This was the worst and most expensive experience. 1) they would not honor my reservation 2)they didn’t have a van available 3) I was charged $400 extra because I didn’t have a reservation and they gave me a SUV, which was a tight fit. 3) didn’t leave from the rental agency until 7pm and had to have the truck back at 6pm 4) Was treated like I was a foreigner who didn’t understand English, I was born in Florida 5) my $532 reservation was over charged to $1229.00 6) Elder abuse Our ages ranged from 64-78. 7) will contact the State Attorney General office this week about the elder abuse and illegal price gouging. 8) I was told to get two cars or change my date, since he didn’t have a van. I showed him my reservation sheet and he said it didn’t matter! The person at the counter for Dollar was Antony! He bragged about what he did to the young man that check at the out going station! The clerk was a gem. Very friendly and delightful to talk to. The value was excellent. The vehicle was exceptional. We were in & out fast. Resolution was no issue. The gate employee was efficient & helped with the Resolution promptly. He was friendly as well.Reviewed Jan 22 2024

Check in line was over an hour when I arrived. Three employees trying to process over 25 waiting people at 10pm. I cancelled my reservation in line, walked over to Avis, and got a better car for the same price with only 5 minutes of effort. Why would I bother with Kayak or Dollar?Reviewed Dec 3 2023

The initial price was fair. However they were SEVERELY under staffed and had to wait nearly THREE HOURSSSSSSSSSSSS in line to pick up the car. Pros:Drop off was smooth.Cons:The price was exorbitant!!! So ripped off. By the time extra fees (no not insurance — service fees, taxes, pre-pay gas charge and a toll pass that we barely needed costing over $160) were added on our car cost about $100/day and multiplied by three weeks was outrageous. And this with only one driver. To add a second driver would have cost another $10.99/day. They took full advantage of a consumer who didn’t know the area. Car was dirty. Dollar Rental is an oxymoron. Their name should be Thousands of dollars rental. Research everything and know before you go.Reviewed May 23 2021
