Cons: Pick up at airport was long and confusing because we had booked at a different location of hertz so we had to pay additional fees like 70.00 plus and that was deceiving g .. will not use hertz again because of this !!

Pros: Had to drop off our car at 4 am in Raleigh, attendant was friendly and efficient and we immediately caught the shuttle to the airport.

Pros: My experience started with Taray (spelling?) when I called to reserve. He was super nice and very helpful. Very professional. He also remembered me when I dropped the car off. Give the kid kudos!

Pros: We were evacuated from Myrtle Beach due to Florence. The resort (a time share) transferred us to Orlando (Daytona was full) and we had no problem returning the car with the fees waived. Charleston airport was closed for 3 days.

Cons: Even though I had a reservation I had a long wait (30+ mins) to get the keys. IMO this office is under-staffed (or under-staff utilized), under-stocked and perhaps disorganized. (this was the first time I picked-up at this location.) I had reserved a Corolla-like vehicle, which was rented to a couple in line just before me. The only vehicle left on the lot for me was a truck. While I understand the truck was in a higher class than I paid for, and Hertz didn't want to turn away business from the previous couple (who didn't have a reservation I assume from the conversation & perhaps didn't want to pay for renting the truck)-RE: 'take the truck or nothing', that message was more-less relayed to me who had a reservation and had paid in advance. While the truck became sort of fun to drive, IMO it was "too much" for me (size-wise) and therefore was inconvenient, to say the least. The Hertz employee I dealt with was courteous, professional and helpful. I have no complaints about his performance. I actually felt sorry for him because he was trying to do his job under awkward, and not the best circumstances.
