Pros: The car performed well. Customer service reps were nice.
Cons: I was told that if my requested car was not available I'd get an upgrade for no additional charge which was a lie and a trap. I will have to spread the info along. I was supposed to have pk 271 but paid 362 instead. Very upset

Car died, had to call AAA because you guys wouldn'
Cons: My car had a near flat which I discovered after getting on the highway and it pulled so badly I had to stop and figure out what was going on. Discovered a busted hubcap and out of line bumper...someone had hit something pretty hard before I ever got the thing. Got to dc.....and air quit blowing cold because I was losing power. Wouldn't start three different times, kept sayin incorrect key (because battery was dying) went to leave my hotel to albeit second half of my drive, car was completely dead. Called CS and was told they would come jump and exchange vehicles....then called back and said it would cost 80 dollars for a jump for YOUR car....and I would have to drive it out to get a replacement that actually ran.
Thank god for the guys at the DC airport during exchange. They were amazing, specifically the elder gentleman named Paul. He made the transition smooth and even transferred my luggage. And apologized for the car breaking down on us. He redeemed you guys completely in my book.

Only rent again as a single.
Pros: It was there. It was available in the terminal rather than having to take a shuttle.
Cons: I misunderstood that the spouse would be a driver if registered at check in. No soap. I will never use them again unless traveling by myself.

LDW was added even though I declined
Pros: The desk agent was very friendly, even finding me an additional discount
Cons: However, I told her that I wanted to decline all coverages, but LDW was added anyway. I did not catch this until much later, after I had signed the contract and left the facility and Dollar would not remove the extra $29 per day (5 days).

Good car, Good service, but out of cars?
Pros: My car was great and got good gas mileage
Cons: The line at the counter was long and slow for pickup. We were told Dollar was out of cars even though we had reservations. There was only one person working the counter who had been on for hours without a break. She was smiling and absolutely fantastic--she saved the day.

Cons: When renting the vehicle I was not informed that I would need a certain amount on my card to rent the vehicle. So I got dropped off at the location and was not able to rent the car. I had to call a cab to get back home. So I didn't get to go where I need to go thanks to the misinformation.

Pros: I liked the car a lot.
Cons: I didn't like the receptionist who helped me at the airport. I arrive in the late afternoon and there was no one in line so her attitude was unjustified. Then, her directions to find the car were quick and undetailed. I then didn't know if I had to check in with someone before I took the car like many car rentals do. And then the drop off was a little confusing because there was no one to check in with again. Maybe this works for the company, but for the consumer it can leave an uneasy feeling wondering, "Am I doing this right?"

Cons: Car was so dirty and had marks all over. We took a video of everything just to make sure we weren't charged in the end.
Cons: rental company would not stop trying to upsell me. they also messed up the charging and tried to overcharge me.

Cons: When picking up my rental, I, along with several other customers who reserved and even pre-paid for the rental car were told that they didn't have any cars left and didn't know when they were going to get more since it was dependent on the return of other cars. I couldn't afford to wait indefinitely so I went to Hertz. I got a car right away.

Reservations are made for abreason
Pros: Counter person was nice. Person at drop off was helpful as I was in a hurry.
Cons: I specifically chose the class of car by the fact that it was the only one that mentioned a union made car. When I arrived, I was told that the only car available in that class was a brand I was not willing to drive. While I acknowledge that it is difficult to know what cars will be available at any given moment, there should be some way to be able to specify.

Reasonable service for the price
Pros: Easy and fast drop-off. Car was very new.
Cons: Slow Pickup, Dropoff was fast and easy. Car smelled strongly of air freshener.

Pros: The car did run well with no issues of car troubles and the Honda did have good gas mileage.
Cons: Car interior was pretty dirty. There was dried BBQ and chicken chunks all over the car including the seats belts straps. The smell was very bad and had human hair balls all over it. We did not receive the car we booked online and when we arrived for pickup we were advised that there was no midsize car and we needed to upgrade to a SUV for additional daily cost. When we refused a SUV a car was made available but only after we refused to pay additional cost over what we were quoted online. We booked a Ford Fusion and received a Honda.

Pros: Liked having the check in counter inside the airport and the cars were close by in the parking garage, rather than taking a shuttle. Price was good too.
Cons: Something was funky with my registration, and they person who checked me in at the counter had to update my info and reenter it 5 times for it to take. And I was in a hurry to get to a meeting. And then I got a van, instead of a compact car, which I didn't really want. Luckily I didn't have a lot of driving to do, so I didn't have to spend a lot on gas, but if I did, it couldn't have made it a lot more expensive.

Budget At Dayton (DAY) BE AWARE
Pros: Car was a Kia Sol. Very nice and clean.
Cons: Being told a flat lie by the counter representative upon picking up my car. Was quoted $68 and some change for my reservation but was charged over $90. When I questioned the rep, he said that Kayak doesn't include the airport fees, etc. Upon dropping off the car, the lady informed me that the cost was higher due to a request to "upgrade" my car. I was shocked. Be weary of the Budget at Dayton. I spoke with the manager who said that he would ensure that I would get my originally quoted price...so we'll see when I get my credit card statement.

Pros: Price and the in-terminal pickup and dropoff.
Cons: In the middle of winter, with very cold weather, and a recent snowstorm, and icing of windows every night, it was no place to be without an ice scraper. There was no scraper in the car. None in the backseat and none in the trunk. It was not nice using a credit card to clean the windows off every day.
Cons: They told me that your insurance was inadequate and that i should buy theirs too to make sure everything is covered.

Pros: I asked for a different car after the first car they brought me had a musty smell, so they brought me a new one.
Cons: I couldn't figure out how to move the back of the seat forward and since it was pouring rain outside I didn't want to get out of the car to get a closer look. When I reached my hand down by the side of the seat my fingers were covered in a greasy substance so I gave up after that. Having my seat back too far made my 3 hour trip from Dayton to Cleveland a bit uncomfortable. The car also had a weird blind spot on the side. There was also trash in the back seat. I was expecting more for a company like Enterprise.
Good availability poor pick up and customer servic
Pros: Good selection but so inconvenient to pick up and drop off without entering the airport. Tried to ask a question and calling the front desk was impossible for three days without going to corporate office kept being put on hold for 10 minutes only to be automatically transferred. Too much hassle for simple rental.

Awesome gas mileage, horrible cig smell
Pros: The car (vw Passat) was clean, had great gas mileage. Very smooth ride.
Cons: Horrible odor of cigarettes. Like people, not just the person before me, totally ignored the no smoking rule and the company didn't care enough to get the odor professionally removed.

Pros: I was not happy that our extra day was so expensive compared to the rest of the rental I am not sure if other rental cars make you pay for the whole tank if you buy the gas in advance. It would seem that if I pay you to refill it you would know how much is in the tank at that point and then be able to charge me later that day
Pros: The car handled very nicely and was nicely equipped
Cons: The customer service was awful with a very aggressive counter person who then charged me twice what my reservation cost was. I will gladly pay slightly more for a rental car so that I never have to deal with these people again.

Pros: Very fast and easy to get car and return. When there was a mistake in the bill they cheerfully fixed it.
