location .warm.should think about a smokers shelter
Friendly, helpful staff reasonable price and reasonable rooms no
Good location Food selection was not very inconvenience
convenience to airport There is no longer a courtesy bus and the paths from airport to hotel were totally uncleared of snow. We abandoned trolley in snow and then I fell trying to drag cases through deep snow in the dark. Nearby Premier Inn had clear pathways.Have used Brittannia hotel many times but not again
breakfasts! The complete lack of hot water on our first day, the situation improved after complaining, but only on day 2!
My wife and I like both its location for both a nights relaxation before flying and for a city break.
Staff were very polite and helpful. Breakfast was very good and worth the money. I thought the room could have been warmer and also that the carpet looked as if it needed cleaned. This is not a complaint.
The staff was friendly and helpful The main dining area had only a buffet and the bar area did not have enough seating. We ended up ordering room service but would have liked a choice from the menu in teh main dining area
Staff were excellant, plenty of parking and walking distance to the airport The hotels decor is perhaps a bit tired looking and could do with an update
the location, breakfast was good.the room was comfy and the hotel had character..plan to return soon
well, the fact we only paid fifteen quid each for dinner, bed and breakfast comes pretty high up the list. that and the location. perfect for the roman wall.
Friendliness of staff Lack of organisation and tired decor.
lovely large room, ideal location next to the river, lovely swimming pool We slept very badly. The radiator was making horrendous noises in the night. On the second night, we had to move to another room at midnight, as the noise was so bad. The manager sorted this out for use most kindly. But it totally spoiled our stay. And for £130 per night we were extremely disappointed, and will never stay there again. This was a high price hotel, and you expect to get e decent night's sleep. I had to sleep with earplugs in on the first night. appalling.
Dinner was excellent breakfast was dried up
It is ideal for a visit to Hadrians Wall and the sites associated with the wall. The staff were attentive and trying to please Decor a bit tired in places
This was not the standard of hotel I remember it having changed hands. Room damp, cornice hanging off wall, mold on carpet and curtains, bed not made, shower faulty and flooding bathroom, waited 30 mins standing to be sat for breakfast.
the friendliness of the staff and their efiiciency could do with a lick of paint
The location, right on the river at Chollerford. The friendly staff, both on reception and in the restaurant. The lady who served us at breakfast was a gem, nothing was too much trouble. More milk should be provided on the hospitality tray
Location Some parts looked dated.
Very clean hotel, great bathroom and very warm. All staff were very friendly, the menu and food were excellent. No bad points, but we did find the bed a bit small!! We are not big people!
Great food Friendly staff Fantastic location- a real get away Good quality accommadation
A friendly welcome and continuing pleasant atmosphere. The staff never failed to acknowledge us in the same friendly way. The room price excess for a weekend night. This only showed on the confirmation e-mail.
staff very friendly & helpful, great food nothing to much trouble, good beer small pets not a problem, but two dogs, one a lurcher Hmmmmmmmm having said that both well behaved.
Clean, comfortable, quiet room; excellent dinner and breakfast; hospitality. Some restaurant/bar personnel are inexperienced and/or poorly trained
Breakfast Your staff have to bring their own lunch !!!!!!
Excellent in every way. None
Room 9 ventilation system was noisey
Lots of nice luxurious touches, very comfortable rooms, breakfast and dinner both delicious. Excellent value and lovely location.
Excellent food and friendly service None
Booking, correspondence, stay and everything about the place was excellent, and the view from the room was incredible. I really can't come up with a single bad thing about this place.
Very comfortable. Clean and of a high standard. All the little 'extras' were there, including a bathrobe. Hostess very helpful and friendly. Lovely location
lovely friendly welcome and gorgeous room nothing at all
Everything, It was a wonderful place, wonderful location, fantastic friendly people, and gorgeous rooms. Couldn't believe it was so nice for so little moeny. Nothing, there were literally no problems at all staying here.
Wonderful views from a perfectly appointed bedroom. The bedroom was comfortable and tastefully furnished with delightful en-suite facilities. We were asked to select our breakfast the evening before which ensured that we were served promptly with an excellent, beautifully cooked breakfast the next morning. Local preserves and fresh fruit were also available.
It was top quality furnishings. N/A
This must be one of the nicest b n b's we have stayed in - we would reccommend it to anyone and intend to stay there again
The setting was superb, the facilities tasteful and the owners most pleasant, without being intrusive.
Well appointed, clean, good service, licenced and evening meals available. Good position for Hadrian's Wall
Leah and Kevin are first class hosts. The accomodation was very clean and comfortable.Beautiful views from our room The Chesters.Superb breakfast served each morning, definitely a return visit for us!!.
Excellent choice of breakfast menu, opportunity to breakfast late, quality of evening food very good
Hotel was very quiet andhad a nice relaxing atmosphere The fact that the hotel bar and Resturant where being used for a wedding and where off limits to us, so we had to go elsewhere for food and a drink , also on return we asked about a drink and where informed the bar had closed it was 1130!!!
The Staff were very friendly and helpful and it was within walking distance of the village. Restuarant was very enticing. I would have welcomed a choice on the menu of dishes other than Italian. As our stay was for 3 nights we would have preferred a wider choice especially as there appeared to be no other restaurants in the village.
All staff excellent always smiling, approachable, well dressed and polite.Excellent restaurant in every way.Excellent choice of breakfast and service with it. Entrance not very obvious.
The restaurant was excellent our roon was beside the boiler which made noises through the night (room 10)
The beautiful large bedroom & its furniture & views. Excellent bathroom with spa bath.
The restaraunt was excellent. Staff very friendly and provided good service. Only that the bed in our room was uncomfortable and the bathroom very cold.
area poor reception area. lack of lift to bedrooms
Superior room offered excellent comfort & value for money. Restaurant within the hotel was also 1st rate.
the hotel was everything as in your description if not better, the staff were very friendly and also very helpful. The owner made himself known to us, made time to sit and chat and when he found out i had to have a special diet fetched the chef and went over the menu with me. The food was superb and again the owner went around talking to all the people in his resturant making sure everybody was ok, nothing was too much trouble for him or any of his staff. We will definately be going again nothing
