The service from the staff at the front desk and in the breakfast room was excellant. the location was great! The rooms were small and cramped as was the lobby area. hotel was ranked as 4 star but appeared as a 3 star. The food for the breakfast was old: the yoghurt was past the expiration date, apples had brown spots and they were the ony fresh fruit. the only other fruit was canned peaches.
The location was perfect for walking to most all of the tourist sites! Most sites were a 10 minute easy walk. We also loved the breakfast room with a view, and the breakfast was really good too. The morning desk person was very friendly and most helpful. He spoke English well and even helped us book our train ticket to Bari. We didn't like the hard bed and flat pillows. But that is personal preference.
The rooms were clean. Reception staff helpful. The hotel was not a 4* more like 2/3* hotel. The breakfast buffet was very poor, compared to the previous hotel we stayed in which was a 3*.The upgrade rooms were just standard rooms, compared to the English Choice Hotels we have stayed in previously. Had a problem with our standard room, but it was sorted out quickly and reasonable.
Its very close to anything in Rome. The room smelled of smoke, the breakfast was terribly for a 4* hotel.
The day clerk was very helpful. He always had a 'friend' who could do a tour etc. But the friends all turned out quite well. The breakfast room is very pleasant. The offering was fine -- would have liked some fresh fruit. It is really located in a back alley, so our room had no sunlight. We had a quad (two adults and two children) which was really small. The night clerk was not helpful at all.
great location, nice little bar in lobby, great view from breakfast room.
The staff were very friendly. Breakfast over looking the terraces was nice.
Very friendly front desk reception and helpful service staff. Location was sick walking distance to beauty sites, restaurants and bars. Breakfast was ready, fresh and had a sweet terrace view of the city. Room was mediocre size and amenity wise (physical dimensions were small, linens and things were average).
The location was great-within walking distance to everything. Unlike many hotels in Rome, it was quiet because it was not on a main street. The rooms were mostly updated and had a very charming decor. The person at the desk recommended great restaurants. They keep the dirty toilet brush next to the toilet, causing the room to smell. The hair dryer was old and did not work; I was ignored when I told the front desk about it. It appears that the hotel employees receive a cash kick back for recommending tours and transportation. The tour they recommended was not good. We asked for a taxi to take us to the airport and without our permission, they sent a private car which was more expensive.
convenience to centre attractions smoking odour throughout hotel; we had to change rooms on the second day because of this (I specified non-smoking room); bad odour from washroom as well on first room. Bread at breakfast was not fresh nor was scrambled eggs and bacon cooked well; and coffee was warm not hot.
Staff were very accomadating and made our stay a relaxing one. Hotel gives the impression of having more luxury on website than actual during visit. Room alot smaller than expected and dining facilities poor.
Great location, beds were comfy, rooms were nice.
We were upgraded from the annex to the main building so can't comment on the annex. A very simple but good quality breakfast served each morning. The decor and furnishings very tasteful, comfortable bed. The location is terrific, and the local restaurants seemed like they were there for the locals not just tourists. The hotel is small and compact as was the room. The room lacked natural light, and the shower was a bit on the small side, but manageable.
Location was perfect! It was clean and staff was friendly although sometimes service was slow because staff appeared to be limited. Although the hotel was quite adequate and I would stay there again for location alone, it was not exactly up to the standard I would expect for the price that was paid.
The location of the hotel was great, just a few hundered metres away from the collosium. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Hotel staff, dislocation room
The english speaking staff were very helpful. Room very pleasent and the hotel is in atmospheric part of the city no.
The room was very good, good breakfast and it is near metro station. na
The front desk staff was exceptional. The interior design was beautiful, the location was absolutely perfect - right next to the metro and colosseum. There were many (well priced) local shops and restaurants, but there weren't too many other tourists. They had great wireless internet connection as well. The only thing we were not very impressed about was that there was construction happening on the roof above our room - which was fine during regular hours, but one moring we wanted to sleep in and it had started at 7:30 (hammering right above our heads). All else was great, however.
The fact that the staff were always available, very polite with a pleasant disposition, and helpful.
It's near most of the touristic places in Rome, you can easily walk to the Colleseum and ancient rome; A metro station is 2min far from the Hotel, a day in the vatican is easily done; and you can take the bus and arrive to the famous shopping street Via del Corso in Rome; in addition, a big buffet for the breakfast is served every day, very clean, very tasty, many choices.. the service of the Hotel is very good; the people working there are very helpfull and talk english; they help you and explain to you about the city and the places you can go to, especially if you are going without a guide or a tour; special tours are made every day from the hotel for the persons that would like to join any tour. At night, lots of noises from outside, where there is a street at one side of the Hotel, many people walk, dine, drink, etc... too much noise, but we used to it later, and it stops at 1h am, so not really a problem;
The hotel location is super, 5 minutes walking from the Colosseum. Metro is 2 minutes as well.Hotel personal and breakfast service is quite good. The hotel rooms are bit old and all the furniture and other eqipments are quite used. The safe in the room is too small for a laptop. There is only one big cover on the double bed.
Pleasant & helpful staff. Realxed atmosphere. Good location for sightseeing. Breakfast well presented & plentiful.
Just a perfect place to stay, gonna come back if ever go to Roma! Super helpful staff! Perfect location! 100 m. from the Covour Metro Station Exit! The TV's in the room are kind of out of date looking (Not flat screen)
The staff members at the hotel desk were very helpful. Breakfast was better than I would have thought given some bad reviews at booking.com. The Colosseum is really closeby.
Great location and spacious, clean room. Free breakfast was a nice value too. No air conditioning in October so room was unpleasantly warm, especially during the day. Staff was not interested in helping us for the most part.
room was comfortable, big and relaxed breakfast was not good enough.
I believe the ratio quality/price is out of range. The hotel should not be rated as 4 stars. Rooms are not up to standards and facilities are poor.
Room was great! Cocktails were great! Staff friendly and helpful! Breakfast provided was great! The restaurant had beautiful food (Try the Gnocchi) !
We had a big problem with very noisy people in the room next door - still partying at 4am. We didn't get much sleep.
fresh and softer bread / breadrolls for breakfast would be a bonus for a **** hotel
Fabulous location. Great rooftop terrace. Staff is not especially friendly. We were never able to get our "free" drinks at the American Bar.
The location of the Forum is truly outstanding. The family room is great for a family of 4 and the restaurant is lovely - great food and great view The wifi network doesn't work and is expensive if it did.
I loved just everyting about the Forum hotel, fantastic staff, warm reception and lovely food - what more could you ask for no - just everything was fantastic
A good view of Roman Forum from the room. A good restaurant and service. Breakfast can be a little bit better but fresh orange juice was nice.
Unique atmosphere of the hotel at the center of Rome
The standard of the cuisine and the ambience of the rooftop bar
Everything we expected we got and then some. Food is excellent. The roof top bar was a delight at sunset. The staff was more than helpful in every way. Wish I could remember their names, they're first class. Location is great. The only con we had was the mattress was very stiff.
The location is nice. I use to travel extensively for work, and I can tell you it is the worst value for money hotel I have ever stayed in. The room had the tiniest bed I ever saw and the TV screen very small. It could be cleaner. It had a very modest breakfast with little choices. The receptionist was really rude.
Superb location, RIGHT next to The Forum, just blocks from The Colosseum and adjacent to several restaurants. Standard rooms run a bit small, as all classic European hotels do, but was clean n cozy and felt like home in no time. Top floor restaurant was good and panoramic view was excellent. The true gem at this hotel, however, was the amazing staff, who were all pleasant and helpful and genuinely offered hospitality every single time I came into contact with any of them. Definitely a smaller, boutique style property but the excellent staff n superb location make Hotel Forum top notch. Recommended. Would stay again.
The location is excellent, and the view from the restaurant is one of the best in Rome. Staff were excellent.
The staff was very friendly and was very efficient to answer all our questions. The hotel it self is beautiful and the view is fantastic. The location of the hotel is perfect.
central location the restaurant was above us, and we couldn!t sleep all night, because of the noise.
Couldn't ask for better location as a first time visitor. You can reach all the tourist spots on foot (that's what I did even though bus stops are only round the corner). Very good breakfast. Room size - so small that I couldn't find any space to put my 'closed' suitcase.
location is wonderful, right in the city center very noisy on Sunday night with disco pub downstairs till midnight, room is very small and narrow, too expensive with such poor facility
location of the hotel is excellent for all main attractions and restaurants The hotel staff were unfriendly and a touch unhelpful, especially reception. Breakfast was a little disappointing too
Location was excellent - also had very good lunch, breakfast and coffee facilities
Friendly, helpful staff. Clean & bright. Reasonably priced considering it is in the centre of Rome. We intend to return to the city & intend to stay at the Cosmopolita again.; The room was slightly small. The shower cubicle was very small.
the Place no view from the window
Hotel is centrally locaed; its public spaces are modern and our standard room, which appeared to have been recently renovated, had a nice old world charm with high ceilins and beautiful finishes.
I would recommend this hotel for its cleanliness, fantastic location and very friendly staff.
Very well located, confortable and good value for price. Room quite small, but acceptable for short accomodation.
Location, Location, Location! Location for value was unbeatable! Maybe a little more hominess - but that is just to be critical. The rooms the location and the staff were off the charts!!!
New hotel with in a very good location. Also includes a very good restaurtant.
very central for walking to and from city centre, also walking distance to Trastevere.
Brilliant location - within walking distance of all the landmarks except the Vatican. Given an upgrade on check-in but the room was a huge disappointment. 2 single beds on mezzanine floor, a double sofa bed downstairs with a hard frame, one bedside table and no bedside lights. But happily Reception did move us next morning.
fantastic loaction - walking distance to many sites
It was perfectly positioned for exploring Rome I enquired about returning in October with my wife, I would not pay the full rate of 340 euros per night, so it looks like Prague
Extremely clean rooms, garden tables for dining outside were delightful, breakfast & lunch meals were local and wonderfully presented We couldn't understand dinner - we waited to be seated but were ignored - it seemed to be some sort of happy hour/buffet/private function despite the menu being visible on a board. Only one conceirge was helpful/knowledgable with regard sightseeing directions.
A good quiet room with a good location Restaurant not open and breakfast was a shambles. therefore overpriced.
The hotel is really near everything ( coliseum, testevere, vatican (25 min walking), piazza novona ( 25 min walking ). Great staff and really polite. The bathroom is a like smaller, but it works
the central location, close to most of the main historic sights, very clean and new accommadation ,staff allways helpfull. none
I didn't like, the room was to small, breakfast almost inexistent, and I left my watch in the hotel room for a few hours and it dissapeard (the cealing woman I believe stole it) I don't recomand anybody to stay there
The location is hard to beat and the value is great. The balcony on room 211 is delightful. The traffic noise was somewhat loud, but not unreasonable.
Excellent service, nice location no
Pleasant staying Very noizy room, was situated at roadside.
fantastic central location, friendly and helpfull staff, clean and comfortable hotel
Polite staff, very clean and modern bathroom. Very good location for go sightseeing. Very noisy, the window looks out onto the noisy street and no conditioner in the room
Hotel is situated perfectly for all the tourist areas, just a few minutes walk away is the Via del Fori Imperiali. Staff were really helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was superb. We stayed for a weekend but will probably return for a longer stay in the new year we enjoyed it that much.
Near to Coliseum and center.
very central for our requirements whilst in rome like is too strong a word but we would have liked some fresh fruit at breakfast and tea/coffee making facility in our room
Friendly, helpful staff. Quiet, clean room with safe and hairdryer. Within walking distance to historical sites, city bus stop, ATM machines, tour bus stops, restaurants, convenience stores, and book store where we exchanged currency. They had no ability to exchange currency and no ticket service for tours.
It is a newly decorated hotel. Excellent decoration at rooms, excellent decoration at restaurents on roof and at floor 1. Excellent breakfast Location is 5-10 minutes from Plaza Venece, but still it is 30 minutes walking from mid - city
Efficiency, great room, good food, cool in hot weather
Large rooms, good location, kind staff, nice breakfast
The location of the Hotel. The service staff particularly in the reception area, and the fact that breakfast was included (not a small thing in Europe) The price for an additional bed in the bedroom where my 3 kids stayed, came out to almost what it would cost to have an additional room.
good breakfast, in a good area, kind people
Convenient location. Nice clean functional rooms. Great staff. Good deal.
This is a great small hotel. The staff were very hosptiable and and informative regarding sightseeing tips and directions. Breakfast was plentiful and good. Location is excellent being near Colosseum, Forum, and ease of bus and metro stops. All was good.
Friendly, helpful staff, clean room, good breakfast
Location, within walking distance of almost all main tourist attractions in Rome. Well fitted out, friendly, helpful staff.
The location of this hotel in relation to all the sights of Rome is fantastic. We enjoyed the rooftop breakfast room and the standard of the breakfast. The room and its bathrom were very spacious and it's a short walk to the metro.
Room was tiny - unlike other hotels in the area. Staff neglected to tell us about an additional fee when they summoned a taxi for us. We left early in the a.m. and they did accommodate us with breakfast on the go.
Location, breakfast accomodation
polite and friendly English speaking staff, nice single room, the room has a safe, good breakfast (excellent cappuccino), fairly good location within walking distance to major attractions (transport almost never used, just for a trip to a football match at the Olympic Stadium and the Vatican ), a quiet street outside the hotel in the evening, a good selection of inexpensive restaurants near the hotel (especially like to mention DoDo) minor flaws which is not affected the overall positive impression: the water temperature in the shower is not very well regulated (I had to wait some time before the water reaches the desired temperature), towels are too thin, more like a sheet than bath towels, TV is blocked when switching to some channels
A Friendly, family-owned hotel, excellent for my 16 yr old son and me. Well-sited, close to the city centre, in a quiet one-way street; shops, restaurants and gelateria all close at hand. Handy for public transport (metro or bus) to the Vatican. Hotel has been modernised; clean and comfortable twin room, reasonable size, air-con, double-glazed. Rooftop breakfast buffet, ample to eat. Helpful and cheerful staff. We would certainly come back here.
The intimate atmosphere of this beautiful corner in historic Trastevere and the fact that the breakfast was included (despite my booking not explicitly mentioning so), made up for the fact that the room was rather small.
I picked this hotel mainly for the price and location. What I got was a real treat. It's a 15 minute walk to the Arch of Constantine, Colosseum and Roman Forum. On the way, you pass the Bocca dela Veritate, Circus Maximus, The Palatino. Walk even further you'll reach the Vittorio Emmanuel ii memorial. The hotel is in the quaint Travestere area, where walking around will get you to all these great restos and gelaterias. The historic Fiumi Tevere is just across the road. And there's even a Catholic Church, San Benedetto a Piscincula right beside it where the priests are dressed in tunics and boots making them look like knights. The people at the front desk are quite helpful, orienting you to the sites nearby. Really enjoyed my stay! For one thing there was no wifi available in the hotel. I had seen a website (not the hotel's) that had stated it was available at this hotel. Other than that, I was ok with everything.
The staff were wonderful - friendly, welcoming and helpful. It made my stay feel like a home-from-home experience and added to my overall enjoyment of my holiday.
The staff were very helpful. The location was very central and safe. It was good to be in an old Italian building. I loved room 23 where I stayed for the first nights. But I did not like room 20 where I stayed for the last night; it is too small to be used as a hotel room. It was very uncomfortable. It was the only thing I did not like in this hotel.
Fantastic, quiet location in Trastevere. Paper-thin walls mean you can here everything from rooms next door.
good location, friendly. 24 hr doorman. Be on your toes when you pay the bill- they tried to add 40 euros unexpectedly. Also requested a wake-up call that never happened. Bathroom was dirty with a broken toilet seat.
The location of the hotel made it easy to walk to places like Campo d' Fiori. The staff was amazingly helpful, they allowed us to leave our luggage at the hotel when we went to Florence for a night which was immensely helpful. the airconditioner was really noisy, and also the walls are extremely thin and we could hear the people next door snoring, whistling and yelling. We also got reprimanded for whispering at 11 pm by the guest next door.
staff and breakfast rooms are a bit small
Staff is extremely courteous and friendly, hotel is clean, very convenient location in Trastevere. This hotel is very affordable for Rome. Rooms are teeny tiny, beds are uncomfortable, bedding and decor is shabby, and I've been in phone booths bigger than the shower! Skip the continental breakfast - stale cereal and instant coffee.
nil. The breakfast was very basic and consisted of pre packaged croissants. The heating was turned off during the day and put on a timer which could not be overridden. If you returned to the room early you had to put up witha cold room until the heating turned on. The showewr was far too small. threre was no room to be able to comfortably wash yourself. The room was very small and for women there was no hairdryer. For acomparable price one could get a much better accomodation within metrs of the hotel
Good location, basic accomodation, well maintained and clean. Very friendly and helpful staff. Dreadful wifi connection.
staff were charming and helpful. breakfast is brought to the room. beside the forum and colleseum. brilliant location no bar or dining room.
The personal level of services was outstanding. I felt as if I was staying with family. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Lack of wifi in the rooms but a cable was provided upon request
very nice and quiet room. basic breakfast.
The owner and Rosanna were very helpful. That is the best thing of all. The owner suggested a small museum that was a pure delight. The room was comfortable and large and tastefully furnished. They needed written instructions for the remote controls. They quickly review the instructions on two different remotes; however, the night clerk nor I could figure out how to change the language to English. They need a hook for a towel outside of the shower not across the room from it. Otherwise all was lovely.
The staff were charming and helpful, and the location (within minutes' walk of the Forum and the Colosseum) excellent.
My daughter and I stayed just one night at the Caesar House. It was an easy walk from the train and well located near the Colluseum. The staff there was accessible and amazingly helpful. The breakfast was abundant and delicious. We highly recommend it.
Very good situation of the hotel, good breakfast in your room, very clean, quiet, beautiful furniture, polite service
great location. On a noisy road
good location poor breakfast
Central location Needs updating. The double glazing should be tripled to cut traffic noise,
it was ideally located as it was near a lot of the sites i was dissapointed the room was so small on he internet it looked much bigger and the room was very dark
nothing It was not clean
the central position refurbrish it, change the staff, and employ cleaning personel that at least remove the feces from the toilet that the prevoius occupierr left or, alternatively, grade it in the 50-Euro-a-night class
The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is what we expected for a European hotel, smaller rooms but great style and with the feel of Rome with religious pictures in the rooms. The breakfast room was beautiful and had a good selection. The terrace on the rooftop provides an incredible view. The location was ideal for some of the sites and had shopping and restaurants close by. I would recommend this hotel.
Location We placed an order a month and a half a head of or arrival for our honeymoon and still the hotel didn't save us a room with an AC like we've ordered and forced us to move to another hotel.
2 great advantages: location and a beautiful terrace on the roof (with wonderful view). The breakfast is poor. Few facilities in the room.
The consierge - desk attendant on our arrival in the day was superb, helpful, made phone calls for museum ticket reservations and car transport to airport and sea ports; the location of the hotel is superb The breakfast room staff attendants... most acted preoccupied and hurried around setting up tables, avoiding eye contact, made all guests feel we were bothering them. Not very welcoming.
Central position, good staff, copious breakfast, lovely roof terrace with views over Rome Rather noisy location, air conditioning also a bit noisy, bathroom very clean but occasionally some strange smells
The situation of the hotel is perfect, bit far from metro but perfect. This room is not clean.I don't know if i can even say clean, better would be dirty. It's not the best hotel where to stay with a little child. The bed was also horrible. If you can find other hotel where to stay in rome for the same price go there. This hotel is max 3*
good welcome providing interesting, information, excellent location, comfortable but small rooms, excellent staff, quiet in the middle of town
Everything was perfect! Very good position of the hotel for tourists.
Rooftop restaurant is very nice for breakfast and evening drinks before going out. Well located to pop back in the evening to change for dinner or catch an hours rest before going out for the night. Clean, if small, bathroom with plenty of towels and toiletries. Tea making facilities were good. Staff were very helpful. Nice touch to have water and cups by bed at night. Air conditioning a bonus. Beds were a little hard. Light duvets would be nicer than blankets. No spare pillows in wardrobe. TV was small and wall mounting would make for easier viewing. No mini bar.
Location and convenience. Rooftop bar very pleasant.
The location, it was in a central location and we were able to walk to most of the sites. It was also close to the stops where the buses are.
location was amazing, very central, very clean exactly what we wanted no
Location close to all attractions. Three great restaurants close by.Rooftop garden. Fast check in and out. excellent breakfast.
