Cons: The doors room key doesn't work for a lot of rooms. They said that it was an ongoing issue. So everytime my wife and I left the room we had to wait 15 to 20 mins for the front desk person to come open it. Then their was only 1 of them and they had to do check ins at the same time. All together we wasted about 3 maybe even 4 hrs of our stay waiting to get in the room we paid for. We ask two days for a manager and they always said he wasn't on site. Then the front desk ppl caught attitudes because they had to walk us up to our rooms a lot. They could have said they had issues with their doors and I would have went across the street to the other hotel.

Pros: I liked the area and the building was clean and secure. The staff was professional, helpful, and made me feel at ease. I was traveling alone and booked a cheap hotel trying to save money, but the other place made me concerned for my safety. The Hilton Garden Inn was fortunately able to accommodate me last minute and I felt very secure and safe there. I’ve always enjoyed my stays at this hotel chain and will stay there again the next time I’m in Charlotte.

Pros: We were there as part of a wedding party. Service and attentiveness of staff was impeccable. The staff went well beyond the call of duty to accommodate all of the guests in our party. There were a number of situations where extra help was needed and they helped with smiles. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Charlotte. Rooms were nice, breakfast was good, wonderful bartender and again, the staff were incredible!

Staff was super nice, and helpful. I really enjoyed my stay in charlotte! We were there for a wedding and it was in a convenient location. Traffic wasn't bad at all. Great place to stay if you are travelling to go to a panther game, baseball game, or basketball game.

Pros: My husband and I decided to book a room somewhat last minute on a holiday weekend. It was our 6th wedding anniversary & we were looking for something a little different than the past years celebrations. The first night, we were on the 5th floor, in a comfortable room with nice amenities. The next day, we decided to book another night & had no problems doing so very easily. My husband spoke to an employee in the lobby about possibly switching rooms so that we could see the fireworks. While we couldn't get a room on the side of the building where they shot off the city's fireworks, we got a great room on the other side of the building where we could watch all the fireworks on the horizon going off for hours. They gave us a sweet gift bag with snacks & since we were moved to the top floor, we also got access to the executive lounge, where we had access to free breakfast & all the other amenities offered there. It was great & we really appreciate all the help from the staff for making that possible.
Cons: While we had one night of parking comped, the $20 a night parking fee seems a little steep to me. We live in a small town where there aren't even meters for parking, so that's a bit of an adjustment.

Pros: Everything about our stay here was just perfect. Great location to everything! The room and hotel is spectacular, well layed out and the decor is wonderful. From the moment we got there, we were greeted by the very friendly and helpful valet's, to the friendly and understanding front desk folks, to the bartenders at night.! Everyone made you feel at home!! It was a great trip for us and as such many compliments to Charlotte Hilton and it's staff!

They ran out by 10:00 PM and I had to leave my group and run up to my room to put cream in my coffee that I got from the kiosk in the lobby. It wasn't a big deal to me but it might be to someone who had a bad night.

Cons: Noisy! Super thin walls. On a noisy street that was busy all night. The morning there were young adults running round and yelling in the halls for hours in the morning, a baby crying could be heard next door due to the thin walls with no sound isolation, and to top it all off there was this annoying 5 second loop of elevator jazz playing over and over and over and over coming from somewhere all morning long.

Pros: The room was great and comfortable. We stayed on the Stay Well floor and it was very relaxing. I enjoyed the lights being so versatile with the color and dimming options. The lights that came on at the foot of the bed when you got up were great so I didn't have to wake him up with lights when I got up in the morning. The location was great.
Cons: I didn't know the parking was $30 a day and the breakfast was a little frustrating. The restaurant downstairs told us 10 minutes to wait but kept insisting to go to the coffee shop for quicker service. I wanted an actual breakfast not coffee and a bagel but she told us at least 10 times that it would be quicker there. we ended up leaving and getting breakfast somewhere down the street because we felt so unwelcomed at the restaurant.

Pros: We stayed for two nights with 4 adults and one young child. While we were there to be out and about we didn't spend much time at the hotel. The staff was the best hotel staff I had met and I have stayed in hotels all over the east coast. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Pool was great, the bar area was inviting. It was in a great location not in the middle of everything but just off to the side.
Cons: I wish they had a complimentary breakfast instead of the buffet you could pay to eat. We choose to go out and eat and there didn't seem to be too many options fir breakfast. Im sure the breakfast at the hotel was good I just think there should be a complimentary option as well. Also who pays $4 for a bottle of water? The convenient store was a little high priced. $4 for a bottle of smart water you can buy a case of the same water for ten bucks 10 mins down the road.

Pros: The location was wonderful. We went to a Panthers game Friday night and was only a 15 minute drive to the hotel after the game. Even though it was 1 AM when we arrived, the staff was friendly and very helpful. I liked that the hotel had a security guard patrolling the parking lot. Saturday morning we went to the National White Water Center and it was only a 18 minute drive with traffic. Pool and hot tub were nice after a hard day of paddling and rope courses. Our room was quiet except for the occasional plane passing over. Thoroughly pleased with the breakfast options. I would definitely stay here again.

Cons: It was just gross. For example, I took a hot shower and the bathroom doesn't vent well. The steam condensed on the ceiling and in some cases dripped onto the ground. The drips were this incredible yellow buttery mess. One of the most repulsive things I have ever seen in my life. Also it is very close to the airport but it is not possible to walk there, no matter which way you go you'll have to walk on a highway eventually, so you will have no choice but to take a $14 cab. (That's the minimum fare) Also there's a much nicer hotel in the same parking lot, I can't believe I was so stupid.

I tried to check in at 1p but no rooms were clean, so I had to roam around for over an hour in the heat. They said they would call when a room was clean, never got it. At 230p I went back and they said they had a room. The basic room is kinda small, nowhere to put your clothes as in a dresser. Location is at the EpiCentre which is in walking distance to all the bars, restaurants, etc. Wish the pool was on the rooftop. I would stay afain, but in a bigger room. Oh yea, found trash in the bed too uggghh!!

Parking garage was full with no reserved spots for hotel guests causing me to spend half the hotel rooms cost just to park my car for the night. Requested she mattress which staff promptly sent up, minus any blankets so had to request that to show up. Room must of been right over club because we could feel every bass hit until 230 I'm the morning. After the club let out you every for truck passing by felt like it was in your room from how loud it was. The bathroom was a handicapped accessible style and the hand held sprayer was dirty with black marks and crud ask sounds the mount connecting it to the shower. I've stayed at aloft before and never had these issues I'm guessing it's dependent on which section of the hotel you get. But this stay will have me seriously considering the extra 30 bucks to stay at omni across the st.

Very clean from bottom to top, comfy beds, nice views of the city (maybe not from every room), extremely conveinient downtown location, and very friendly staff. I stayed on halloween for $100 on kayak and the front desk staff were in costume and very nice! I'm usually wary of booking through 3rd party sites having worked in hotels and having seen all the issues that arise. However there were no problems, no extra fees (other than parking which was stated online), and no regrets. I would definitely stay again.

Cons: The room smelled horribly of smoke. I really should have changed rooms. I let the front desk staff know and they did offer for me to change rooms and I declined. The next day when we were getting our items together to leave we noticed cigarette ashes on the side of the bed close to the wall. My daughter looked under the bed near the ashes and saw rose petals. Clearly housekeeping missed this and it leads me to believe no one vacuumed the floor on that side of the bed. Knowing this doesn’t make me want to stay there again.

Pros: This hotel really is at the heart of the city. It is very convenient to get around if you are traveling for business or just want to stay in Uptown. The staff is very kind and frequently gave me suggestions and helped me arrange transportation at the last minute to the airport. My room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The rooftop pool was very nice.
Cons: The pool area was not cleaned as often as it should have been. Towels and wrappers were left for a few days on the tables and chairs. Because of the pandemic situation, they are only serving a few breakfast items at the cafe that were pricey for what you got. Parking is also $28 a day for guests.

Pros: We were refugees from Hurricane Matthew from South Carolina. We were traveling with my 84 year old mother-in-law. We were grateful for finding a place to stay to watch and wait to see the results from the hurricane. The hotel is close to several restaurants which was convenient for the travel weary. We also had a couple of staff at the front desk, the afternoon/evening guys, who were really concerned about our needs and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable.
Cons: We also encountered some staff that didn't care less about our needs. My husband takes injections weekly for his arthritis condition which requires refrigeration. We were giving a room with a refrigerator but we discovered that it didn't work. When we mentioned this, twice, to the front desk the day after our check in her response was "We can guarantee to get you another refrigerator. You don't seem happy so maybe you should just check out." Not the response we expected. Our room was also not cleaned, unless we ran down housekeeping, 3 or our 5 nights there. The bad out weighed the good so we won't be back.

Pros: The day management team showed honest concern about my complaint and promised to credit me for stay.
Cons: My son and I arrived early in the morning. The desk clerk was no where to be found for twenty plus minutes. The security guard and another hotel guest went looking for her. She finally showed up checked us into the worse room in the hotel. Sent us the wrong way to our room. There was hair in the bed and shower. Dust every and a towel wrapped around the smoke detector. No remote for the tv. I had to plug in the lamps. We slept in our clothes on top of the beds with towels covering us. The room was musty as if it had been closed off for month. Horribly disappointed. The Quality inspectors need to come. Pictures are deceiving on hotels.com.

My boyfriend and I toured around and loved the decorations in the main conference part. I will defiantly come back if needed. Amazing price too! No issues with smoking!!

Pros: Nice, large banquet hall with overlooking rooms, but in need of cleaning and fine tuning. Location is on busy road with a 5 minute walk to some fast food chains and a couple full service restaurants. Room size average, but in need up updating. Room was mostly clean.

Pros: My room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. I was on a business trip so I spent relatively little time in the room, but it was clean and the bed was comfy, which is really all I needed. There are nearby food options and easy access to I-77, which was a plus for me having a long class after driving for hours the first day of my stay.
Cons: The only negative experience I had was the power going out the last night of my stay and the hotel being evacuated. However, that wasn't a fault of the hotel so I didn't factor it into my rating. They had a staff member escort me to my room to get my things and set me up at another nearby hotel. Minor inconvenience at best and I'm impressed that I didn't experience any unnecessary or prolonged delays getting it sorted.
