Municipio I - Centro Storico-Prati
An old hotel that has echoes of "The Grand Budapest Hotel", a faded palace where Verdi once stayed. Steps from Termini station and the A Metro at Republicà, it is an excellent jumping off point for your Roman stay. The staff is extremely friendly. The included breakfast is forgettable, though the garden in which it is served is not. Skip it for a cappuccino and corneto at one of Rome's countless Caffè.
The cleanliness was not top priority they only made beds they did not clear cups for days or replace toilet paper. The Defoe at night reminds me of the shining as well. The breakfast set up was ok but when ordering room service as the walk is so far the staff is rude See above
central location proximity to train station friendly staff clean and spacious room
We loved the breakfast and the location is perfect. Close to metro and bus lines and walking distance from the coliseum. We used the pocket companion for google maps and browsing so it saved us on our data plan Rooms were small
location is good.
Delicious breakfast. If you can get a room on the fourth floor, there is a balcony with a lovely view. Rooms were clean and spacious. Bathrooms are very clean. They will also keep your luggage all day when you check out if you are going to do some sightseeing. Showers are a bit small. But the bathroom as a whole is actually quite a nice size.
Close to allo public ransport. Quiet. Buffet breakfast ample. Cleaning stff did not clean/sweep room well.
Excellent location, friendly staff conversant in English, comfortable room, and an early breakfast which for tourists with a full day planned was good.
Rooms were spacious and very clean, good location close to metro and termini station, good breakfast buffet, friendly and helpful staff
Location and hotel staff. Everything was great.
Perfect location for visiting and shopping Bathroom smell and noise from the street
Eloquent, classy, clean and helpful!
Staff was very helpful, location is close to nice places such as Spanish steps and via veneto. Price is a bit over-rated in comparison with what the hotel can offer
5-star hotel for the cheap price. Ideal location walking distance from Termini. New, clean and modern hotel. Big bedroom and fantastic bathroom. Staff are first rated. Great buffet breakfast. Hotel has their own fleet of black Mercedes cars take you to the airport. All in all, the very best hotel during our 4 weeks in 5 European countries.
Modern, clean, and convenient to train station, shopping, and restaurants. Price of room with twin beds pushed together was $266 for one night. Price did not include WiFi. Desk clerk tried to get us to upgrade room for an extra $70 to get a double bed, free WiFi, and a small balcony. For $266/night, I would think they could throw in WiFi. Also asked desk clerk to make change for a 50 Euro. I was told they didn't make change and I should go to a small store across the street. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone as there are many other hotels in the same area that provide more value for the money.
Location/ Room was what I expected for Rome. We have to remember that 4 start hotels in Rome is similar to 2 star hotel in the US not sure of any problems
Great location and spacious, clean room. Free breakfast was a nice value too. No air conditioning in October so room was unpleasantly warm, especially during the day. Staff was not interested in helping us for the most part.
The concierge staff is very helpful. We arrived at the hotel at noon, after almost 24 hours of travel. We were exhausted. The front desk staff reminded us that check-in was at 2 p.m., but proceeded to allow 11 other couples/families to register and go to their rooms before 2 p.m.. We sat in the lobby for 1 hour and 45 minutes. The front desk did not check with the cleaning staff until we had been sitting there for an hour and a half, and I went to the desk a second time. Not a great way to start a vacation.
Nothing only the location the room was old and noisy its not a five star hotel i wont give it 3 stars
The atmosphere was great , trendy hallways and cool rooms. Room was too hot
Location The room had a persistent mold/mildew smell that we could not get away from. The bathroom door would not stay open and was very heavy. Staff was made aware and they said they were booked for the night, but we could switch in the morning. We never heard back.
All staff were very kind The gym was not confortable, very cool and not any matress at the floor for exercices, not sauna ??
Excellent central location just off Piazza Navona. Nice rooms, well decorated. Staff friendly. Bedroom was too hot at night - air conditioning had been turned off.
Stayed here once before and enjoyed my stay both times. Front desk was pleasant and helpful. Excellent location. Within 5 minutes walking distance from Roma Termini. Room was a generous size by European standards, large bathroom. Would definitely stay there again.
Rome was fabulous but hotel was a huge disappointment. Expensive for what it offered. Dinner for 2 was 250 euros and breakfast was 25 euros per person. Breakfast was disgusting with scrambled eggs that tasted like rubber. To iro a handkerchief was 9 euros - not that we did but this gives you an idea of what a rip off it was. Swimming pool is a small plunge pool and was out of service anyway.
Hotel was centrally located. Staff was very courteous and helpful.
Location and the art deco of the dinning room The room; too small and smelling terrible bad. The "mini elevator", the "mini halls"...The external appearance of the hotel is magnificent but inside it is quite reduced
