Pros: My car broke down during the Holiday season and rentals were hard to find. Kayak and Enterprise came through. Good service on both ends of the transaction. Thanks

NO CARS WHEN I GOT THERE!
Cons: No vehicles were left when I got there. Because of transportation problems to the rental location I was three hours late. Didn't realize I had to call there were no cars there when I arrived! NORMALLY I HAVE NOTHING BUT GREAT THINGS TO SAY ABOUT ENTERPRISE AFTER 20+ YEARS OF RENTING FROM THEM THEY ARE AWESOME BUT THIS TIME THEY DROPPED THE BALL WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM ME NOT CALLING. Oh well 99% after 20 years. This time ENTERPRISE gets a pass.................

Cons: Business was closed at the time of my confirmed reservation, so I was unable to rent my reserved car.

Cons: The radio was fuzzy, which sucked because I rented the car for a short road trip and was unable to listen to music. The inside of the car was dirty. Worst of all, the outlet for my car-phone charger was broken. I was worried that my phone would die while i had my GPS running. If I had known the charger port was not working, I would not have rented this car.
Cons: I placed a complaint with Hertz and they were very inconsiderate. The location I picked the car was hostile and awful to say the least.
I sent Hertz pictures and entire communication.

Poor customer service.
Pros: The car we rented was clean and comfortable.
Cons: We arrived late, they had given away our car and forced us to upgrade at additional cost. They said it was required by the policy to release a reservation if we were over two hours late. However, in all our communications we could not find this policy, nor could the agent.
We tried to return the car early but they said there was no early drop-off box at our location, however, four of us saw the drop off box. This forced us to return it to another location far out of our way which also incurred an additional fee.
In the fine print, they had hidden multiple excessive fees; a fee to return the car early, a fee if we did not notify them within 24 hours that we were returning it early, a fee to return it to another location, as well as the original increase in price when they gave away our reserved car and forced us to upgrade.
When we called to notify them of our early return, using the only customer service number on the papers they gave us, the number sent us to Dollar instead of to Hertz. They tried to transfer us and hung up on us twice. Eventually, we had to dig on the internet to find another number, but the people we talked to at Hertz were no more helpful than those at Dollar.
In all the people we talked to in person and on the phone, none of them attempted to resolve our issue or find alternative solutions to our difficulties. They were only interested in using policies to dismiss themselves of responsibility for the issue. If customer service is about trying to help the customer, we received none, only fees, upcharges, inconvenience, and dismissal.
Pros: Ease of booking through Kayak. nothing else.
Cons: When I picked up the car, it was in a seedy location on a lot that was shared with uhaul. my rental was the only budget rental on the lot. The attendant looked like she just woke up in the back, and didn't do a walkthrough to check for damage (and there was a lot!), the car was filthy inside and out and high mileage. There was tobacco and trash inside the car, It smelled horrible inside, and the rental agreement from the previous renter was on the passenger seat. The rental was in chicago area but for some reason the license plate said Florida. It felt like the car was someone's personal car that they just decided to rent out. Also, the price of the rental i found out later was much more than other comparable car rental places in the area. upon returning the car, it was like a cattle call, they didn't say one word just gave me a receipt and walked away. I didn't get a chance to explain how bad the experience was. But I doubt they care.
