Cons: The cleanliness of the vehicle was at best mediocre. The problem-solving skills of the agents for a tire issue we faced was not consistent among the 7 different people we spoke with, nor was the suggestion from one of the reps that we bring the two bad tires back with us even conceivable. How absurd! You're on vacation in a minivan with 6 passengers in the vehicle, plus their luggage, and the Hertz rep on the phone tells you that you can get the two rear tires replaced, but you have to bring the bad tires back with you, in the vehicle! Definitely absurd! The fact that it took me speaking to 7 different people to come up with a feasible solution to our problem is not the way to do business. The first two people I spoke with didn't even offer tire replacements on the vehicle. The only option offered was for us to drive to the nearest airport (an hour and 23 minutes away) and exchange the vehicle. If you are having tire issues and think it's a safety concern, getting in the vehicle and continue driving it is not what you want to do. One option not even offered was for Hertz to drop off an exchange vehicle to us and then they take our current one. That would have been great customer service! Train your phone people to offer customers solutions the first time they call. Empower your reps to help the customer.

Good deal for a huge headache
Pros: The car was clean and had great gas mileage.
Cons: I called hertz the day before to confirm my reservation. The person I spoke to told me that the payment was done incorrectly. They said they could reserve it again but under a different price structure. I had to speak to four people, which took an hour and a half to finally have everything straightened out.

Cons: I cancelled the contract after the location attempted a bait and switch to a smaller vehicle. The vehicle reserved was not available.
