Budget did not actually have a car for me at the designated site. They called that morning and told me in advance at least. Their agent scheduled me for a car at a nearby location in Cincinnati. That location called shortly afterward and told me that they didn't have any cars. The next agent set me up at a third location in downtown Cinci. My wife and I arrived there at the scheduled time only to be told that they didn't have our car. We were in disbelief as we were being told that they would shuttle us to the airport. Moments later someone returned a car and she designated that for us. We gladly waited while it was cleaned up and brought out. The car was in good working order and was clean, except for the fact that it smelled like someone had smoked in it and the attempt to deodorize had failed miserably. I highly recommend not renting from Budget or Avis (they are the same there), since they contract out for cars that they don't have.

They did not have the car size I reserved but did give me a nice upgrade. The car was filthy and the gas tank was not filled. So I probably spent more on gas with the bigger vehicle due to a lower mileage rating but have to admit it was comfortable. Return was awful, they advertised online on their website that the office was open at 11:00 but the store the office was in did not open until 12:00 so I was stuck waiting an hour for the store to open to get access to the rental counter. When the attendant was questioned about that he said “well, I was here, take it up with the store”. And no, don’t ask, the drop box was inside the store too so that was not an option. If you were to ask if I would rent from Budget again, possibly, but not from this location.

Liked that the car was in good shape and served the purpose. The building at Budget looked very unkept and not manicured. The drop-off was a mess, in that the contract mentioned to drop off at Avis and also leave the key at Avis if prior to work hours. There as only one parking spot left at Avis and no mention of where to drop off the car if Avis was full.

Everything was good, person helping was efficient, but there was only one person. Waited over 1/2 hour because of previous guests. Probably couldn’t be helped.

I prepaid for the weekly rate but was charged extra because I didn't notify them I kept the car the full 7 days instead of 6 days.

Easy and fast. Check in outside. Better. Safer!

Cons:

The markers in the lot explaining where to go were confusing or absent. Luckily the guys in the yard were very helpful

Pros:

The lady who helped was very nice. The car type I rented was not available and ready upon arrival, but she was able to provide a comp upgrade for the inconvenience.

Cons:

Pretty long want times to actually get the car, but the agent was by herself do all she could and keeping me up to date, so I gave her the benefit of the doubt.

Nothing they were rude sent me somewhere else where they changed me 450 for 2 days and 230 deposit i haven’t gotten back

Cons:

Everything knowing that they could take advantage just because we are outsiders

1) Give us the car that was promised 2) Don’t make us drive around to a different airport to pick up a totally different car. 3) Don’t make us wait for long (more than an hour) after promised time. We have young children, a senior in a wheelchair and we were tired from travelling.
