Janet, Nov 2018 - Fairfield Inn & Suites San Diego Old Town
Pros (+) Location was good
Cons (-) Waited for HOURS for my room on arrival. I came early but there was no flexibility with getting us in a room early despite coming in from out of state and having no place to stay. I was able to stay in downtown for $30/less per night than in old town and the hotel was much newer and nice. It made me feel that the old town marriott was overpriced.

Anonymous, Nov 2015 - Fairfield Inn & Suites San Diego Old Town
Pros (+) The hotel has been updated since it became Fairfield Inn. It is clean and in a great location for visiting Old Town San Diego. They serve a complimentary breakfast and offer a secure parking garage at no charge.
Cons (-) Although Fairfield Inn/ Marriott updated the hotel and keep it clean, the property no longer has the charm it used to in regards to the old tiled courtyard and nondescript rooms. The "scrambled eggs" served on the breakfast buffet were weird - gelatin-like.
