Cleanliness, staff, ease of getting around including the available parking. Free breakfast was also a plus relative to the accommodations. No. very accommodating
I liked the inviting atmosphere, seemed safe and hotel was clean. N/A
Loved the suite setup!
The room was all I needed. Breakfast Buffet outstanding NA

Breakfast was good, except pancakes were frozen one morning. Very loud, very noisy in the room above us. Coffee not ready at 7:00. lobby restroom and hallways were dirty. Breakfast same each day. Room had a stinky smell.
The breakfast buffet was amazing! Our room was right by the elevator & you could here it ringing constantly with people getting on & off
Great pool and work out room. Bar, breakfast - excellent. Very nice! no

Staff was nice, rooms are great, nice restaurant and bar. No complaints
My stay was great every one was very helpful.
Was there for business. A bit sparse for an HGI in terms of amenities. Rooms clean and comfortable. Staff courteous as always.
Staff was very friendly, front desk employees always greeted us when we walked through the lobby. Rooms were clean, food was great. Staff even bought my 3 year old niece ice cream. Pool and hot tub were closed the whole time we were there. We were told it would only be down for a day but it never reopened. After a day of skiing in 15 degree weather all we wanted was to be able to enjoy the hot tub, unfortunately we never got to.
She patiently helped me with my cell phone. Google maps so I could find my way to new haven. She didn't interrupt when phone call came in but put the call on hold priotarizing me, the person who was there. That there was no complimentary breakfast but would have added $22 to our billo
Overall extremely clean and comfortable One towel was dirty
Nice lobby and staff Uncomfortable mattresses.
Overall it was a very nice room. Great parking area. Very nice staff. The black out curtains were only at the outer edge of the huge window! There was no track going across so they could not be closed!! At 5 am the sun filled the room and it was impossible to sleep. Not great for a vacation!!! Unfortunately there was a wedding group up very late at night and the sun in our eyes at 5 a.m. Not the romantic weekend we had hoped for
Staff was friendly and attentive. They allowed us to commandeer the lounge and breakfast area for two nights of huge gatherings of family, friends, wine, beer and pizza. The indoor heated pool with two-story water slide was a hit!
The room is spacious ,clean and well laid out. Breakfast was terrific Front desk staff upon arrival not the friendliest. Appropriate but businesslike and not overly welcoming. Pillow was terrible. We wished we brought our own. Pool clientele left trail of wet floors throughout tiled common areas and elevator. This could be a huge liability for the hotel.
The neighborhood is marginal, and with a room on the 4th floor, you get a lot of noise well into the night. Only two elevators were working for almost 20 stories, with a wedding reception going on... made for really long waits.
The place is gorgeous! And the rooms were really nice! It's more a trend. When you get a budget room, so many amenities are included. When you splurge for some luxury, I feel like you are charged for everything. Breakfast was not included, wifi costs extra, parking was $20 per day. Elevators seemed a bit slow and there's only one of the 3 that go to the garage levels.
The bed is AMAZING. That has to be the best sleep that I have had in a very long time. The hotel is in the heart of the city and apparently does not have sound proof walls so it is very noisy all the time however they do leave ear plugs on the night stand to compensate.
Convenient location , comfy beds abundant towels , great conference areas. Lacking amenities like pool and expensive parking very cold unable to change room temp
evryyhing was good
Verry nice hotel, great location with a lot of accommodations. Don't let the price scare you, well worth it. Woke up with a back ache, bed was not as comfortable as I would have expected. Access to wifi should be included, but you have to pay extra.
The attitude of the staff was wonderful. Above and beyond. It had a full service feel - staff only, not the facility, and certainly not the scary parking lot. It simply was not as high end as I expected. I have had two kids attend college closeby, and I always dreamed of being able to afford staying at the Omni. We decided to splurge on our last night there after checking our of a rental house in the area. I guess I built it up in my head that it would be like a Four Seasons or something really nice, but it was no better than the Marriott or the New Haven Hotel which are half the price or less. Disappointing! I was totally unimpressed with the bedding especially, it was like a flash back to the 90's!
Amazing stay at beautiful clean hotel with courteous staff! I would highly recommend this hotel!!! Next time we visit my daughter we will definitely be staying there. Place was extremely clean and staff couldn't do enough to make you happy! Haven't stayed in a place that was outstanding in cleanliness with amazing staff in years!!!
The local restaurants & night life The elevators was fairly noisy & in constant use. The shaft was behind our room. An international convention of United Nations Ambassadors at the high school level was taking place hence, the elevators were at peak use......
Staff was incredible
Convenient parking. Very nicely appointed rooms with spa style décor. Paul Mitchell hair products in bathroom. Always plenty of towels for our party of 3. Starbucks coffee for sale in the lobby and free spa water in the lobby. The room was very well sound-proofed, because we were right next to elevator and heard nothing!! also room was SPOTLESS without a speck of mildew in the bathroom. coffee in room did not have enough set ups for 3. there was a charge of $2 for in-room water bottles.
Clean well care for Paking
Loved the complimentary fruit and fruit infused water waiting for the tired traveler in the lobby! Only thing negative and it's a big one is that they don't even free breakfast! I've stayed at many hotels and even the inexpensive hotels have free continental breakfast! This hotel should at least do that! they offer NOTHING not even coffee?
Room was clean. Kind of a rough area. People drinking in the parking lot. A lot of screaming and yelling in hallways at night.
Good for a short stay. Great location. Perfect for what we needed and at the price it was.
There's a shuttle available to pick you up from Union Station, which is close by but not exactly walking distance. Their staff is SUPER friendly and really have that New England-region pride of their city and the area. Their rooms are well-maintained and clean. The view toward Long Wharf/Pier and the New Haven harbour - outstanding, I really love the view of a harbourfront! There wasn't much to dislike, but important things to point out was that, upon entering the room, there was one single moth flying around - it didn't make any appearance again after the first night, so I wasn't too bothered by it. The only other oddity that I had to double-take on was the choice of toilets in the room - it was one of those industrial toilets - not that I have a problem with it, but it just wasn't the best choice (plus, the noise that can be heard from your neighbours with the same toilet makes it feel like literally being in a bathroom stall.)
The wallpaper in room was peeling off, stained and moldy looking. The ceiling was stained and poorly patched.
There isn't really anything nice I have to say about my experience. The location was good. Facility in serious decline. Room should have been $79 a night not $129 for the lack of quality.
It was very easy access to and from the highway and downtown. Always wasn't far from the wedding we were going to. Also the free breakfast was good. The LA Quinta was not very comfortable sleeping. The parking was over crowded and the rooms could use a freshen up.
The staff is always very friendly The bathrooms have not been updated.
The Staff was great friendly and helpful. When I got to my room the ceiling had hair stuck to it and the bathroom sink was broken. I tried to use the fitness facility and they had no towels, no wipes and the tv was turned up very loud and there was no remote in site.
No deposit. Location is good. Free breakfast foods. Plywood sink front. Old water bottles under tv stand. sound of traffic in the room.
The suites were good size with a full stove in the suite we had. Place seemed to be quite busy as it is right off of route 8 and near the Merrit Parkway. The bathroom is tiny! Sink area is fine but the toilet/shower area is claustrophobic. You have to open the door while in the shower so you can get out.
lean and friendly
A clean renovated hotel just a few blocks walk from Yale's old campus and art galleries. The breakfast buffet was inexpensive and ample and the rooms were clean and comfortable.
Front desk staff was very hospitable and friendly. When I asked for a room modification instead of acting like it was nuisance they happily looked into it and ended up accomodating. The room was clean and very comfortable. I will definitely be returning!
friendly staff, quick checkin/out, clean rooms, great location AC was set to 60 deg but never got below 72-75.. and the bed wasn't overly comfortable.
The room was clean, well furnished and comfortable Having to pay extra for parking
The whole hotel had a complete overhaul, as did our room. The smell of fresh paint and carpet... Love it. The rooms were spacious, absolutely spotless, (almost) everything brand new, great big beds with lots of pillows. I couldn't understand why they would choose to have such a big renovation, obviously everything was well designed and good quality, only to leave the old shower floors in! Especially as ours was actually quite worn and grubby. The combination of old browning plastic with shiny new marble is not my idea af a design feature...
The room is clean, tidy with nice furniture, hdtv and comfortable mattresses. The hotel is currently under renovation. Therefore, the gym is not available, which is listed in the web site.
Location in downtown New Canaan Someone is apparently in it for the money only here, the New Haven Hotel offers no value and certainly no "caring" attitude. For that it charges too much at $ 159 per night. You get: - Good downtown location. - Clean room, good size. - Thin walls, to hear the neighbors, and everyone from the hallways. - Mattresses of dubious quality. - Breakfast, a stale buffet in a dark 2nd floor room, is an unfriendly reminder that nobody cares, and at $ 13.99 someone wants to make good money. - Self parking at the Temple Garage at $ 20 overnight, when the public rate is $ 16, no value add, just a surcharge by the hotel. Staff could have pointed out that there is a free parking on weekends around and across... - Very friendly and helpful receptionist, one person only. And Housekeeping knocking at the door at 9am on a Sunday morning makes this a bit of a bad dream in New Haven. Good luck!
Location to Yale. Clean. Expensive parking.
Everything was very clean, and the rooms are quite nicely appointed. Most of the staff was very nice, too (there was just one check-in person who I found a bit rude). No breakfast included - even of the most basic kind. It's located on a somewhat dicey street. The workout facilities were minimal. The views from the room were ugly, and a bright light from the garage comes in unless you use the full blinds.
Facilities are modern and up-to-date. Very clean. Parking fees are not included in booking prices
Comfortable bed and room. Solid free breakfast with hot options. Friendly staff.
The bed was basically the only thing about the room that was worth the money. It was so comfortable and that's rare for me when it comes to hotels. The full size jacuzzi was good too. First of all, I requested a room far away from the elevators. My room was right next to it. Also, they bloody gave me a handicapped room. The nerve of these people. The first night I was there, a guy walks in to the front lobby to buy a room for the night. He gets a room far away from the elevators and on the top floor. Also, there wasn't a hair dryer in my room, no iron and there were barely any channels on the TV. There also wasn't any TP in the bathroom. The free breakfast was disgusting. There were powdered eggs for crying out loud. DO NOT STAY HERE, I NEVER WILL AGAIN.
The breakfast is excellent!
People and staff were very nice while they are going thru renovation. There were college athletic teams also in the hotel that weekend..They ran up and down the halls till 3:00 am and to my knowledge no one ever asked them to hold the noise down.A constant party till about 3 or 4 am then they would all go into their rooms and go to sleep.Very annoying.
The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Only paper cups provided for coffee in the room. When we asked at the restaurant and front desk we were told that there were no other cups available. The housekeeper, however got us some regular cups.
Clean rooms and lobby, courteous staff. This hotel was what you'd expect from a Courtyard. I went to see Yale with my daughter and the hotel was only convenient to the schools athletic facilities. nice area though! I didn't like paying for self- parking in an outdoor lot. There was a covered section but it was full. Once parked, I had a longish walk back to the lobby with my bags. The basic wifi is free. Hi-speed is $5.95. The basic was fine for slow-surfing the internet but to stream a movie, you might need to upgrade.
Service during their remodel problems was excellent The actual remodeling caused a few complications. Once the remodel is over. Things i am sure will be excellent
The room was comfortable. The lobby was inviting. Breakfast was wonderful. Front desk staff was friendly. The cleaning staff was rude and the pool was small and overcrowded.
Nice big room for the price, great water pressure in the shower, very close to highways, free breakfast. Mattress was too firm for my soft little back
Clean rooms and the bed was comfortable. The staff was very pleasant. Parking was tough to find. Very full lot.
Front desk was outstanding here and went the extra mile. Shuttle driver and restaurants staff were also stellar.
Pool Fitness room very small
convenient to highway and colleges Staff checking in was not friendly and was not helpful. I had trouble using my AAA when booking room. Upon arrival I explained to clerk. He flat out told me it was too late. He did not try to help, he did not make any effort to see if he could apply the AAA discount or ask a manager. I have stayed in enough hotels where this gesture is the norm. I will not be returning to this hotel when I visit my son at college.
I mentioned the breakfast was out of many items and the staff (a dark complected girl) said I was a racist!!. I was with my dark husband and I am white. It had NOTHING to do with racism. When I took out my phone to record her, she called the police saying I had no right to record her. The general manager (Rohit) came and we waited all morning to get our chance to speak with police who said we did nothing wrong. The General manager said he would comp our 2 day stay as his breakfast worker wrongly accused me of being a racist and ruined our day dealing with her. She further lied that she called police because my husband told her she should not have played the race card for no reason and it scared her. (not true, she called police because I was recording her) After telling me he would comp our family for wasting our day, the manager later put all charges back on our family's account that he said he would credit, AFTER we left and refused to speak with us until now! Even after we proved his worker lied to him about the events. By calling me a racist just because of the color of my skin IS racist on HER part. By the way, our children are all of mixed race. Access to hotel was easy and good. Staff made quick changes to an unsatisfactory initial room. Initial room was supposed to be non-smoking - however the room smelled of smoke and the bed (foot/shoe cover) has burns in it. This room was a ground floor room and less than 10 feet from the air-conditioner were people outside smoking ... which made the smell worse.
Leaving Hookers, cigar smoke and loud parties. Paper thin walls, terrible bathroom. I wanted to take a shower after taking a shower in that shower. Who knows what was on the bed comforter. Turn on the TV and the first thing the TV system attempts to sell you is an adult movie. The real treat was when the guy in the room next to me had a hooker come to his room. The art of negotiation for a $20 favor was a bit elementary but hearing him finish was a sound I can't stop hearing.
The staff were all accommodating and helpful. I really appreciated their friendliness and willingness to help. The location was also a plus. My room had an overwhelming odor of ammonia. There were spots on the bed especially that smelled like cat urine. The comforter was not clean and many of the towels had a funky smell. The carpet had wet spots throughout the room, and overall the facilities felt unclean.
Very long walk to room. Included breakfast was sparse to non existent. definitely needs attention.
Pillow top bed Little noisy
the hotel staff were very helpfull and friendly ,hotel was very clean and good value for money
Location-access to Rt 95 Shower/tub drain was completely plugged. I informed desk when I checked out.
Great staff, very comfortable, reasonable price, relatively close to an outstanding selection of restaurants, WiFi that actually works well unlike most hotels
I have never experienced a more friendly staff all around: front desk, breakfast attendant, maid staff, etc... This will be a must stay hotel for this area.
Nice staff, good location Noisy HVAC, don't get a room facing the turnpike, very noisy. A little tired
We needed a room for a short stay to allow an early morning departure by train to NYC. The staff were all very friendly, the room itself was carefully cleaned and quite comfortable, and breakfast was better than expected. The property itself both outside and in the hallways was somewhat old and tired. No pool or playroom; it would not have worked for the kids for a longer stay. Soundproofing was not particularly good. Still, overall it was a positive experience.
The hotel had the layout of an upscale hotel with a large lobby and eating facilities without the expense of an upscale hotel. Would have been nice to have a Jacuzzi..
We were there two nights and they couldn't get the TV to work at all and never offered another room to us so we could watch TV. It was like we bothered the front desk when we kept telling them the TV wasn't fixed. No effort on their part and we usually go there 3 times a year but will not again. Never mind the 11:30pm fire alarm because the kitchen burnt food to a crisp. Lobby was filled with smoke....
The front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful even at very late hours of the night. Staff members in other parts of the hotel were very friendly and helpful. One member helped my fiancé and I get into the gym when our key didn't seem to work. Some members of the staff did a poor job at maintaining eye contact with us when answering questions. This can be a major issue, as my fiancé felt that the member was not paying attention to her or was distracted from their conversation. This is picky but is the difference between being helpful and highly professional.
We stay at a variety hotels in this chain across the northeast. This was a good location outside of NY on the way to Boston We didn't receive the room that we paid for and reserved. I was traveling with two of my children and we all slept in one bed in a smokers room. We all didn't sleep well, ended up with sore throats, headaches and our clothes smelling of smoke the rest of the next day as we continued our trip. The hotel was contacted numerous times, said that they would respond and we have not heard back. Super disappointing for this property. It doesn't reflect the chain, it's really a problem with this property.
This is now maybe the best value for the money in the Milford area. Located right off the highway, clean rooms that are fairly new and in good shape, good staff, clean, free coffee and free wifi. There are fridges and microwaves in the rooms, and a laundry room onsite. They have an outdoor pool in season. I was even able to stream video on the free wifi. This is not a fancy, upscale property, but it's very nice for a Motel 6. I definitely plan to stay here again when I'm in the area. Nothing.
Room was clean and nicely decorated. Desk clerk was rude. Very undesirable guests. Animals were everywhere.
Clean, Comfortable, convenient to highway. Check in was easy. Was allowed to check in before 3pm. I will stay here again. Had to drive to next exit for food, but wasn't that far.
Motel 6 Milford is an excellent motel if you need a cheap but comfortable and clean place to stay at. A friend and myself booked last minute for only $60 which is great when you have two or more people (only $30 a piece!) The beds were comfortable and we were overall surprised at what we were getting for the price. Quiet during the night. Great place if you just need a cheap place for a couple overnight stays but is not very luxurious, still good for the price though. A lot of the items in the room itself was faulty, we spent a good five minutes trying to figure out how to get the lights on! Realized some were just broken while others were easy to turn on. Workers are loud in the morning, could be heard going up and down the hall knocking on doors and cleaning. Like many motels nothing was included with our room, vending machines were expensive, so if you choose this motel make sure you are fully prepared with drinks, snacks, and all hygiene products!
Rooms were clean and had most of the amenities you would expect of a more expensive hotel. Location had easy freeway access. I was impressed by how thin they can build their walls. Not only was I able to hear my neighbor talking on the phone, but I could actually hear the other side of the conversation too.
shower pool was dirty, didn't have towels, restroom sink/toilet? (didn't look, just reported) overflowing windows so dirty couldn't see out of them staff only miminimally concerned about pool
Greeted by all friendly staff. Aaa card welcomed with a discount and a smile. Forgot everything and needed all complimentary toiletries and they were a huge help. Breakfast...well balanced and tasty. Something for everyone. Great coffee. Lovely staff. Clean rooms. Big bathroom. We loved the signs on the elevator (one man's junk...another treasure type quote, car pooling." A great surprise since we were looking up hotels by location and cost. We will definitely go back. Thanks to all. I Seemed to be trying to encourage a more "green" environment in regards to laundry and things in the breakfast area were recyclable. However, we couldn't tell if the disposable trays, plastic ware, etc. Really were going to be recycled. We appreciated the effort and still felt a little concern for the amount of waste. And we appreciate that there is an effort. It was a great stay. Thank you.
Comfortable rooms and beds with individual thermostats and a spacious bathroom. The hotel is conveniently located relatively close to everything. Courteous and attentive staff. The free breakfast was mediocre to low quality; though they did change out the options daily, the options were few. The eggs were bland and made with egg-beaters as opposed to fresh eggs, and without salsa/tobasco (my preference) I didn't have anything to put on them to make them taste any better besides pepper, which didn't help much - similar issue with the cheese omelets. Also, while fresh fruit was available the first day, it was not changed out daily and by the time we left the bananas had gone brown.
Good location, close to Jennings Beach. Friendly staff. Bathroom had a slight "sewage" smell. Wi-Fi was spotty. Room was very dark, not enough lights; but if I had the blinds open, people could look in.
Clean, updated rooms with a relaxed feel & decor. Everything functioned properly and amenities were good. Very nice lobby/gathering area. Friendly 'family' atmosphere and staff. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will use again.
the pool, the bed, the golf, the staff and the area
pool, squash, golf, room
I lived and worked in the area about 15 years ago and I remember the hotel as it was then. They did a great job on the renovation, and it has made the inn a very welcoming place.. I was very impressed with the condos on the property. II had invited friends to the brunch at the Heritage Inn and I was very disappointed with the quality and quantity of the food. I had asked the staff at the front desk what was on the brunch menu; they did not know. .
Idyllic New England setting. Awesome gym facility. Wonderful outdoor pool with a grassy play area and both freshly prepared lunch foods and a full bar at the snack bar. Nice tavern on site with cozy, old-fashioned wood burning fireplace, pool table and helpful staff. Walking trails and a golf course. Close to antiquing area of CT, dairy farms and more. We had 40+ stay for a wedding in the area; it was a fantastic experience. Nearly all of the staff were friendly. Rooms clean.
I liked the hospitality of the staff. Yes, the bathroom door would barely close and the toilet ran all night.
