Pros: Very upscale beautiful resort. The best food, prepared elegantly. the nicest and most attentative staff you could ever meet. beautiful beaches and pool area. one of my favorite spots on this planet

Cons: The hotel was under renovation. No one at the check in mentioned anything about it and put up in a room directly under it.

Pros: The resort is very beautiful (especially inside). I had the King ocean front view room which was big, clean and with an amazing comfortable bed. The staff is always friendly, smiling and helpful. "Italian" restaurant is not very authentic but has potential. Azur restaurant is the best in food and service. The beach is clean and there are kind of beach beds where you can stay. SPA is also very nice. I'd love to come back.

Cons: At our arrival we were offered a fast tour of the facilities and we were told that attending a 90 minutes presentation the day after we were receiving a discount on couple massage and on trips to Isla Mujeres. We were told that the presentation was about other parts of the hotel (master suite etc) so we accepted. The day of the presentation instead we were spending 2 and half hours with people that asked personal questions and tried to convince us to subscribe a membership for travels whose cost is over 30.000$ to be paid in 40 years! When we refused they proposed us a second offer for the cost of 12.000$ for discount on travels and flight tickets which we also refused. They kept going with a third offer of 2600$ for 10 days in one of their resort at next trip. I didn't like that this was not told clearly before. It was like a surprise and it lasted more than expected. Personally I have nothing against the membership and maybe I could have accepted the third offer if they were clear since the beginning. Also you have to decide immediately about every offer (you don't get even 1 day to think about) which is detrimental for them because people are not prone to sign a contract for several thousands of dollars straight away. Last but not least, when they saw that we didn't accept the offer they just offered the coupon on the couple massage and they said the trip discount was not offered anymore......I booked with another travel agency but this is unprofessional for such a beautiful place. I would suggest Live Aqua to not do this anymore. If you want to talk about membership say it from the beginning so that not you neither the guest waste their time. That is the reason why I am not giving 10 to this review.

Pros: The service was fantastic, they accommodated is so well. They remembered our names, it exceeded our expections. We are considering having our wedding ceremony here.

Pros: Well, it’s a perfect finale for our honeymoon. The best beach in Mexico, perfect pool with all included food and drinks. 2-3 days it enough and not need to take swuita any special room, anyway you all the time at the pool.

Cons: When we checked in they told us there were no ocean front rooms even though that is what we reserved. They moved us to the proper room the next day at least.

Pros: The staff were exceptional. Friendly, warm, genuine. Beautiful property. FABULOUS coffee shop. Premier stretch of beach. Staff were extremely helpful and professional.

Cons: My only fault would be a very small comment on the food. Some of it wasn't top notch, but MOST of it was. Which is very good for an all-inclusive. The buffet restaurant, Spice was superbly clean and very good and we had a great meal in the Asiana and Chefs Table restaurants.

Pros: Amazing, myself and my wife had an amazing time. The food was great and always had something different everyday. The people the where so friendly and willing to go above and beyond to meet your needs.

Cons: The service at the pool were not good: the staff was not kind and the orders took so long. The service at restaurant Fantini was very confused. The organization of the breakfast was also confused. Besides it, the place was full and noisy, an unpleasant place to have breakfast.

Cons: The staff were very unhelpful. On the evening of our check-out, we had just returned from a 15-hour day of excusions and asked if the staff could help us walk our heavy luggage to the neighbouring hotel. The manager insisted over and over that they did not provide such service to help guests transport around the local area. There must have been nearly a dozen staff just sitting around in the lobby at the time (it was around 21:00). For a 5-star hotel, it is very very bad for an establishment with the name of Ritz-Carlton to refuse to go not even an extra couple of feet for the customer after an exhausting day. It would have taken someone less than 10 minutes to help us transport our bags to the Secrets the Vine next door. I am a Marriott member and have been to 5-star hotels all around the world—including Ritz Carlton—and I have never experienced such refusal to assist a guest with luggage on their exit in such a manner. We won't be going back to this hotel when we come back to Cancun, and it certainly deters me from booking at Ritz Carlton hotels in the future.

Cons: Air conditioner in the Room very noise, only had the high speed fan option...this made the sleep unconfortable, which is surprising for the Ritz Carlton...also I was charged almost 10 USD for a Local Phone Call, unreal!

Pros: Property offers the best in services,atmosphere and location. Spacious and spotless rooms. Fine dinning with 5 diamond restaurants. Add spa, gym and outdoor facilities such as two tennis courts and multiple swimming pools. Large beachfront location with overlooking the ocean and white powder beach. All of the staff are incredibly helpful with their time and advice. Really enjoyed the in-house tour.

Cons: Poor wi fi signal all over the location. Overpriced beach canopies. They rent one for 200 USD/ day.

Pros: The best thing about this hotel is the amenities in the room and the location. The resort grounds are beautiful.

Cons: Staff promised to call me when my room was ready. Never received the call. Had to wait until 4pm when finally I went to check myself and they said it was ready. 4pm is very late check in time especially when they have a check out time of 10am.

Pros: The staff were excellent. Everyone we interacted with was very friendly and helpful. The room was a nice size with s great view of the ocean. Room 1352. Pools were very nice and just the right temperature. Could get in right away without having to ease into it. Hotel food was good and the room had a kitchenette so we could make our own if we wanted. Markets are within short walking distance so easy to stock up on the basics. The beach is huge with nice white sand. Plenty of space to lay out and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Cons: The only thing I didn't like had nothing to do with the hotel. The ocean water was too cold for me personally and the surf too rough. My wife loved the high waves so this will be a positive for people that like the surf found on the east coast in the states.

Pros: Rooms were very clean and modern. I loved that they had kitchens and a washer & dryer. Pools were nice and the property felt very secure.

Cons: TIME SHARE WARNING! After we checked in my wife asked about spa treatments and was sent to the concierge desk. An employee made a hard pitch for going to a time share presentation in exchange for spa services. Not the way to start a vacation

Pros: Even though we weren't in the main building where the much nicer pool was, the view from our room was great! We were in building 11 on the 7th floor. Our room was equipped with a kitchenette, washer/dryer, jet tub, and lots of outlets to charge our electronics. Grounds of the hotel exceeded our expectations from the pictures and the location is great because the Isla shopping center is right across the street. Lots of things to do in the area. Staff was amazing as well.

Pros: This hotel is in a great location. We could walk to most of the restaurants we love and the bus stuff is right out front. The room is spacious and well appointed. The best thing was that it had a washer and dryer in the unit. The views were great.

Cons: We were not able to include breakfast in our package price, which we have done in several other Cancun hotels in which we have stayed previously.

We were highly recommended the Hotel by friends who had stayed there last year on their honeymoon. We also did our own research before deciding where to stay and your website is beautifully presented with wonderful photos of the hotel and there are several positive reviews on the web which helped us make our final choice and decision. We felt confident that in choosing a hotel which came highly praised from our close friends as well as winning us over via your website and it's reviews online, was sure to be the vacation we were hoping for. We were reassured at the time of booking that we were to be in one of the newly renovated rooms on the quiet side of the hotel. Upon Check-In, we were told that we have a designate concierge to help us we anything we may need, her name was Karla I believe. She was very attentive and gave us information about the hotel and what was available in the area if we ever want to explore de city. Everything was ok until this point, then she continue to announce that the hotel operates on a “Time Share” basis, which I was shocked because I did never saw that anywhere on your website or at the time of the booking otherwise I would have discard this location immediately. We explain to her that we don’t have the time and that we are not interested in any offer or promotion for a “Time Share” but she didn’t want to get “no” for an answer. We had to literally get up and leave her desk, we felt harassed by her to the point that we had to ignored her and rush to the closest elevator.

Pros: Hotel employee at the pool tide us up with towels when we arrived and service throughout our stay at the pool or beach. Hotel employee was my massage therapist and the peace of mind massage was wonderful . The spa area was all very relaxing

Pros: + Property: Nice landscaping, beautiful beach front, excellent "adult only" pool. Overall it was nicely maintained. Royal tower room was beautiful with a large balcony, huge bathroom, couch/sitting area, and unobstructed view of the ocean. + Staff: Bartenders & wait staff at the adult pool and rooftop bar were awesome. Waiters at all of the restaurants were good. Cleaning/maid staff were excellent and kept our room looking spectacular everyday. The Royal Tower concierge (Gabriela) was very helpful with accommodating a special request we had. + Food: Good variety. Dinner at the Oriental, and breakfast buffet were the best meals we had during our stay.

Cons: - Property: **BEWARE** when booking that this resort goes by "building type" and not "room type." I thought we had booked a room with a King bed but was told there were none available, but we could upgrade to a "Royal Tower Room" with a King for $240 USD. After much frustration and back and forth with person at the front desk, he offered us a "COMPLIMENTARY UPGRADE" to the "Royal Tower Room".......for $50 USD cash he put directly into his pocket. Also -- the 1 and only hot tub was located near the family pool and was filled with young children everyday. There was feces sitting on the steps to the hot tub that were there for at least a half hour before someone pointed them out to maintenance and they were cleaned up; absolutely gross. And if you're looking for late night activities, you'll have to leave the resort because the last bars closed at 100 AM. - Staff: They always seemed to be trying to sell you on something. Beware, the workers in the lobby are not the actual concierge (even though they will tell you they are), they are actually selling timeshare. The real concierge is the opposite direction, near the elevators/banquet hall. Wait staff at the restaurants generally would not refill our water glasses unless we specifically asked them to. - Food: Quality was "OK". There was nothing I would go back for.

Pros: Everything was amazing! All the staff were amazing, except check in boy. Restraunts are amazing and great service! Bell boys are super amazing and very friendly. Room service was great and loved how polite they were.

Cons: Checking in was horriable! After traveling 8 hours and having a young man that seemed very irritable and didn't seem he liked his job to much, was a little frustrating. We received nothing paper wise or conversation about things to do or any info about the resort. No towel cards, maps, agenda paper, nothing!! Just a room key. Check out was good. Thank goodness it was a different person. Not really any activities at night though.

Pros: The staff and pool were great and the food was fantastic. Plenty of options to keep dinning from becoming repetitive. Adrienne was attentive and warm when we would return to the Cocay restaurant. The cleaning staff was always prompt and never returned to a room that had yet to be cleaned. It is conveniently located to the ferries that would take you to Isla Mojeres as well as Market 28.

Cons: The hot tub is not and was never hot. We were told that “the electronics must be broken” but no feeling that it would be remedied any time soon. The waves in this area are clearly a perpetual issue as previous reviews have suggested. The entire time we were there there were only small slivers of beach that would have a yellow flag and allow you to enter but with waves from 1’- 4’. The ruins are a drive at 1.5hrs to Tulum and I would suggest doing your homework in what tour you take as all vehicles are not created equal. The van we rode on was almost without shocks and the ride was on the rough side. Snorkelling in the cenotes is a must do. The rappelling and zip lines were a blast.

Cons: Well, we were only able to stay two nights instead of the five originally scheduled, due to mandated border closures. Also, I thought that would have had more places to eat there at the resort.

Pros: The View was wonderful. the Food was very good. The waiters & Waitress's were exceptional.

Cons: The push to sign up for a club membership. The check-in clerk did not have all of out Information. they said they could not see our information. I was told we were upgraded & I said I already paid for an upgrade , our room was not an upgrade.
