We stay at Hilton properties because they are generally excellently maintained, clean and pleasant to stay. Unfortunately, this property fails to meet those standards. The staff failed to remove trash from the cans near the elevators. That trash was there for entirety of our 4 day stay. The facility was in generally poor repair. Cons (-) There was a mildew odor to our room (I have allergies), and several moldy-looking stains on the bedroom ceiling. It was also a bit confusing to have a gated entrance with no instructions on how to enter and nowhere to park/stop by the main building for check-in.

Pros (+) The staff was friendly and helpful. We had reserved a double queen suite and when we arrived we were told that they had none available. Apparently two AC units had gone down, forcing some shuffling of guests. Lucky for me, I was traveling with a girl friend and sharing a king bed was not a problem. Other guests were not as amenable to this change.
Cons (-) Both the common areas of the hotel, and the guest suite itself, were a bit dirty. The rugs clearly had not been vacuumed in sometime. There were crumbs everywhere. There was garbage on the floor in the hotel lobby and nobody seem to brush to clean it up.

Pros (+) This is the only Homewood Suites I've ever stayed that has has regular rooms. That's what I got when I checked in after a 12 hour day of airports and flight delays. When I complained hotel was full and they might have had a room for me the next day, but only a smoking room! Really?.... What reputable hotels still allow smoking in their rooms? Beware of this big brand name property run like a truck...
