You can leave your coat in your room. + One of nicest Concierge Lounges (CL) I have ever been too. + CL food offerings are step above a CL at a Marriott. + CL staff were all super friendly. + Great online phone app to get your car from valet parking. + Very big bathrooms with a walk in shower and a separate huge bath tub. + Great views of planes taking off and landing at the MSP airport. + Super quiet windows - you could not hear any traffic or jet noise. + Very fast elevators. Never had to wait. + Right on the highway, so very easy to get where you are going.

Pros: Loews Minneapolis Hotel completely blew me away during my stay this past week. The skyscape view was incredible, and the hotel is perfectly positioned around a ton of awesome shops, restaurants, and venues for those who get time to explore. The front desk and Star Service staff were unbelievable. I've been to hundreds of hotels in my professional lifetime, and Loews ranks among the very best hotel experiences I've ever had. Even the valet was amazing--that's hard to find.
Cons: The morning breakfast buffet was overpriced for what was offered. I'd suggest discounting the $20 buffet price for those staying in the hotel (perhaps if they're willing to charge to the room for verification).

Pros: The location was excellent and easy to get to. Short walk to everything we needed. Rooms were spacious and clean and nice looking. Staff was friendly and helpful and knowledgeable about the area.
Cons: Glad I checked on the parking situation. They weren't kidding about the tightness of the underground ramp. It was really convenient and was fine for the Subaru, but darn glad we left the pickup at home.

Hotel was updated and very clean and quiet .Location was very convenient; close to train, target center, and has the attached sky walk. Early departure and complimentary breakfast was ready prior to 6:30. Did I mention the 5 star staff---very pleasant to deal with at every inquiry! Great job folks!!!!

Pros: We liked the fact that we could walk by skyway anywhere in the downtown Minneapolis area. We also enjoyed upscale amenities at an affordable price. Complimentary breakfast was included.
Cons: We were late in departing the hotel one morning and we told the cleaning service to come back later but they must have forgotten because our room did not get made up. Parking is quite expensive.

Cons: Hotel sites indicate the hotel has parking, but do not say that it costs an extra $20 per day. "Parking" should mean "Free Parking". Also, some parking spots are very tricky to get in and out, even with a compact car. Breakfast gets hectic near the finishing time (9 am on weekdays); better get there early if you want to avoid a line and get some food.

Pros: The hotel was clean and the rooms were a good size with comfy furniture. The staff very friendly and always willing to help you out. Either by recommending places to eat, calling you a cab, or by doing anything else to make your stay enjoyable :) Also they had good happy hour prices and serve food 24/7!
Cons: So apparently the hotel only "naturally" cools their rooms in winter and our room was very warm and there is no way to cool your room down then so we roasted the whole time we were there :( Also the fact that you have to take 2 sets of elevators to get in and out of the hotel was kinda inconvenient.

Pros: Lesley Hanson at the front desk was absolutely awesome! She took care of a of control high temp problem in one of our rooms and made us very happy with Hyatt. We usually stay at the Commons Hotel, and we loved this (and Lesley!).

Pros: The feel and vibe of the place is awesome. It's a cute little building in a sea of mirrored skyscrapers. The guest staff were very friendly and helpful. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of space in our room to spread out and for my daughter to crawl around. Lots of great restuarants are within walking distance and the conference center is only 5 blocks away. They even offer to shuttle you over if you don't want to walk that short distance.
Cons: The pool was a little cold, not too bad, but it could stand to be warmed up a degree or two. The fitness center is very small but adequate. It wasn't crowded when I uesd it but I could see that it could get filled up very fast at the right time of day. One of the 10lb and one of the 12lb weights were missing so I had to use the 15lbs to have a matched set. But that just made me work a little harder which isn't really a bad thing.

Pros: Great location and lovely hotel. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Hotel decor is contemporary yet with a nod to the historic nature of this beautiful building. Location in the renovated downtown area Is ideal for many activities as well as access to walks along the river and stone arch bridge. It is close to great restaurants, theater and sporting events. Dunn Brothers coffee next-door is a bonus!

Though I confirmed my prepaid reservation earlier that day, at check in the front desk clerk was unable to find my reservation for several minutes and rather unfriendly. When she did locate the reservation, she did give us a nice room but overall was not welcoming. For the remainder of the day, all other staff at the hotel were very friendly, helpful and cheerful.

Cons: There were several little things that added up to a disappointing stay for us. Wireless internet was not free in our rooms, which I have only ever experienced at a hotel that was SO nice that it made it worth it to come down to the lobby and use the free wifi. This was not, however, SO nice. The lobby area was small. No late checkout? I have literally never heard of this. I wasn't allowed to check in until 3, so why do I have to be out of the room by noon? They forgot to take off the disabled movies from the previous resident. Again - not a huge deal, but when I called the front desk, the person told me "that's just how it is sometimes" and he "doesn't know how the movies work up there." O-kay... so I asked to speak with a manager, and was placed on hold for way too long. Someone finally called us back and fixed it, but at that point we didn't really feel like spending the money on it. They really should have offered us a free movie or something to make up for it. Oh, they forgot towels when cleaning the room. And there were only 2 to begin with. This seems like a pretty basic step. All of this would have been fine/expected at a 2-3 star hotel, but I expected a little better from this one.

Pros: The executive lounge we had access to was conveniently located on our floor and provided an excellent variety of upscale hors d'oeuvres. The location was ideal. Very clean all around.
Cons: I had called early in the day that we were scheduled to arrive asking if they could put a cute note in the room along with a couple wine glasses. The lady who helped me on the phone thought it was a great idea. She asked me if I wanted 17th or 18th floor: I said 18th. When we arrived we were put on the 19th floor, the top floor. This would've been a nice surprise if the note and glasses were in the room but they weren't. The room we received also did not have the amenities that were listed when we selected the room online. Features like "spa robe, spa room, kitchen area." It was also listed as the Presidential Suite. I asked the front desk about it, showing them the reservation description on my phone. She then informed me that 3rd party bookings don't have any real say in the amenities in the room, that she was sorry, and there wasn't much she could do. It sounds like a 1st world problem, and I feel like a whiner just typing this up, but it really put a damper on my romantic plans. Had I truly known the room wouldn't have the stuff it said it would I would've kept looking and even spent more on a room that did. I assumed everything would be as I planned and it wasn't until it was too late that I found out his was not the case. Also, kind of odd, the same page that I showed to the front desk to plead my case has now been changed: it doesn't have those features listed anymore. It will be very hard for me to trust the process moving forward.

Cons: I think having free wi-fi be a standard amenity would be nice considering the standard of hotel that it is. I didn't like only getting it after having to call the front desk and ask about it at a Hilton Hotel. And the vent in the upper corner of our room really loudly transferred sound from another room all night. Mostly of them yelling playing music, guitar and screaming until 3am. The biggest one was that the bedside lamps, while very nice, flickered brightly fairly often no matter what dimness they were set to. They kept triggering migraines in my girlfriend and made her feel awful so we stopped using the lights. If you guys only listen to one thing I mention please fix the lights. It's really important for light sensitive people and can really easily ruin their experience. I also get that you guys dont have parking because you're right in the middle of everything, but comping parking at a ramp would've been really nice. Of you do comp parking I didn't know about it. Also I thought my room would have a tub, that could totally be on me but the pictures didn't really specify at all which one you had. I wanted to try a bath bomb lol. Overall I would've preferred staying somewhere much cheaper out of the middle of the city but still getting all the amenitys like free easy parking, and free wifi I didn't have to ask or call about. With steaks lighting and no noise pollution from other guests. What you guys have is nice looking but it's not worth double the price of somewhere that has those other things right off the bat. Even if they don't have a bar or nice lobby lighting.

Cons: I was surprised that wifi wasn't included, and then very surprised that one day of wifi costs 14 dollars. Free wifi seems common enough these days that the hotel ought to call out "no free wifi" a little more obviously in search results and listings on travel sites. It's frustrating to pay for a room and then feel nickel-and-dimed once you check in.

Pros: The location was great and surprisingly we were able to find street parking without any difficulty. Our room was small but very comfortable. We loved the shower, had a nice view and lots of sunlight pouring into our room.
Cons: The lobby area was dark and very noisy especially in the evening. More of a personal preference but we didn't like the pink lighting and overall dark ambiance of the lobby area. We got the sense that the target clientele were young millenials.

Also, the mirror in the bathroom was absolutely filthy from the guests before us which was offputting that they didn't clean it.

Pros: We greatly enjoyed the luxury and "exotic" prohibition feeling. Everything fit a unique theme throughout the hotel. The design and architecture was beautiful. Fortunately our young child travels well and isn't a screamer so we didn't have any problems settling in and giving her a bath and relaxing. We were welcomed without judgement which was very nice given our 1 year old child.

Cons: no coffee maker in the room, basically watched a prostitution exchange go down. super shady and weird hotel. also, was promised something would be sent to the room since i was there with my best friend celebrating her birthday (their offer, not asked for) and nothing was sent. when i asked about it, was given $30 to mannys breakfast which paid for 2 bagels with cream cheese, 2 cups of coffee and a glass of orange juice. ended up with a thai massage rather than what i wanted and was in pain for an hour. will NOT stay here again.

Pretty basic room (bed, desk, TV, etc), but burnt out lightbulbs, chipped mirror, pealing paint, our floor (10th) smelled like a deep fryer, and everything costs extra (e.g. Wi-Fi is $13/day). After paying so much for the room, I expected better.

Cons: Elevators are old and slow. Half of the elevators were out of service. The card readers in the elevators were finicky but you can't get to your room until you fiddle with it. Parking is a nightmare. Attached public parking ticket machine would not give out tickets, just takes credit card and charges for the whole day and can't get in or out after 10 PM. The W does not have affiliated parking so that pretty much just leaves the expensive valet parking. Even that was challenging because the "pull-off" from the busy downtown street is exceptionally small. Over the five days, we often had to stop in the regular traffic lane and hold up traffic while handing the car off to the valet driver.

That playa was all like " yeah follow us we just ran to get Ice his "stuff" " up the elevator and to the door *fist bump* open the door......just the small room, 1 bed (no roll out) SMH. Called front desk again "sorry we are completely out" nooooo! I called shotgun so I was legit, buddy froze on the floor, at 3, 5, 8 am sounded like someone was banging on our door, royaly pissed me off, (no one was even there!?) after the second knock and my friend slowly dieing of hypothermia we called and asked them to send up pillows and blankets, got them , bro was no longer a popsicle. Woke up called the manager/ now we all good, I would totally stay here again when I'm downtown!! For realzies!

Cons: The hotel is misleading in what it advertises as a "junior suite" for which they charge $50 extra per night. It is not a suite. It is just a large room. And it's not even good extra space. Just an oversized entry way and an extra strip of space between the bed and TV. Also, when i booked, there was no mention that the room didn't have a window to the outdoors; just an atrium view. Definitely not worth paying for. But the staff was kind enough to get us a better room. Apparently they've heard this complaint before. My biggest complaint is with Kayak/Orbitz customer service. The first person I called was helpful, but got disconnected. The second argued with me and then refused to escalate me to his manager. Instead he tried to transfer me to the hotel, but nobody answered. I called back again and asked for a manager at Orbitz, but nobody answered there either. I wanted to reward Kayak with the booking since I used their service to find the hotel, but I will never book via Kayak again after that atrocious customer service.

Bed was very comfortable and the room was nicely furnished - for the size of the bed though it could have used probably two more pillows. The front desk clerk, Kate, that assisted us with check in was so friendly and helpful when we asked for restaurant and nightlife recommendations and directions. Her suggestions were spot-on! She also upgraded us to a higher floor room and gave us complimentary wifi (I believe it was somewhere around $15 a day otherwise).
Cons: The pool and spa area were completely overrun with children and adults loosely supervising them. Kids were running, splashing in the spa, going in and out of the workout room... this isn't necessarily the hotel's problem, but my boyfriend and I were really looking forward to a soak in the hot tub that never happened. Also, we received a voucher for an appetizer in the lounge at check in. The night we decided to use it, my boyfriend had left his wallet in the room. When we sat at the bar, I ordered a glass of wine (I had my wallet and ID), and he ordered water, but we were told that we could not sit at the bar if he didn't have ID. He wasn't drinking, but they made us move to a table that was - quite literally - two feet farther away from the bar than we were previously. The appetizer that we received was nothing spectacular (we had the potato skins) and tasted very bland. We didn't order anything but the free app and it took almost twenty five minutes to get it. The water glasses were stained and looked a little dirty. I was not impressed with the lounge or it's staff.

Cons: The rooms were very small. It seemed that the room had not been dusted in quite sometime. The temp was almost 80 when we checked in. We had to call for someone to come check. It turned out that we were unable to adjust the temp for the entire stay!!!!! Upon check out we discovered that they had charged us for an extra day of parking. It was taken care of but employee not to happy to do it. I would never ever stay here again and would never recommend it to anyone!!!!!!!! Also apple products do not work in the room.

Pros: A wonderful, well kept, well situation hotel in downtown Minneapolis. If you are looking for a nice place to rest without spending too much, this place is for you.
Cons: Not much negative to say! There was a slight tear in the one sheet on my bed. WiFi costs money here. Im really getting nit picky put Kayak says I have to use 100 characters!

Pros: Clean well maintained, staff was polite but failed to e-mail me my receipt as promised. Parking charges were a surprise but not unreasonable given the location. Very clean, great location.
Cons: Very noisy ac/heater, cable was out for a time during my stay and I received an unexpected knock at the door from housekeeping very early despite use of the so not disturb sign.

Pros: Staff were very friendly. Room was very clean and quiet, even with a loud conference in the hotel downstairs. Bed was very comfortable! Only complaints were with the not-so-hot hot tub in the pool area and generally difficulty finding close parking. Will definitely be back... Especially for the price!

Cons: Front desk staff was rude when checking in. I even found hair in the shower and with the extra blanket. We stayed there when it was a Sheraton and it was in a lot better condition with higher quality staff. Not a standard Doubletree experience!!

Cons: We had to get up earlier and there was a baby crying all night next to us and the couple was fighting and in the morning and I try to speak to the staff in the morning and they really said it's only the luck of the draw and I thought that was kind of disrespectful and when we called again to talk to a manager he left voicemails and have not heard nothing back yet so I hope we hear back from the manager because I know every complain but this time I had to say something and I thought maybe they would've done something for us but nothing was done

The hotel staff was accommodating, although the manager seemed not to believe there was actually a problem ("I walked up here myself and couldn't hear it") but they moved me to a room that was extremely quiet.
