the size of the room and the price were excellent
very central no porter to help with luggage.
I liked the restaurant, excellent food and very nice service. Location is great too. Reception area and friendliness of the staff too. The elevator and the corridor leave an impression that you are entering an old building; not very fancy for a design hotel. The room was very cold when I arrived (the guests are supposed to turn the heating themselves?!). Also the view on the backyard is not very nice either.
Great Hotel...It's our second time in this hotel.. and it won't be the last...
The Hotel is fantastic great modern feel, staff were excellent, good mix of restaurants within 2 min walk, Breakfast was buffet style and great value at €7.50
New hotel, very comfort and clean room Air condition not working properly
Friendly helpful staff and great modern hotel in central location.
excellent location, cleanliness only one power socket in the room
The quiet and relaxed feeling in the hotel There was not much space to sit at breakfast and a lot of lines to get to the drinks and the food
Excellent location. Well appointed room (it felt better than a two star) and helpful staff. Clean, well serviced, quiet and comfortable. Nice breakfast too. No complaints.
It was a great hotel, very clean, nice staff, good breakfast and the location was the best! It was not possible to switch off the light in the ceeling to only use the TV, bathroom or bed lights. Very frustrating!
Easy to find, great value for money, friendly and helpful staff, fantastic location
location, cleanness, simplness, easy modernity and style, and that it was brand new the fact that we had to ask for additional soap and shower liquid, becayse we did not get any new ones the next day.
location, quality, the smell some rooms face the tram lines which are noisy at night
I got a "Dom view" suite. It is large and had a terrific view of the Berlin main cathedral. large comfortable bathroom. The lounge downstairs has a fireplace that is Going every night. Great place to relax and have a whiskey. Breakfast in the restaurant is also excellent. I've rented the regular rooms before and they are small. The suite is worth the extra cost. Beds have two small half comforters, one for each person. Would brew way better if it had a single large one. But that seems like something that is normal for German hotels.
Great location, very new facilities, good value, spacious rooms. Restaurant staff wasn't the greatest but not bad for Berlin standards.
The hotel is easily accessible by public transport and was centrally located so I could walk to both the Berlin sites and the office. The rooms are a bit small and so is the bathroom, but that might be a Berlin thing. All in all, positive experience though.
Great location, nicely decorated, cozy bar and public facilities, great breakfast.
Cozy boutique hotel in a great location. Very friendly staff. Excellent value. Great breakfast. Wifi top notch.
The location is great, very clean, staff was great, and property was kept up. Hackescher Markt is a good area with shopping and restaurants, weekly markets Thursday nights and Saturday, and a S-Bahn stop to easily get anywhere in Berlin. I had room facing the street and it was a bit noisy, try to get a room facing the courtyard. The "king" bed was two twins push together with a seam down the middle :(
Location - very convenient and close to transportation and shops Right near Museum Island Rooms are very small
Staff is friendly, rooms are tastefully done and clean, breakfast is tasty Rooms were a bit small
