Make sure you know which terminal to head to upon landing if transferring at Los Angeles as the information board at LAX will show only flight info for the terminal you are at (1 of 8). I wish we had know about the security check and customs. It was a long distance between gates. It all worked out fine though. I forgot to add that the overhead compartments were built poorly. At least for someone my height and head size.

Delta is great because when you land, you are already on the domestic side of the airport. Since I take the train/subway downtown, way cheaper than a taxi or Uber, I do not have to take a shuttle all the way around the airport to the subway: I just take a quick link train and walk a short distance. Easy and fast! Like travel should be.

Toronto's customs was one of the faster experiences I've had. They opened four more lanes to expedite the process when the lane got too long, to ensure we would all get through within around 15 minutes. The public transportation within the city is also top notch, in my opinion.

  • Can I find a cheap ticket from Toronto to all three airports in New York City?

Yes. You can find affordably priced tickets from Toronto to JFK, LaGuardia Airport (LGA), and the Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). However, the cheapest tickets tend to be direct flights that depart from the Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ) and land at Newark (EWR).

  • Can I catch a direct flight from Toronto to Buffalo, just across Lake Ontario?

Oddly enough, it is very difficult to find a direct flight from Toronto to Buffalo. However, United, Air Canada, and Porter Airlines offer flights with one stop, usually in Newark, Washington DC, Chicago, or Boston.

  • When I fly from Toronto to Washington DC, can I book a ticket that lands at any of the three DC airports?

Yes. You can even find direct flights that fly into Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD), Ronald Reagan National Airport (DCA), or Baltimore Washington Thurgood Marshall International Airport (BWI). The cheapest tickets are often on Air Canada flights that fly directly into Dulles (IAD).

Top tips for finding cheap flights to the United States

  • Most flights from Toronto to the United States depart from the Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ), Toronto's primary airport. However, you can find many cheap tickets to the United States departing from three other airports. The Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ), the Region of Waterloo International Airport (YKF), and the John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport (YHM) are often cheap origin airports for a trip from Toronto to the United States.
  • When you want to fly from Toronto across the Great Lakes to Minneapolis (MSP), you can find a number of direct flights on airlines such as Air Canada or United. You can also find incredibly cheap flights from the John C Munro Hamilton International Airport (YHM) to the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) with one stop in Las Vegas.
  • While you can find many cheap flights from Toronto to Los Angeles that are direct and non-stop, the cheapest flights often entail one stop in Vancouver. These flights generally require a self-transfer when you change from Flair Airlines to Spirit Airlines at the Vancouver International Airport (YVR).
  • Cheap airline tickets booked through KAYAK that fly from Toronto to Dallas have the option of landing at either the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) or the Dallas Love Field Airport (DAL). Though you can find tickets to both Dallas airports, tickets to Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) tend to be significantly cheaper.
  • For those who want to fly from Toronto to Florida in order to visit Disney World, you can find many cheap flights to the Orlando International Airport (MCO). Air Transat, Air Canada, and WestJet offer incredibly inexpensive direct flights. Delta and United offer cheap flights that have one stop, often in Detroit, New York, or Washington DC.

Great! Personable crew. I love that they pour complimentary beer and wine.

I love the 2 seats per row. More room. The crew were excellent.

It was amazing although they did bump us up to the front which gave us more leg room and a meal. The service was great! The staff were friendly. :)

Overall very good... staff were friendly and helpful. boarding was good for the most part, but a little hard to get our carry-on bags on there.... I think people should be directed to keep their coats and small bags with them until all the carry-ons are loaded, and then, if there is space, they can put their small bags and coats up top.. makes it much easier to put baggage up. i loved the internet feature, but the entertainment was not there unless you have your own Netflix or similar platform. My chair did not recline, which was very annoying, and the arms won't go up near the isle, which makes it tough to get in and out of the seat.

Staff were excellant. Only snacks served. Some turbulence so we were offered Free beer or wine.

The staff is always great. Just the fact that our flight was the only one delayed from Halifax when all other carries were still flying. It happen a year ago out of Toronto as well. All others were flying but our flight got cancelled 1 hr before the time of departure.

The only issue had when i mentioned about comfort was the man beside me was on the larger side and took about 1/3 of my seat where i was pressed against the wall/window of the plane for the trip.

The check-in staff, boarding staff, and flight crew were all very friendly. Really miss the Porter lounge in Ottawa.

Thanks for giving a beer to everyone in the seat infront of me and then telling me that I can’t have one because they are going to land. I guess I need to pay for a seat and then pick one in the very front of the plane

It was all good flight was on time, service was good I enjoyed a few movies and everything was smooth

Efficient, calm when things were delayed and kept us regularly informed of what was happening.

Airbus plane, nice and polite staff, entertainment even as it was a short flight.

Very nice and clean plane. Transit time between flights was tight though

Our flights got changed from United to Air Canada and our purchased seats did not get transferred so we had to pay for seats twice. I brought it up with Air Canada and they stated I had to go back and chase it with United. The united seats were $21 Canadian each and Air Canada were $56 each so we have paid $77 for each seat. Very unhappy

So far so good but food and entertainment are not available for this flight

Plane temperature was comfortable (not to hot) when boarding and waiting for takeoff.

Michael, our FA was very attentive, even finding me a chocolate brownie from economy class when the dessert selections were all dairy based. ( intolerant, not allergic so don’t usually need to order dairy free)

We tried to upgrade to economy premium but were told this was not possible as we had booked through United Airlines (and Air Canada was operating the flight). This seemed silly given there was ample space in economy premium. Additionally, we had to wait almost 1.5 hours upon arrival to taxi to the gate. Otherwise, the crew were very pleasant and passengers were friendly.

It was my first time with United Airlines and I would say it was very good experience and best of all the flights were on time. Will definitely fly with United Airlines next time.

AA re-routed flight from HNL to LAX due to delay. My group of 3 with reserved seats in row 9 was broken up, with one assigned to a middle seat, another in the last row of the plane. Not happy. No explanation to the delay. No apologies. No compensation. Would have been nice to be offered an Admiral Club admission or a voucher for the extra 3 hours of layover in LAX. Could not hear the boarding gate announcements in LAX. Adjacent gate was boarding at the same time. Loud speakers were competing against each other. Barely made my boarding group.

Boarding gate in Honolulu was staffed with a great clerk with a soothing voice despite the flight delay of over an hour. Flight attendants in the plane were all grumpy, not pleasant looking bunch. Their sour attitude showed throughout the flight. Inly able to get a select few movies started. Most of the movie links in the “free entertainment” did not work.

Above and beyond effort from this crew in a tough situation. So helpful and understanding. Thank you!

I flew Business Class. Rory, one of the Cabin stewards, was attentive, explained the menu, provided appropriate drinks. was

The flight delay in Dallas created a domino effect that impacted all connecting flights, leading to an increase in the number of connections. As a result, I missed my flight from Casablanca to Marrakech due to the tight turnaround when landing in Casablanca. CMN Airport was understaffed; only one employee was available to assist passengers while others just stood by and watched. It was an extremely frustrating situation. Many passengers were crying and banging their hands on the counter while talking to customer service representative Allabough. Unfortunately, Allabough couldn’t change my flight in the system. At the same time, I was on the phone with an American Airlines customer service representative named Solomon, who said he couldn’t make the change either. So, I decided to take an ONYA Voyages train from Casablanca to Marrakech to reach my destination on Friday, June 26. It turned out to be an unpredictable trip.

The flight was fine and the crew awesome. The problem is ORD and AA. Computers went down, ORD fell apart and a 40 min flight turned into a 3 hour trip. Guess the answer is to not try and fly to ORD after noon. But, as I said, crew was awesome and did everything they could to lesson the flight time.

Almost a 6 hour flight and the only food option is a cheese plate… and chips. Also how is it there are no options for texting on American. I’ll be going back to delta and united.

This flight never occurred because AA couldn’t get their act together.

Terrible. Cancelled my original flight. It made getting a boarding pass difficult. The AA employee (in a loud voice, so everyone around could hear) griped at me for not getting a boarding pass 24 hours before. I asked how I was supposed to do that when I had no idea what flight I was going to be on. She said (loudly), “Talk to AA customer service, not me!” I could certainly tell serving customers was not important to her. Our new flight was set to a completely different city. We had to change our rental car, and the price went way up. It took 2-1/2 hours to get checked in. By then our new flight had left. We ended up on stand by and had to split up the family to get to our destination. It cost us the whole first day of the trip. AA needs to employ people who actually care about doing a good job. I suppose those people are getting harder to find, but atleast try.

A cookie and a soda, packed like sardines, will never be a positive experience. Also, boarded a 5:30 flight at 7:45pm

Generally good. However. The flight left 30 mins behind schedule with no reason given.

Flight delayed, missed my pick-up had to Uber, plus missed dinner and medication, so sad!

WestJet canceled my booking, replaced it with a booking that didn't work (departing from cruise ship), and didn't offer any flights that did work. Their only option was for me to cancel and go to another airline for more money. Which I did.

Nothing to like because my inbound flight was cancelled without notification by West Jet or third party, JustFly. I couldn’t take the inbound flight due to cancellation; therefore could not take the outbound flight back.

The seats are totally uncomfortable making the flight less than pleasant. The cookies & pretzels were terrible!!!

Not the greatest experience everything was pretty mediocre. My seat was by the washroom in the aisle and was not located well as everyone past each other people were right in my seat and space.

The small prop plane was crowded and the overhead luggage storage is a smaller than on the jets. Other than that, the crew was good, the flight was on time and the landing was smooth.

There was a medical emergency that the crew handled very well. There was no “entertainment” of any sort-no movie/music/whatever. Food was typical of airlines: mediocre.

Late departure, so I missed connection in Detroit. But Delta gave me a great hotel & breakfast. Just sorry I could not get anything from my checked baggage.

Crew was friendly. Lost our luggage and told us it’d be in later in the evening of the day we returned. It was not. Still after 5 days have not received it.

In a nutshell, my bag, the one I have to pay for, because now you can’t even bring a carry on, did not make it. I am still waiting for an update. The fact that not only were have to pay for it, but on top of that we are stuck without getting it, it’s ridiculous..

This was an excellent experience for a very short flight.

No space in overhead bin, one cookie, 2 oz of juice - is not customer service.

Somebody either kayak or Air Canada booked my flight under my preferred name Betty instead of my legal name and I almost was denied boarding my flight

The ground staff was so rude in Toronto airport ...very rude and did not answer simple questions, and made me look like a fool. Very rude ground staff.

My flight got delayed 5 times and then got cancelled eventually, I had to get a hotel and uber and pay for food for an extra night without any plans. It was a horrible experience, instead of Air Canada, I was flying with United .

I had a nice flight with free wifi. So I was able to message family members and stream music during my flight, which made the trip go by fast. I also enjoyed flying on there Airbus A220. The plane looked very new and it also got up to speed fast down the runway and didn't need much runway to get airborne.

Overall good experience. The flight from Toronto to Denver does not have entertainment - movies to watch.

Ensure prepaid food arrangements are appropriately understood by flight crew of who purchased and who did not

All was fine. Weather was a bit stormy, but nothing kayak can do about that! 😊
