Pros (+) It was a place to stay in San Diego
Cons (-) Our room overlooked the penthouse store. I don’t really like staying downtown. The homeless are all over the place.

Jeffrey, Sep 2018 - Ramada by Wyndham Gaslamp Convention Center
Pros (+) The staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. They have a 24hr resturaunt, and it is fixed up real well inside.
Cons (-) It is old and the rooms are small, plus old elevators.

Pros (+) This hotel was located in Gaslamp District, which made it easy to walk around and explore the area. I parked at the lot next door, $30 for overnight parking which was a lot better than the $35 valet at the hotel. Overall, the staff was friendly and welcoming. The elevator is a bit tricky if you have luggage or bags to hold.
Cons (-) Valet parking for the hotel costs $35 a night but you have no idea if they park it in a safe location. Most of the guests that were there complained of the valet taking too long to bring up their car, about 30-45 minutes if they’re busy or if the valet guy is on break.

Pros (+) It was clean room.
Cons (-) 1 elevator was so broke. The other ran so slow continuous guest avoided using it period. I had to walk up 4 flights of stairs to get to my room multiple times daily. The shower didn’t drain well which causes simple showers to become standing water problem. The room was exceptionally small, I had one window which I tried to open the blinds to let more light in and the windows haven’t been cleaned i...

Pros (+) Location and staff are amazing.
Cons (-) The buidling is too old. The elevator is musuem worthy. While riding the elevator, i feel like i am breathing the air and dust from the last 100 years. I have had severe allergies while at the hotel, if you are allergies prone please watch out.

Pros (+) The hotel is downtown which means access to great restaurants and bars, all within walking distance. Staff were very friendly and helpful. There’s a rooftop with a decent view.
Cons (-) The bathroom is way small and cramped, didn’t feel very clean, and the sink mirror was to the side of the sink, not in front of the sink. The sink was very tiny with no counter top space. Shower was very small.

Pros (+) Value for the area. Your are in the middle of everything. And just in case you stay out to late next door is a 24 hour restaurant with great food at reasonable prices.
Cons (-) Rooms are small and you have to get over the fact that the the place is not dirty it just very old. Elevator is the original...very very slow

Anonymous, Feb 2017 - Ramada by Wyndham Gaslamp Convention Center
Pros (+) Good location for a visit that includes lots of food and drinks. The hotel was built in like, 1912 and has a lot of features from that time so it's sort of neat. Bed was really comfortable. There is a roof deck that you can use with great views of the city.
Cons (-) The hotel is showing its age in many places- one of the two elevators was not working, lots of wood trim needs to be replaced, general age-related issues. The staff that was working at night all seemed like they might be high (for real- not like they were just spacey, like I honestly think they were high).
