Very efficient and effective. Fight crew and captain did a good job given the weather delays and turbulence…
Worst experience ever. My carry on was checked in and I had to carry all my electronics (laptop, etc) as if I was lost. No food. No proper AC. It was clearly stated that I have a carry on that I could bring with me and I wasn't allowed a carry on upon boarding. I flew many airlines (International and domestic airlines) and this by far is the worst experience I've had.
2 hour delay in Montreal sitting in the planes and then 50 minutes waiting for a gate in Chicago. The least they could do was to give us snacks while we sat in the plane over the dinner hour. Instead they wanted $6 for pretzels, chips or crackers. Come on at least give us those for free while we wait on a 3 hour delay.
No complimentary food only water and soda. Of course seats were tight. However flight was timely and crew was pleasant and we arrived early.
Air Canada has the worst reliability of any airline I’ve ever dealt with. Their hold times to speak to an agent are deplorable.
Getting up at 4:30 am to only find out, after you check-in at 6:00 am that your 8:00 am flight will be delayed 3 1/2 hours was not a great start to our return trip. No explanation given. We were finally able to get a connecting flight out of Munich later in the day (8 hours later than planned), but on an old A350-900 (worn out seats, and not the good seats locations I selected 4 months ago). I specifically avoid the A350 with Lufthansa because they typically have an older fleet. Only pleasant part of the return trip was that our bags were actually at the carousel in Pierson before we were (first time in almost 10 years!).
Legroom was not good and can be improved and food needs upgrade.
air canada plane was old, entertainment system was a little wonky, and the insistence on gate-checking bags when there was plenty of overhead room is a drag. flight crew was really good and a warm egg sandwich was a surprise on a 6 am flight.
