Cons: I reserved a car to drive It of state for a job. When I reached there at 8 in the morning, the lady behind the counter asked us if we would mind waiting a bit because they had no cars in, but they were expecting some returns soon. I didn't know she wanted is to keep on waiting. She was looking through her computers for I'm not sure what, but after about 15 minutes my sister and I just asked her if she could just call us when she received any information on when we can pick a car up. At noon she called just to say she still didn't have anything yet, but might have something about 2 or 3 pm. She never called us back and we haven't heard from her since.

Great value, unprofessional service.
Pros: The car ran well and was in great condition. I also felt like the value was very good.
Cons: I had a pickup time of 8am and was on a very tight schedule. When I arrived promptly at 8am, no one was at the counter. Since my pickup location was an airport, there were competitors counters on each side of the Hertz counter. One of the competitors told me the Hertz representative was outside washing the vehicles. I waited politely and 10 minutes later, she walked in. She told me that despite my pickup time of 8am, they currently had no cars available for pickup, and they would have to be driven in from a neighboring city which would take 20 minutes. Despite my tight schedule, I waited. When they finally arrived, I was told the vehicles had to be washed. Okaaayyyy, I thought, so I waited another 20 minutes! When the soaking wet vehicle was finally ready, the Hertz Rep walked right into the office and tried handing me the key. I hadn't yet signed any paperwork so I had to remind her of this. So finally an hour after my pickup date, I got to get on the road. The service was just as unprofessional upon drop-off. I walked in and the same lady asks "did you fill up the tank?" And "did you get in an accident?" I answered yes and no respectively, and she tells me "okay good, I'm too lazy to go outside and check". Really? She didn't do a walk around upon pickup or drop off and was incredibly unprofessional.

Personnel at the Hertz car rental in Ventura no so
Pros: Just to be clear, the ratings above aren't on the wonderful car we rented while in Colorado but on the personnel at the Ventura Hertz car rental agency when returning the car.
Cons: When it was time to return the rental car to the local Ventura Hertz Company, we filled the tank first and the gauge indicated that the tank was full.
The counter person looked over the car for any damage (didn't find any) and then said we didn't return the car with a full tank. I showed her our gas receipt and she still doubted us. We felt as if she thought we were lying! Very uncomfortable and, of course, the more one tries to convince someone of their innocence, the more that someone doubts. Other than that, Hertz did good by us because of Kayak.com

Hertz does it again!!!!
Pros: Thank you for being the affordable company. I was able to drive and help my elderly friends in Washington and take my Moki with me. It
turned into a beautiful autumn drive back to Calif.

Good standard car rental
Pros: Clean car. Appreciated that it came with unlimited miles - I did a lot of traveling to different National Parks. Extended my time with the car by a couple of days and they were willing to give me the same low rate no problem. Quick and easy!
Cons: First car had oil and check engine light come on after a few days. Everything seemed fine (checked oil, etc.) but didn't want to worry about it so I brought it back to Hertz - they swapped it for a different car no worries.
Pros: Best experience at the Office on Victoria in Ventura, CA. They were friendly, accommodating, ready to assist. Easy check in and out.

Great customer service
Pros: Employees were very helpful and accommodating. Was taken care of on a Friday night before Labor Day despite accidentally making a reservation at another location. Was given a free upgrade, too.

The agent was friendly but had to wait a long time
Pros: The two gentlemen working were doing their best and were friendly and trying to be proactive. I overheard them calling future reservations to let them know it would be a wait as they were short cars. I would have appreciated that call.
Cons: I had to wait quite a while 45 min to get my car. I also had my baby with me. I rented a car seat as well which they didn't end up having on site and had to get it from another location- so another wait.

Super friendly and helpful
Pros: Awesome, super helpful, efficient, and courteous staff. They went out of their way to ensure I was taken care of and were respectful of my time and patience. I couldn't give them a higher rating.
