Your credit card requirements are ridiculous. If you want this stupid system, have a way to check the credit card before the customer shows up. Requiring credit cards that have chips with the person's name who booked the car is strange. It cost us money, time and anxiety. Will ensure to not book work you or Hertz again.Reviewed Sep 14 2024

Pros:The line to pick up was very long. Then the only card I had was my debit cards. Even though I had a photo of my Mastercard they said they could not use it so I did not get to rent a car. Budget will take debit cards so I thought I would use Budget again, They were booked, which is why my son rented a car for me at Thrifty online using his card. Pros:The car.Cons:The attendant at the pickup site was very helpful within his limitations. He spent an inordinate amount of time calling the back office(from what I believe to be his personal cell phone) to get a confirmation code. The process took close to half an hour. My reservation was prepaid with the tax portion being the only residual so I do not recognize the need for that much time being taken to process this transaction. It seemed that there was no real advance preparation of the rental prior to my arrival. I do not fault the attendant, I fault the back office support. I expected better service.Reviewed Nov 18 2019
