The car was not the car in the ad. The passenger side mirror was misaligned and had to be fixed. The car maintenance came on whilst driving and undiscloed 250 fee was assessed for taking the car to a different airport for drop off. On a one way trip this should be disclosed before I get to the airport.

Cleanliness of car - it smelt of smoke/recreational drugs. Otherwise the vehicle was fantastic - good condition, fuel efficient and comfortable to drive. Drop of experience was fantastic. Pick up was great too. Terminal check-in experience was OK.

The big disappointment was the wait to pick up the car. The line was 50 to 60 people deep and there were only 5 or 6 agents helping. But the real problem was that only one of the agents seemed to be working hard to move the line. A middle-age African American woman was the only person working with a sense of urgency, everyone else was just in super-chill mode and sometimes just milling around. I waited longer than 45 minutes to pay for the car. The car/SUV was clean and full of gas, but I had a hard time getting some of the features to work. It appeared to be stuck downloading something and we could never get the screen to come alive. It wasn't terrible but the people at the counter could have done a much better job.

Representative placed me in the wrong SUV. Before I exited, the lady at the booth stated I was in the wrong car and I needed to return the car. This was only one upgrade in cars, so I thought the best customer service courtesy was to keep me in that car since I had done all the paperwork for it. They would not do it, but required me to switch SUVs that required at least 45 minutes of additional time.. Since it wasn’t my error and it cost me unnecessary time and effort, Avis could’ve been apologetic, courteous, and thoughtful by letting me stay in the equinox rather than switch to and escape.

The staff did the best they could given a horrible overbooking situation. 2.5 hour wait in line to pickup my vehicle, which they didn’t have. Luckily they were able to find a full-sized truck instead of the Tacoma I reserved. I wasn’t charged for the upgrade, which was good. Unfortunately, it smelled like Willie Nelson and Snoop Dogg had a smoke session in it. I had to take it because I was moving my daughter out of her college apartment, and needed a truck. I was stressed about getting pulled over by the cops until I returned it. Terrible experience caused by greedy (mis)management overbooking. Again, the staff did the best they could with the situation management created.

Our rental car broke down on the highway. Enterprise transported us to this location and promised a replacement. When we arrived the Manager would not give us another car until the original car was towed to them. AAA said it will take hours to do so. So, our six hour car trip was delayed by 24 hours and we ended up renting another car from Hertz. Then it took three days of calling to customer service to get a refund. STEER clear of Enterprise at the Atlanta Airport. This was my worst rental car enperience in 38 years of renting cars. HORRIBLE and incompetent staff.

After changing flight and getting a reservation with enterprise I was told they had no cars available. Their policy is to accept reservation with 24 hours of pickup, but cars are not guaranteed. Thankfully, Budget had cars available.

This was my first experience with Enterprise. The Alpha Romeo Stelvia I rented was in fair shape but I have never rented a car that had over 40,000mi on the odometer! For the money I'd like to rent a younger car, especially if it's a "luxury" car. I'll give Enterprise one more chance.

They waited until I got to the gate to insert a $150 additional insurance fee to my bill! I had to ditch them in that moment (thank goodness I hadn't prepaid) and go next door to Fox rental car, which took me right away.

A couple of things were negatives. 1) They apparently have a restriction on which states you can travel to in the rental car- although this didn’t affect my plans this time, I could see how it might be a negative if I had plans to travel to one of the restricted states. 2) Despite arriving at the car rental spot around 9:00 pm on a weekday and there not being a line at the counter- the company rep advised me that there would be up to a 45 minute wait to get my car ready- when I asked if there was anything we could do to avoid the wait- she advised that we could upgrade and get a car immediately. This suspiciously appeared to be a bait and switch tactic. Especially since it was not busy and I had a reservation which put them on notice of the rental. I WILL NO LONGER BE RENTING FROM ACE.

Pickup was a very long process - it took us almost 2 hours to get a car. We were promised a $35 credit and were upgraded to a hybrid SUV. Returned on time but billed extra even after discount. Not a great experience although the car itself was clean and comfortable.

The staff was friendly at first until she stated the vehicle size I purchased weren't returned yet. Normally when a rental company is at fault you receive a updrade but no. I had the option to wait a hour to hour and half or more for full-size car to be returned. Then when I took the option to get smaller car my price difference wasn't given then. I was charged the peice for full size and she would send email to manager for them to try and give price credit. As of now I still haven't received email stating what that refund will be or when given.

Cons:

The car smelled first like cigarettes and later as the day grew it smelled like weed. That smell didn't leave the vehicle the entire time I rented it.

The staff was friendly and the drop off was very simple.

Cons:

It was very difficult to find the kiosk, and the wait was very long. The car was dirty inside and smelled VERY strongly of smoke. I bought air fresheners and rode with the windows down a lot. The tires were not balanced -- the passenger side were both over 36 and the driver side were at 28/27. I had to put air in the tires twice while I had it.

They have an arbitary limit that cars can only go to AL, SC, GA, and FL. I needed to go 5 hours away to NC, that would just barely get me across the Florida line.
